Worst customer service I've ever received. The manager Jessica, isn't the brightest tool in the shed. She talks to you in a condescending manner instead of fixing a problem caused by the restaurant. Wednesday, March 2, 2020 visit, dinner, 4 top table at the bar. When the bourbon and coke was made poorly, I figured it might be one of those screwed up nights and let me tell you, it was. Our waitress did apologize for the service prior to her taking care of us. She let us know that Chili's -Alvin was under new management. Carrae Lanes (new manager) was on duty and was helping expediting food going out to tables. We placed our orders with our waitress, it came out quickly, but the sides were mismatched, and one side didn't even come out. My chicken bacon ranch quesadillas were very good, however our friend's 1/2 rack of ribs came out with enough dry rub on them to choke someone. The cole slaw had too much vinegar, and pepper. One of our girlfriends took a call and went to the restroom... she was gone for several minutes. When she got back she asked our waitress to call the manager on duty to the table. There were two major issues in the bathroom. One, the lock on the handicapped stall was broken, and the middle toilet had a mound of feces stuck to the toilet bowl and refused to budge with repeated flushing. Our friend brought it to Carrae's attention. She tugged on her lapel and supposedly called for someone else on staff to take care of the unflushable waste. About half an hour later I got up to use the restroom. First stall occupied, handicapped stall, no lock.. Middle stall, still had issues. I refused to use the toilet in that condition, and management should have taken care of the problem and followed up on the matter herself to ensure the cleanliness of the ladies restroom. So me, a paying customer, had to get the toilet cleared myself so I could go. That should have never, ever happened. I was disgusted and upset. We spent, after tipping cloze to $100. We tipped for the patience and attitude of our waitress, not for the quality of the foods and drinks. read more

Not the bestchili's I've ever been to. The food was good, but not great. But our server Phoenix was great! The husbands chicken crisper and waffles, the waffles had a gritty suger texture to them and made the fish overly sweet. And my chicken buffalo ranch could use more sauce. read more

Why me? I pick this place because its consistent and it was anything but. The food was terrible. We went in for lunch at 11 and were the first ones in... I know they just opened but I've never seen a really empty Chili's. We looked at each other and thought "this isn't a good sign"... There was no waiting line but we sure waited 35 min before finally giving up and walking out. The very sad part is i honestly dont think they cared. What an amazing staff!!! The hostess was Ashton, hopefully spelled her name right. She worked her butt off taking care of each and every person coming through that door. Cleaning off tables to make room etc. She was the only hostess, and it was so busy. She was doing the job of three people. Then our waitress, wow!!! It was her 21st birthday and she took such great care of us. My husband drinks his tea so fast and she had a new tea ready before he was ever done. She took great care of us! I am just in wow after the experience these two gave us! This place is lucky to have them for sure!!! I work in customer service and to experience this is amazing!!!! read more

The food is great considering your not at a high dollar restaurant. They have excellent drink choices and very nice dessert menu. The food menu allows for lower calorie choices. The atmosphere is very casual. You can now re-order drinks and pay check on tablet on table. Kids can also play games on tablet while you wait. Never had a problem with service. read more

This was the most horrible experience we have had here. My family and I have been coming here for years and we have a steady decline in service for the past year. The waitress did not put our order in for the skillet queso, admitted it was her fault, then just said she would take it off our bill. She never asked if we still wanted it or offered anything in return. Then she brought the entrees out without the side of vegetables. She said she didn't want the rest of our food to get cold. How long does it take to steam broccoli? Something is not working here and it's a shame. The food was cooked right and tasted good, which is the only reason I'm giving one star. This is not the first time we have had a less than pleasurable dining experience. We've had multiple servers with the same problems. On a recent camping trip in Alvin, TX, the family and I decided to treat ourselves to our favorite dine-in chain. However, after a 40 minute wait from the time we got our teas, our waitress was still busy trying to fix a bill of another party. We were wanting to get just get up and leave, but we didn't want to stiff them on the teas, even though we were unable to drink them as we were also waiting on artificial sweetener. Finally, the host saw us calling him and called the manager. We explained our situation and told her we were ready to leave. She gave us 4 gift cards at $5 each for our trouble. Not happy. Things got worse, when we tried to redeem our cards at our favorite local Chili's, the manager told us there was no $ loaded on them. He honored them anyway. Good for him! Not happy about the Alvin location. Not the waitress' fault, she needed support from her fellow teammates or manager which not only didn't come but the manager turned a deaf ear to our experience set us up for failure at another location. This location is just terrible! Last time I dined in, I had to wait 10 minutes before we were sat even though the host was talking to some male server and saw us! Furious after this happened! Then I gave them another shot. I placed a to go order through the app and they still managed to get it wrong!! I am highly dissatisfied after receiving bad customer service 2 times in a row. It's Chilis, they are all about the same. This location kinda stinks. The servers are slow and forget things you asked for. When you have a coupon for your Chilis reward there is always an issue and the manager has to fix it. Customers take their bratty children and let them run around the restaurant and allow them to scream the whole time. Take your little shits to Cicis or Chucky Cheese or hire a babysitter so you can go enjoy a meal. I love kids, but the ones here always seem to mostly be little terrors and the parents don't care. Management really needs to step up and tell parents to control their kids. Running around a restaurant when servers are carrying hot plates isn't a very good idea and it makes other people's dining experience less than desirable. read more

Chilis seems to be the popular place in town as it usually packed on Friday and saturday nights. I've been to chilis many a time but rarely eat at this location( there is too many people i run into there). The food is mediocore but is typical of what you expect from chain restaurants. The burger bites are pretty tasty though and make a nice snack or meal. Service is spotty and seems to depend on which row you sit in. It hard to tell who your actually server is though because it was always somebody different bringing me each course (drinks, appitizer, entrees, etc.) Biggest name brand thing is alvin but that doesnt always mean a good thing. read more

Seems like everyone that works here doesn't really want to work here. There are a handful of servers that are decent, but most of the staff is either a mess, or doesn't give a crap about good service or high quality food. The worst thing is when I order TOGO, and everything is ALWAYS such poor quality. I don't know why I keep returning. I've never been in a more disgusting restaurant. We walked in at 3 on a Sunday afternoon, place is mostly empty, but damn near every table was filthy with dirty dishes and food. Hostess goes over and clears one table for us and runs a dirty rag over it before sitting us. Table is still dirty with prior customers food, grease and seats have food all in them. We moved ourselves to a clean booth in a closed section still clearly visible. No waitstaff or busboys appear on the floor for at least 10 more minutes. At least the waitress that finally waited on us comped our chips and salsa (though I was too skeeved out to eat anything). Kids were hungry. read more

Recently went to this Chili's while visiting family and I had a wonderful experience. I sat at the bar, I believe our bartender was Kasey(?). He was a very helpful to my wife and I while explaining some of the different drinks they have as well as some of the newer food items. We wish the Chili's closer to us had more employees like him! Went there last night and had what used to be one of my favorites, the Classic Bacon Cheese Burger. I don;t know if it's this restaurant or all of them, but they seemed to have changed the whole sandwich. Used to be a great juicy burger that took multiple napkins just to eat, and it was great. Now they use a very lean dry overcooked patty and these buns that are so sweet they made me gag. Just the worst burger I have ever had. Went there the week before (not my choice) and had chicken crispers that were anything but crisp, just soggy breaded virtually tasteless chicken strips, these used to be another great item on the menu. Chili's is slowly becoming one of my least favorite places to eat. read more

ok so I have already spoken with "the manager" about this experience that i just had, but I also wanted to share with others as well! I placed an order for to-go and they said 15 to 20 mins so i waited to leave my place to go pick it up. anyways i got there at 12:45 and i walked in and no one was at the counter then about 3 mins later a girl walks up looks at me and says nothing and walked away. it was another 5 mins or so till i was greeted by someone. which to me is just ridiculous. Anways as i was waiting on someone to approach the counter i saw alot of employees personal belongings scattered EVERYWHERE. I also saw cellphones and drinks and wallets and i even saw a medication pill sitting on some girls phone and it was right on the counter as you walk in. After i left i did call the manager and honestly he wasnt much help. He said, "im not sure what your complaint is" and i told him it took more than 5 mins to be helped and there were personal belongings everywhere and who leaves pills just sitting on a phone in someone elses reach. what a little child was in there and saw it (since it was right on the to go counter ) and ate cause they thought it was candy?? anyways i wont be ordering to go for a while. read more

booth was dirty when they sat us, had to chase hostess down to have her get someone to wipe it down. food was cold and dried out.. the only thing worse than the food was the service.. waiter would disappear for 10-15 minutes at a time. brought out our queso dip and took 10 minutes to bring us the chips for it. never came by to refresh our drinks, had to eat entire meal w/o anything to drink. bad service plus bad food equals me never returning. read more

My fiancé and I decided to go eat a Chilis in Alvin. So we walked in the doors and no one was standing there to seat people. We stood there for about 5 min and finally the hostess came from the back carrying a molten cake. She walked around the bar and did not find the table who ordered the cake. She walked to the podium and looked at the iPad with the tables and NEVER acknowledged us. NEVER said I'll be with you in a moment or anything. Well she went back to the back and we waited about another 3-4 minutes and I decided to seat ourselves. When we were walking to a table to seat ourselves, she walked up and never said anything to us, which made me even more upset about coming. I will not be going back to this Chilis. There seriously needs to be some training done on the people that work the front door. Chilis in Alvin definitely needs to hire a new hostess.
