Long story short his concern led to her pediatrician (who had to clear her for surgery) sending her to an ear nose and throat specialist. It's by far the most beautiful dentist office I've seen, with a lobby that looks like a Vegas hotel lobby. There's a movie room to keep your children occupied while waiting, or adults waiting for their kids. He does such a great job, when my daughter had 8 cavities (yes, 8, oops), he took care of it swiftly and she had no issues. In the new office, they have a gold coin to give to them where they can pick from several candy ball-like machines as a prize. My daughter literally asked when the next time she can get a cleaning because she wanted another gold coin. Brilliant! Highly recommend!

You are stuck paying for the private room and front desk can't do anything about it. This feels unethical and not in the best interest of your patients. Every other dental office will offer you a private room due to hipaa and osha ( this is a clear violation) and not charge additional. The only difference is there is a door here and not a partition. At this office they make it so the chairs sit SO close together like in a dental college ( a dental bay is a clear osha violation) - that naturally the parent will request that private room bc all it takes is one crying child to scare the others. Either way, you do have to agree to it so it's not a secret either but again feels off and completely on purpose! This area is like the, "nicest," in the neighborhood I guess and the other offices around are pretty old, making it so that these type of businesses provide care in a different way, more like you're a number and not a person. The slide and toys are nice but not what most important here. It's too bad bc Dr.Diaz was very kind and the hygienists were lovely as well. Ultimately, I thought maybe I was not the target audience until the office manager called me back to smooth things over and never acknowledged the issue. She went out of her way to tell me why the have private rooms while still not addressing that the issue is they lock you into a room you have to pay $100 additional for and therefore cant even book a regular appt without their permission, the dr didn't bother to call me and Elaina even admitted there were no notes from Dr saying my son had to stay in private room. You have to call before you can be let into the building; one parent per child/patient. The office is bright, clean and welcoming with lovely, relaxing paint colors and beautiful, child friendly art on the walls. With COVID, it is nice to know there are only two families at a time and the staff is all vaccinated. The expectation is everyone wears masks (other than the child). They introduce all the tools before they're used. They have a TV overhead so the child is occupied. It was nice that they ask if the TV can be turned on for your child. Anna and Stephanie were excellent and thorough and explained every procedure as well as answered every question thoroughly and courteously. Dr. Cassinelli came in to examine my son and built an immediate rapport with us. She also was very friendly as well as informative. And at the end of the exam, my son received a toy rubber duckie as well as a dental goodie bag including child floss packets and toothbrush. I am always nervous going to the dentist so I wanted to make sure my son's first experience was comfortable and set a good precedent for the future. I had never had my teeth pulled before so I had no idea how horrid of a choice that was on his part. So he was only able to pull one of the teeth and then he got to the second bottom right wisdom tooth and couldn't pull it out normally at which point HE SHOULD HAVE ENDED THE PROCEDURE, but instead he decided to start cutting into my bottom right wisdom tooth while I'm still totally 100% awake and he is using nothing but local anesthesia, long story short it took him 3.5 hours to extract 2 wisdom teeth total! It took me multiple weeks and a ton of pain and PTSD related symptoms from being put through such a horrendous experience. The so called 'medical assistants' that he has working for him could not or would not pay attention and do their jobs well enough to keep all the blood from running down my throat and onto the front of my shirt, my husband was HORRIFIED when he saw the state I was in after they were done hacking at my mouth for 3.5 hours regardless of how many times I begged them to please stop yet he refused to do so. I am writing this review so that potential patients know the risk they will be taking if they choose to use this dental practice in any capacity. Other than one front office staff, everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Andy, in particular, is one of the best dental hygienist that I have encountered. He is completely bilingual (English and Korean). He is very thorough, explains each step clearly, never rushes through his cleanings, remembers little patient details, and very kind. Dr. Kim is a man of not many words but good at what he does. I really wanted to give that one front office staff member the benefit of the doubt the first time I came but she was rude again the second time I came by. When I entered for my appointment, there was no greeting. Just a quick glance down at me and she asked for my name. Upon checkout, she was on the phone with someone arguing with them in a very belligerent tone of voice. At a certain point while still looking at her computer, she said ,"when can you next come in" and I genuinely was not sure who she was talking to. She then proceeded to rudely say ,"hello? I am talking to you" finally making eye contact with me. Maybe this is just her personality but not the best image for the clinic. This was, without question, one of the worst experiences I have ever had at any healthcare facility. My appointment was at 10:00 AM, but I arrived at 9:30 AM out of courtesy so they would have plenty of time to verify my insurance and complete the paperwork. I did everything they asked. I handed over my insurance card, completed all the forms, had X-rays taken, and sat in the dental chair waiting. After more than 30 minutes, they still couldn't verify my insurance. Trying to be reasonable, I clearly told them that I didn't care about the insurance anymore and that I would pay out of pocket so I could receive treatment. Instead of treating me, they simply started making excuses. The woman at the front desk told me, "It's already 10:30, and we have other patients waiting, so we can't treat you." That wasn't even true. I looked at the time myself--it was only 10:10 AM, not 10:30. There were only a couple of people in the waiting room. When I questioned her about it, the explanation suddenly changed. Now the problem wasn't the next patients anymore--it was because they had spent too much time trying to verify my insurance. The excuses kept changing. Even after I clearly said, "I'll pay for everything myself," they still refused to treat me. What made the experience even worse was the front desk staff. The woman at the front desk was incredibly rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. She showed absolutely no respect for me as a patient. Instead of trying to solve the problem, she kept changing her explanation and acted as if my time didn't matter at all. I have never been treated with such disrespect in a medical office. Then came the most shocking part. The dentist looked at my tooth and immediately said, "Oh... what are we going to do?" Those were the first words out of the dentist's mouth. Patients go to a dentist because they expect confidence, professionalism, and expertise. If a dentist looks at a patient's tooth and openly says, "What are we going to do?" how is any patient supposed to trust that dentist? Instead of giving me confidence, those words immediately made me question whether the dentist was capable of handling my case. After that, the dentist walked out, talked with the front desk staff, came back, and still refused to provide any treatment. I arrived 30 minutes early, cooperated with everything they requested, waited because of their delays, even agreed to pay completely out of pocket, and still left without receiving any treatment. This office wasted my time, ignored my willingness to pay, changed their explanations repeatedly, treated me disrespectfully, and showed a complete lack of professionalism from both the front desk and the dentist. I will never return, and I strongly recommend that anyone looking for a dentist choose another office that actually values patients, respects their time, and treats them with professionalism.
