Not as good as most Chili's. Whole restaurant felt like it needed to be cleaned. The restaurant was uncomfortably cold. Bartender had an open energy drink can behind the car she was drinking from - didn't think that was within code?? This Chili's is very bad. The food is very bad now. Have eaten here multiple times over the past year and every time it has been very disappointing. Order has been gotten wrong, chicken has been like rubber or under cooked, plates have been dirty, found hair in food on one occasion. This used to be a decent place 3yrs ago but isn't any longer. Chili's in Hobbs is great, my food is always perfect and hot. The managers are friendly and always helpful. I come back every time.

Cajun Chicken Pasta is always a good choice. Happy hour appetizers are a good deal. Service has definitely improved.

I'm not a fan of chili's in general,but this location took the cake for chain restaurant disappointments. Being one of the very few places to go out to eat here in Hobbs it became the default location for my 21st bday dinner. Instead of a fun night out we got a bored/annoyed server who kept forgetting our food and almost didn't serve me drinks even after acknowledging it was my 21st birthday. Took her 10 mins to find and ask the manager,who looked annoyed that she even had to ask, i it was ok...on top of that the appetizers were cold , my veggie burger was hard as a rock and no kitchy birthday songs :( my favorite part of birthday dinners. My roommate and i still had a grand enough time despite all the shitty service, mostly because the bar tender was nice n heavy handed with the alchy so I know where i'll be sitting if i ever do choose to return read more

I hate being lied to but when a manager does it it just licks the red off my candy. My wife and I have been goin to this Chili's since they opened. We have ordered iced tea in glass mugs every time we go. The last time we went the manager informed is that it is illegal to serve non-alcoholic drinks in Glassware. I guess, next to Pacific Rim, this is one of the decent places in town. There's a wait usually at nighttime because, again, it's one of the decent restos in town. The servers are nice. I've been to the Chili's here in Hobbs twice. The mango margarita and mango iced tea is not that good. My boyfriend got the raspberry margarita, and that was good. We've had the onion strings twice, which is good, but so unhealthy. The entrees are not that awesome. I don't even remembered what I ordered. I must have deleted it from memory because it wasn't that good. The strawberry cheesecake is okay, especially after you've had sweet and greasy food; it's just the right amount of sweet, but it's not creamy. I guess I shouldn't have expected something like Cheesecake Factory's. The molten chocolate, which is considered a Chili's favorite, is really good. I guess I'll come back here again, especially it's only one of the decent places to eat in town. read more

Worst Chili's ever! I came to dine in for one, walk straight to the bar to have a water and dinner to bypass hogging up a full table. I got booted from the bar in the most disrespectful manner. I asked for my water, I got carded by the waitress who said in a snobby fashion "no, I need to see your ID before I give you anything!" Like wtf? I didn't know you had to be 21 just to sit at a bar to enjoy a freaking meal! (Found out that it's the law in New Mexico, I'm from Texas) She could've told me in a way more respectful way to inform me of the law. The manner in which this waitress did so was completely un professional; borderline prejudice to be blunt. What killed me is that I'm now currently sitting literally 6 feet from the initial spot at said bar. It makes no sense, but whatever. First time trying this chili's, thought we couldn't go wrong with a good chain restaurant, but we were wrong. It was 3:00 hardly anyone in there. Waitress acted like she was rushed, messed up our order and the food was the worst I've had at a chili's. Fajitas were barely cooked, the peppers and onions were still completely raw. This place is a typical chili's. Once bww opened up this place wasn't as packed as it was before. We're usually there during happy hour (must sit in bar area) otherwise we take advantage of the 2 for $20 deals. Love the chocolate chip paradise pie!! read more

First off they get one star because the food was decent. Hot and fresh. The server was nice but very forgetful. I had to ask Annette three times for sweet and low, and all the servers were to busy standing in the corner messing around to pay attention to any of their customers. We decided to order 3 shots of patron. It took nearly 15 minutes to get them. They didn't come till after we were already eating our entrees. (they were ordered with the appetizer). They came and they were awful. The bartender poured two shots into the shaker and made three watered down shots out of it. We told our server we had not asked for them chilled so she sent the manager over. She basically told us there wasn't anything she would do about it because we had drank them. So she sent the GM over. Justin I believe. He was very rude to us and said "You can either pay for them or I will call the police" I said very loudly "call the police because we are dissatisfied with our drinks?" The entire restaurant looked at him as I continued to say "this is the management here?" Without a word he abruptly walked away and took our drinks off the bill. I'm not sure whether they deserve 3 stars, had a good turkey sandwich & nice cold draft beer, accompanying French fries were fresh and crispy. I live in hobbs and I have got to say, this place has the worst service in town! The food (when cooked right which is 20% out of the time i have been there) is great. The first time we went was on my 19th birthday it took them 20 min to seat us ( which is fine) then another 20 min for an employee to even acknowledge us after all of that we recived our food. My husban had ribs and i had the nachos. THE NACHOS CAME OUT TO ME BURNT. I procced to ask for the manager. He showed up 30 min later and i told him my probloms and he said "we are short staffed sorry" and walked away. I asked the waitress for a new nacho after another 30 min they came out and we asked for the bill ( i think it was 32 somthing). The second time was just as bad this time we had the waitress blow us off we asked for the manager again and it was the same guy so i told him about this experiance and the last. In Hobbs, Chili's and Applebee's are the same. The food and service is average at best but erratic. It is very loud, when it is busy; especially in the bar. You can hardly hear you are trying to talk to. On the weekends there is often a considerable wait. If it is game day, people are yelling and screaming and often intoxicated. After about 8 or 9pm, it is definitely for the younger crowd. read more

Can't report much on the food because we actually never got to eat here. My husband and I walked in one afternoon between 2-3 pm. Kind of an "off" time for most restaurants as the lunch crowd is finished and dinner crowd not off work. Most places in Hobbs very busy because lack of quality restaurants. It seems we are the town of chain businesses. That said, Hobbs, in general, must also lack people who know how to work in the service industry. We stood at the seating station for nearly 15 minutes before we left. The bar had 5 customers sitting there and the dining room had 2 four tops. The rest of the tables ( approximately 10 to 12? ) were left uncleared and no one attempted to clean any of them off in the 15 minutes we stood there. The bar tender looked at us a minimum of 2 times but never called for a hostess or another employee to seat us. As far as we could tell, there were a number of wait staff available but congregating in the kitchen. 1 server came out 3 times, ignored us on the way to and way back from waiting on the two tables in the dining room. I will never go back to Chilis in Hobbs. Will probably have to try it in some other one horse town. read more
