Basic. Not worth writing home about but not bad. It's a chain restaurant. I ordered the ribeye with the skillet potatoes & onion rings..meat was just okay, onion rings were not good at all & the potatoes were covered in cheese. You put enough cheese on anything & it'll be good. It took a very long time to get seated & the bar tender was our server. We saw her a total of 3 times. I honestly don't think I've ordered from Chili's and it not be delicious untill tonight. I ordered the shrimp pasta, 2× corn on the cob, baked potato soup and melted chocolate cake with ice cream.. paid $39 dollars and the ONLY thing worth eating was the cake .... The pasta was thrown in a bowl,, and it looked like, instead of cooking with the spices,, they just added them for looks after it was cooked.... The corn on the cob was a 1 outta ten and """ HOW CAN YOU MESS CORN ON THE COB up??"""" Is beyond me, but somehow they managed to do it... Then instead of potato soup,, I got what seemed to be a can of tomato s, with a dash of dried up oregano on top .. I ordered curb side and the little girl was really nice and did a great job, but who ever is working that grill needs to be completely retrained on how to cook or find another career that doesn't evolve cooking.. sorry not sorry!!! I have loved Chili's since college. I had stopped going over the last few years because the quality of the food had declined at my usual haunts (Greensboro). We moved to Asheboro a few years ago and I gave Chili's another go. The Chili's in Asheboro is far better than the one in Greensboro. My food is hot and good. Now I'm a Veteran E-Club Patron of Chili's traveling & visiting many locations, but my experience with this Franchise was not good. Elerby, our waitress seemed nice, but there was a problem between her & the bar team members getting drinks out in a timely manner twice. Each time she asked: "Did they not bring your drinks?" First of all, my Husband and I LOVE Chili's and eat at one of their restaurants often, even when traveling, we look for a Chili's. The Asheboro location has always been a favorite and we've always had good experiences there. Unfortunately, last night was VERY disappointing, in terms of the service! We are usually very good tippers, giving well more than the 20% but, last night, I'm not sure we even tipped 10%. There were three of us in our party last night and once we were seated, we waited a good 10 mins before we even saw our Server, Kelsey. She was friendly (that remained true throughout our experience), took our drink order and, we waited...as Reward Members, we requested chips and salsa and...we waited. Sometime around 10 mins. AFTER the chips and salsa arrived, Kelsey came to take our order. (Now, we did ask for a COUPLE of extra minutes, prior to this wait but, we didn't need 10 mins.) By the time we placed our order, we already needed drink refills which sat unfilled until we tracked down another Server and asked. When the food arrived our drinks needed refilling again and...we waited. Longer story short, we ended up spending nearly two hours and TOO much of that time was WAITING on service. We even had to ask another Server to help us get our check. We left frustrated and not interested in returning. Our Server was also taking care of a party of 12 (they were already being waited on, when we arrived) and the booths on either side of ours. Maybe she needed more help, I don't know. I haven't been to a Chili's in many years but visited the one in Asheboro on 5/4. The wait was reasonable for a Sat night. I was really impressed with how good the food was. From the appetizer to the desert everything was very tasty. The only wait we had was getting unsalted chips with our salsa. We will be returning! read more

We stayed at a hotel near the restaurant and we did curbside pickup. Our order was ready on time and brought to our car by a very friendly server. We requested silverware, but we didn't get any. The chips were so rancid that we each ate one and threw them away. My husband ordered a side salad with no croutons and no cheese. There was a tag saying "no croutons and no cheese", but the salad had both on it. The chili had a 1/2 layer of solid grated cheese on it. I ordered enchilada soup, it was cold, but once I warmed it up, it was fine. I also ordered a grilled chicken salad...very good, but hard to eat without silverware. read more

I arrived at 17:38, an employee asked my name I provided it and received the text at the same time asking me to reply "here" when I arrived. I initially didn't since the employee took my name. After 9 minutes of nothing, I replied "here". The employee had been bringing orders out to cars the entire time. I received another text 9 minutes later telling me to reply"here" when I arrived. I have never been to Chili's before in my entire life. The server helped me navigate the menu and she made wonderful suggestions. I felt so valued and I never had to ask for anything. Gave two stars out of kindness because #Covid. Waitresses were kind. We should have turned around and left when we saw the 94 sanitation score when we walked in...but, it is our anniversary and it was already 7pm so we decided to stay. We ordered margarita specials. Margaritas were good. We ordered the 2 for $25 dinner which included an appetizer, 2 entrees and a dessert. We ordered bacon cheese fries for the appetizer. They were left under the broiler for too long and came out hard as rocks and the cheese had long ago melted and was hard and crusted on the edges. We were starving and ate about half of them despite poor quality. Hey, ranch dressing fixes everything, right? We didn't eat them all so we could save room for our steaks. When the entrees came, they smelled STRONGLY of dead fish and I tried to taste the steak but it tasted like salmon. Gross. The mashed potatoes were thick like paste and flavorless. I asked the waitress to please take the plate because of the overbearing nauseating fish smell. Husband also sent his back. I ate 1 bite. He ate maybe 3-4 bites. They DID offer to remake the food or get us something different but we didn't want to risk it. They comped the steaks but proceeded to charge us $5.29 for the aforementioned cheese fries... which were supposed to be a part of the inedible 2 for $25 deal. We didn't get a dessert. We spent $30 on drinks there. Just seemed a little excessive to nickel and dime us for some overcooked cheese fries after you just served us completely inedible food. I am a big girl-not some skinny little bird. It takes a lot for me to say something is inedible. Definitely in the top 5 grossest meals I've ever had. We won't be back. So disappointed. Ordered delivery from them 3 days ago. Website said my order was delivered by the Doordash delivery person never dropped my food off. I was unable to contact the driver either. 2 days later and I have filed complaints with both Doordash and chili's. I love their food, but use curb-side if you can. Went late lunchtime, place was barely half full. Waitstaff was uninspired to take drink order and bringing it to table was approx 15 wait , and that was for a bottled beer and soda . Food was decent but was sloppy in appearance. Portion size average for a chain restaurant. They seem to position the trash right next to the dining room and when the A/C runs (warm or cold) if trash is sitting there it gives off a nasty smell everywhere. Just up from our hotel so I popped over for a drink and a meal a couple of times within a couple of weeks before Christmas. I sat at the bar both times. I almost didn't go back after the first experience, because The food (cajun chicken pasta) okay tasting but had a bit of an aftertaste that I wasn't fond of. The worst thing though, was it was barely warm. Like it had been sitting too long barely, but I didn't have to wait for it at all so...? But what made me nearly not go back was the barkeep. Maybe she was having a bad day, someone giving her a hard time, or whatever, but I'll tell you, with an attitude like that, people don't want to be around you. The second time was a completely different experience. The food was good, hot (fajitas on a hot skillet, so duh) and the barkeep "Mary" (i asked her name so I could put it in the review) was very friendly and attentive. Based on my second visit I'd recommend, but not on the first. I may go back sometime over the next few weeks that I'm in town, but you can bet I'll look to see who's tending bar before I choose where to sit. read more

This is a standard Chili's location and thus gives a standard Chili's experience: mid-scale casual, pretty similar across the country. This location is operated reasonably efficiently, service is generally acceptable. Often there are lines here on weekends, so call ahead to ask how long waits are. It seems to be a popular date night location with teens and other young adults. The food is okay. If you've been to one Chili's it seems you've been to them all. Compared to an Applebee's or other similar style restaurant, the Chili's niche is American style food with a Southwestern bent. The Chili's take out in this location is fairly nice. There is a separate entrance to the left when facing the building featuring a few dedicated parking spots. Ordering online is fast and convenient. For the most part they are accurate and get your order ready in the time you specify though I would suggest checking your order thoroughly as they have, on occasion, left things out here and there. (Sauces, etc. nothing major.) Value proposition is high as they have a great deal for appetizer, entrees and sides for 2 people for $20. I'm giving it 4 stars as the staff here is generally very friendly and helpful. read more

My wife and I ate at chilli's Thursday evening 6/6/13 in Asheboro, NC the service and food was awful not a typical Chilli's. First of all there were no straws left for our drinks I typically do not drink out of the glass but I'm glad I started. I turned my glass up and saw something black in my drink...I waited for the waitress to come back to the table and tried to point out whatever was in my drink. She said she would get another drink. Upon her return I asked her if she finally seen it and she replied yes but it was not a problem she WAS NOT BUSY. I would hate to have seen what would have happened if she was busy. Second, I had the steak & ribs, the steak tasted like they had accidentally spilled all the seasoning they had in the restaurant on the steak. It really tasted like I was eating chilli instead of steak. The ribs were decent. Okay so I have to say this was a horrible experience and one like I had never experienced before. Our waitress was slow and acted as if she were in a lot of pain. It took her forever to get our order, to get our drinks and to even speak. I wondered if she were slow or maybe drunk. Well, a few minutes into it my friend noticed what looked like blood soaking through her shirt in the back and there were these little areas pushing out. My friend asked her if she was bleeding on her back and if she was okay. The girl laughed and proceeded to tell us that she had been up all night and had been doing suspension. We asked what that was and she said it was where her tattoo artist pulled her up by hooks in her skin and let her hang in his studio and she still had the hooks in and she was in a lot of pain so she took some pills. Yea, we left, as soon as she walked away, we laid down enough money to cover our drinks and we were GONE! I primarily go to 3 different Chili's when I go to any of the 3 towns that I frequent. Those 3 Chili's are Aberdeen, NC; Shallote, NC and Fayetteville, NC. All 3 have Great Customer Service and food!
