Average bar food. Service was super attentive though. We kept getting asked if we needed anything on a 3person rotation. Lol. It was just an okay, quick meal.
Normally I don't eat out much during the week and usually save dining out for the weekends, but after an exhausting day, this spot really hit the mark. We came in a little after 6 PM while the happy hour crowd was wrapping up, so the restaurant was definitely busy. Even with the crowd, our party was seated quickly in a booth, and our waiter promptly came over to get our drink orders started. I was craving a really good burger, so I decided to go with the "Old Timer," which comes with a quarter-pound beef patty topped with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and red onions, served alongside fries. I ordered my burger medium well, and this particular franchise definitely knows how to cook to temperature because it came out perfectly done exactly the way I requested. I must've influenced the table because two others in my party ended up ordering the same burger while another person chose the chicken crispers as part of the 3 for Me deal. The deal itself still offers pretty good value, even though the appetizer options used to be a little better in the past. You can choose between chips and salsa, a cup of soup, or a salad. I went with the chicken tortilla soup (which was good in flavor but a tad on the salty side) along with a strawberry lemonade. I normally don't drink my calories, but whenever I come here, the strawberry lemonade is my go-to. When the food arrived, everything tasted fresh to order. The burger was juicy and cooked perfectly, the fries were hot and crispy with a generous serving size, and the strawberry lemonade was refreshing and delicious. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service. Our waiter -- a tall African-American gentleman whose name I unfortunately can't remember -- was excellent the entire evening. He stayed attentive throughout our meal and seemed to appear right on cue anytime one of our drinks got low. If I remembered his name, I would absolutely mention him because he truly deserves recognition for his attentiveness and professionalism. Overall, this was a really great dining experience, especially after such a long day. Between the fresh food, solid service, and comfortable atmosphere, I'll definitely be coming back again.
The service here was top notch. Our server came by many times to check up on us and make sure we were doing okay. The mozzarella sticks are overrated. But the 3 for me deal gives you the best bang for your buck since it comes with so many chips and salsa (if that's what you want).
Stopped by to finally try the Triple Dipper I've been seeing everywhere on social media. I'm not sure if the hype online are honest reviews or if I went on an "off day" because everything we ordered was so salty! The Nashville hot mozzarella sticks in particular were hardly edible. The wings, and tenders were also not good. Based on all the food, would not come back. The only good thing was our server. Service was friendly and got seated quickly on a weekday.
THREE FOR ME (4 stars) ... none for you. What a bang for your buck! - FOOD: Pretty decent! - PRICE: very affordable - SERVICE: great - AMBIANCE: nothing special On a real note, I haven't been to Chili's since my college days (and that was a hot minute ago). Not much has change with the atmosphere, big drinks for cheap price, and good basic fried finger foods. :: ORDER :: THREE FOR ME - pick a beverage, starter, and main. This was an overwhelming meal for a small someone and could easily be shared with another or packed the rest to-go. I don't know how to put it but to say it was, a lot. BIG SMASH BURGER ($10.99) - thousand island, American cheese, diced red onion, pickles, and lettuce - YES comes with fries. This was the cheapest of the "Three for Me" menu item. Ordered this with strawberry lemonade and chips and salsa. There were a variety of drinks and sides to choose from - choose wisely. The burger was a classic burger and not so much of a smash patty burger. The flavor reminded me of a fresher and tastier Big Mac. The bun was on the softer side, the patty had good seasoning, and every bite was satisfying. The fries were good, not too salty nor bland and had a fair crispiness to them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHIPS AND SALSA - I love me some good chip and salsa and this was surprisingly good. The chips were the very thin tortilla chips (exactly how I like them). No broken pieces. Little on the salty side but that can be covered when dipped into the salsa. The salsa was mild - average but why do I find myself like it more than many other salsa's I've tried at other restaurants?! HIGHLY RECOMMEND :: SERVER :: The staff here are so welcoming and nice. Food came out timely. They showed the perfect amount of attentiveness. I liked how they all seem to have fun working with each other. I tipped well because they did a good job! This Chili's deserves a much higher rating!! When going to a chain restaurant, you never know if the one you go to will be clean and well equipped, and this one is truly a gem. It's always incredibly clean -- including the bathrooms. The servers are amazing (very attentive and helpful, going the extra mile like packing up fresh hot chips for you to take or bringing out a new plate if yours had an error -- even one you didn't notice!) and the food is always delicious. (If you're wondering about that "error": my wife ordered surf and turf but only got the steak. We didn't even notice and were happy with the food, but they noticed and instead of just bringing out the "surf" part to complete the plate, they brought a whole new plate and let us have both.) My wife and I go here almost every week as our little local hangout spot. There are always a variety of games playing on the TV and it's a great vibe to relax, eat chips and salsa, drink a $6 margarita, and read my book or play trivia on their little consoles. The margarita of the month is usually very tasty, but even if it's not your thing, they have lots of other cocktails. My favorite food items are the dip trio with salsa and queso, the brisket quesadilla, and the triple dipper when I'm feeling like it with mozzarella sticks, honey chipotle crispers, and big mouth bites or southwestern eggrolls. Whoever is managing this place is doing an incredible job and I hope they never stop!
Chilis near SDSU is a good spot for quick food with your friends or family. Pros: the location being very close to Sdsu makes it a prime spot for quick late night bites or early afternoon food. I've come here a few times and I've gotten seated pretty quickly. I ordered the three for me deal for $11.99. This is a great deal. I unfortunately did not take a picture, but I ordered the burger and it came with fries, soup or salad, and a fountain drink. The people I was with order chips and salsa and Nashville mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were very good as always. The chips and salsa were decent. You could pay for your food with their kiosk tablet thing on the table but if you need help, you can always call a server and they'll be happy to split the bill however you want or to help if the technology doesn't work. Cons: the service here is a hit or miss you can get a really good server that is very fast and helpful, or you get another server who doesn't really tend to your table as often. There are bathrooms inside, but it is quite small and not as clean. The floors are a bit oily and felt like a floor from a Korean barbecue spot. Verdict: Chili's is a good spot for certain occasions I wouldn't expect too much good stuff in service or overall quality you get what you pay for and it's good quick cheap food, which is good for a college student being nearby campus
BB and I have been talking about going back to Chilis for what seems like years. The last time I went to Chilis was over 20 years ago, for reference. She wanted to go to the Mission Valley one, assuming it was nicer than the one on Sports Arena Blvd. In an ironic twist of events, right before we turned into the parking lot, we saw a panhandler who was literally bent over 90 degrees (the fentanyl fold), and upon parking and walking toward the restaurant, an enthusiastic tweeker started yelling "papasan, sifu, sensei!" to me, which I have to admit was hilarious. Entertainment, top notch. Ambience, maybe not so much. We were greeted warmly upon entering and seated promptly. We ordered drinks and then we ordered what seemed to be all the hype, the triple dipper appetizer combo (viral cheese pull) along with a smokehouse combo to share between us. The waitress was very pleasant and provided great service when she was at our tableside, but I wish she would have came by just once more to offer refills instead of us having to flag her down. The food was all just ok. The cheese stick which produces the infamous cheese pull taste like a typical frozen product thrown into a deep fryer, the southwest egg rolls were similarly average. The baby back ribs were more tender than we thought but just average as well. The best parts of the meal were suprisingly the brisket quesadillas (one of the choices from the smokehouse combo), which I would not hesitate to order again. I guess if you ordered the 10.99 burger with side and drink (as well as skimped on the tip), this would be somewhat economical, but after paying around 65 for the both of us after tax and tip, we felt that the hype was not only overrated, but overpriced as well. Not a bad place by any means, but probably won't be adding this to our rotation.
First time at this location and it was for takeout. Cashiers and waiters were really friendly and helpful. Food did not take long to come out. Loved how they had a takeout side strictly for that it made the service quicker and efficient. Ordered the usual triple dipper and old timer smash burger on the 3 for me deal. Opted in fries and chips and dip. Their chips are light and crispy. They added too much salt though as some parts were salty. They literally give you half a whole bag of chips; it's a lot!
First time coming to Chili's! We walked in and it was SUPER busy. We thought we were going to have to wait a long time and we were okay with it but surprisingly we got seated really fast, which was fantastic because we were hungry! I came with my friend and she wanted to try the triple dipper and I wanted mozzarella cheese stick (yes I wanted to see if it would do the cheese put when you bit into it but it didn't LOL) but the flavor of it was good. The rest of her triple dipper she liked and she liked the flavor she chose. I got the Ancho salmon. It was good. Our waitress was wonderful! She came and checked on us several times and asked us if we needed anything and she took our order right away. She was the best! The inside was big. Plenty of seating and lots of TV's so you can watch different sport games at the same time.
Our home base Chili's. Consistently decent. Can't go wrong with the 3 for Me. Hubby always gets the fajitas. At our most recent visit, he got the steak and shrimp fajitas. The meats were well done but surprisingly soft. I would say it can be hit or miss in terms of tenderness. The burgers have been consistently good. Service can be hit or miss as well. Semi-fast, casual restsurant with reasonable prices.
The $10.99 "3 for me" deal is actually such a fantastic value and that's why it gets 4 stars from me! The burgers are super greasy which is one downside, but the fries are crisp and delicious, portions are HUGE, and the side of chips/salad were nice as well. I've heard that Chili's has recovered its reputation in the past few years and is on an upward trend in popularity, and with deals like this I can see why! Fun/casual spot, good service, huge portions, good value. I admittedly had a pretty low opinion of Chili's in the past but I've been corrected.
CHILI'S @ Camino Del Rio N If you haven't tried the Mozzarella sticks here, you have to get in your car and GO! My boyfriend and I came here on a Tuesday night, it was quite busy and a lot of people. We got seated fairly quickly, and the waiter was SO KIND to us! We ordered the 12 count, half normal and half Nashville Hot. It came out super quick and it was delicious! The ambiance is clean and any average american restaurant. I really enjoyed the place itself and the location. Parking was free and is right outside the place, shared in a complex. Highly recommend!

I always have great experiences with Chilis but tonight was above and beyond. Food came out fast and hot, the Sam Adams Oktoberfest is now on tap!! Bonus with that. But the best part was our server! I didn't remember her name but she was working as the bar / cocktail waitress tonight on 9/11 and she was awesome! Thanks for the good dinner tonight read more

The wait for our food was a bit ridiculous. And the temp manager on shift Vivian was rude and very unwelcoming with her attitude. But our waiter D'Angelo was great. He was polite, accommodating and communicative. He was very apologetic about how long it was taking for us to get our food which we appreciated. Also another gentleman came out who was very helpful and even gave us a discount for us having to wait so long which we were appreciative about. My sister's pasta meal the shrimp was cold like really cold. Their strawberry lemonade is FIRE!!! I ain't even lying I had two cups of that delicious refreshment. They also gave us a complimentary quesadilla because I'm telling the wait time for our food was crazy long. They were pretty busy for a Sunday evening. Zero stars.. I ate trash out my lava cake, foreign objects baked into my dessert was mortifying. Manager did not help us at all and had the audacity to offer a piece of frozen cheesecake to make up for the incident. I had to pull over on my way home to throw up I am so unhappy with this establishment read more

Lunch Combo - Half Order Bacon Ranch Chicken Quesadillas with (missing) enchilada soup and Skillet Queso I normally don't leave bad reviews and rarely ever review chains but I'm just wondering what in the h*** happened lol. I ordered skillet queso and the half lunch bacon ranch quesadilla with enchilada soup. Unfortunately I didn't get my soup or any of the lettuce, pico, or sour cream for the quesadillas but I DID get FOUR tubs of salsa and 2 bags of chips? So kind of a win? I do like their chips and salsa. Probably don't order from this location unless you're a REALLY big fan of salsa and don't mind half your order missing. read more

So let me start by saying that my review has nothing to do with my server, she was amazing and she had so many tables that she was working. We arrived to Chili's and they told us it would be a 30 to 45 minute wait, we were okay waiting so we waited for our name to be called. About the 30 minute mark our name was called and we were seated our sweet waitress came over and took our order but advices that the kitchen was really backed up and that our food may take a little while which then ment that our food would take longer so more wait time it was too late to go elsewhere because our son was with us and he was hungry so we waited. Finally our food came out and right away I noticed that the steak my son ordered looked burnt or over cooked but I did not want to point out to my son until I knew it was not just me who noticed my son proceeded to cut his steak which that in itself was difficult, he tried to eat it but he just could not do it. We told our waitress and she apologized and said she would get the cooks to cook another one. Second steak came out and it was so much better. My son was happy. Then the bill came and when I was about to pay I saw the price of the steak said $10.29 and then there was a credit of $-10.29 which ment the price of the steak was taken off the burnt one but then we noticed there was a cost for the same steak and it said $16.49 for the same steak so I called our waitress over and asked her why I was being charged $16.49 for the same steak and she advices that because my son had eaten the side of rice mind you while he waited for his second steak which only the new steak came out that they were charging $16.49 so it was not like he got additional sides just a replacement steak. The manager would only como some of the steak. That is just crazy to me. The manager should have just compt the first steak and not charged me more for the exact second steak because my son ate his side of rice which came with his meal anyway. I'm extremely disappointed with this manager at Mission Valley store #76 I feel this is really bad business and corporate will also be hearing from me. Again nothing my waitress did wrong but the store manager in my opinion is doing a horrible job read more

I'm not sure why I keep giving this location's curbside service a chance to redeem themselves but tonight I finally learned my lesson to never come back. I ordered my food online for curbside delivery. When I arrived, all of the curbside spots were taken so I parked in a spot that was perpendicular (less than a foot) to the #1 curbside spot (see photo for reference). I sat in my car with the window down patiently waiting for my food. My order was supposed to be ready at 7:20pm. Waited around and figured maybe they were busy but once it hit 7:45pm, I figured they must have forgotten about me. I walked in to a half empty dining room and told the girl what was going on and she says "oh sorry, your food is right there, you have to park in the spot if you want your food". I said "so my food has been sitting there for 25min, this entire time?" And she answers "yeah well you weren't in the spot" as if I was not clearly next to it and as if putting the make, model and color of your car is not part of the curbside process. I explained that I was right next to the spot, she didn't care. She never offered to remake my now cold and soggy food. Just a "oh well, your fault half apology". Not exactly how I'd like to have dinner after a 12hr shift at work. Saying this experience was disappointing and just plain dumb is a massive understatement. Check your bags too, items are almost always missing. I had no dressing for my salad. Nice. read more

Ahhh a classic American dining experience. I love all of the deals offered here. Husband and I opted for the $25 for 2 menu. We chose the awesome blossom, half ribs, bacon burger, and chocolate chip skillet cookie with ice cream. Awesome blossom was awesome. Nice oniony flavor with a hint of spice. Burger was standard. Only came with one side which doesn't make sense because the burger wasn't that big. Half ribs came with 2 sides. Loaded baked potato had cheese and bacon and side of fries tasted good with ranch. Skillet cookie was good but the cookie flavor wasn't as pronounced at BJ's. There was an unusual flavor about it like kind of plasticky? Regardless, it was great to share after our meal. Jordan was our server and he was attentive and friendly. Although I don't dine at places like this often, I definitely wouldn't mind returning. read more

I think they do I haven't gone to the Chili's but I do order their food online it's quite very delicious tasty and the service is excellent you can even track your order
