Came for an elective surgery for my nephew. He had some slight complications with his procedure but nothing the staff wasnt able to handle. Staff was kind, we just wish we had a way to get more/better updates of his status during the procedure. His procedure was 3x as long as it should have been but they got the job done! My sister and I went to visit my nephew in ICU 3rd floor on 6/24/2026 The nurse in the front desk was very rude. I could not point out what her issue was. It was around 5pm or so. We had asked a few questions being my first time there in 25 years it seemed every question we asked she was bothered. She had us waiting in the lobby until she decided she was going to peak in the room and let dad know we were there. I didn't call her out on her rudeness out of respect for my sister, especially with the news that she just received. I wish her and every medical staff to have better days so that other patients or visitors won't have the same experience. read more

I delivered my son here via scheduled C-section a few months ago. It was a great experience, much better than my first delivery at Texas Woman's. First of all, their rooms were very comfortable. I will note that we were in one of the suites -- we didn't request it so I don't know why they put us there (maybe the fact that I had surgery done but just a guess). The room was pleasant, large, and had a nice layout. Felt like a hotel room. It was also very generously stocked with amenities/freebies -- the usual stuff and then some. In case you're not aware, hospitals have to throw out the care items they provide after each patient so take everything you can use home with you. The nurses were amazing. Seriously, it makes me want to cry thinking about how kind and gentle they were. They took such great care of both myself and my newborn. Let me try to remember everyone's names -- there was Autumn, Julie, and Erica, I think. They were the best -- so kind. Also, very knowledgeable about newborn care and even breastfeeding. I didn't have the same experience at Texas Woman's -- the nurses were much more cold and aloof. Speaking of breastfeeding, one of my biggest complaints about Texas Woman's Hospital is that the lactation consultant never showed up! Also, they told me they'd be coming on the second day of my stay or so. That's too late! Anyway, I was too inexperienced and naive to realize how difficult breastfeeding might prove to be and never followed up. At Memorial Hermann, the lactation consultant approached me right after I was wheeled out of the OR. That's the exact time they should appear -- as you're about to latch your baby. I was told that I was free to request more help/information if any issues/questions arose. She was also very kind and friendly. I'm very pleased with all the assistance I received regarding breastfeeding here (from lactation consultant and nurses) and very happy to report that I've been successful in breastfeeding my son (I unfortunately couldn't make it work with my daughter two years ago). Another thing I loved was the transportation situation upon leaving. At Texas Woman's, my fiancé had to go downstairs to get the car and park it out front. He had to load our stuff and then he had to go upstairs and wheel me downstairs in a wheelchair holding our baby. At Memorial Hermann, they have a designated person that comes to get you on these large wheeled carts/seats. There is ample space behind the seats to place all your luggage. They wheel you out to the car. So much easier! The food was pretty good with a lot of options. I'd say it was similar in quality to Texas Woman's. I really liked the hospital layout and the beautiful atrium. I also appreciated how much they checked in. We had someone drop by to collect feedback about our stay (and give us a cupcake). Someone also called me a few days after we left to check in. They seemed to really care about their service and aim to improve. I truly enjoyed my birth experience here, much more so than my first at Texas Woman's. read more

If zero stars was an option I would select that. I delivered my baby last year in December, he was 5 weeks early and spent 14 days in the nicu. The billing department at this hospital is beyond incompetent and almost a YEAR later I am still trying to resolve several issues. I was sent a bill for $7,000 I called to discuss this with them as I was confused how this bill came to be given I know my insurance policy very well. They were able to provide zero info aside from I just need to pay it. So I called my insurance who appropriately looked into this and discovered 2 key issues. The primary issue being the hospital submitted paperwork for 12 days of nicu stay and did not submit the proper paperwork for the additional 2 days of nicu time. So instead of recognizing their own clerical mistake and going back to insurance with the proper info, they decided nah just bill it to the patient. After explaining multiple times this is their own clerical error and they should be seeking resolution with insurance, they continue to badger me by phone, email, text, and mail to collect the money they basically fraudulently billed me! My insurance is working to resolve this for me because I have a great policy. They have asked memorial Hermann to submit the medical records so they can retroactively add the additional 2 days of nicu time to the claim. It's been several months, multiple attempts have been made. Each time memorial Hermann claims they never received the ask to submit records or it needs to be submitted elsewhere. Neither I nor my insurance should even be managing this!! Memorial Hermann should be responsible for this given they are the ones hoping to be paid for this! But nope, the ownership is on me to show them how they need to properly submit claim paperwork. Their own messy paperwork and a billing department that apparently has no clue how insurance or claims work created an almost year long battle for me. This was only 1 issue, there was a couple others that had to be resolved as well. If any company did a deep dive into their accounting and billing I would bet a lot of interesting things would be found. Hopefully everyone there receives additional training on how insurance works and how to not send bills to patients for amounts that they can't even explain themselves. read more

There are a few reasons I gave this hospital a five star review. The first reason, because the employees here are awesome and welcoming. In addition, the cleanliness in the building, or my room I might add had a lot to do with my own personal space. Therefore, I believe it is vital to pin point the aspects in which I personally experienced. Last but not least, most importantly there are some compassionate, hardworking teammates here. I would like to thank especially some employees in labor and delivering from being emphatic and knowledgeable. I would like to list a few names Jessica, who was in triage, who was skilled in prioritizing her work andto meet with the patient's needs she was kind and informative. Also, she made me feel comfortable. Emily had great instructions as well. As I approached the fifth floor I met Jackeline, she was very helpful as well in labor and delivering during the next few shift changes. I had the best opportunity to work with Nicole, which went above and beyond. I was completely impressed by her professionalism and commitment to her hard work, especially in difficult times overall she did a fantastic job In addition, I want to thank Mrs Flores, while taking the trouble to put me to ease. While going on the 6th floor there are two great people who I met Sharon and Miss Sheeba. Sharon, was very nice and insightful about the babies health and care, and kept me informed about every aspect of the pregnancy aftermath and the baby's health. While Mrs. Sheeba was very attentive to my every need and accommodated me with patience and compassion. It was an ongoing care for me from these nurses. This was my first time here and I had a great experience if I had to come back to this hospital again I would definitely come back with no hesitation.. Thank you All for your hard work and dedication. These nurses have been wonderful to work with. They promptly filled my needs for various tasks and they were so helpful. They were professional, efficient, supportive, and friendly without their help I would have been a bit overwhelmed thank you to all who I had a pleasure meeting with! Ms Borker! read more

I was seen here in August. At every opportunity, they chose to jeopardize all aspects of my well being. The worst part is they still seemed to think they did their job successfully whereas I am now disabled and unable to recover after months. I can't even carry my groceries, walk, sit on a chair, or do anything a normal person can without excruciating pain. They ignored my needs and my well being and even my begging for their mercy, and now I am forced to live with the consequences of their cruelty for the rest of my life. read more

I cannot believe this hospital has been kept open by the way they operate their day to day routines. There is zero communication amongst the staff. My sister was on the 5th floor, for about 6 weeks. Her pregnancy was difficult and needed to be monitored. Several nurses and different doctors would randomly come in starting around 530am. (this would go on throughout the day) Being asked the same questions. Her sleep was interrupted her entire stay. If a nurse saw her sleeping, almost purposefully she would be woken up. And, the times she was awake, she would be left completely unattended, or even unable to reach a nurse. The majority of the staff, including custodial workers were rude, and loud. My sister would greet them politely and they made it a point to look at her as an acknowledgement, then turn away or completely ignore her. As you can imagine, it was an awful feeling to her. Mind you, she is alone in a hospital, with difficulties in her 8/9 months of pregnancy, and the staff treats you as if you're less than important to acknowledge. Secondly, the food. She said the food was flavorful and prepared well most the time. The exception being that she never received a warm/hot meal. Meals were always cold, and actually forgotten several times a week. If she were napping, because of all the interruptions, she would wake up to no lunch or dinner. Portions were extremely small considering she was eating for two. Then to forget a pregnant mother's meal all together? I could not understand why they would be treating soon to be mothers this way. I had to order groceries for her from California, just to make sure she had something to eat in case she didn't get a meal that day. I tried calling the front desk and nurses station several times, when my sister wasn't able to get a hold of nurse and needed assistance. Nobody ever answered the phones. Extremely uncoordinated and unprofessional from the experience and treatment my sister received. Not everyone is meant to be a nurse or working in the medical field. Patient care was terrible and disheartening. read more

She gave me a pink sticky note on the way out from our appointment with cmhpwu at the top. One star is still too much for the experience and the neglect along with being dismissed feeling they greeted us with. My daughter has a history of preterm labor and not once, not twice, but now 3 times. unfortunately, the first was a miscarriage and her 2nd one only made to 17 weeks resulting in her losing her baby girl. With that being said she is considered high risk; you would think the hospital including her very own OBGYN would see that the symptoms she recently experienced where not normal given her history and pain she was in. Her symptoms were dismissed and ignored. Her first OB ER visit, she was told that she was dehydrated and her contractions where "Braxton Hicks" and that the lack of water intake was the cause of it. She was never tested to see if she was even dehydrated and her appearance did not look like someone that was dehydrated, they said "it could be that" told her to go home and drink more water and tried to give her pain meds. they are very next day she saw her OB and instead of hearing her out he was very upset and said the Dr. knew what he was doing, and she was not in labor. After I questioned him, he walked out of the room and said fine go back to the hospital, but they can't do anything for you. Regardless we left and AGAIN they said she was not contracting, and the NP said I felt one but don't think you are in labor. As I was walking out, I heard her tell someone that "SHE IS ACTING LIKE THEY ARE CONTRACTION AND DOESNT KNOW THE DIFFRENCE." after hearing/ give the results out loud to someone else, she comes in say the total opposite and said she was free to go. I told her I heard her and that was not ok. she got nervous and proceeded to say, "no we will do everything we can". I asked what exactly she has to be doing in order for her to be put on 24hr observation. she said it is not necessary. my daughter had a cerclage placed and asked if it can be removed before the 36-week mark in case she is in labor, and they said it can be, but they won't do it because there isn't anything wrong with her. Against my better judgment I had to leave and left her and the father there. I knew it wasn't a good idea, after I left the NP came back with an MD and he told her that the NP was right, and nothing was wrong with her. I told her just leave we will go somewhere else, and I AM SO GLAD THAT WE DID. This whole time she was in labor and gave birth at 33 weeks. The other hospital listened and took her serious, she was 5cm dilated and 1 hour after removing the cerclage she gave birth to a 3lb baby who is now in the NICU. Thing could have been way worse for my daughter and granddaughter due to their neglect and ignorance. some people need more training and schooling, and it includes manors and listening skills. If you can please don't be afraid to speak up, if something doesn't feel right leave and go somewhere else. they are doctors not GOD and they make mistakes also but when they do it intentionally because they are too prideful and think they know it all, well that speaks more volume. read more

My son was hospitalized Saturday sept 19 and placed in ICU for control with a blood sugar over 300. He spend two days in the ICU and he was then changed to another room, with same treatment and evaluation and condition that he was in the ICU. In the new room my son was able to eat after two days, but blood sugar levels were still high and the doctors kept increasing the insulin medication every time. Meal plan: The doctors told that he needed to eat 75g of carbs in each meal. So we ordered food in the room service but most of the options to get to 75g included Mac and cheese, fried food, flour based food, sugars. After every meal the blood sugar rose even more up to 500 and the doctors added more insulin treatment instead of lowering carbs. We were about to be discharged with the same plan of 75 g of carb intake per meal and high dosis of insulin medication and blood sugar level higher that when he got hospitalized. My wife, during the stay, read forums for diabetes and did a research on the nutrition and found out that the goal is to control diabetes with food and not with medication. Endocrinologist Rivera was not visiting the room to check on Nelson because they were "Busy". The order was to increase the insulin medication dose every time My wife, desperate, confronted an endocrinologist that went to the room and asked to lower carbohydrates for each meal. Doctor was stating that it was normal to have a blood sugar high during first days but my wife refused to accept it and doses had to be increased. So they agreed on lowering carbs intake and blood sugar dropped closer to 200. How can a doctor could not figure out that lowering carb intake could be better than raising excessively the insulin dose? My wife that was not a doctor recommended that and they said that that could be done. Lab testing: My son had ketones in his urine and that was the only value that needed to be at zero before releasing him from the hospital. So the last two days he was drinking a lot of water and nurses had to take sample every time my son went to the restroom. Well, the nurses were leaving up to 4 accumulated samples in the room without sending them to the lab to check for ketones, knowing that that was the value that needed to check frequently. Nurse lost track of the time each sample was taken. My wife argued with doctors and nurses again about this. Cafeteria: My son had a diabetic food regime. Staff were rude every time we order. Their computer had different carbohydrate information that the menu they use, so we were ordering food using their menu but their computer had different carbs numbers. And when we received the tray there were items that we didn't ask or items not allowed in my sons diet. The hospital stated that they were a new company (excuses). If a patient has food restriction and they sent what they want it could be life threatening situation. Nutritionist: The only role of the nutritionist was to show us how to count carbs and look for carbs in fast food restaurants. She didn't go over a recommended menu to follow. Just spend time searching Chick Fil A items for carbs amount. Diabetes can be controlled with food and not with excessive medication. We asked for a second visit to ask for menus and she went and gave the exact information that she gave before. Conclusion My son was hospitalized with blood sugar of 300 and was discharged with a blood sugar of 350. Doctors have not called to check on his progress at home. The only positive thing about this experience was the diabetic educator Cindy. And she also agreed on lowering carbs. Took the time to teach us what we needed to know. Also some nurses were caring. I gave 1 star in order to do a review but I would give a zero if I could. Horrible experience! read more

This past week has been such hard days for my 13 month old and family. Last week she was sent from an urgent care and taken to Texas Childrens er in the medical center. When we got there it was a complete nightmare. Due to the illness of my baby and how sick she was they put us in a trauma room to get tests running to see what was going on, and throughout all of this process, her father wasn't even allowed to be in the room with us "due to the pandemic". The nursing staff we had were absolutely CARELESS AND HORRIBLE. Never will we ever go back to that er/hospital. Not quite A week has gone by after her procedure was done and she needed to be rushed to the er again, so we rushed her to Children's Memorial Hermann. When we got there, we were triaged fairly quickly and the nurses who saw her were AMAZING!!! They were nice and kind and respectful and definitely explained what they were doing and what was going to be done and needed. There was one particular nurse there who stood out above and beyond to my husband and i. COLLIN. He is an AWESOME NURSE & really communicates clearly about everything going on with our child and he even cared for our child like i'm sure he would his own. The drs who saw her, one was a dr, and the other was a resident were absolutely kind and knowledgeable. They knew exactly what was wrong with my baby and took great pleasure in going above and beyond helping her to feel better. All of this as they had received trauma patients at the same time! They really know what they're doing and their TEAMWORK IS AMAZING! Thank you so much Childrens Memorial Hermann, for all that you all do! Keep up the great professionalism, and wonderful work ethic to continue having great patient flow. We will definitely return in the case we would ever need too. read more

Beware I had my son at this hospital 3 months ago & the billing department keeps calling me. They process the billing incorrectly. I had to write a letter of appeals to Aetna Insurance to get it fixed but this hospital still can't get it right. :( I'm very disappointed, I'm starting to think it's done on purpose. Every time I call they act like they don't know what I'm talking about they just want another deductible. Either they need more training or they think they can rip people off. The worst hospital in the entire universe! I had the MOST terrible and traumatizing experience giving birth to my child! On a totally different note, we went to Florida last week and we noticed our baby's tongue had turned blue but it went away. I scheduled an appointment with her pediatrician for first thing in Monday and Wednesday is her cardiology appointment! I tried to push it for Monday without success. We went to the pedestrian and she suggested we could go to the ER because they could check everything for her and because she had no clue (tongue was no longer blue). We went to the ER, they checked vital signs, oxygen was 100% and everything was perfect! EXCEPT the cardiologist wouldn't show up FOR 3 HRS because she has more emergent cases and ours isn't enough ergent so we left and decided to go her appointment Wednesday morning! Tuesday afternoon we have Family and Protective services show up at the door! Some "doctor" called on us! You know... because they didn't do their job! The services came and saw everything is fine with the baby, took pictures and everything and suggested us we switch hospitals ASAP! read more

I have had the unfortunate experience of visiting this hospital much more frequently than anyone ever should :/ The doctors and facilities at Childrens Memorial Hermann are outstanding. The surgeons here saved my little boys life when he was 4 days old and for that I am forever grateful. The NICU & PICU are home to the Ronald McDonald House which is a wonderful asset to this hospital. Spending countless hours (weeks actually) in a hospital was made just a little bit more bearable by the smiling faces, warm cookies, fresh lemonade & a variety of other snacks provided to families (at no charge) who end up here. The PICU also has a super neat playroom for the kids to hang out in versus being cramped in their room day in and out. The ER on the other hand is not at all my favorite place to be...this hospital is located directly across the street from the Hermann Park. So if you end up at the ER on a cold winter night (as I did in February) be expecting to share the waiting room lobby with the homeless population of Houston that normally sleeps on the benches across the street. The the very unpleasant odor was one of the worst aspects of the entire situation. I feel bad saying this but can't the hospital make them leave? It was very uncomfortable to be around (especially with an incredibly sick toddler and infant daughter). The only saving grace was the childrens ER waiting room is separated from the adult area and all the homeless families were in the adult waiting area of the ER. The cafeteria here is meh but there is a little deli on the second floor by the day surgery area that is a little bit more tasty (and less greasy). They should really lobby for a Chik-Fil-A... Sadly, because of my boys condition I have a very strong feeling I'll be back here again but I am beyond grateful at the level of healthcare and professionals I have access to at this hospital right here in Houston. read more

Yay! We are fans! we've had very good experiences here at CMHH. Every time we come with our boys, we are treated fair and customer service is usually good. The only reason they cannot get all five stars is because you have to pay for parking ALL the time. Even if you need to pick up a form, its a must to pay and the smallest that you will pay is $7.00. So with perks of the medical center comes cons and that has to be PAYING for PARKING!! AHHHHHHH!!! read more

Our child was admitted for 4 days and she was very happy the whole time. She was greeted by therapy dogs and was given a stuffed animal, which cheered her up tremendously. The doctors constantly checked on her and the nurses were very caring and thoughtful. read more

Greatest childrens hopsital we have been. I took in my son 3 times in the Texas childrens hospital ER, each time we had sent home with more medication but without knowing what was wrong witj my baby. Today We have been for 4 hours in childrens memorial and they have done all the necesary tests to kbow what is happening. Now we kbow my baby has a UTI and he is having the correct medication for it. Doctors really listen to you an nurses rocks! All of them are aweosome! I havr found my favorite ER provider in Houston. read more

Staying in the antepartum unit. So far my experience has been great . All the nurses have been so sweet, and attentive . They assure you that they are truly there for whatever you need . It is a teaching hospital. So be prepared to have several people go in with Doctor with daily rounds . Everyone has assured me that I am in a safe place , especially for my babies who will be delivered preterm . The cleaning lady Maria is also a sweet lady. I would like to recognize Alyssa who works on the 10th floor as well. She went above and beyond to even make my kids more comfortable when they come to stay the night , or visit . I can truly say with all the people I have encountered this hospital truly does care . And for that I am so grateful. read more

My son was born at at CMMH on 12/17/2015. Memorial Hermann is already my choice for healthcare as the few experiences I've had at various Houston area hospitals for me or other family members, the level of care has just always been a step above. My wife's OB, Dr. Michael Piegari also delivered there making it a natural choice for as well. So, I had very good reason to be very optimistic with what to expect at CMMH. She had a scheduled delivery set for 12/18/2015 but due to complications on 12/16/2015 her Dr. wanted her admitted. After we found parking in the garage (unless you are doing valet garage 4 is where you want to go park when going to CMMH) we made our way up to the 5th floor where my wife got registered. After registration we waited about 45minutes before being brought to a room. A wonderful and polite nurse came in and introduced herself, they got my wife's iv in and checked her vitals, took blood etc. Shortly thereafter her doctor came in and did an ultra sound. He went over some things with us and decided to wait until the following morning to induce her. The nurse came in and checked vitals etc. throughout the night as she was scheduled to due, she brought me a couple of blankets and a pillow, which was nice. I didn't even have to ask! I slept that night in a semi comfortable reclining chair that night. The next morning another nice nurse relieved the previous one. My wife's Doctor came in and advised us of the plan for delivery, there was a few scary moments throughout the day but my wife's Doctor helped keep us and more importantly my wife reassured that he is on top of her and babies care. At 7:49 that night, after a smooth natural delivery our baby arrived. The great thing about Memorial Hermann is that after the initial quick check, they do skin to skin for a full hour before cleaning baby up. We really liked that as we feel it's important for mom and baby to be together asap. We had previously booked a Signature Suite room (modest up charge after insurance) to stay in after her original delivery date but did not know if one was available since we were there earlier. We were able to be moved to one by about midnight. This was a huge change in room accommodations. It was a lot more relaxing for my wife and myself! Baby did very well in the room as well. Flat screen tv, full couch that opens to a bed, personal little tv by bed for wife, nice bathroom, mini fridge stocked with water, daily personal chef service with B/L/D for two included, tea time, continental breakfast, about a 1-1 nurse to patient ratio and other things I'm sure to be forgetting. We were very happy with this room and being that my wife had to stay for two days, she was a lot more comfortable then she would have been in a standard room. If you can swing it, it definitely makes for a lot more comfortable environment to stay in and bond while at the hospital for baby, mom and anyone else. Our insurance payed for the normal room and the patient picks up the difference. So, the room is a lot more affordable (imo anyways) then people would think. We had an outstanding nurse by the name of Tawni. She was exceptional in the level of care she provided for my wife for the two days she was in the Signature Suite. She brought me with her when my son got circumcised so I could at least be in the area when he came out. When it was time for us to go, I did not know how to get back to the parking garage from the room. She was gracious enough to walk me down and show me how to get there so I could get our van (by the way, if you are in a Signature Suite you can valet for free each day you are in, I just never moved the van from the PG) She was excellent and I am glad she took care of my wife, I have to say that I am beyond happy with the way everything turned out, the care my wife and son received and the way we were all treated. read more

I cannot believe the nursing staff at this hospital!! Rude and not very helpful. They blame others and don't take responsibility for their actions. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone!!! Avoid it like the plague. Patient had to attend to herself, clean up mess she made AFTER giving birth!! Utterly unacceptable. Worst care we've ever received, and we've been to memorial Herman northwest!! Housecleaning overheard me complaining and even told us you shouldn't have come here, the nursing staff had a horrible attitude! I was in disbelief that a fellow employee would speak poorly of their fellow coworkers. This hospital came recommended through our ONGYN and he is in disbelief at the poor treatment we have been receiving. read more

It's that moment on the playground. Your kid goes down and comes up wailing. You see his chin and you just know he's getting his first set of stitches. Ugh. I already had done my research and knew this was the location to go to for any major trauma since they are (I believe) a Level 1 trauma center (or whatever the terminology is) and I had been told that Texas Childrens' tends to get backed up with on-going health issue kids. While I knew we weren't dealing with Trauma 1 level business, this one won because my friend works here and I thought I might need a friend. My kid was freaked out because he knew what was coming - stitches. We got in (see below for long, dramatic entry) and he wouldn't show anyone his chin. We sit in the special Children's ER waiting area (closed off away from the adults, which is awesome - no offense homeless dude) and Phinneas and Ferb are on. It can't be all bad if they are playing P&F, and then they hand over some Lego stickers. Now we're chilling out. First nurse comes and I think every one of the docs and nurses were born of sunshine and lollipops. They were so nice and it wasn't long before my kid was looking at all of them and chatting away, pointing out his injuries (he kind of hit everything on the way down) and just enjoying people who would hang on his every word and smile the whole time. At some point he's just lounging on a bed laughing and playing Farkel on the phone with Mom and Dad while we wait for the inevitable. Tons of people came by and complimented him on his injury and bravery and made him think he was a superhero and someone came over with the tools and showed him what they'd be using. All the attention and chatting and somewhere in there they fixed his face with four stitches, as he continued to chat along and laugh. This special sort of attention is why it's worth coming here, dealing with kids and pain is an art and these people are the masters. Lots of explaining to Mom and Dad about how to prevent scarring and take care of the healing wound. Just great care all around. The star missing is because while this is 4.5 in my head, the drive and parking aren't fun. It's just what stinks about the Medical Center and always will. Whereas the ER at Memorial City Memorial Hermann is mere steps from the parking (and reimbursed), there was no ER parking available and we got SO lost coming out of the parking garage. I'm a mom trying to get her bleeding kid to the right place and frantically making it worse. Upon ending up on the wrong side of the building, I found an entrance (with valet, which I will pay for next time, esp since it cost $5 more than the garage and dumps you almost where you need to be) and was able to find someone who showed me where to go. But really, this is probably one of the easiest hospitals to get in and out of in the Med Center and next time, knowing what I know, it would be a five. Plus it's next to the zoo and I'm told upstairs you can see the giraffes from the rooms. I could only see the train from the Children's ER waiting room, but still nice. read more

This hospital provided (for the most part) outstanding care to my very sick little nephew, They have a beautiful playrooms and places for family's to be able to sit down and talk. They even provide complmentary snacks and coffee for family members as they well know, we're there for very long hours. While I find it disgusting that they charge ridiculous fees to park here when visiting a sick child ... it is quickly forgotten because the care was wonderful. While recuperating, my nephew got to play in the playrooms, playground, get little concerts. Small things like this that helped lift his beautiful 3 year old body from the cloud of "owwie" that he felt post surgey. Thank you. read more

Due to some circumstances that came up a few weeks before my daughter's delivery, I had to be transferred here instead of going to Katy Memorial Hermann. The doctors here were on top of things and made sure everything went well before and after the delivery. I would deliver here again if I could but it's a bit out our way. read more

Staff was so helpful and did everything in their power to help my baby girl while keeping us informed and comfortable with their choices in treatment. I don't live that close so I was hesitant to drive there and thought of going to a local hospital but I'm glad I didn't. The doctors were great. read more

Their NICU is incredible, but unfortunately the rest of the hospital is not held to such high standards. I'd rather not give specifics, other than the rooms on 10 were dirty even after being cleaned. read more

My daughter was transported via ambulance to the ER here following an accident so she was taken to a room immediately. Things moved along pretty quickly, she had to get an X-ray and CAT scan. The result was admission into the intermediate care unit. The pediatric trauma team was very punctual but lacked in bedside manner, I get it, they are busy with a lot of emergency trauma patients and weren't sure if my daughter would need surgery for her pneumothorax and had to monitor her for internal bleeding due to a liver injury. The wait for a room was brutal. We sat in the disgusting ER for hours, someone was life flighted in and put on the other side of the room we were waiting in. One of the employees told me I had to leave the room, but a nurse said I could stay. We were finally transported to the 9th floor. The staff there was amazing. She received excellent care. They have volunteers that provide activities for children to do like painting and sand art. As well as iPads. They answer questions in terms that a child can understand. They gave her a stuffed giraffe named hopper, that is their mascot. She put an IV in the giraffe with one of the teachers to better understand what was in her arm. She spent two days there and once it was determined the bleeding stopped and her lung was healing on its own and surgery wouldn't be necessary she was moved to the general pediatric floor. She got physical therapy and a knee brace. This was a good experience following a traumatic accident, things turned out much better than expected. Hopefully we won't have to return. read more

2nd time to Labor and delivery. Crew is unwelcoming and made me feel uncomfortable both times. They don't speak when you walk in . Young black girl at the sign in patient/guest desk gives you dirty looks and the lobby is dirty. read more

The staff has been super helpful and kind, but BEWARE of the parking charge. Our grandmother has been in the ICU and it costs $10 a visit to park in the garage. If we decide to leave for lunch so that we don't have to eat in the overpriced cafe, it costs $20 a day! To visit grandma in the hospital!!! Appalled at the leadership that ok'd the decision to gouge people grieving like this. read more
