I LOVE chilis! There are so few good choices of restaurants in Helena, so at least we have chilis. The wait staff is always so nice and attentive. I struggle finding a large portion of delicious food generally in Helena, especially with a whole family, but chilis has the BEST STEAK FAJITAS. My favorite. They come out on a steaming cast iron skillet sizzling with all the fixings to make your own. And the stir fry vegetables are so great! It's really a nice place, one side has a full bar and tables and the other is the regular restaurant. I took a picture of the fajitas, you'll probably want to come get some. I recommend them! This location has improved so much. Over the few months, this location has seriously gotten so much better. The servers are friendlier (at least for the most part), it's kept clean, and the food is tasty. Chili's is one of our favorites while we're driving through Helena these days. And when it comes to scoring a good deal, my husband and I love the 3 for Me menu. My go-to is the Cajun Shrimp Pasta. I will say, we've come here in the past and the food was severely lacking in flavor. If cardboard ever took on a pasta shape, you would've been able to order it. The last several times we've visited, the food was tasty! I especially love the cheese pulls I get from my loaded potato soup. If your bad experience made you stray away previously, try again. The perfect pasta was the best pasta I have had in a very long time. Me and my family were here and were looking for a place to eat and we found chilis. Once when we sat down the waiter was already there taking drink order. I decided to get an appetizer I got the southwestern egg roll it tasted very good, also it came out very quick. After we were down with the appetizer I got the perfect pasta. This pasta was so good that I decided That this was a top tier pasta. This is a review post recent changes to management and staff. The last few years have been rough for Chilis in Helena. So much so I stopped even bothering to go there for a couple years. Through my business I had spoken to one of the new managers and was told that they were empowered to get the restaurant headed back in the right direction. I've been roughly a half dozen times since then. And it seems as though it's headed in the right direction Apps, drinks and food has been good each and every time. Some of our dinner guests are picky due to allergies and they have left happy as well as their specialized order has been done right. Thank you and Kudos to the new management. Very disappointed with service and food at this location. After we got sat it took 20 minutes for our server to come get drinks. It wasn't full house, in fact it was not busy at all. By the time the server came to us we knew what we wanted to eat. She didn't check on us for drinks or how appetizers tasted, neither our food when we got it, I think we got checked on one time throughout the night. Then again a while went by and we had to flag her down for boxes. And again we had to flag her down for the check. Very un-impressed with the ambiance of the place as servers just kept walking past us not asking if we need anything or if we've been helped yet. Food wasn't great either, meat wasn't cooked fully and generally didn't taste very good. If I could rate this experience 0 stars, I would. Hopefully some things change as Chillis is used to be one of my favorite places to eat. read more

We were wanting to have an early dinner as we were out for much of the day. It was a fairly empty place when we came so it was a surprise that it took a long time for the food to come out. Good thing we had the bottomless chips, but that also means you've eaten mostly chips. We ordered the triple dipper and although impressive photos in the menu, when it came out it was just a "whomp whomp." I wouldn't have expected any more though from chain restaurants like this. I would avoid the boneless chicken wings and just go with the crispers as you get more meat. The sliders were also underwhelming. The honey chipotle sauce was a bit spicy and glad it was on the side. I did get a chance to take a bite of the waffles with the Honey Chipotle crispers were quite good though. Crispy and sweet. I would suggest getting this and perhaps have the honey chipotle sauce on the side. Overall, since it was my niece's birthday dinner and her choice, I had to go, but unless you're really craving Chili's then you're better off going to another establishment for dinner. read more

1 -Star because I had to to post this. The food was absolutely terrible. We ordered the vegetables and shrimp fajitas and the veggies were a black bean patty that was chopped up on onions and peppers that weren't even fajitas style. The fajitas were not even sizzling. The corn tortillas came out wrapped in tin foil. We paid $18.49 for something that I wouldn't have served this food to John Dutton's enemies. We got excited to go to chilis because of the guacamole, chips, and salsas. These were about the only thing that was somewhat good. I was charged for soda water on the gun, yet on the paper the fork and knife came in it said free non alcoholic drink all day!! I thought a soda water on the gun was non alcoholic. So all in all, we paid $36 for guacamole, chips and salsa, terrible fajitas, a margarita and a soda water! We have been going to chili's for 20 plus years in Florida and around the country and never have experienced such a disappointing meal. If this place wants to stay in business, they better start providing great food and even better customer service. I have decided that I will never go to a Chili's again due to this experience. Also, this chilis has only 2 stars and I see why. To bad that this is what it has come to. The worst every. Please don't reach out to make this better because I have no want to patronize this company. I felt like I wasted $42 of my hard earned money!!! What a cluster. Last night was a really bad night or they have no business being in business. Friday night and had no problem to expect a crowd and wait time. So we went to the bar to order a drink while waiting for a table. All I can hear is the bartender tell other servers that he cannot fill drink orders because he has no clean glasses. Next someone comes out of the kitchen with a bag of styrofoam cup and tells the bartender to use them. Of course he is like "what" yes the district manager said so. Then I watched a "to go" order show up and bartender asked what name or order #. Girl responded I don't know. And walked away. Get to a table and thankfully our server was a little more on the ball. Still had glitches, my "steamed broccoli " was not steamed. Someone needs to get a grip on this place. read more

Placed an order for curbside pickup. Showed up at restaurant. Waited outside for more than 30 minutes after checking in. Finally called and they took 5 minutes to answer. I asked about the status of our order. She said they were understaffed and she had no idea when my order would be ready as there were many in front of me. I asked her to cancel our order and refund our payment. She said I had to do that myself and promptly slammed the phone on me. There app states I have to call the store to cancel. Pretty disappointing reviews and you would think the management would do something about it I can't comment on the food because we never got that far. One of the reasons people are going back to restaurants is they see that the establishments have gone out of their way to ensure cleanliness. Before anyone thinks I am being too critical let me ask a question for thought. Would one not expect that the outside of a glass or the handle of tableware to be absolutely clean, even if those parts never touche your mouth? Of course, and they were clean at Chiles. However, on every table rests some sort large credit card machine that stays there for your entire meal, more or less in the middle of where you eat. It would be necessary to touch that when paying, much like one would touch the outside of a glass. It was filthy, and I mean filthy. Finger marks covered the entire machine front and back, grease and who knows what ele. If anyone of the people before you had anything transmissible, good luck. No excuse for that sort of filth in a middle of your dining experience. We left in a hurry when the server said it had to remain there after I told her to remove it. read more

Everything we ordered or delivery was very dry we got fajitas ribs and a brisket. It was all burnt and cold and insanely dry even though it was drenched in barbecue sauce. Overpriced, only got 4 items and paid around 50 bucks. Definitely not worth it. They were also out of cheesecake. read more

In a mostly empty restaurant. And never an explanation or apology for a near hour wait for food. No refills came for our drinks, though we asked. Where else can you get a soda, soup or salad, and a bacon burger with fries for $11? Get the 3 for 11 deal, even at dinner time, and you get all that. I've been here about 10 times now, and it's, by far, the best value in town. The food is high quality and there are times where it's not too busy. Just be nice to the staff; don't mess this place up for me, it's my hangout spot now. :) Both the southwest chicken and the enchilada soups are really, really good. The potato one is good, too; haven't tried the chili, ironically. I just don't like chili that much, but I always come back for the burgers and soups. They have a nice strawberry lemonade drink, too. It's nice because they have a bar section if you want to watch sports, or the restaurant area if you want to vibe with the upbeat music. Cons: I didn't like the lunch burger; just get the bacon burger or one of the specialty burgers. I don't recommend you order from the kitchen after 8:30, the kitchen staff stop serving soup and the quality seems to diminish just before they close the kitchen at 9, so I go for lunch/dinner. We got to Chili's around 1:20pm and ordered right away (about 1:25) . Our burgers didn't come out until 2:10 and the place was not busy at all. I didn't get what I ordered (got fries instead of corn in the cob) The corn on the cob was cold once I got it and it took 10 minutes after we got out food before we were served napkins. (We asked when food arrived). We politely waived to see if we could get a drink refill and nobody ever came. I gave one star because the burgers were tasty- that's about it. The best thing I can say about this Chili's is that it is never very crowded. So when looking for a place to accommodate two small kids and three adults, one with a wheelchair, it's always easy to get a spot. That's it. I have had meals here ranging from inedible (undercooked chicken and rock hard avocado) to pretty ok. Twice now I have had an experience so bad that they just didn't charge us before we were even able to complain. The last time, our server just ghosted us so I couldn't even ask if it was right. I paid for the chips and the games we bought to keep the kids entertained for the 30-45 minutes we waited for food (or more!), that's all we were charged for. Which is good, as all the food was over done this time around. The undercooked chicken was a different time and not only did they not charge us for that one, the manager sent us home with a dessert to apologize. I'd give them one star if it wasn't for them preemptively making it right when they screw up. I like Chili's as a chain. But this one is better to pass on. read more

It's a Chili's, so you know what you're getting. The restaurant is clean, and the service is friendly. There is a variety of American and Mexican-inspired choices. I like their new enchiladas. The tableside guacamole is also good and comes with chips & salsa. There is the usual Chili's decor, and I always like to see the photos of the chili cookoffs. They have new hand-crafted burgers that are pretty good, and they make garlic pickles in-house. The pickles are crunchy, garlicky and have a little bit of a kick to them. Tasty! read more

Really Dirty....the doors have the finish worn off, handles were loose., men's toilet door was hanging on broken hinges, upholstery worn and torn, and many of the staff were not "well kept "...the hostess in particular was not ready to be greeting customers...pleasant but not the best clean look I expect.
