I'm not reviewing the food here because it's Chili's. It meets the spec of all Chili's in that respect. This review is related to the noise level. They have the music turned up so loud that everyone in the restaurant ends up yelling at each other. The waitstaff is always very nice (as is everyone in Alvin) but they are not well trained. First time trying the triple dipper at Chili's, and it did not disappoint! I got the big mouth bites, Nashville hot chicken crispers, and fried mozzarella. So filling, I definitely had leftovers and ate it over the course of the next few meals. The big mouth bites had a sweet taste to it, the hot chicken crispers were salty rather than spicy but still pretty good and really crispy (livin up to its name), and the fried mozzarellas were my favorite! It didn't have a good cheese pull because we ordered takeout, but it still had great flavor. Love how they're all served with sauce on the side. I also got to try the southwestern egg rolls, which are loaded and packed with flavor, especially when paired with the avocado ranch. Pick up was smooth and relatively quick. This place has upped their game. The burger was juicy and the food not as salty as the past. I still don't like the service model where waitstaff pushes you to order everything at once and someone else brings the food, but it seems to be the big chain playbook these days and isn't the fault of anyone but upper management. I've always loved Chili's. I don't know why but I usually have good luck with food and service. This was no different except for a few things....I wish we had more social distancing between tables when they're not busy. We sat in a booth between two other parties and no plexiglass or any separation. Next time I go, I'd just ask for a different table. The server was good. He was polite and attentive and got our refills of water and chips and salsa promptly. The food was really good. We both got hamburgers and they were so good! I asked for mustard and mayonnaise on the side and he remembered that! They don't always you know.... The fries were hot and fresh and tasted great and I'm not a big fry eater. We would definitely go to this Chili's again as seriously the only reason I docked a star was the lack of social distancing and I should have asked to move. read more

Needs more waitstaff. Long delay for seating because they are understaffed. A large table stayed dirty for over a half hour. Six tables open and still a lot of people waiting. Long wait time on the adult food. They did get the kids food out quickly which was helpful on the front end, but they were finished eating long before our food got here. A friend and I went to Chili's on 10/4/24 to grab a quick burger. We both ordered the Oldtimer/w cheese one coke and lemonade. We split the bill and checked out by using the machine on the table. The total bill was $57.14. It looked high but we were in a hurry to get to a game. I did not print a receipt but my buddy did. The next day he called me and said looking at the receipt we had someone else's bill. He lives 10 minutes from there so he drove over. The staff remembered us but told him to come back when the Manager (Stephanie) comes in. They also gave him a email address for Stephanie. The next day he stopped by to see Stephanie. She asked for his receipt and gave him a $10.00 credit or gift card. He also called me while he was talking to her. She got on the phone and told me that I needed a receipt and my bank statement was not enough. She said that she had not received my email. She said that she needed to get with her Regional Manager. I gave her my cell number and she said she would get back with me in a few days. I accept the fact that I did not print a receipt. I will take the loss plus I live too far to drive back over there. The wait staff was good and we tipped them well. It's been three weeks and I still have not got a call. This will be the last time I will spend my money there. Me and my boyfriend used to love coming to this Chili's but now it's the worst. We came a couple of weeks ago, sat for 20 minutes with no drinks, not one person even offered us service. Worst service I've ever had at this location. We go to this location multiple times a month most of the time. Tonight our server was HORRIBLE. Barley checked on us, left our drinks EMPTY for so long we had to ask another server for drinks. Our boneless wings were luke warm, not even hot. This location is the poster child for bad service. I have been four times -- once at dinner, twice at lunch and once in mid-afternoon. Each time service was HORRIBLE. The food was standard fare, warm and well presented...just like any Chili's restaurant -- not great but not disgusting. Twice they put stuff on my bill that I did not order, and it seemed that the waitress had to get approval from corporate to have it removed (ie: it took forever). AND every time I have been here it has taken over an hour to get our food, even in the middle of the afternoon when half of the restaurant is shut down and there were only four other patrons there. It should not take an hour to prepare a sandwich and soup. Its not even just the kitchen that is slow, but waitstaff are extremely inattentive and seem more interested in playing on their cellphones or chatting up with coworkers. On my most recent visit, I couldn't get the attention of all the waitstaff huddled in front of the bar TV, so I got up and found a pitcher of tea to refill my own drink...not once but THREE TIMES! One of the waitresses glanced over and saw me doing this, smiled, and went back to chatting with her friends!!!!!!! I even tried to complain to the manager on my last visit, but my waitress told me he was "on break". Must have been a lunch break, because I waited around an extra 45 minutes to complain and he was still "on break" when I left. Needless to say, I've given this location several chances thinking that maybe I was just there on a bad day or having bad luck; however I've come to conclusion that staff and management here are just poorly trained and don't care about the customers. I said but my order is right here and there are no customers inside, so for this time I would like to just grab my order. The hostess said no but you can talk to my manager. My kids joined me when I visited. The wsit is probably the only thing I have to complain about. We waited just like everyone else. No sign in sheet and no one at the door to see who was next. Wait time was about 35 minutes. When we were finally seated, Jon came to our table took our drink order and upon return with our drinks, he took our food order.He was fast, efficient and made sure we were happy with our order.The food was prepared properly and just as we ordered it. He made sure to refill our drinks and stopped ny several times to make sure we were doing ok or if we needed anything else. Chili's was an understatement. It was cold outside and even colder inside. We asked the server to try to get the heat turned up, but she never did and never said if they could or couldn't.
