    Sirloin steak and veggies

It's been soooo long since I've been to Chili's. It's a Friday night and it was busy but luckily we were able to get a table in the bar area. I chose the famous Triple Dipper which had the mozzarella sticks (nice crisp with cheesy pull), honey chipotle chicken (the portion was bigger than I thought), and the big mouth bites. I couldn't eat this myself, it was great as a shareable item. I paired it with The Witches Brew marg, which was $6. Sadly, they didn't have the glow stick. The marg was too sweet for me but gave me a nice buzz. Of course I had to go all in and get the Molten Chocolate cake. This always hits! It's warm and gooey, the perfect ending to a long week. Chilis is always on point and service was pretty good. Pricing is always great and it's amazing for families.

Chili's was weirdly busy for a Tuesday night. I was surprised. Anyway, the energy was good so I rolled with it. I ordered the ribeye with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese since they were out of steamed broccoli. The nerve. But the steak came through. Juicy, flavorful, and didn't need a single drop of steak sauce. I added buttered mushrooms on top and oh my gosh, that alone was worth the trip. Delicious. The mac and cheese was cheesy and salty. And listen, I love salty, so I was thriving. But if you don't like salt, maybe approach with caution because whew! Got chips and salsa for our appetizer with a side of guac too. The guac was tasty, a tiny bit heavy on the cilantro so I had one moment of "why does this taste like soap," but overall it still slapped. My drink of choice was the Witch's Brew margarita. Yummy, strong, and honestly kinda magical. I was definitely buzzed. It was $6 and came with a plastic broom stick. No glow stick And of course, I had to end with the Molten Lava Cake. The ice cream scoop was smaller than usual but the cake and hot fudge did all the heavy lifting. Still so good. Still my go-to. Still worth every calorie. I was so stuffed but definitely satisfied. I would definitely go back soon.

Went for a quick drink and snack with my friend, and we had a good time! Our server was very sweet and friendly. The nachos were way better than we had expected, or maybe that's the alcohol talking haha (drinks also tasted good). Everything was served quickly. Place itself was pretty spacious, luckily it didn't feel too overwhelming inside even considering how busy it was when we came by.

Needed a quick bite to eat so we stopped off at my friendly neighborhood Chilis. We like to beat the football rush Dominic was so attentive and super quick with our orders and food. He didn't skip a beat and kept asking if we needed anything else. Such a great experience every time we sit at the bar! 3 for me will always win!

Chili's Restaurant Birch Rd location in East Chula Vista, CA menu

First time dining at Chili's the Birch Rd location at Otay Ranch Town Center in East Chula Vista, CA. There was a 30 minute wait time not too bad after the car show ended. This location has a lot of parking and is near many shops and restaurants. We ordered the following: *Margarita chicken with black beans and steamed broccoli. It definitely tasted 10 times better after I added lime to the chicken. I rate this plate 4/5 stars. *Smashed burger with French Fries. My husband enjoyed this burger said it's a high end version of a Big Mac...haha! He rated this burger 4/5 stars. The restaurant has TV's in every corner so you don't miss your favorite sports games. Chili's was busy and our server kept forgetting my husband's beer, but that's understandable at least she was nice. I'm glad she placed our toddlers Mac n cheese order right away. Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. Happy Yelping :)

Martha and staff we are so sorry for what you experience yesterday. the table next to us were completely disrespectful to you guys and I don't know who they think they are to treat servers the way they did. Being racist asking to learn how to speak English as if they were above others. we were having a great night until they started snapping fingers and thowing a tantrum like little kids for what it looked like a small desert. Once they left they threatened staff about corporate and bad reviews so I came to to see if they would do it so I could leave my two cents. Learn how to treat your servers and managers with respect we are regulars at chilis at Otay ranch since we live in chula vista and I have never seen you in the store!

So I never thought that I would give Chili's a 5 star review but here I am and they absolutely deserve it. My good long time friends invited me to a Happy Hour to celebrate my birthday, and we chose this Chili's. We were greeted upon arriving and seated immediately in the var area. The hostess was smiling and very customer service oriented. We were given menus, and iced water came immediately. Shortly after that, the signature Chili's Chips and Salsa came to the table...DELICIOUS! Their thin and perfectly crispy tortilla chips and salsa is ADDICTIVE. For their bar area Happy Hour, there is a monthly featured margarita. This happened to amazingly be my favorite this month: WATERMELON MARGARITA!! We each ordered a watermelon margarita, YUMMY! 3 of us ordered the Fajita Trio Platter to share. It comes with your choice of 3 proteins. We chose shrimp and steak x 2. You can choose corn or flour tortillas, or both; which is what we chose. The platter came out in the signature Chili's sizzling style. There is also beans, sour cream, fresh salsa fresca, grilled bell peppers, and grilled onions. Everything was delicious! I will come back and I hope that the service and food is 5-star when I do. The restrooms were clean and well stocked, no issues, making this a great visit overall.

I enjoyed my first visit at this Chili's. MATTHEW was the bartender/server was friendly and checked in with me often. I had their Smash-burger,that was really good. I had one beer in the restaurant was clean and had that classic chilies vibe, as I was walking out This restaurant was filling in pretty good gets pretty busy there.

The family comes here every once in a while. They have a "3 for me deal" that includes an appetizer, main with side, and drink... it's a pretty good deal! The chips and salsa is a good starter for sharing. The chips are thin and fresh, yum! The burgers are flavorful and a huge portion. The chicken crispers are their chicken tenders, we like it with their honey chipotle sauce. The wait fluctuates.... During peak hours, the wait can be an hour or more... There's lots of staff floating around, and you can see they're all working hard.. A decent option if you're looking for a casual dinner out with family.

Updating my review because it's so much better since we last visited. We've been here a couple times. The food and service has improved! Even when it gets busy, we've never had to wait for a table. We never come here on the weekends though. Servers are always friendly. Food comes out piping hot and fresh. The watermelon lemonade I had tonight was delightful. I'd order that again. Today I opted for the plain 4 piece tenders with two sides; broccoli and macaroni to share with my toddler. Y'all... I haven't seen my little one eat like this in a long time. She threw down and practically inhaled this meal. I think that in itself explains a lot lol! Ambiance is loud, but fun. Clean too. As for the triple dipper... the hype is real. Though I wish the mozzarella sticks had a cheese pull. It didn't come out hot and fresh compared to the other two apps.

I'm quite sure that John Goblikon is a larger Chili's fan than than I am. By larger I don't mean stature of course. I do wish that I had all of the merch that he owned. Though that would take up too much space in my home. I'm also one hell of a Chili's fan. I'm sorry that it's not still all about baby back ribs and barbecue sauce. However they've done some work lately, comparable and competitive prices. I think Chili's gonna survive this wave of hate for dining out and overall inflation, Chili's is gonna win the war against big corporate shrinkflation. I got that Triple Dipper with Southwest Eggrolls (epic), Nashville Hot Mozzarella Stick (bomb) , and Nashville Chicken Crispers (nuclear bomb). Highly recommend Chili's still. It's way more affordable than anywhere else. Only downside is they don't put out salt and pepper without requesting anymore, but that seems like an everywhere deal. By the way, warm tortilla chips still epiccccc.

She recommended the carne asada fries, so we ordered those along with chips, salsa, guacamole, a Coke, and a Long Island Iced Tea. Even though it wasn't busy, it took about 15 minutes to get our drinks. The guacamole was the star of the meal--fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I've had. It was absolutely delicious! The carne asada fries, however, were a huge disappointment. For $24.99, there was barely any carne asada on them. They were mostly French fries with cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, cilantro, and sour cream, with very little meat. They also lacked flavor and definitely weren't worth the price. The fresh guacamole saved the meal, but the slow service, being ignored at the bar, and the overpriced carne asada fries made for a disappointing experience

So I don't go as often as I used to as the location on Birch is quite a drive. But Friday the 20th my wife and I decided to make the drive because we had a rare day off together and I was craving. We were seated quickly and the staff was friendly. GG was our server and I asked her about the shrimp burrito in ranchero sauce because I didn't see it on the menu to which I was given the very sad news that they no longer served it. I'm a creature of habit, and I've been coming to this chain since my early 20s and I always get that burrito with rice and beans. Was very disappointed to find it's no longer a menu item, it was literally what made me make the drive from lakeside. Once getting that news I had to actually look at the menu and find something else. I ordered tha carne asada plate and my wife had the Green enchiladas. I also ordered the ceviche tostada. I was a little worried the carne asada might be thin and dry but it was actually a nice thickness and super tender. I had a bite of the enchiladas too, also really good. Another new thing I noticed is that now chips and salsa are not complimentary, sad. But unfortunately not something new to the restaurant scene as of late.

Our waitress was nice enough, but we did notice other tables around us were getting checked on more often. Again, it seemed like she may have been handling larger parties, so we didn't make a big deal out of it. The food honestly saved the night. My Italian wife said the short rib lasagna was easily one of the top 3 lasagnas she's ever had. That says a lot. My wife got the steak frites and while the steak itself was good, the potato chunks were undercooked. The tiramisu was fantastic too. We didn't mention the potatoes to the server because everything else was going smoothly enough. Overall, despite some service issues, we still enjoyed ourselves and would probably come back again for the food alone.
