This is my first Google review, which says something because I am admittedly difficult to impress when it comes to restaurants. I pay close attention to food quality, service, value, and the overall customer experience. When a restaurant delivers something exceptional, however, I believe it deserves to be recognized. We recently visited Black Angus and had one of the best overall dining experiences we have had in a long time. Jessica, who I believe was the assistant or shift manager, greeted us with such an upbeat and welcoming personality that she had us laughing within the first 30 seconds. That immediately set the tone for the evening. While we waited, we sat at the bar. The bartenders were friendly, genuine, and engaging, the drinks were an excellent value, and the entire atmosphere felt relaxed and positive. Our server, Veronica S., was fantastic. She was warm, personable, helpful, and genuinely fun to talk with. She personalized her recommendations based on her own experience, made the menu easy to navigate, and encouraged us to try a few things outside our normal choices. Every recommendation was excellent. We ordered appetizers, cocktails, sides, and steaks. Every course exceeded expectations. Both steaks were cooked perfectly to the requested temperatures, the portions were generous, and the quality and presentation were excellent. What stood out most was the consistency of the entire experience. From Jessica, to the bartenders, to Veronica, to our conversation with General Manager Ashley, every interaction felt friendly, organized, and sincere. I regularly spend considerably more at other restaurants and receive far less in service and overall value. This evening was the complete opposite. The team created an experience that felt polished without being formal and personal without feeling forced. Veronica made the evening especially memorable, and we would gladly return during one of her shifts. I would not change a thing. The staff here works incredibly hard to please their customers. Jessica waited on me and had to put up with my conversation, because my phone died. LOL. Seriously, she recommended an outstanding small steak and sides. It came out a bit overdone, it happens, She read me perfectly and wisked it away to be replaced. Service here is really hit or miss. Usually it's great but tonight was sad enough for me to never want to come back. I normally tip 18% and up but I didn't even feel our server deserved 10%. She seemed more concerned with flirting with men at other tables than doing simple things such as drink refills. She also didn't fully put the lid on one of my children's cups which resulted in it getting spilled. She told the busboy we spilled our drink but didn't bother to ask us if we'd like a refill on that one. So my son and I went the last half of the meal without anything to drink. This Black Angus location has a continuous problem with their hostess. Today, 5/26 (5PM), we continue to be sat down by the same hostesses with glasses. In our multiple times dining this past year she has not ONCE greeted us when walking in. We walk in today, looks like she's snacking on something, I greet her and ask for a table of two. She walks us in and we get to a table and she points and goes "Is this okay?" with an expression like it COSTS her to do her job. It automatically makes you not even want to dine here (even though we love the food!). If she has issues with guest not liking her seating choice, its as easy as her actually speaking to the guest at the host stand and asking something as easy as, "Any table okay, or did we want a booth?" It's that easy. Every guest we watch her sit, she walks around with the biggest RBF and girl I get it! But at the end of the day, you're working the service industry. Greet people!! Smile a bit!! If you hate your job this much that you look miserable very time I come dine, go find another job idk or manager, move her to a different position where guest don't have to see her miserable face because god it makes this place depressing to walk into. read more

Came in today to Black Angus and honestly had a great experience all around. We were seated right away, the energy in the place was really good, everything was clean, and every single person we interacted with was super friendly. Jesse made my experience excellent with super friendly service and very attentive. Five stars across the board. I also downloaded the app while I was there and I highly recommend everyone do the same it's one of the best restaurant apps I've seen, very user-friendly and packed with promotions, like actually good promotions. The food quality is amazing for the price point, and with the extra savings from the app you really get a lot for your money. This is also a great spot for events, catering, and parties I saw a couple of birthday celebrations and everyone walked out happy. Definitely five star service. Haven't been here in a while and the food was average. The service was very slow however. My friend had an issue with her dinner and we had to wait 10 minutes for the server to come over. She rectified the issues but her main course was cold by then. Lots of upsell too for the campfire feast. All of the good stuff costs extra. read more

Such a great spot! The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were on point, and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. after seeing so many negative reviews, i wanted to come back a year later and leave a good rating because i remember liking this place about a year ago. we came on a thursday night, and it seemed pretty lively - there was a large birthday party in the middle, and every booth was occupied. i was mindful that we'd probably have to wait a little longer than expected since it looked like there was only one server that night. that was fine with me, as long as we got our food and our table wasn't completely forgotten. well, that's kind of what happened. it took about an hour from being seated to start getting any food, and it started with just one side dish (loaded potato soup). drinks came after, and then about 30 minutes later - after the soup and drinks were already finished - our entrees finally came out. by then, the mashed potatoes were basically solid. i wanted to share some with my partner since his side dish had been sitting on the table for almost an hour at that point, and when i pressed into the mashed potatoes with my fork, they literally held their shape and stayed firm. the broccoli was good, and the steak was alright. the server apologized for forgetting our appetizer and asked us to remind her what we had ordered. at that point, i assumed the appetizer would just be boxed up to take home since we had already been there for maybe an hour and a half and were halfway through our entrees. it wasn't - it came out on a pan fresher than all of our actual food. we also weren't offered more bread or water refills during the entire time. the server then asked what we'd like for dessert and if we wanted an "extra dessert" to take home, but we politely declined. by that point, we just wanted to leave after not having the best experience. we spent about 90% of our time here just waiting around. i'm not sure if it was a staffing issue, or if we were just unlucky with how our food came out in such a random order, or maybe other tables were dealing with the same thing. the food is ok, but as a whole experience this is just not worth the price. i will not be returning to this place. read more

I went to this restaurant on 9/15/26. I was celebrating my retirement. I ordered appetizers for my meal since they were 1/2 off. I got violently sick. I thought it was from the chicken wings. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager. He said he would refund me for the appetizers. It never occurred. I was the only person who ate the appetizers. Everyone else was fine with their meals. The next day I ate the leftover potato skins and got violently ill again. I never received my refund which should have been$22.69 plus tax. I am extremely disappointed in the manager, obviously he doesn't care about his customers, their business, their experiences or their health. All he had to do was refund me and I would have never wrote this review. He is a liar telling me that he would refund me. Poor management! Don't eat here! read more

I decided to bring my boys for a late lunch so I made reservations through OpenTable since it does get busy Eve though the restaurant is pretty big inside. Ambiance is always nice. Our server, Stacy was wonderful, super attentive and made sure my boys had warm molasses bread right away they loved it! The food and service was great! Everything came out in good time. Here's a Tip for anyone who decides to come to eat. I recommend you download the Black Angus app and sign up because they offer coupons and discounts that make the experience even better. Wow, all I can say is wow. Stopped by again at Black Angus and decided to try some of their appetizers and barbecue chicken for my main entree. Everything was delicious, especially the grilled artichoke appetizer, omg! I will go home and dream about this one. And the employees are all very positive and upbeat and seem to be on their game! Came her for the campfire feast for 2 on a Friday dinner. I was excited for the grilled artichoke appetizer. Unfortunately it was no longer available... again! I was sadden but I moved on munching on their molasses bread and butter to slab on my bead it was good to start. Then we tried Burnt End Avocado Dip appetizer which was fire. Then my main was prime rib on medium rare with rice and loaded baked potato. Unfortunately, I didn't receive my rice and my baked potato had a hair. The service was slow and had to wait a little while, but they finally came with my rice and gave me a new loaded baked potato. I am asian and can't eat my steak without rice. I feel the steak had better quality in the past. Still good but can be better. I miss the dimmed lights cozy atmosphere. Wish there were option for people who want to be seated with dimmed lights for romantic vibe. It's pretty lit up bright all the time now. I was shocked to see the dessert menus are now mostly from Cheesecake Factory. I felt the dessert menu in the past were also better back then. I just miss the old Black Angus the way it was when I was a kid. I did not see molten lava cake anymore. It felt little weird to see dessert from Cheesecake Factory at Black Angus. First time here this month, we tried the dinner for 2 for $69 wasn't bad at all. There was a $6 up charge for the filet so it came to $81 + drinks. The dinner came with your choice of 1 starter, 2 entrees w/2 sides each, and 1 dessert. We liked the crab cakes and the chocolate cake was the best. The service was ok since we did come around 7 pm. We arrived early, 3:30 to an almost empty restaurant. The hostess took our name and had us wait 15 minutes for a table. Once seated, a server took care of us right away, brought additional menus and took our drink order. We also ordered appetizer (cheesy garlic bread) that we hoped to eat with our salad. Salad eventually arrived (great house salad, would be better if served on a chilled plate), without the bread, which arrived about 10 minutes after we finished our salad. Appetizer shows up (very yummy), then we wait for something to eat with the bread. About 15 minutes later, our steaks show my. My $40 rib eye was perfectly cooked medium and delicious. My guest's $30 top sirloin was ordered medium well. There wasn't a shade of pink anywhere in sight. He was too hungry to send it back. He said it was favorable and chose not to complain. Service improved after food was served, our server checked in on us at appropriate times. We were surprised with the 3% service charge, which I guess is to cover credit card fee. We had cash but weren't offered the option. I guess it's a new California thing. Bottom line, we were warned in advance about slow service so weren't disappointed. Food was excellent except his overcooked steak, 2-3 minutes to long. Great flavors. My espresso martini was delicious. My second cocktail Strawberry Lemon Drop was ordered off the Happy Hour menu should have been $6. We were charged $9.50 on our bill. (not sure it had any vodka in it). My friends and I walked in and went to sit in the bar area because there was nobody at the host stand or in the lobby to greet us. To make sure we were doing the right thing, we asked an employee who was walking by if it was open seating. He told us it wasn't, but instead of helping us or directing us to a host, he simply kept walking. We went back to the lobby expecting someone to assist us, but again, nobody acknowledged us. We stood there waiting for about 15 minutes without a single employee checking on us or offering help. At that point, we looked at each other and decided to leave. It was disappointing because this situation could have easily been avoided with basic customer service. A simple greeting or a few seconds of assistance would have made all the difference. I absolutely LOVE Black Angus! The food is always delicious, and we typically dine there every two weeks. The staff is amazing, and Veronica, the manager, is always pleasant. She consistently stops by our table to check on us and make sure we're enjoying our meal, which is greatly appreciated. The reason I gave 3 stars instead of 5 is because of the air conditioning. During our most recent visit, (last night) it felt uncomfortably warm inside the restaurant. I honestly felt like I was in a sweatshop. I felt especially bad for the staff, as everyone appeared to be sweating while trying to provide excellent service. I'm not sure why Black Angus corporate is allowing both customers and employees to endure these conditions. The food and service remain outstanding, but the lack of adequate air conditioning significantly impacted our dining experience. Extremely Disappointing and Unsanitary Experience We visited Black Angus today to celebrate my mom's birthday, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. First, there was a cockroach crawling on the seat next to us, which was absolutely disgusting and beyond unacceptable. When we pointed it out, the staff acted surprisingly calm -- as if this wasn't the first time -- and only offered to move us to another table and take $20 off the bill. That's it. Honestly, I was so grossed out I almost threw up. On top of that, the service was terrible. I ordered my toddler's meal first, before anyone else's, thinking it would come out early -- but instead, they brought the appetizers and drinks first, and my child's food didn't come until much later. We didn't get any check-ins or refills, and it really felt like the staff didn't care. For a place that's supposed to be family-friendly and a good spot for celebrations, this was an absolute disaster. My husband and I came in before the dinner rush on 8/1/26. Our server Natalie started out very pleasant with us. She took our order. I order a cocktail and appetizers. My husband order a Cobb salad with a side of ranch. The food was okay. It took over 30 minutes to get Cobb salad. However, patrons that came after us were seated and given their full steak and baked potato entrees before my husband's Cobb salad. We finally received the Cobb salad. I asked was there a reason the Cobb salad took so long compared to full steak entrees. Apparently, I shouldn't ask questions. Natalie advised me that she can't control the chef. I told her if you are serving (even the bread) to other guest seated after us that has nothing to do with the chef. You're making the choice to serve others before us and we've been here 10 minutes before they came. Instead of taking accountability or apologizing for a mix up, she decided to say she's not going to argue with me.
