My grandson's french fries were soggy, his steak was so hard to chew (ordered medium well) that he couldn't eat it. My husband had the smoke house trio with spanish rice. His rice was so hard that he couldn't eat it. My coleslaw was dry and tasted funny. I moved the cabbage around a little more and it was brown. If I could give this zero stars I would. Worst customer service I've ever experienced and I am 45 yrs old! Our pick up order was an hour late and COLD! The manager never apologized and said a refund would take up to 15 days and asked that I return the food. I wasted over an hour of my time waiting and then had to return the food with no apology or any other compensation offered and then had to go somewhere else to feed my family. I really don't understand how a place can stay open with no working air conditioning in the summer in Louisiana at that. I went to enjoy my birthday dinner with some friends and I was so hot and sweating profusely I couldn't even enjoy myself. I gave 2 stars only because the waitress who was also the bartender was amazing. You could tell she was exhausted from the excruciating heat in that place. I can see why they are so short staffed!!! I haven't yelped lately, however when I come across a real "doozy", I feel obligated to let others know.. To start, this is a pretty run-down Chili's. The interior and exterior have been poorly maintained, and the overall aesthetics will kill your appetite. Let's see, what else.. Oh! How about when I walked in, neither hostess said a word to me - instead, they stood there and looked at me, as if I was the one who should be greeting. That frustrated me from the start - come on, have a personality, personal skills, courtesy, something.. I was traveling for business and thus was eating alone, so I decided to grab a table in the bar area. I sat alone, without one Chili's employee saying a word to me for a good 5 minutes. I started to wonder if the bar area even had a server, and/or if I was invisible. Did I mention I wasn't the only one getting phenomenal service? While waiting on service myself, I witnessed 2 other people in the bar area complain about not getting assistance. Well, 2 of about 6 tables complaining isn't too hot of a ratio. All I ordered was an appetizer and a salad - the food came out in an acceptable amount of time, and was great! When traveling for business, I regularly stop at Chili's - it's generally quick, I know the menu and the food is typically good. So.... I salute the Chili's of Alexandria with 1 measly star. Went to this location last Friday night at 8pm two adults a 9, 6 & 3 year old. Two other parties walked in behind us, we were ignored and the other two were greeted and addressed. I was standing in the front and center so the waitress literally had to look around me. When the second party was asked how many I answered for us too in case I was mistaken on whom she was asking and was told I could not be served because they only had the bar section open. I asked to speak with the manager and he was very rude, asked me what I wanted him to do. I asked if we could sit at two tables, (two were open side by side) he said no. The restaurant wasn't dead but it definitely wasn't busy. The manager was also in chefs jacket so I'm not sure if he was even the manager or not. I reached out to customer service online who basically was zero help. We travel a lot and usually eat at chilis because they are generally safe so it's a little disheartening that the local one is so bad. I should add, it was pretty dirty inside....not like stuff everywhere but it smelt like dirty water and was very dusty. Would give 0 stars if I could! I finally decided to give chilis a second chance due to a pregnancy craving after a long shift. I placed an order online for pickup. I arrived and checked in like it says. I also called the to go line because I forgot I drove my husbands truck to work and had put the description of my car. When I called the worker acknowledged I was there and told me my order was almost ready and would be out in a few minutes. After about 20 minutes a worker comes out and walks to my car along with the about 4 others waiting and asked my name. I told him and he said oh yeah that's number 3 it will be out in just a few minutes once again. Well after about a full hour of waiting and many people walking in a getting to go orders I decided to walk in and ask. When I told the worker my name he walked to the back and came back to see my confirmation email. He then walked to the back again and came back to say they never received my order and that it had already happened to about 5 other people. I live an hour away and at this point was frustrated so I asked for a refund and one of the people from the back came up and asked my name and last 4 of card number for a refund. About 3 days later the refund was not there even though he said it should be the next day. I was trying to be patient. I finally called the restaurant and talked to Melissa the manager and she told me it could take a week and if it wasn't there then to call back and let her know. Well I called back cause it still isn't there and the worker that answered was very rude. I asked very nicely if I could speak with Melissa and she told me she wasn't there and I told her that Melissa had asked me to call back and I asked when I should try and call back and she told me I don't know. I asked again you don't know when she might be at the restaurant again or when a better time would be and she rudely said no I don't know my managers schedule or when she will be here again. At this point I'm at a loss for words and would just like a refund but I doubt that will ever happen! read more

I've never had a good experience at chili's anywhere in the country. This one might take the cake though. The water was awfullll. It tasted like a Chinese fish market, seriously, did they just serve us the water that the salmon were bathing in?? Forgotten utensils and napkins? Yes, check. Black bean burger was on the menu but they also seemed to not know what to do when someone actually ordered it. First off the greeter kinda gave us a weird look because we didn't wanna sit at the bar like he suggested. So he seated us at a table and walked off. That was pretty much all that happened. Seeing all the signs for cracklins (think chicharonnes or pork rinds) while driving through rural Lousiana, I thought I would eat at a chain. I should have settled for the fried pork fat. I was so hungry that I scurried into the Chili's for food and was immediately seated. The service was spectacular. They never missed a beat: ordering drinks, food, appetizers, etc. I would give a four-star review if solely on the service. Unfortunately, you don't dine out for the service, the main point is the food. Our order for lunch was: Boneless Buffalo Bites Baked Potato Soup Plain Bacon Cheeseburger with fries Chicken Strips with Fries and corn on the cob The boneless buffalo bites are made for the masses. Weak flavor and not really piquant, in my opinion. I get them because I need to eat. As a stand-by, I would get them again. The soup is a different matter altogether. When visualizing the potato soup, think cheese dip plus salsa plus potatos. All I can say is ugh. If the potatos were removed, you would have cheese-dip for your chips. Add slivers of tortilla chips and you would have Tortilla Cheese soup. Add broccoli and you would have Southwestern Broccoli and Cheese. I had a few bites and nothing more. Dealing with the utter disappointment of the soup, I was quite disheartened when the burger showed. The bread outnumbered the meat and cheese by a factor of 4-to-1. Really??? Come on people. I removed the top bun in order to eat the burger and was not very pleased with the flavor -- or lack thereof. The chicken strips and fries were all in the same league as the hamburger -- flavorless. In the end, nothing was really worth the money due to the lack of flavor. Will I return? Probably. since Chili's is located in so many places and there are times I am not wanting to try odd or out-of-the-ordinary local favorites. read more

Chilli's can be good and bad, depending when you eat there. If you go for a Late lunch (2:00-5:00), you will have an excellent experience (the place will be empty and your food will come out quick, as expected). However, if you go on the weekend, then you'll be STANDING OUTSIDE (since they don't provide much seating for waiting parties) and you'll be waiting for an hour (for real!!!). This place if fun and cool for younger people, especially on nights of televised sport games. The food is good (sometimes) and the menu has lots of good choices. The chicken crispers, which is basically chicken fingers, are also great, but they make your breath stink really bad for some reason). Also, there's a large kids menu. The fajita is the best on the menu probably (that's what Chilli's is known for)!!! The dessert menu includes the Molten Chocolate Cake (Huge chocolate brownie smothered with ice cream and hot fudge), which is AMAZING!!! The Birthday Dessert is a small ice cream. However, the Chilli's in Alexandria can be cleaned a little more...a HUGE SPIDER crawled on my table when I was there and into MY PLATE!!!! There is also limited seating, meaning this place IS NOT GOOD for big parties (try keeping the amout of guess between 2-9 people to be safe)!! Our waitress Jessie was less than desirable. At first meeting she was friendly and took our drink orders. I asked for a water w/lemons and a strawberry Texas lemonade. When she brought the water to the table there were no lemons, so I asked about them and she stated that she would bring them in a sec because she had to have some freshly cut. That was perfectly fine, except for the fact that she walked passed our table three more times over a span of about 10 minutes and still no lemons. Eventually, I just went to the kitchen area and asked for them. Once the food arrived at our table, our waitress dropped the food off and left without checking to see if we needed any additional condiments or refills. I ordered the pick three smokehouse combo and had chosen the smoked brisket, jalapeño cheddar smoked sausage, and cheddar bacon chicken; it also came with fries, garlic pickles, toast, and roasted street corn. My platter looked thrown together, the brisket had no sauce (despite being pictured with sauce), and there were no pickles. These things weren't upsetting, but the fact that I ended up having to go back to the kitchen to ask for them, as well as, additional condiments for the others at the table was. In addition to that, she never asked if anyone needed refills and a different waitress ended up getting the refill for us. I'm usually very patient when I go out to eat because I understand that it can be hectic at times or that someone might be new. But it was not busy in the restaurant, and to see her walking around assisting other tables while neglecting our table was a bit much for me. Not to mention that when she finally would come to the table we either had to keep asking for the same thing we had asked for the last time or she was already moving on before we could ask her anything. I just felt it was unprofessional of her. There were some positives. The waitress that got the refill was much appreciated. The kitchen staff assisting me was great. They were friendly and I really appreciated that. Even though the presentation of my platter looked a mess, the meal was quite enjoyable. The other two ladies I dined with also enjoyed their meals. If I'm being honest the only complaint have is the funny looking manager yelling at the staff in perforce view of the customers and loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear. Food was solid, service and customer service was bad. 20+ minutes for drinks, split table was never communicated to the wait staff, therefore servers were confused. 1.5 hours later we have mild food including soups coming out late, never received the salad ordered. There was a 15-minute wait for a 7-person party, which would have been okay if there weren't two tables big enough to fit 7 people open already. Then, our waitress didn't come to take our drink orders until another waitress took them. When the other waitress showed up, she apparently had to copy down what the other waitress had taken which shouldn't have been that big of a deal. But apparently an appetizer that was ordered didn't come through. Then it took almost an hour for the food to show up, and most of it was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for a good while. Our waitress addressed this by saying there were only two cooks working, which was unacceptable at noon on a Saturday. There should be more cooks at lunch! read more

We stopped in to the Alexandria, Louisiana Chili's on Saturday February 17, 2018. We sat there for over 30 minutes before we were approached by a waitress. We ordered 2 tea's and chips and salsa. We again waited over 20 minutes for this. We then ordered our lunch and it was over 45 minutes before we received our food. My Cajun Pasta was cold and I had to ask for my Toast which my the time I received that I was finished and it was also COLD! My husband order beef and shrimp Fajitas. It also took over 45 minutes it was really cold. So cold that my husband was worried the shrimp was not cooked. "Eh" is the word I would use to describe it. First off, the customer service is TERRIBLE. Walking in, a waitress asked where we'd like to be seated. When I said the dining area, she said "Are you SURE?" Come to find out that was her area, guess she didn't feel like serving us? I felt like I was being judged by the way she stared at my tattoos but whatever. The waitress we ended up with was awful. Chili's, please teach your servers that "what?" Is not a proper way to ask a customer what they said. Hell, the girl couldn't even remember who had what drinks. Waited over 20 minuites for an appetizer, and when we still hadn't gotten it the "manager" walked up and said "What happened to your fried pickles?" The amount of stupidity was so intense I couldn't speak. I honestly didn't know if he was trying to be funny or if he was just stupid. Probably the latter. The place was filthy as well. Food EVERYWHERE and our table was soaking wet. Waitress never offered to clean it. The only reason I'm even giving it two stars instead of one was because the burger I had was okay. Notice I didn't say good, or great, or bad. It was just okay. I've had better burgers at McDonalds. And the other waitress that actually brought us our food was pretty pleasant. I would refrain from coming here even if you like Chilis. This restaurant is one of the worst places in the Chilis franchise. We had to wait roughly an hour for our food which came burnt or cold. The servers prefer to tend to the bar customers rather than the din-in customers. The restaurant is also very unsanitary and the air conditioning leaks water onto your food while you eat. THIS one, however may be different....or maybe we got lucky (I see many scathing reviews)....We didn't have to wait too terribly long considering it was a Saturday evening AND it was a prom night. Our waiter was friendly, fun & very efficient. I ordered Ancho Salmon from the light choices section and it was really tasty. BTW, major bonus points for having calories listed on the menu! When we got there, mind you we are all 21 and older, we wanted to order margaritas but when it came to my friend that's from a different country, he said they only accept American ID's which made no sense whatsoever. She is from a different country and doesn't have an ID to provide, just an international passport because obviously she's international. When i had went there previously with my boyfriend, they accepted his international passport AT THE BAR plus he's from ireland sooo.. Not sure who this guy is but he's a older white male with a beard and trust me he got no tip from any of us. If i could give it no stars, I would because how are you gonna expect an international student that lives in louisiana for school to have an ID when she only has a passport that has the same information? make it make sense. read more
