Came up to Longmont to visit my mother-in-law, and she took us to Chili's. This isn't really a food review because... Chili's gonna Chili's. This review is for Eva and Alicia. Eva was training Alicia, and they were both so great! Eva struck the perfect balance of being fun and patient. She was constantly encouraging Alicia, pointing out what a great job she was doing, and creating such a positive atmosphere. Exactly the kind of person you want training new employees. I always get overwhelmed at chain restaurants. The menus are huge, and everything starts sounding the same. Eva recommended her favorite way to customize one of the salads, and it ended up being exactly what I wanted. The two of them had us laughing all evening. They were laughing right along with us, and they turned what could have been just another chain restaurant dinner into a genuinely memorable night. Have been to this Chilies a number of times. While service has generally been friendly and food decent in the past, the service has taken a turn for the worse. Went there the other day for an early dinner and was told there was a 15 minute wait to be seated anywhere in the restaurant. There were plenty of open tables. When I asked why I was curtly told there was a 15 minute wait. Asked if it was a lack of employees and was told the kitchen was backed up. This while she was still leaning against the wall. She apparently didn't appreciate being asked questions. Don't understand why seating us at an open table and letting us order a margarita and chips while we waited for "kitchen backup" to resolve itself Wouldn't make more sense. Seems like training the management and front of house is in order. A Saturday evening and the place was near empty. read more

Came in for an appetizer and drinks. Ordered the triple dipper. Sliders were not cooked all the way through which was the start. The chicken in the dipper was not seasoned at all. Had to pair it with fries just to get the seasoning. Best part was when the waitress spilled my wife's alcohol drink, said sorry and walked away. Never even cleaned up the damn table leaving ice and the drink all over. Let alone replace her drink. So yes, we left a very minimal tip, as the service sucked. The food quality has gone down and the menu has removed some cheaper items. Seriously, $5.99 for a side salad?? In a tiny bowl?? Get your crap together Chilis. I wish I could write something positive about this restaurant because we used to love their food. Over the last couple years the quality has fallen off. Pickup or delivery orders are often overcooked, or just have missing items -- this has happened on several orders. Last night we ordered the 16 piece boneless chicken nuggets with two sauces (plus dipping sauce). It arrived with no sauce on the chicken. Just dry, breaded chicken nuggets that I could have gotten from the frozen section in any supermarket. Also, no dipping sauce was included. For an $18 dish, that was pretty unforgivable. It appears there is no quality control anymore and management cares little about what's being given to customers. Anyway, point of the story is that we won't use this restaurant again. It's sad..... it used to be good. Perhaps if you are seated in the restaurant you might have a better chance of getting the correct order cooked properly. read more

We then put in our food order and we sat for over an HOUR waiting for our food. We didn't order anything complicated and it has never taken this long at any other Chilis. Today a young female person came into the restaurant as we were finishing up with her dog and let the dog get up on the booth seat next to her and the dog was resting its chin on the table. Perhaps it was a service dog but of course no vest on it and any kind of service dog would sit on the floor next to its own we. This was a small lap dog. This will be my last visit to this restaurant. I tried to address this to an employee but it was a very busy time of the day and tried to call to talk to a manager but no one ever came to the phone. Remember happy customers don't usually leave reviews! I was shocked to see their rating when coming to leave one myself. Rhino about how many customers they have a day... I would not let the bad reviews steer you away!! We do not eat out often at all. Took a chance at chilis as we had a dusty gift cards.. well, dined in first night and our ribeye, ribs, jalepeno sausage, fries, mashed potato's, street corn, black berry lemonade and cookie dessert were ALL amazing and Cooked just right. Medium rare ribeye was infact, medium rare!! Next night we were thinking about our 2nd choices and got it TO GO, and even after a 24 min drive home, our Cajun chicken pasta, chicken fajitas, fries queso and chips and salsa were all BOMB. And getting to go anywhere is sketchy. Aside from the food, every single person we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. "Better food and cooler people" really livin to the rating here! If you like dirty dishes and terrible service, this is the place to be! Those wooden fajita boards that you get your food on? never cleaned. Just wiped down. With a rag. They get tossed all over the floor and walked on, and their reasoning is that if they wash them, they would have to buy more, even though they are burned, flaky pieces of wood to begin with. They'd rather save money than clean those wooden boards for your fajitas, queso, and deserts.. which is a HUGE risk of bacteria cultivation and spreading. If you took a black light to one of these boards, it would look like a jackson pollock painting. Also there is a long wait all of the time because they are chronically understaffed, and hemorrhage employees like an open wound due to their terribly "un-inclusive fraternity atmosphere". 1/5 never eating there again. (Also, the menus are never cleaned, ever. No one ever wipes them down or runs them under a sink, its about a few years worth of grease and germs on those menus) read more

I went to this chilis with my party of five for lunch. I ordered the big mouth crispy chicken sandwich and ate some quality chips while I waited. When my big mouth crispy chicken sandwich arrived the first thing I noticed was that the amount of secret sauce was INTENSE. When I bit into it I mostly tasted the sauce, which was okay, but there was way too much, would have been much better with less. Anyway the buns and chicken were getting soggy and at that point I couldn't even finish my big mouth crispy chicken sandwich. The best part was the potato chip filled Reese's peanut butter cup, the only problem was that I brought that myself. My wife and I visited this past weekend. We shared the three meat BBQ plate. The food was good, but it didn't come with any BBQ sauce. Maybe the waitress forgot it. I asked her if we could get some BBQ sauce for our BBQ'd meats and she said she would bring us some. She brought us one of those little black cups (about an ounce?) With BBQ sauce in it. However the last two times I've ordered online through Chili's own website an hour or two in advance of the time I want I end up waiting 30+ minutes and it hasn't been ready when I get there. They are far more focused on their door dash orders then their customers coming straight to them. Losing my interest if this continues. Absolutely horrible. I got the shrimp and chicken fajitas both meats were slimy and tasted like I was slurping them from a dogs ass. Everything was horrible even the damn chips were horrible they were so salty you had to dip them in water before dipping them in salsa. Chilis use to be good and one of the places we could always count on for some food everyone could agree on. I will never step foot in this place again. Not to mention the booths in the bar area smelled like what I would imagine in between a fat ladies rolls smell like. I have been to Chili's for 20+ years. Order the same thing every time. Fajita trio without peppers, as I'm allergic. Never had an issue. Ordered dinner tonight, they say they can't do without peppers as it's all made together and it's not feasible to pull out the peppers. Both my son and I had sirloin steak with broccoli and mashed potatoes. If I'm gonna pay steak house prices I would like a steak that is cooked on a grill and not a flat top. As far as Chili's goes, this location has come a long way from where it was several years ago. The food used to be rather bland and small in portions for the price, but now it seems like everything has improved dramatically. The portions are pretty large and the flavoring in the food itself is actually pretty good for a mainstream location. The pricing is still a bit high for what it is I think, but with some endless options and free chips and salsa returning, you can at least help to offset some of the cost for a larger table. The inside of the place is also usually kept pretty clean, I have never really found any issues with finding body parts or anything abnormal in or around my food. Occasionally get dirty silverware, but I think that is just inherent in a high traffic restaurant like this. The staff always quickly and happily replaces it with a clean set. The only real downside I ever have here is the staff itself. It is really hit or miss as to what kind of server you will be getting. Sometimes they are amazing and exactly what I expect, and then the other times I would rather just leave and go eat somewhere else. Wrong orders, incredibly long wait times, no drink top offs, etc... Overall though, I really do enjoy the food here and coming here with any combination of friends and family. Good for kids or just a night out with a loved one. read more

Usually I would recommend this place but the last few times we ordered to go they've screwed up our order. Yesterday we ordered a 2 for $25 meal. We got fajitas which came with four containers of cheese. No pico no guacamole no sour cream just cheese. My broccoli was undercooked and had black spots all over it.
