    The Merry Maker Margarita
    Asante L.

Ended up here to hang out with friends after work and we had such a sweet waitress. Her name was Shy and she made sure to check in on us and always promptly addressed any concerns she notices before we even said anything. She was new but her customer service was stellar! Food was solid and we have no complaints. Always a good meal when we come. Our drinks were also amazing! Only issue was the Flamingo Freeze really tasted like a plain margarita that just looked delicious, did not get any of the Prickly pear flavor. Outside of that we had a fun time!

    Nashville Hot Mozzarella

Wanted to watch the last game of the NBA Finals and there was a Chili's near our hotel. Had been wanting to try their fried mozzarella and my friend and I sat down at the bar. It was about 30 minutes until closing and it took a good 10 minutes until someone finally took our order. Ordered a draft Modelo but found out about 5 plus minutes later that they may not have any. I offered to change but about 5 minutes later they brought out a new keg of it. We ordered the Nashville hot fried mozzarella as my friend has had it plenty of times and said it was good. Based on the photo, it looks nothing like what he had or what I have seen on social media. It wasn't really saucy and was just pepper-y instead. The side of ranch saved it, but not a good experience overall here with food and service.

It's seat-yourself, so we had to pull a couple tables together to fit everyone. One thing to note: it was very warm inside, so I'd recommend sitting toward the back where it's more comfortable. My boys really enjoy this place, so I wanted to like it more, but the food was just okay and a bit pricey for what you get. Most items run about $14.99-$21.99, even appetizers are at entrée prices. I ordered the Carne Asada Fries appetizer ($15.99) after hearing they were "fire." The steak had good flavor, but the portion was light--fine for sharing, but not very filling. One entree, Big Dipper ($15.49), a roast beef seemed overcooked and there wasn't much meat on a large bun. Two people from the table ordered pizza. Neither ate more than 2 pieces. On the positive side, the beer selection is excellent, with plenty of options on tap and in bottles and cans--from Guinness to local IPAs. The atmosphere is also unique: plates cover the walls and ceiling from guests who've completed their beer challenge, which makes for a fun, quirky vibe you really have to see in person. Dart boards for those who want to be a bit more active. Overall, it's a great spot for beer and atmosphere, but the food and pricing didn't quite match the experience for me.

Mean while we saw our waitress walk by us multiple times in fact she even took the table next to us drink order, brought them their drinks, the came back and took their order - all before acknowledging we were even sitting there. We had waited long enough that I had just started to ask to speak with someone if they could find out whose table it was. I ordered their bowl, and other person did the same, I also ordered a Bloody Mary, and my counterpart got grits and side of bacon. Our waitress acted more like we were an inconvenience to her other plans for the day or maybe she feels this Job is beneath her. She brought out my water and the other persons tea. And that my friends was the last we saw of our waitress. I don't mean that we didn't see her skirting around us or anything. Just that she stopped coming to the table. Which I don't know why. We weren't rude or even in a bad mood. We didn't get any refills. Didn't ask for anything else. And we finally waved down the waitress when we needed our checks to leave.

The wings were AMAZING, and the sliders were absolutely delicious! They were so good that I devoured them before I even thought to take a picture! Unfortunately, the pierogies were the one disappointment, especially since they were actually the main reason I decided to order from here. They were a bit too greasy for my taste. After eating two, I ended up placing the rest on a paper towel to absorb some of the excess oil, which unfortunately made them less enjoyable. That being said, I would definitely eat at The Degenerate again. I'd happily order the wings and sliders again, but I would probably skip the pierogies next time unless they're one of those dishes that are simply better enjoyed fresh at the restaurant rather than as takeout. Overall, there were definitely more hits than misses, and those sliders and wings alone are worth another visit!
