The dental office is beautiful but there is a fine line between being treated as a consumer instead of a patient. They offer private rooms at an additional $100 (optional) but only in the mornings and if you agree to a private room once- the office categorizes you as a patient who can graduate from that room but only based on the discretion of the people who are getting paid by such private room⁉They will refuse to schedule an appt with a regular room moving forward. You are stuck paying for the private room and front desk can't do anything about it. This feels unethical and not in the best interest of your patients. Every other dental office will offer you a private room due to hipaa and osha ( this is a clear violation) and not charge additional. The only difference is there is a door here and not a partition. At this office they make it so the chairs sit SO close together like in a dental college ( a dental bay is a clear osha violation) - that naturally the parent will request that private room bc all it takes is one crying child to scare the others. Either way, you do have to agree to it so it's not a secret either but again feels off and completely on purpose! This area is like the, "nicest," in the neighborhood I guess and the other offices around are pretty old, making it so that these type of businesses provide care in a different way, more like you're a number and not a person. The slide and toys are nice but not what most important here. It's too bad bc Dr.Diaz was very kind and the hygienists were lovely as well. Ultimately, I thought maybe I was not the target audience until the office manager called me back to smooth things over and never acknowledged the issue. She went out of her way to tell me why the have private rooms while still not addressing that the issue is they lock you into a room you have to pay $100 additional for and therefore cant even book a regular appt without their permission, the dr didn't bother to call me and Elaina even admitted there were no notes from Dr saying my son had to stay in private room. She kept saying you could graduate (wth?) I'm paying for this!! Delusional. This state is ranked the worst in health care, there is a reason. read more

This isn't just a dentist it is a carnival! Slides in the office, gaming area, a coffee station, lots of open seating, and then a prize area for kids when they are done. The dental stations are equipped with TVs and headphones for each person, and there is no messing around... once you are in you are attended to! I mean it is like a giant kids play place in here. Well decorated, happy and fun! What kid wouldn't want to go here. Heck I want to come here! Super nice place, great people, and a good location. Ok so, my mom took me here a few years ago and the experience was fine I guess. Place was clean and all the employees had very nice teeth. They told me I had two cavities but no big problem when they were filing them, I kept asking for my mom, but they kept telling me that she was outside and I was fine. I've only been to 2 children's dentists. This place came highly recommended by one of our friends. I'm glad they did. This is probably one of the best children's dentist I've been to. The second you walk in you know this place was catered and designed for kids. Outside they were blowing bubbles. And at the entrance, they had a kid's tunnel so they can crawl through to the main lobby. The main lobby had a huge indoor slide, a place for toys, puzzles, a movie theater, and all sorts of fun things kids can do while they wait for their dentist. Not only that, they had complimentary Starbucks coffee for the parents. They know their patients well. As a first timer, they ask you what their concerns for their child is and what your child values. They know that some kids are afraid of the dentist. And believe me, my kid is terrified of them. But they were friendly and made sure my kid felt safe and relaxed. It really eased the anxiety. In the back, where they do the dental work, they have TVs on the ceilings with headphones so kids can watch their favorite shows while their teeth are getting worked on. They are accommodating to the kids and will not push the child to do anything they don't want to do. Also, the parents can be there with the kid on the chair! Some place don't even allow parents to go back with the kids while they get their teeth cleaned. For infants, they have a little seat for them to lay on the lap of the parent. So the baby never leaves the parent's side. My kid had the best time for the first time at a dentist. After we went home, she wanted to floss like the dentist told her to. They were patient, kind and thorough. They explained procedures and the plan of care to me and my son, putting us at ease for his scheduled dental surgery. I can't believe I am writing a bad review after being with practice for over 10 years ... they strapped my 10 year old daughter to the chair to do her fillings .. I can hardly believe it's even possible ! Both arms were strapped to the chair like in jail! She felt extremely scared and panicked! They didn't call me they just basically told her she is doing it and didn't care how she felt. Told me that they wanted to recreate a better experience than one a few years ago! Liars! When we had Dr. King my kids were never scared or complained but that Dr.Diaz is fake as can be! My daughter cried and called for me while being strapped! both arms to the chair ! I can't believe it ! It's abusive ! If you are children's dentist you better know child's phycology and be able to talk to them without a force ! Physical force !!!! I have been on the hunt for a dentist for my baby girl and i believe i have hit the jackpot. W have only had one visit but it was memorable and definitely set the tone for future visits. The staff was warm, welcoming and hyper focus on ensuring that my daughter's visit was fun and enjoyable. Outside of the front desk receptionist Paula calling my black children by name when I entered the facility and when I asked how did she know their names, she said because they looked like that was their names , everything else was amazing. We just LOVE Children's Dental Zone! My youngest son had a trauma to his front teeth and gums when he was 1.5 and turned out that trauma turned into an infection 3 years later in his gums that led into 2 teeth. We ended up having to have only the one pulled luckily and we're never pushed to do both. The infection cleared up within days!! My son was so cared for during this scary time and actually wants to come back to get more teeth pulled! I'd stay away from it unless you would want to receive surprising annual cleaning bills that was covered and fully paid by your insurance got sent to you for repayment again simply because the office claimed it never received the check. Amazing experiences. This is the dentist office I wish I had as a kid. Many, many distractions for the kids. A small tunnel kids door for them at the main entrance let's them know this is not your typical dentist office. Waiting room is wide open, vaulted ceiling to make everyone feel comfortable. 2 floor indoor slide with video game room and movie room to distract your kids. Makes you want to come early to your appointment. Coffee and tea bar for parents. My daughter is usually in tears over anything that hurts. She was occupied watching cartoons on the ceiling mounted tv to overhear, but the dentist recommended four teeth extractions. I just knew my daughter was going to be a terror when she found out. Yikes!!! They had the head phones on her and talked to her all the way through as they gave her a shot to numb her mouth. Not one tear throughout the procedure. I was amazed. She even laughed and talked while they were working on her. I could not believe it. Highly recommend this place. A game changer for people with young kids. They have found the perfect blend of a professional facility while also being perfect for kids! The stadium style seating kids theatre in the waiting room and video game center above on the 2nd floor was genius! The free K-cup coffee bar was perfect for my caffeine deficiency too! And all that was just in the lobby!!!! My kids had their own headphones to tune into the movie which was playing on the flat screen TV's that were mounted on the ceiling (so they could watch while lying in the chair)! My girls are so excited for the dentist that I can't tell them until the day of because they won't stop asking "when are we going to the fun dentist? Can we go to the fun dentist now?!" If you've ever had a child worried or scared about going to the dentist, call Children's Dental Zone and that will disappear. This is unlike any dentist I've ever seen. The waiting room (make sure you come 10-15 minutes early to let your kids explore!) has a two-level slide, video games, a movie room, books and a play area for little ones. Oh, and coffee and water for adults. Once you're called in, the hygienists couldn't be nicer - they clearly love their job. Each dental chair has a tv on the ceiling with headphones so the kids can watch a movie (think Tangled, Big Hero 6) while being worked on. The dentists themselves are kind, gentle and, in my experience, have really explained what is going on. Frankly, I couldn't give this place enough stars. read more
