Pretty good thai in Thousand Oaks. I was pleasantly surprised myself. It came highly recommended so I thought how bad can it be? We arrived and the place was oddly empty for a Saturday night dinner when it should be prime time. The Thai restaurant too offered sushi??? Lastly, the diners did not look to be from Thailand. These were all indicators that things could be a little sus but all in all a great Thai food experience. We did not get the sushi which everyone else was getting so maybe that will be the next thing to try. We tried the pad kee mao and the yellow curry. The flavors were great. The spice level was on point as well. We went with a 4 out of 5 and it was perfectly spicy. The curry was a little muted I'm sure from the coconut milk but the noodles were spicy just how we like them. The only thing I would note is the slower service for not a busy night. I will give them a pass as I did hear that this was a new location since their old location was being demoed. Online ordering system accepts orders even on days they are closed. Went all the way to the restaurant at the estimated pick up time only to find out then that the restaurant is closed. Called the restaurant the next day to make sure the order is cancelled and we aren't charged for an order that was never completed. The lady who picked up the phone said she would make sure it is cancelled. Lo and behold, the day after calling, we see a credit card charge notification pop up from this restaurant. How can they charge for an order that they never fulfilled? They engage in dishonest business practices. There are better Thai restaurants in town where I will be eating. read more

Plus, this family-owned business is now all over the land, from Ojai to Woodland Hills...and everywhere in-between. My gf and I ordered only a couple of things: 1) Pad Thai with Chicken [$11, 3.5 stars] -- wasn't how I remembered. Very little in the way of chicken and peanut. Basically, just flavored noodle. 2) Karee Gai (Yellow Curry) with Chicken [$12, 4.5 stars] -- this curry sauce is amazing, and basically, changed my life back in the day. Still love it. If chicken and potato isn't your thing, try one of there other outstanding curries. Conclusion: Truth be told, I have other Thai and/or Thai/Fusion places I frequent, but I'll be back with regularity. Service by the waitress and manager were sweet, humble, and kind.
