I strongly recommend management get involved with cleaning this place because the plastic mug that I was served iced tea in was the most unsanitary thing I've ever seen. It had a film on it that streaked and wouldn't wipe off of the glass no matter how many times I tried. I didn't order an entrée after the having to ask for a clean glass from the bar. Went in to celebrate with my wife, we like to just drop in have a drink with chips and salsa every now and then. My wife realized after she got to the bottom of her drink that the glass was dirty and there was a used sweetener packet in the bottom. we sat at the bar tonight like normal but it was a busy day for our bartender Brandon. Black Friday shoppers probably stopped here for the last two days since it is located in the parking lot of the mall. He was very nice, fast, and an excellent server. He worked his butt off to take care of the full bar but still gave us excellent service. We gave him a huge tip and told him he rocks!!! I hope other people appreciated his service as well. This was my first time ever at Chili's and I can say that I will never be back. The drinks were water down and the presentation of the food looked NOTHING like the pictures on the menu. I got a bbq combo platter and the sausage tasted horrible! The ribs were mediocre as well as the brisket. They drowned the bread in some kind of seasoning? It was dry. The only great thing were the fries. My mom got a pasta and hers definitely looked nothing like the picture on the menu. The lady at the bar who took our order was nice. Soon as we got taken to our table by the hostess the table was already dirty, when she came back with a rag she didn't even clean it off probably and there was still food left on the table and all she did was wipe the crumbs onto the chairs. Had to go back up to ask and didn't respond so grabbed the rag myself and finished her job for her. The manager was right there as well and saw the whole thing and didn't say a thing. It was not very busy on a Tuesday evening, but that didn't stop it from taking nearly 20 minutes to even get our order taken, wait about an hour before we actually got food, and mine was terrible, then never got a refill, and waited a long time for the check.  The server was pleasant enough but was new, and its obvious the problems here go deeper than a new hire trying to learn the ropes of a new job.  I made sure he got a reasonable tip because it wasn't his fault that this restaurant is horribly mismanaged, he seemed like a nice young guy who was trying his best. read more

I've been coming to Chili's at Mid River Mall for over 2 years. They have great food, great service, and great deals. Try their 3 for 10.99 with a soda, appetizer, and an entree. Well... my family just walked out after sitting there for 27 minutes with out even getting someone to take a drink order!!! Was seated in first seat to the right by window. Server came over 7 minutes ago and said she would be right with us then we see her going to a different table who just got seated. Absolutely amazing. My daughter had left her retainer at our table and about an hour later she remembered and we rushed back. We had been told an employee named John had been digging threw all the trash cans looking for it. About 20 minutes later he came and had found her retainer! And the crazy thing is, is that her retainer is extremely small! I'm amazed that this AMAZING worker had been able to find it. He even took the time to dig threw 2 whole trash cans. Meegan our server was an absolute amazing server!!! She was diligent and patient and attentive to our needs! She was a huge problem solver and consummate professional! All the wait staff worked as a team to get us our order in a quick manner. I have a note to send about the hostess staff. They treated us like we didn't belong there and as if we were a problem to be seated. We have a family of 7 total people-5 children and 2 adult parents. They had us wait for almost 40-50 minutes even though there were several empty tables. I had called ahead to determine whether we needed to make reservations, I was told it was first come first serve basis and they weren't taking names. We got there and gave them our name and was told we had a 15-20 minute wait. We used the rest room and saw several tables a few that needed to be bussed. I figured they probably needed to be cleaned and that was the reason for the wait. I asked after our window of time had passed why there was a wait and was told they were hoping a large table of people that was having a birthday party would leave and then they'd have a table for us. Never had that been told to us. Plus they seated several people who showed up after us. After we were upset and said we were going to leave, Meegan came out and said she would get us a table and be her pleasure to serve us. The hostess never once apologized or anything. The "large table" was still there having their party after we ate dinner and paid. It is clear to me that the hostess had no intention of giving us a table. If Meegan had not stepped in, we would not have had dinner at Chile's that evening. It was very disheartening but we enjoyed the food and didn't want to hurt the wait staff and the cook's because of the terrible hostesses. read more

We had a gift card and decided to finally use it. The food was decent, the server was very nice and attentive. The runner was pretty adamant that I check my steak for the proper doneness. The steak was fine but the runner was almost grumpy until I cut into it haha. Definitely an experience there, but we're pretty easygoing so it was a laugh if nothing else. Truthfully, I am really disappointed in Chili's. My best friend and I often frequent here and the food is amazing, I really love the staff, and I always enjoy myself. We visited this last Saturday, had dinner and drinks, it was a good time. I accidentally left my wallet behind at the restaurant. So, naturally, I called on Sunday and the manager on duty had confirmed he found it. I didn't have a chance to go back to retrieve it until yesterday, and the manager then had no idea where it might be. He got word of where it had been, sitting out on the windowsill by the server station instead of in a lost and found or safe or somewhere more secure. So it has gone missing. He reached out to other employees but it still hasn't turned up today either. For a place that I know had my wallet in their posession, I'm very frustrated at how much of a pain it has been to get it back. read more

We've been coming to this chili's for years and always loved it. Lately they've changed the menu and are going for more Tex-mex vibe which is fine, but a lot of the other options have gone away. Service is mediocre at best for the most part. The thing that got me rattled was the soda refills are NOT FREE. I was charged $2whatever for EACH REFILL. Not cool. My 5 star review is mainly because of the fantastic service received. A couple of past co-workers and myself try to meet every couple of months to catch up. For some reason, Chili's happy hour has become our go-to spot. We always share an order of chips and salsa before our meal. The chips are much better than any of the "Mexican restaurants" around - light and crispy. Also, I am a tea freak and absolutely love Chili's blackberry tea. :) This past visit has been my best yet. Our server, Jessi, was phenomenal. She was extremely attentive and went above and beyond during the entire dining experience. I recommend you request her. I know I will be asking for her and hoping she is working the next time I visit. read more
