CHILAS!!!! Oh Man! A Diamond in The Rough! At first glance, it looks like someone bought a house and turned it into a small restaurant. We walked in and walked straight to the back counter where the menu was. We ordered there and sat down. Quickly realizing we should have just sat down straight away and ordered from our table. Haha oops. Embarrassing but whatever, we had no clue and I'm not entirely sure anyone who works there spoke English. But don't let any of this scare you away, the food is SO GOOD! Street Tacos are $1 and SOO BOMB. Loaded with meat! Toppings are at a "topping station" so help yourself! Tortillas are homemade and delishhhhhh Albondigas Soup reminds me of my Great Grandmas and is PERFECT for a cold day! Chile Relleno was Yummy as well! You can tell the beans and rice are homemade, they aren't anything special but are good nonetheless! If you're looking for AUTHENTIC & HOMEMADE Mexican Food then look no further. Trust me when I say, this is the real deal! The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars is bc the parking sucks (just park on the street), there was a chair in the middle of the walkway (inside) with a bucket catching dripping water (it was a rainy day) which is definitely sketch and it's not entirely clear who, where or how to order unless you speak Spanish and can ask or unless you read this review of course! So my Four Star rating is a 4.9 for sure!

Carne Asada, Brisket, and Chicken tacos, at a $1.25 each, heck yeah! Soooo delicious!

This may be my favorite taco place here in Utah so far. This lil ma pop shop is authentic. Their tacos are legit! When I step foot into this shop, it reminded me so much of hole in the wall restaurants back in Southern California. The ladies are friendly, and the food came out fast. We had the pleasure of trying their Carne Asada, Brisket, and Chicken tacos. The tortillas were perfect, and dressing it up however you like with their salsa bar. The salsas are spicy, go easy at first.. will definitely be coming back!

Chila's Tacos is one of those rare and special finds that we hope to come across everytime we try someplace new. Chila's Tacos is so good that I breifly considered not reviewing it, to keep it the secret awesome joint (it was not even listed on Yelp until today!?)...but, that's not the Yelp spirit so here's the very first review. You'll be pleased to know that they've been authentic home cookin' for over 2 years now and crushing it amoung the local Hispanic community. I think Chila's is the best no frills kickass taquerria and Mexican restaurant in the region...Down to earth family place, that makes their own corn tortillias, ample choices of protein and you dress it with the assortment of daily ready fixin's, so we can adjust the textures and flavour profiles just the way I/you like it. Check out my photos for the current menu of everything else going. It's all prepared to order so your dish is made fresh and delicious. GF options are plentiful, which is a bonus! Packed with a loyal local crowd, and a waiting line on a Sunday, so timing is everything. If you don't speak Spanish, please be patient with your order, maybe bring a Spanish speaking friend and enjoy Chila's together.

Gross. I had a decent taco, but one was supposed to be chorizo, it was only chunks of fat. Disgusto.

Their tacos, were amazing! With the hand made tortillas. The only thing I didn't like about them was their awful customer service.

The meat is delicious and plentiful (I had carnitas, asada and al pastor), the prices are great, but the tortillas really steal the show.

A birthday surprise I'll never forget!…read more This restaurant came highly recommended by a former employee, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we sat down, everything impressed us. I tried a mezcal cocktail for the first time, the blueberry mezcal, and it was incredibly unique, smoky, slightly sweet, and just overall delicious. For food, we ordered the corn, poblano tamales, and the chorizo steak burrito. Every bite was packed with flavor. Portions were generous, so much so that we ended up taking leftovers home (always a good sign!). But the true highlight of the evening? The birthday celebration. Our waitress asked if we were celebrating anything, and I casually mentioned a birthday at the end of the month. She smiled and said, "Leave the rest to me." I had no idea what was coming... Suddenly, the entire bar lit up? iterally. Flames shot up like a volcano erupting, the staff came out with fire, bubbles, and this incredible energy. It felt like a full-on performance. Then came a rich chocolate cake soaked in liqueur that was just as dramatic as it was delicious. It wasn't just dinner, it was an experience. If you're looking for amazing food, creative drinks, and unforgettable celebrations, this place delivers on all of it. We'll definately be back.

For a second I wondered if they were closed, but someone eventually came out and seated me. That initial vibe had me a bit concerned, but I stuck it out. I started with the chips, corn, and guacamole, which was decent, nothing mind-blowing but fresh enough and got the job done. The Cadillac Margarita ($20) was a disappointment though. It was basically a glass of ice with way too much lime juice dominating everything; I could barely taste the tequila. The Michelada was better, solid and refreshing, and the service was about the same: friendly and attentive enough once they got going, but nothing standout. But holy smokes, that asada stuffed burrito saved the whole meal. The asada was ridiculously tender, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Juicy, smoky, melt-in-your-mouth beef wrapped in a solid burrito. That one item alone made me glad I came. Overall, the place has some hits and misses. If the asada is what you're after, it's worth it. Just maybe skip the Cadillac marg and don't expect a lively atmosphere on a slow night. I'd go back for the burrito.

After a quick morning flight to Ogden, UT to visit our besties, we found ourselves hungry and…read morecraving some Mexican. A quick Yelp search lead us to No Manches Way. THE LOCATION: This is where things got a little tricky. Street parking for No Manches Way is basically nonexistent. There is a small lot in the back through a narrow alley alongside the building. THE ATMOSPHERE: Eh... Awkward is a good way to sum it up. There's a tv with a DJ, in what looks like his parents basement, blasting club music. It was much louder than it needed to be for any restraint. Especially during the day. Aside from that, there were some neat murals on the walls and a variety of seating. THE EATS: Having caught wind of the birria craze back in Colorado, I was excited to see that they offered this here! Yay! So I eagerly ordered up a quesa birria (which is essentially a cheese quesadilla with a dipping au jus). My husband chose to nosh on a massive asada burrito, and our friend chose the street tacos. The meals definitely satisfied the craving and filled our tummies. THE DRINKS: Since they're across the street from a church and located in Utah, you will not find beer or liquor here. They do feature Mexican Coca Cola, Parrot juice drinks, among other things. I opted for a Pink Guava juice drink. It definitely paired perfectly with my meal. THE SERVICE: There's no table service here. You place your order at a counter in the back of the restaurant and receive a tray with your food when it's ready. Being the first time I've had birria, I was a little disappointed that how to season the broth was not explained more to me. It came with a plethora of cilantro and onion that I was unsure of how to use. Oh well. No Manches Way was A-OK in my book. I wouldn't be opposed to stopping by again next time we're in town and checking out more of the menu.

There were a perfect size... they felt a little bigger than street tacos but not overbearing. I also dipped them in the green salsa that comes with the chips and damn, that salsa is good. My partner got 3 birria enchiladas smothered in red sauce and the flavors were all there. The only thing we should have done differently was ordered all 3 meats in the enchiladas. It was impossible to choose a favorite meat option. The rice was cooked to perfection and fluffy. And the beans were the perfect consistency. The server was incredibly sweet and attentive. The music was a perfect playlist of Spanish hip hop and pop. Idk what the lyrics mean but they are probably telling their friends how good this place The decor is so badass! It has a custom painted dia de muertos mural celebrating the city of Ogden. This place just feels like a love of the food.
