This place used to be our favorite family restaurant to go to but it has gone downhill terribly, and after tonight we won't be going back. The service was terrible and the food not much better. It took forever to get my water refilled (my husbands beverage never was), my sons macaroni and cheese tasted like it had been made the day before and reheated, I was brought a salad with the incorrect dressing mixed in and not on the side as I had ordered & their response was that they would get me a side of the dressing I ordered to put on top of the other dressing already mixed in. (sent it back), came out rare- only managed 2 bites... w/loaded mash (freshly scooped out of the steamer trays im sure) and steamed brocc (way over cooked)... Overall service was great... but the food was nothing special... borderline gross! The reason it gets a 3/5 instead of 0/5 is because the manager payed for my steak. I have also worked in a place like this... and i know what to expect when i dine at such an establishmemt. read more

We had a gift card for Chili's. We went in and our waitress was fabulous. We ordered an "Apps Triple". The food was good and came out in a timely fashion. The problem is the music. It was inappropriate for kids. It was loud, very loud and it was rap. When you looked around the restaurant there was No One under 40! I asked one of the younger waitresses to turn it down and then I had 3 wait people peeking around the corner so they could see who was complaining. The music is not directed at the customers obviously but the workers. What a shame. If you're a parent that cares what goes in your kids ears avoid this restaurant! Everyone who knows me knows I love Chili's. It used to be my favorite place to eat out, not anymore! Some time ago they changed their menu, and to my dismay they took off the items I enjoyed the most, including the healthier items like the incredible lettuce wraps. What I want to know is why Restaurants that are a neighborhood favorite decide to change the menu? Marketing is so delicate, because it will either help you win customers or lose them. In this case, Chili's has lost a ticket for a family of five. My family would typically eat at Chili's at least 3 times a month. I even had a waiter the last time I was as Chili's, try and tell me that it had been several months since the menu change. What I found strange was that I had been there about 4 weeks earlier, and at that time the menu was still the same. It was then and there that I decided not to return. My greatest regret is that I have not found a replacement yet to be my favorite eatery. read more

I truly cannot remember the last time I went to Chili's, on Monday evening after going to the movies with my wife it was 9pm and we were hungry. Chili's is on our way home so we decided to give it a try. Since it was late, the restaurant was pretty empty, we quickly were seated and our server came to offer drinks. None of us drink alcohol, so water is what we usually take. I was looking for something on the smaller side and healthy. First thing I noticed is that EVERYTHING on the menu has the caloric intake, which is awesome! You know exactly what you are going to order, it helps make good decisions if you want to, if not you can simply ignore. I ordered the grilled avocado sirloin steak. It came with grilled cherry tomatoes and a side salad. The steak was 6 onces which was perfect not to eat too much that late at night. The steak was perfectly cooked, came with a chimichurri like sauce and the grilled avocado on top. I have recently gone to a couple of "a la carte" steak houses where the fillet is $50 on it's own and the taste and tenderness of this steak was on par with the expensive "aged" steak. The cherry tomatoes were cooked but they were still popped when I bit into them, but the inside was soft and warm. The salad had a nice light dressing on it. I was so impressed with my meal. My wife got 2 fajitas, pork and chicken. She got them with corn tortillas and of course the fajitas were sizzling when they came out, a nice touch. They tasted very good also, especially the pork. Chili's has this amazing 3 course meal for $10, which would have included 1 fajita and it's what my wife would have done if she had seen it earlier, as she could only finish half. The 2 fajitas are a lot of food already. We didn't try any desserts again because it was late. Our server was great, always coming back to ask if we needed anything. We've had a lot of visitors lately so we have been going out to eat a lot at "local" restaurants (not chains) and I am so surprised to say Chili's was above and beyond better than any of the local spots, not only with the quality of food but also service! Chili's to me is one of those places that just doesnt excite me. Same with Outback and those that are similar. And it's not because it's a chain restaurant. It would be because the food leaves little if anything to the imagination and I always have a difficult time on what to order. Food should be exciting and when you've seen or had any type of fajita or burger, you've really had them before. They do change their menus, but really what are they changing? But when the choice is not yours to make amongst coworkers, you have to go with the flow. Service here on this day for good, the waiter was funny and patient since he had to deal with a table of 6 people. The food was very hot but I was not at all happy with the chicken & green chili soup, no flavor at all. Luckily I had also order fajitas, and that made up for the soup. My kids took me here for Mother's Day (late review), it was great!! We had an amazing server, unfortunately I can't recall his name. There were 6 adults and 7 children in our party and he took care of us completely on his own! No mistakes and he had the most awesome personality, treated us all so well. This isn't our typical experience with such a large group at many other places we go. We have found our new dinner spot when we are all together!! The food was good too and no major mistakes! When going to a spot like Chili's or Applebee's, in my opinion, you can expect a sub-par visit. This is not far from what happened with my experience with the Chili's off south Hover, when my wife and I went for dinner. Staff, First Impressions: The host could not have been older than 16. He didn't seem to have a grasp on how seating and wait times worked. We were told that our wait would be 15 minutes. We waited for 13 minutes, Not bad right?? I witnessed 5 parties of over 3 people or more leaving and only one party was sat 5 minutes following this. That means that their busing staff needs to get to work. I saw 3 open tables, 2 of them booths, directly in the people waiting's line of sight. Not a very good way to keep customers in house. These tables were already bused and ready for customers. There were 3 other tables that needed to be bused and could have been ready for seating in a matter of minutes. I understand that if you fill house, you put a lot of stress on the kitchen, but NOT in a chain resturaunt where everything is ordered and shipped frozen. If the bus/wait staff had been doing their job, there would have been no wait at all. The establishment was losing money as 2 parties walked out because they didn't want to wait 15 minutes, when you can clearly see open tables. Dining Area: The dining area was lively and comfortable. Families and friends visiting and enjoying their night. Not a loud dining experience by any means. The table we were sat at was not reflective of this overall dining room environment. The ketchup bottle, salt and pepper shakers, and drink menu were very sticky. It felt like I needed purel after putting some pepper on my fries. Our Waiter: This person did not take any pride in his job what so ever. I understand working as waitstaff for minimum wage isn't an ideal job, but if you show some pride in what you're doing, you will have opportunities open before you. This is true at almost any job. After coming to our table for the first time, we were not introduced to our waiter at all, Simply, "can i get you guys started with some drinks tonight?" There was no, "Would you like to hear some drink specials?" or "Welcome to Chili's". After ordering our drinks, I tried to get an order of Southwest egg rolls as an appetizer, but our waiter was already gone. He didn't even make the attempt to ask if we wanted to get an appetizer. After he returned, I ordered our Appetizer. I believe that you should introduce yourself when first before jumping into drink orders. After I asked his name, he went in to his spiel about how he's there to help us and any thing we need, just ask. Was not sincere at all. Every time we needed something at our table, he would walk away without acknowledging our request, (e.g You guys need more drinks?? As we answer he walks away to the kitchen. ) Even when he asked us a question, just walked away without hearing our answer. This wonderful employee's name was Drew by the way. Watch out for this Champion. Food: Our waitstaff service was about as warm and welcoming as your local Waffle House. But the food was excellent. When you get appetizers from a place like this, you expect it to taste frozen, as it is. Our southwest egg rolls did not reflect this. They were crispy, hot, and satisfying. I didn't expect that from frozen food. The spinach inside seemed to be fairly fresh, despite being fried in oil. My wife ordered chicken fajitas. Vegetables were fresh and crispy. The chicken was perfectly cooked. Although the plating was strange. Her salsa, guac, and sour cream came on a large dinner plate. Her rice came alone on a similar plate. Plus the fajita platter? Why so much china? I had a classic bacon burger, cooked medium well. The bacon was crisp, the bread was warm, and cheese was melted. Very Hard to mess this up, I finished the whole thing. Not the best burger ever, but worth the hassle and the wait. OVERALL: Don't expect the world when you go to this place, especially from wait staff. If you can get past the 9000 things that you're not supposed to do in a restaurant, then you ahve a chance of getting a wonderful meal read more

Pretty bad experience. Food took a very long time to arrive. Steaks ordered medium rare turned out to be well done. Waiter could not be summoned to address the problem. Finally got his attention and he said he would take care of it. The replacement steak was correct but it took forever. When the bill came the waiter said he "took care of it" and clearly implied he comped the meal. However the bill showed an extra steak that then was comped. Didn't matter because we would have paid anyway but then he copped an attitude. I asked for the manager who was friendly but kinda condescending as she grabbed the ticket I was going to pay from my hand and wadded it up. While I appreciated her gesture my only desire was to give her feedback about our experience. Her actions just made our dining experience worse. We won't be back. read more

They didn't include the extra tortillas I ordered for my fajitas and there was juice all over everything they just threw in the box. I'm not surprised this restaurant only has 3 stars. Customer service is very important. I manage a fine dining establishment and I was horribly disappointed with the way my daughter and I were treated today. When we arrived at 1 we stood up front without a greeting for about 5 minutes. When someone finally came over she said " two today"... No hello, no smile, not friendly at all. I said yes two and she grabbed 2 menus and took off so fast to the table that my daughter and I couldn't keep up. I was told her name is Lynn. Lynn put the menus on the table and walked away before we even got to the table. When we got there I realized that table wouldn't work for us. I walked around to find her. When I finally found her she was eating food and chatting with a co-worker behind the line. I said excuse me 3 times before I finally actually had to walk behind the line to get her to acknowledge me. I asked her if we could get another table. She said the other half of the restaurant was closed and we couldn't sit over there. Then She rolled her eyes with a big sigh, went over and grabbed the menus off one table and slammed them on to another table without saying a word to us. Again She walked away before we got to the table. I was forced to walk around again to find someone that could help me find a booster seat. I ended up finding them myself and bringing it to my daughter. By this time we were already having a horrible time. It's a good thing our server was so nice and professional because we were about to just leave. We come in at least once a week. The host is everyone's first impression when coming here to eat. She sets the tone for the experience. I watched her tell at least 3 other tables they couldn't move because the other half of the restaurant was closed during lunch hours. 2 other tables began their lunch with sour tastes in their mouth because of her bad attitude. I really hope they replace Lynn with someone who smiles and likes to do their job and be nice to people. It would be so much better for buisness. I loved my server though. read more

On 10/18 we ordered a large "to go" order. They forgot the soup which needed to be picked up the next night. When I picked it up I asked the Manager if he would add a free slice of cheese cake for the inconvenience of coming back. I was told abruptly, "NO MAMM"...I then stated ok, there are plenty of other places to dine in Longmont and his response was "OK"! He told me it was the responsibility of the gentleman who picked it up to check the order to make sure everything is correct.
