All three of my kids were seen as new patients. (Ages 9, 8 and 3) scheduling appointments & completing intake forms was seamless. The visit itself went amazingly well. I was so impressed with how well my 3yr old did. This was by far the most successful dental visit from beginning to end. Our son recently needed a dental procedure under anesthesia. I appreciated how every step was explained to us, start to finish. There were no surprises because they planned and prepared us for them as well. Any parent would be worried with their child going under. Having everyone walk through the process from payment, to phone calls, to anesthesia, really eased our nerves. I'm addition, they were timely and their partnership with the anesthesiologist was so smooth. You could tell they've worked in collaboration for a long time. read more

I get it that each experience is different, but we have been going here for about 2+ years now and each time we have found this waiting room/office to be clean/inviting (ahem, free Wifi) and the service is quick and efficient. The interactions with both the Staff (very friendly) and Dr. Wittich (wonderful with both my kids who were 8, 11 when we started there) have been nothing but positive - and in all honesty, my daughter can be a HANDFUL if not handled with kid gloves. From a billing standpoint, I have never had even a smallish issue in them dealing with my insurance - which is nice. Highly recommended! read more

All three of my children love going to Children's Dentistry of Kyle. They range in age from 4-13. The youngest literally counted down the days in advance of their check-up out of excitement for the prize machine. All of the staff are friendly, helpful and interact with the kids well. The environment is warm, inviting and clean. Dr. Jeremy always makes a point to establish rapport with the kids before beginning an exam and makes sure that my husband and I have an opportunity to ask any questions we might have. I also like that he is not quick to recommend invasive procedures that are not needed and explains his reasoning and makes sure that I understand. read more

After being highly recommended by other mom friends, I decided to bring my son here for his first dental visit. Throughout the appointment making process over the phone, the staff was incredibly sweet. They described exactly what we should expect, how long it should take, and that the first appointment would be educational and also complimentary. Later in the week I had to call to reschedule for another day and they were very accommodating. All week I had been prepping my son for his first dental appointment. We practiced laying down, saying "ahhh" and opening his mouth, while I touched his teeth gently and told him he was doing a great job! He was so excited about going to the dentist. When we arrived for our appointment, the front desk staff was again very friendly. We were early for the first appointment of the day, so they turned on a movie for my son to watch in the play area while I filled out new intake paperwork. They also complimented him and small talked with us. The assistant that pulled us back to the room for the appointment was very sweet (I think I recall her name being Valerie or Veronica). She was patient when my 2 year old was nervous and began to cry, and she explained things very clearly about what to expect when the doctor came in. She said the doctor would evaluate my son's level of comfort, and if he was comfortable laying all the way down, he would, otherwise I could hold him in my lap and just lean back a little bit. Up until this point I was 100% satisfied. Then - in walks the doctor. He was not the doctor I had originally scheduled the appointment with. I had been referred by friends to Dr. Wittich... but this was Dr. Flores, the associate dentist. [I forgot to mention, upon check in, the girl at the desk told me Dr. Wittich was out so we'd be seeing the associate dentist today]. Dr. Flores walked in and didn't small talk. Didn't ask my son his name. Only asked me if I had any serious dental concerns. He asked about his drinking habits and if he drank any juice. Then he said, lay him down right here in my lap. As I tried to prepare my son by explaining to him that I was going to lay him down and the nice dentist was going to look in his mouth, Dr. Flores seemed to be annoyed that I wasn't moving at a brisk pace. He said, "Just lay him here. Let him cry!" I laid my son down, and Dr. Flores then pinned his arms down and asked me to hold him, while he pryed his mouth open and immediately started digging around in his mouth. My son was SCREAMING. He was terrified. He was being forcefully restrained and forced to hold his mouth open, with some yucky stuff (flouride treatment) all over his teeth. Then, the doctor's demeanor with me was incredibly frustrating. His exact words were, "Everything looks good for now. No cavities. But he will need braces." Totally shocked because no one in my family has ever had braces, I asked, "How can you tell?" and his response was..... "... because I've been doing this for 35 years." This appointment was NOT educational at all. It was an AWFUL experience and I believe my son will be terrified next time I mention going to the dentist. I'm very sad that I feel compelled to leave this review because I've heard some great things about the primary dentist, but in his absence, the replacement caused Children's Dentistry of Kyle to lose a customer... and this will go on even long after I leave this comment, because my son is completely terrified of doctor's offices now. read more

Will never visit this establishment again. Had my 7 yr old son scheduled for an emergency (fixing an adult front tooth that had broke in half due to accident at physical therapy). The morning of the surgery my son had a seizure and we were unable to make the appt so I called to reschedule for another time that day. We were then told the the dr refused to treat my son due to his terminal illness and wouldn't even provide a recommendation elsewhere. Don't let the pictures of the dentists' children throughout the establishment fool you, they do not care about the welfare of ur children. read more

I drove to this Children's Dentistry from Austin, thinking they would provide a more pleasant experience for young children. Instead we had the WORST experience ever! I am glad I was there with my wife to witness firsthand how awful it was (else I might not have believed it). - Trying to hold the hand of our 4yr old during his oral exam, dentist angrily told us to go sit in the waiting area. - Dentist noted dark spots on son's back teeth, but no cleaning was ever done. ( Although they billed for it! ) - I noted they had not done fluoride treatments, and got the "oh yeah, c'mon back here quick". To my shock, they asked for their free, take home toothbrushes to do the application. To summarize: Appointments for three took less than 10 minutes total, dentist was a jerk, no cleanings were done, and fluoride was only done after reminding them. They got paid $444 for this disaster! read more

I Just love this place its such a great place for kids! The Vibe is great and believe me your kids will love going to the dentist. Dr. Jeremy is really great with the kids not one of those scary looking dentist either. Hes really calm and patient, both my kids love it here. The whole staff is really nice! We got a letter saying we could no longer be seen after missing our appointment. We have a lot of children and had a true emergency and couldn't make the appointment. After 7 years of being patients, this was the last thing I would expect. Probably for the best. Not that great of a place anyways. They don't properly clean young children's teeth or really do a good exam of their teeth. We only stayed because of the kid friendly atmosphere. read more

I find them to be very caring, competent, patient, and they have a clean office. My daughter had her first filling today and everything went perfectly. Honestly I was SHOCKED when I saw the previous ratings. My daughter has been going here for the last 3 1/2 years and she loves it. When I tell her that she has a dentist appointment she jumps up and down! The staff are friendly, sweet and courteous and the decor is all geared towards kids. Right now she is in the middle of wearing her RPE (Rapid Palatte Expander) and she loves it because it means she gets to go for check-ups once a month. She said to the dentist just a few days ago "I love it here, I wish I could come here every day!". I still have a phobia of dentist and to see my kid so calm and relaxed with her dentist is priceless. I would (and do) recommended them to anyone with children. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would! After scheduling my 9 month old for his first visit, I checked the reviews (I know I should have done this before, but he needs to get his teeth checked). When I called on Tuesday to cancel his appt because of the reviews I had read (I'm not going to lie to the office staff about why I don't want to bring him in), the receptionist, Beatrice, was extremely rude to me and tried to argue with me and told me I needed to do better research. Ummmm EXCUSE ME??? That's definitely not a way to get patients to want to come in there to get dental work done. If the front office staff is rude and disgusting, then I can't even imagine how the doctor it. After she proceeded to argue with me on how I should do my research, SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!! Absolutely not! That is not okay! You DO NOT treat patients or potential patients that way! I can tell you to not go there, but this is the extent of my interaction with this place. So, with that being said, be prepared for a rude front office staff if you do decide to go there. But if I were you, I would totally stay clear of this terrible place. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would! Run far away....! I'm not sure how this guy sleeps at night knowing what he is doing to these poor children. I was told my daughter (age 4) had two cavities and would need caps. I was hesitant, but agreed because I didn't know any better. The experience was so traumatizing and took at least two hours from start to finish. She was so upset and crying. The dentist told us she would need 3 more caps, but refused to do it unless she was put completely under anesthesia because he said she would be combative if he didn't put her out. For me that was not an option unless it was done in a hospital setting, but they don't offer that. Cost was also a factor. The front desk person recommended I schedule ASAP because they only take a certain amount of patients once a week for anesthesia. At the time they had one appointment spot open that was two months out. Crazy to think there would be a need to put that many kids out weekly. Let's say four kids per week multiplied by 8 weeks. Wow, is that really necessary? Thankfully I sought a second opinion. The other dentist was able to place white tooth colored fillings in the teeth in his office! There was absolutely no need for caps and it was significantly cheaper! My daughter never cried with the other dentist! As a matter of fact it was an amazing experience; she was excited to go back to the dentist after the consultation and also mentioned she wants to be a dentist when she grows up! How is that for being combative!! The new dentist office also told me the medication Children's Dentistry of Kyle uses prior to putting the caps on only lasts ten minutes! Yep, that's right...it wears off BEFORE they even get started! Plus it has a history of making the kids sick to their stomach. My daughter was also throwing up after Dr. Wittich put the caps on. I'm sure it's safe to say caps were never needed in the first place. I would have never had to put my daughter through this process. This is just a money hungry doctor taking advantage of people. Dr. Wittich and all the staff need to re-evaluate their ethics. read more

We took our two kids here as new patients. Before even seeing the dentist the technician said both children have to receive Xrays. They are 4 and 6 years old, have never had any teeth problems and I said I would like to only do an Xray if the dentist saw a need to. The tech condescendingly told me "you get more radiation from the sun than from the Xray." Knowing she is not a radiation expert, I asked if we could have the dentist see my children first. She told me it was not possible, which all adds up to is they are in it for the money and NOT the health and care of the patient. I would stay clear of this place!!! We will never be back. read more

I would give it no stars if I could. We were referred to Dr. Jeremy by our normal dentist due to my son being a wiggle worn & to get a tooth pulled/ root canal. He is a surgeon & specializes in childrens dentistry. So I thought. He received volume & laughing gas he was zombiefied. The dentist didn't give my son a chance to get threw the procedure. He had very minimal movements. Barley lifting his arm "only one" & feet. The best way i can describe the way my sons side effects with meds is a few coctails with no strenght. He said we might need to stop procedure & pulled me to side to share his concerns. At that moment I understood where he was coming from. I went back into the room to talk to my son & we tried again. he came back into the room & started to drill & wasn't saying much or talking my son threw what he was doing for only 15 sec & my son lifted his arm up. The dentist responded with "I have to stop the procedure I can't continue, sorry you wasted your time & you wasted my time" I was already frustrated that he was giving up in a short Matter of time and didn't take any authority in this situation with my son. Arent you a surgeon? Don't you specialize in pediatrics? I can't grasp why this procedure didn't continue. I was so upset. & yes I did question his comments about waisting his time. I don't know how my son is going to react to this treatment & he shouldn't say that I'm waisting his time. He also left his tooth that needs canal drilled down & the corner I poking his cheek. I got a full refund check right then & there. I also called my normal dentist office & spoke to office manager so they would know the type of experience I had & to know the type of treatment they are sending their pts to. they couldn't believe what he had told me. They also were throwing out all of the referral cards when I picked up my sons xrays for the next surgeon. parents save "your time" with taking off wk..pre paying...making your child fast... waking up extra early....getting all worked up for nothing. .. spare your child the medication & needles they put in their mouths..& don't take them here!!!! Do research cause I didn't now after the fact I am getting all negative feedback. read more

I have 3 children that see Dr Jeremy and I trust him and his staff. We make our kids take care of their teeth, and have avoided cavities thus far. but we have experienced a scary accident where my 2 year old chipped a tooth, exposing a nerve. Dr Jeremy was very reassuring, and took great care of my baby girl. She was sedated and had a tooth pulled. She loves to visit Dr Jeremy about as much as she enjoyed an early visit from the tooth fairy! read more

I have been taking my son here since he was one and the staff and dentist (Dr. Wittich) have always been wonderful. They have always been extremely patient and calm and have actually made dental check-ups something my son looks forward to. I wish I could say the same thing myself. As it turns out, during my son's last checkup, he had a number of cavities that needed treatment. Dr. Wittich and his staff sat down with us and explained our options. Due to my son's young age (he is only 4), we could do sedation in the office or outpatient surgery, if he could not handle the sedation. We opted to try the sedation first. Dr, Wittich and the staff carefully explained what was going to happen and what to expect. At first, it appeared as if my son was not going to tolerate the sedation and we were going to have to go the outpatient surgery route. I asked the Dr. if I could talk to him to see what I could do. Everyone was very calm and did not rush us. They let me talk to my son and calm him down. Tiffany, the dental assistant was absolutely wonderful and helped to curb his anxieties. He ended up tolerating the procedure and everything went very well. It was a stressful situation as a parent, but Dr, Wittich and his staff did everything to make the process as good as possible. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough! read more

They always get us in very quickly. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They don't do a good job getting the kids teeth clean. I usually ask for them to clean more. They never push the child to do anything they feel even the slightest bit nervous about. If you child shows even one sign of being nervous or excited they will not clean their teeth but will still bill your insurance. It's great place but I would love it if they cleaned their teeth better. read more

Unbelievably BAD. Took my child here for an emergency. There was no one there, (and I now know why) but we still waited 20 minutes. The dentist strikes me as the kind of person who doesn't want to actually do any work, and he didn't help us, AT ALL!!! We had to seek care somewhere else, and he did not refer a place, extremely unprofessional. They quoted me one price but charged me another, I paid cash and they asked me if I wanted change? I was very excited when I saw that Kyle now had a Pediatric Dentist. We drove to south Austin before. When our insurance changed we went here. My kids have been patients of Dr. Wittich's for several years now. The staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Wittich is calm and caring and set my kids at ease immediately. He is attentive and actually discovered a fairly serious situation w/a a molar in my 7 yr. old that the XRAY didn't quite pick up. But because he was thorough, he did discover a problem and took immediate action. Every time I have had a question, issue or problem they have always been nice, attentive and flexible. The waiting room is kid friendly and the rooms have beautiful Safari murals and movies when work is needed. Thanks Dr. Wittich for providing great care in my kid's dental health. When I first met Dr. Wittich his personality seemed a little dry but he is a good dentist. He is so sweet to my daughter and makes her laugh. She loves going to him and explains to me what needs to be done before any action is taken. When he suggested a procedure that wasn't mandatory but was precautionary I told him that I felt it didn't need to be done and he was ok with that. He didn't push the subject and I appreciate him for it. He is sweet but may not have a dazzling personality...perhaps that is what some of the reviewers felt they needed. He's NEVER been unkind to my daughter. His staff is always pleasant to us. By the way, x-rays are needed no matter where you go. A dentist needs to see if there are any cavities beginning before it is too late. Oh, and he has this incredible program for the schools. Each year the tooth fairy comes to my daughter's school and hands out free toothbrushes, tooth paste and dental floss and gives a lesson about proper brushing 2x a day. Adorable! read more
