I've seen this place so many times when going to Isleta Resort & Casino. Given the choice between Fatburger and these guys well sad to say Fatburger gets me majority of the time. Seeing as this was the only restaurant open in the casino the choice was easier this time around. COVID 19 has made everything a bit awkward I'm not gonna lie. The days of waiting in line and being face to face with a cashier who takes your order are just about over. Now we are separated with plexiglass and wearing a mask that makes it hard to understand one another. Needless to say Chili Ristra has managed to adapt and are making it work. I had a tough choice between the Quesadilla or the Basket of Taquitos. My two favorite dishes well in Mexico the quesadilla is considered more a snack or appetizer rather than a full meal anyways, I consider it a meal just felt like sharing that interesting fact. Luckily my buddy Randall wanted to get the fries from the taquitos so he went halfsies in them so I was able to get both to try. The Quesadilla had chicken and a very generous amount of cheese. It also came with both sour cream and guacamole. The Taquitos came with 4 Taquitos, fries, salsa, and guacamole. Admittedly I favored the Quesadilla more than the Taquitos. Just mainly because of the flavor and lack of it in the Taquitos. The Taquitos were ok but the meat and seasoning were plain and dull not very exciting. My buddy enjoyed them more than I after he drenched it the guacamole. The fries on the other hand had a much more memorable experience. Overall the place has a great menu and offers great meals for a fair price. I am glad I finally tried it and next time around I'll most likely return to try more of their great food!

Change is good. The good for us was the start of our third road trip of 2022 which started in Albuquerque. Our meal here was not memorable. Wife had a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with sausage, eggs and Swiss cheese. It was average. I had the eggs, over medium with sausage, hash browns and toast. Eggs and hash browns were undercooked. Toast was burnt and sausage was not good. It was cheap but not cheerful. Would try again if in Albuquerque, but not the egg breakfast.

2 eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and toast.

The food is reasonably priced. We have the 2-egg breakfast and soooooo good. The workers were extremely friendly and a very clean place.

Very good hamburger with chile and bacon.

Crispy Brussels sprouts had great flavor but way too much cayenne pepper (which adds nothing but heat) my husband ate them but said he would prefer less heat. I had 2 bites and gave up. Baked brie was amazing I loved the granny Smith apples! My husband loved them too. We also got the hummus duo which has dates on it and I used a date in the brie that was fantastic! I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy . White sangria I had was disappointing it was more of a 1995 wine spritzer than a wine infused with citrus which is the very essence of sangria. It was ok and had I ordered a wine spritzer I would say yummo but I ordered sangria. Pork Belly flat bread was the winner of the night the tomato jam made that dish. I would love more on it next time but we will definitely be ordering that dish again! Yes we had a lot of left over food! But I love sampling a menu and this menu has a lot to offer. We will be back to try 4 or five other things. I look forward to my return.

(Except for the noise from an occasional loud vehicle that drove by!) We ordered two appetizers: Korean Chicken Bites and Parmesan Zucchini Ribbons. The chicken bites weren't our favorite. Just okay. But the zucchini ribbons with the lemon basil aioli were so good! I would go back just to order that starter again. One disappointment is that I really wanted to order the Shishito Peppers. No longer on the menu. My meal was the Pastrami Reuben with fries. I switched out the Swiss cheese for cheddar. I liked the meal, and it was enough to bring half of the sandwich home for lunch the next day. The other two ordered the Crispy Pork Belly & Tomato Jam flat bread. One liked it, the other was just okay with it. Two of us ordered sangria. It was white, which came as a surprise to us. It was less sweet than we prefer. Another in our group ordered a mocktail and quite liked it. Got a second one and I don't believe they charged for the refill. Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of it. It might sound like I have too many issues to give a 4-star rating, but I stand by it. The amience was nice. The wait staff was pleasant. The menu was creative. I'll definitely go back.

They were the best salads I've ever tasted which I why I'm giving three stars instead of less. My mom ordered the 505 Cobb and they forgot her chicken which was frustrating after waiting for nearly an hour. However, they did make up for it by making her extra chicken! And their chicken was absolutely delicious!! I ordered Persephone's Lunch which was outstanding. I added chicken to it which made it nearly $20 for a bowl salad. When we walked onto the patio and took in those sweeping views of the Sandias, I was ready to love this place. Los Poblanos has all the ingredients of a truly special dining experience: a gorgeous setting, a thoughtful farm-to-table ethos, and a menu that promises something above the ordinary. Which is exactly why the evening's annoying missteps were so disappointing. Service was well intentioned but unpolished. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and, at times, unfamiliar with the menu -- a problem when guests are asking genuine questions about the food and wine. We ordered bread which came before our drinks were served. Wine service was inconsistent. I ordered an Albariño by the glass - 6 oz. My sister ordered the Cabernet listed on the menu as a recommended pairing for her entrée, priced at $11. After we placed our drink orders, the waiter returned to inform her that the menu price was incorrect -- the wine was actually $18. She agreed to proceed. He then asked whether she wanted "a half glass or a full glass," which is an oddly imprecise question at a restaurant whose menu specifies pours in 3, 6, and 9 oz increments. She said half glass. What arrived was 3 oz of wine in a small serving carafe, which the waiter simply poured into her glass -- no bottle presented, no taste offered. My own Albariño, by contrast, was brought to the table in the bottle with a proper taste before pouring. The disparity in service between the two of us was striking. A simple, clear statement -- "3 oz of this wine is $18, not $11; would you still like it?" -- would have resolved everything cleanly. Instead, the vague "half or full glass" framing left my sister without the information she needed to make an informed choice. For what it's worth, the wine itself was extraordinarily tannic -- borderline undrinkable -- and I would have sent it back. My nephew ordered a top shelf whiskey. The waiter told him "we don't have that". My nephew said "it's on your menu" to which the waiter responded "oh, let me check on that". There seemed to be too many instances of the waiter running back to the bar to check on stuff. Anyway, it was available. The waiter apologized. We ordered the bread which was served before our drinks arrived. Food took about an hour which is fine - I don't have an issue with that but during that time we never saw the waiter again. I ordered the soup of the day - potato and leek which was delicious. Followed by the blackberry salad, which was my main course. Both arrived simultaneously, with the salad placed in front of me and the soup set to the side as an afterthought. At a restaurant at this price point, the expectation that soup precedes salad is not an eccentricity -- it is simply correct service. When I expressed my surprise, the servers seemed genuinely puzzled, which suggests this may be a training gap rather than an isolated incident. As for the salad itself -- it was pleasant, but pleasant is not enough here. The blackberry salad was the kind of thing you might enjoy at a well-run casual chain: competently assembled, inoffensive, and forgettable. At a farm-to-table restaurant with access to exceptional local ingredients, I expect the plate to reflect that -- more intentional presentation, more layered flavors, something that is more elevated than what was presented. This one didn't. The gap between the setting and what landed on the table was wider than it should have been. My sister and nephews ordered the filet mignon and rib eye. Both arrived pre-sliced -- a presentation trend that has made its way into fine dining, though one that divides opinion. My concern, beyond personal preference, is practical: sliced meat loses heat faster, and at roughly $80 per entrée, guests should receive their steak in the condition that best showcases it. The quality was good, not exceptional. Los Poblanos is a restaurant with genuine promise and a setting that few can match. The concept is right; the execution needs work. The issues I encountered -- inconsistent wine service, course sequencing, and a discombobulated waiter-- are not kitchen problems. They are fixable. I hope the restaurant takes that seriously, because the bones here are excellent and the experience should be too.

First, this is truly in the city limits, far away from us. The decor tells me this place has been serving people for a long time, since 1999, without looking run down. It was welcoming, in fact! I was surprised that the place evolved to a casual dining format. The people behind the counter were very helpful and kind! It added even more to the welcoming vibe and feeling of this place. The menu had a lot of options and we saw a few good ones before ordering. However, we were here for this green chile burgers so we stuck to our mission. We got some variants though. One of our friends and I ordered the unaltered green chile cheeseburger with bun and fries. The hubby ordered the Abq. stalker, which has guacamole. One of our friends ordered it with flour tortilla and chile cheese fries with red and green chile. And because this was our first time, we got free natillas. The green chile cheeseburger was a decent burger, decently sized, and quite filling for big appetites. The bun gives a nice flavor and texture with the sesame seeds. The flour tortilla can help it be more manageable to eat and finish. The green chile was ok, but not spicy. The patty was well done, and therefore, had little flavor. The guacamole was also ok, but lacked some flavor and made the burger quite messy. The chile cheese fries do give regular fries an extra kick with the salsas. Unfortunately, I could not eat my natilla because custard does not agree with me, but everyone at the table liked the cinnamon mixed with the custard dessert. Overall, the place and people attending this business were the highlight of this visit! They were welcoming and felt like a truly family business. The food was ok, but did need more flavor. Maybe next time we will go for those scrumptious burritos or the adobada plate!
