My little squish was (over)due, at 13 months of age, for her very first dental exam ever. I was super nervous that she'd be traumatised by her first dentist appointment like I was, but I thankfully did not witness a traumatic experience. The administrative team up front was super kind and gentle, fawning over my baby (I mean she IS really cute), and very helpful. They brought her back into the exam room before she barely had any time to play in their cute little play area; I hope every subsequent visit goes that quickly. Dr. Ramirez is great. She talked to my daughter and went slow and gently. My little one barely cried at all, which was surprising as she had a complete stranger's latex-gloved fingers crammed in her mouth. I've been taking my daughter here since she was a toddler. We've moved an hour away but I will continue to bring her here because Dr. Christina and all the staff are so wonderful. They make her feel so comfortable and never hesitate to address any concerns I might have. The front desk staff are always so happy and friendly. They were also very gracious when I let them know we'd be late to her appointment. They checked for an open spot and (luckily) she was seen that same day. The assistants are gentle during X-rays and teeth cleanings and explain what/why they're doing things as they go which I really appreciate. I know it puts my daughters mind at ease. We've never had any issues here and we will continue to get quality care from Tiny Texans as long as we can! read more

They require a 48 hour cancellation notice otherwise your charged 25.00 fee per child. For my family that's 50.00. Seems crazy this isn't communicated in any of the appointment reminders. We've been going here for years and have always recommended them but we will reconsider now. Frustrating because this is a children dentistry so there should be a little more understanding that kids get sick often. I guess we should have kept the appointment and taken our kids in sick. read more

This morning was my daughter's first visit to Tiny Texans and I could not have been more impressed. To begin, the office was very neat and clean, and the decor was so fun and heartwarming. They sure go above and beyond to make kids feel comfortable here. Above the dentist chair the movie Frozen was playing, so my daughter immediately felt at home. The dentist came in right away and was great with my daughter. The dental assistant then took her back for her x-rays and made her laugh the whole time. They are so good with children and really seem to enjoy what they do. At the end of the visit, my daughter got a new toothbrush, a sticker, and a token for a toy, which of course made her very excited. Overall, I would definitely recommend this dentist. The first impression was amazing, and I can't wait for many visits in the future. read more

I honestly thought this dental office was going to be my kids' forever dental office but unfortunately things turned for the worst recently. My child went in for a routine checkup and the doctor stated his back teeth showed wear such as what someone would have with acid reflux. Concerned I immediately booked an appointment to have the problem teeth fixed. Unfortunately the fix involved a drill. The day before the procedure I called to ask some questions. I wanted to know if it was possible to have the problem teeth fixed in the way my other child's slight cavity had been fixed without the drill since the teeth in question were baby teeth and would be falling out eventually. I wanted to save my child unnecessary pain if possible. The nurse who called me at first stated they would be willing to do whatever I wished as it was what I thought would be best. She then said she would talk to the dentist and ask what was necessary. She came back and said the dentist stated there was no other way to fix the problem without the drill. The nurse then said we could get a second opinion. I latched onto that idea and said I would be getting a second opinion just to make sure that the invasive procedure was necessary. The nurse then stated that if I decided to get a second opinion and go with the opinion of the other dentist that Dr. Christina would no longer be able to be our pediatric dentist. At that point I decided that if this office was so affronted at the idea of patients getting a second opinion then perhaps they were not the right office for us after all. I called and made an appointment with another pediatric dentist within 30 minutes and bid farewell to Tiny Texans Pediatrics with a single call. A few days later I received a letter from Tiny Texan Pediatrics stating that Dr. Christina had ended our patient/ doctor relationship. I guess she didn't understand when I didn't give her a call back for a further procedure that I had already made the decision to end that relationship the day of the conversation with her technician. If you value the ability to get a second opinion without your pediatric dentist throwing a fit, I don't recommend this office. Gave 2 stars because the office was small, quaint and clean. read more

My 20 month old son had his first visit here today. Dr. Christina was fabulous with him. Let's face it, no toddler likes having any kind of exam, but he tolerated this one since Dr. Christina made him feel comfortable. She showed him each instrument so he wasn't scared, and she sang to him when he got fussy. Dr. Christina was thorough, friendly and efficient. We had zero wait time at checkin or check out. The front office staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Their entire office is super fun with lots of toys to keep the kiddos entertained in the front and the exam rooms. My little dude had so much fun playing with the toys while I filled out his paperwork. It was really nice to go to a dentist meant for kids. My son liked the office so much that he cried when we left! read more

There are not enough words to express how wonderful our experience was with Dr. Ramirez and the rest of the staff and Tiny Texans Pediatric Dentistry. I was able to book both my 4 and 1 year old together for back to back appointments which always makes life easier. The waiting area was so open, welcoming, colorful, clean and filled with toys and games for all ages. The receptionist was quick to assist and interact/play with my children while I completed forms (because I forgot to print and finish ahead of time). The nurse and Dr. Ramirez were absolutely wonderful and patient. They eased my 4 year old's mind better than I did in the week preceding and they talked to her through everything and didn't pressure her into anything that would make her uncomfortable. Once we left, she said that she couldn't wait to go back to the dentist again. What child says that?! Side note: the TV on the ceiling during the exam was a HUGE hit, as was the movie choice. My daughter was wearing a Trolls shirt and I'm sure the staff noticed and cued up that movie for her. Overall, they went above and beyond my expectations and I would recommend Dr. Ramirez and staff to anyone with small, especially nervous, children. We will definitely be continuing our care here because they have set the bar so high, I don't see how we could be happier anywhere else. read more

Went my first time here for my son and the service is AMAZING. The receptionist is very sweet and the dentist and her assistant were great with my son. There's even a little area with toys and video games for the kids to play with during the wait time, which wasn't that long! The only thing is it takes a while to book an appointment. Amazing staff and facility! Tiny Texans know kids - as soon as we got there we were greeted by Amy. She was helpful on the phone and in person. A staff member came and played with my two boys and helped them get comfortable in the waiting room. Their waiting room had a variety of items (small toys, stacking toys, riding horse, iPad, TV). When my kids were receiving their checkup from Dr. Christina they were comfortable and excited. She sang to them and kept them informed of everything she was doing. We had an amazing visit! My 4 month old just had a lip and tongue tie revision. From the consultation to dealing with insurance to the actual procedure, the entire staff was great. The receptionist is amazing to speak with on the phone. I got a call from them on a Saturday, which was a happy surprise. They got us in quickly. The office is very clean. Everyone was accommodating and great at explaining things. I got to look at the equipment before the procedure. I really enjoyed going here and it is worth the 1.5 hour drive. Our follow-up is in a few days and I'm sure it'll be just as good of a visit. read more

We have been taking our kids here since they opened. They love it and I'll even say they look forward to it. My wife has been the one to take them for the routine visits, but it wasn't until 2 Fridays ago when I had my first experience with Tiny Texans. My daughter had managed to knock one of her front teeth loose while playing with her sister. There was blood, and tears, and thankfully Tiny Texans was open for another 15 minutes! I rushed over and Dr. Ramirez and her staff were more than happy to see my daughter. Thankfully nothing serious, just a little push on the tooth and an X-ray, but the experience was just great, I'm so glad they are our children's dentist. read more

We switched to this office from ours in Cedar Park since we relocated to the Kyle area. When asking around for a great pediatric dentist Tiny Texans was recommended. I love this office and am so happy to have had it suggested to us! I tell everyone who asks for recommendations about this place. My kids were well taken care of here and they both behaved for the dentist which is especially hard for 2yr old son, but he did amazing and was still the entire time she worked on his teeth. :) read more

Our 2 and a half year old son just had his first dentist visit here with Dr. Ramirez and loved it! The office is in a new build that just opened a few blocks away from us, so I called in on a whim and very glad I did. The staff was friendly and professional, and the facilities were so clean and well kept. Making an appointment was quick and easy. The waiting room is adorable with plenty of items to keep children occupied until they are called back. The televisions are suspended from the ceiling to make it easy for the kiddos to watch while the Dr checks their teeth. Dr. Ramirez was great with our son who was instantly comfortable and was not at all intimidated by the situation. She was very informative and the appointment itself was not overly prolonged (we are dealing with a 2 year old after all). Tiny Texans is AMAZING!!! All of the staff, the facility, rooms, care are stellar. We just moved from Central Austin and found them on Yelp and wish we found the sooner. We would have gladly made the drive from Central because there is no comparison between them and our last dentist. Came here for the first time for my daughter's toothache. I called on Thursday and they got me in on Sat. Receptionist was very friendly and even gave me some burger restaurants to try (after we got talking about food.) Took my son today for his first dentist visit and it was a great experience. He tolerated it very well and the Dr made it as quick and pleasant as possible. She also is the only medical professional to discover that my son has a lip tie which lead to breastfeeding issues. Which makes me mad that all the previous Drs ignored my concerns and never noticed or thought to check for a lip tie. My children were due for a check up so as any parent would, I looked on yelp for the office with best reviews. My son doesn't like the dentist very much and always has a hard time staying still. My daughter has always loved the dentist so I wasn't worried about her as much. Today I took both of my kids in for a cleaning and had the best experience!! Everyone is so nice and welcoming, the office is very cute and clean, with plenty of play stations for the kiddos. Dr. Ramirez was very thorough at explaining everything she was doing during the exam. My son did not cry or fuss the entire time!
