My last three visits have been very negative, but this most recent one was unacceptable. I was told my 5-year-old son has a severe infected tooth that needs to be removed ASAP, yet because he was scared and crying during X-rays, they said they "couldn't do it in office" and simply referred us elsewhere. I explained that I actually work for that institution, so I know their scheduling policies -- they do NOT see sick patients and require weeks of waiting. Since my son currently has a cold, this means it could take 6-8+ weeks before he can even be scheduled. When I asked what other options we had for a small child with an active infection, I was told I would need to "do my own research." For a young child in pain, I expected more urgency, guidance, and care. I left feeling discouraged and very disappointed. Sadly, I can no longer recommend this office and will be looking for a new dentist.

We got in 15 mins early and didnt even waited in the lobby and took us in right away. The clinic was very welcoming to my son. Had toys and chalk board for him to play. The hallways and rooms were all decorated with fun colorful designs. My son sat on top of my husband while i hold his hand (since he cant lie down with me im heavily pregnant). There were tvs hanging up in the ceiling so my son kept distracted. He was very calm the entire time. The staff were so calm and friendly and kept talking to him. Everything went smooth 15 mins and we're out. They gave him free goodies , let him choose a toy (he chose a yellow car toy), and a free balloon! The therapy dog was also super friendly too! When we got home, my son can't stop brushing his teeth and showing me how to properly brush his teeth with his new brush he got from them haha! He can't wait to go back to see his dentist again

Our assigned dental assistant came across as snooty and spent much of the appointment talking to my child about their teeth as though she were the dentist. The 'real' assigned dentist gave a similarly stuffy impression. While examining my child's teeth, this dentist seemed more interested in looking me up and down than simply saying hello or asking if I had any questions. It left me feeling unwelcome. Since there is no post visit survey, I felt compelled to leave this review with hopes that it will help improve our customer experience. Most of us work hard to provide dental insurance for our kids, pay the premiums and extra costs, and trust you with their care. As for many of the newer dentists-while everyone has to start somewhere, bedside manner is just as important as clinical skill. A little warmth and connection go a long way.

After waiting over two months for an appointment, I brought my daughter Ciara to Dr. Rick Nichols Just for Kids Pediatric Dentistry today. This was supposed to be her first visit. This morning, I received a call from their office asking me to complete two new patient forms. I filled both out online immediately. We then headed to the appointment but ran into unexpected stopped traffic. Wanting to be responsible and respectful of their time, I called the office as soon as we got on the freeway to let them know we might be cutting it close. I was told there was a 10-minute grace period. We arrived within that window. Here's where things went sideways: Despite submitting both forms back-to-back, they claimed they only received one. This seemed highly unlikely given how their system is set up. Instead of helping resolve the issue, I was met with unnecessary rudeness from the front desk staff (I was given two different names: Melody or Isabel), who told me to "hurry up" and re-do the form or risk losing the appointment. I was already doing everything I could, and yet I was treated like I was the problem. Shortly after, I was told that the dentist had decided he would not see Ciara and that we would need to reschedule. No apology. No ownership. No attempt to accommodate or understand. Just a dismissive brush-off. I had already followed all instructions, provided insurance months ago, confirmed the appointment repeatedly, and communicated in real time when we hit traffic. To be dismissed like this, especially in a pediatric setting, is incredibly disappointing. To Dr. Nichols: If you're unaware of how your staff is treating new patients and families, I hope you'll take this as an opportunity to investigate and address it. Your practice came highly recommended by several people we trust (and you know personally outside your practice), and we were genuinely looking forward to this visit. Sadly, our experience was anything but welcoming or acceptable. And to the staff involved: In a family-focused practice, basic kindness and professionalism should not be optional. I will gladly drive farther for a provider who values their patients and not simply a mill pumping out patients.

I LOVE this place!…read more I have been to a lot of dentists in my life but this place makes me want to be a kid again. They are always friendly and the most understanding people you could have for a dental office. My children love brushing their teeth and are even excited to go to the dentist thanks to the staff here. It helps that their theme is fun and you get a treasure at the end of the appointment, but the staff is the main reason. Even my 3 year old is able to sit still for the entire appointment which is a shock to me! I have no complaints aside from the fact that they're an hour away from us.
