Came in on Sunday for a nice ribeye! Although the service was a bit slow it was totally understandable. I think our server Erin was the only one in the lounge area and it was 90% full, so we understood that we were not going to get super fast service. Just left this locations. I will start by saying the food was decent. That being said the service was terrible, the waitress and inattentive and at one moment completely disrespectful to our issue. The issue was the onion rings were too hard for my in laws to eat, instead of apologizing or offering any assistance, the waitress shrugs her shoulders and tells us it's the breading and basically she can't do anything, finally she offers to bring out another order, which was cooked probably more then the first. The manager did take the onion rings off but really did not seem to care. The management staff did not seem much better. During our meal we maybe spoke to our waitress once. Had to ask multiple different staff members for refills on our soda, then waited too long to receive them. We were pretty much ingored the whole meal. Right before we left the waitress walked over heard my father in law talking and rather rudely interrupted him asking how we were going to pay. This the really only the third time we saw her the entire meal. If a zero star review was possible I would give them that. Oh my, you have a huge variety of menu choices to choose from!! Chili's is the place just for that. They have mild to spicy and make your food to order. I love the Quesadilla Explosion Salad. It is served with 4 cut cheese quesadillas on the edges of the salad bowl which makes for a wonderful presentation. The flavors are incredible, the textures, out of this world!! The best dressing is on this salad!! I recommend this 100%...Big enough to share : ) I love this place!!!!!! read more

Fiancé and I used to come here every week for the Platinum Presidente Margarita. That was until stopped using fresh squeezed limes. Now it's some canned crap I think. Our martial arts school, Schu-Fu International Martial Arts Association, was celebrating after our big year end test. We started rolling in to Chili's about 11:30 AM and I think the last of us left at about 2:30. The staff was outstanding. They dealt with varying numbers of people (about 35 total) coming and leaving at different times all wanting to sit in the same area. Allana the Host was extraordinarily patient, skillful, professional and pleasant not only with the circus of us coming in and out, but with me asking for special table configurations and all sorts of other stuff. The servers Lauren, Louis, Luke and Marissa were a wonder keeping everything straight and everyone happy. I heard not one complaint from anyone in our group and many compliments. Tried the chilis to go setup and immediately regretted it... I was waiting for over 40 minutes for my food then when i went to ask them how much longer, the order was just sitting on the counter. Then when i get home i notice they forgot my fries and the patties on the cheeseburgers were raw. So i talked to the manager over the phone (nice guy) and he says they will have another order cooked up for me. When i go to pick up the second order im greeted with terrible customer service and they forgot the fries once again. You can say I might be a weekly regular at this Chili's. As soon as my husband and I walk in the door we are always greeted with the bartender Michael's acknowledgement with a welcoming smile. He knows immediately what we want. "The usual guys?" With a smile and a nod we placed our order across a busy room. He doesn't just do this to us, he does this to mostly everyone that walks in the bar. We always, even in busy times get our drinks within 5 mins, if not sooner. He never fails to come talk to us if only for a minute to see what's going on in our lives as he sneaks in if we are hungry and asks what he can bring us. We usually get a bowl of their southwestern soup as we sip our drinks. Within 3 mins Michael is back sliding it in front of me. Steaming hot and so satisfying, I am one happy gal. I finish my new favorite happy hour drink the blue pacific for $5.99 which is one of the stronger drinks ive had at any bar, period. Great deal! Plus, I am able to just pay the bill on their handy ziosk table tablet. So simple a 5 year old can do it. I have to say there are a lot of places to eat in Santee. But when u are treated like family somewhere, it feels like home. I can just give the 5 stars on the customer service from Michael. But if Michael is not there, no need to panic, you need to request Kelsey. With a great personality and sweet smile, I feel taken care of. read more

07/21/2017. Had take out this evening from the Chili's in Santee. The Cajun Shrimp Pasta was average, not the best we've had. We added on a side salad which was good. The bacon cheeseburger was very good although when I went to insert the tomato slice on my burger, I noticed it looked like it hadn't been cleaned. The green stem still attached. Worst experience ever. Me and hubs don't go out a lot but we decided to stay local and celebrate his getting a new job. He ordered fajitas and I ordered a burger. Upon getting our food his fajitas were clearly cold and the plate wasn't sizzling at all like fajitas typically do. We immediately told the waiter that his plate was cold and requested it be heated. Our table was right next to the kitchen enterance. The waiter took the plate and on his way back into the kitchen yelled "WE HAVE A CRY BABY ON OUR HANDS!" Taken aback I thought to myself, did I really just hear that? But when a lady at the table next to us turned to me and asked, "did he really just say that?" I was beyond embarrassed for myself and my husband. We were made fools in front of a whole dining room of dinner goers and everyone heard the guy. I immediately called for the manager who did really nothing to help the situation. She wouldn't even let us see the waiter when all we asked for is an apology. She tried to remedy the situation with a free dessert. I later emailed their corporate regarding the situation. Received a generic I'm sorry from I believe the district manager but when I replied asking what was done to ensure that a customer not be belittled in their establishment again, I got no response. They deserve ZERO stars. No one goes to dinner to get humiliated in front of other guests. I will never get over it and will tell EVERYONE I know of how terrible chilis treats their guests. read more

We sat in the bar as there was a wait. The waitress was pleasant. She did serve the drinks incorrectly to my husband and I. No big deal, I moved them and didn't think twice. He ordered fajitas and I ordered a medium steak. My fault for having high standards because it came out more than well done the first time. My steak was served with salad. Server asked if I wanted a soup or salad while I waited and I declined. It was 56 minutes from the time we ordered to when my steak was out the 2nd time. Server was missing in action after this. The 2nd steak was medium well, and I dare not send it back a 2nd time as I saw the movie Waiting. I watched my husband eat his entire meal. I decided to eat the medium well steak and just gave up. It wasn't until some senior staff brought my 2nd steak out the server reappeared. I'll save my steak ordering for Ruths Chris obviously. Not impressed at all. Won't be going back. read more

Ordered 2 for 22 steak. Came raw...I mean RAW. Sent it back. Waited 10 minutes and I watched wife eat her meal. Came back raw again with black hard sear on one side and potatos and asparagus came back reheated. Declined further food. They comped meal for wife. Manager states she is new, Trying to bring up service and was appologetic. Steak cooking 101...temperature. Walk over to Target and buy your cook a thermometer. Cook medium steak to minimum 150 degrees. Problem solved. read more

So our level of customer service tonight was not very good... I think part of it was that we appeared to have a new waiter and half way through the dinner we couldn't even tell who our waiter was because we constantly had someone different at the table. Without us even asking for management the manager came over to our table to check on us. It was right after we received our entrees and my son didn't receive his dinner.. Also after he walked away I looked at my fiancé and said... We never received our appetizer. Just really? It was a really disappointing experience. I always give good and bad reviews when needed and this definitely deserves a bad review. My husband and I went there at 7pm got sat at 715 and did not leave until 830. Our waitress took forever to get our drink order and when she finally came back we ordered our appetizer and meals. Our appetizer didn't come out until 8pm and our meals right after that. My pasta was missing the garlic bread and she said oh ill be back with your bread.. By the time I'm done eating she had still not came back with the bread or to check on us at all for that matter and comes over at 820 to see if my husband wanted a refill mind you this whole time I saw her laughing and dancing in the back making eye contact with me seeing i was finished eating and carrying on with her conversation. I totally understand if you are really busy and you are working hard trying to make everyone happy but that was not the case here. Our waitress could careless about the situation and it was clear the other 2 tables around were saying the same thing. I was very disappointed when I went to Chili's the other day. I was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease and therefore have special dietary needs. I have to make sure no food has or comes into contact with anything that contains gluten. Well I searched online and found that chili's has gluten free options and was thrilled. I loved going to chili's before an so I went with my friend Holly. Well we got seated and I asked the waiter for their gluten free menu. She looked at me like I was stupid and told me that they do not offer a gluten free menu. I told her that I was online and that it says they have a gluten free menu. Then she says well i've been working here for 4 years and i've never seen a gluten free menu so i'll have to ask our manager. When she came back with the menu and just walked away. Next she came back and took our orders I asked her to be sure the chef's know that it is a gluten free order so that they can make sure there is no cross contamination. She just kind of scuffed. Then when she came back she gave me my food and asked if I wanted worshire sauce or a1 sauce I told her no thank you they contain gluten. Then she say oh that really sucks you know my mom has the same problem the doctors kept telling her it was something else.....Hmmm just my opinion but if her mom really had Celiac she wouldn't have been so rude in the beginning. I had Lunch today taking advantage oif their Veterans Day free Meal. Walking in the door I was greeted by a very nice Host, he thanked me for my service and handed me the SPecial Menu, I am impressed that the GM still honored Vets today as the menu said the special was on Sunday only. My waitress Molly was a Jewel. Very nice che to thanked me for my service and chatted with me some very great personality, and had my drink refill before I was done with the 1st drink. As I emptied my 2nd drink Molly was busy taking an order but another waitress walked by asked me what I was drinking and got my refill. The Host brough my food out made sure everything was ok. I can tell you there is No Such Thing as "NOT MY JOB or TABLE" here the GM was in the kitchen cooking, deleivering food, bussing tables very impressive My Chicken Critters was perfect. Based on my experience with restaurants I have very often fond myself in very poor customer service. I always comment on service because I want these people to know that I wish to pay for a great time. If you are having a bad day at work, suck it up or call in. I am not ready for your emotional turmoil. On January 5th 2013, around 7pm, I entered Chilies restaurant shortly after work. I was sore and stressed and wanted some good food and relaxation. Instead I had a waitress/ bartender who seemed more intrigued with her co workers personal lives than serving me. She was a blonde with her hair pulled back, no name tag ((Probably good for her since complaints about her would be off the wall!)) But she never asked me how my meal was throughout the night. Never offered a re fill, never asked if I wanted dessert, and was constantly talking about personal life topics instead of attending to customers. As far as the food goes, it was excellent. As for the staff? Let's just say I will be taking my next meal from Chilies to go. read more

I am a regular customer here and I have never had a bad experience until today. I come almost every week for over 2 years now and I have always had great service. Today my boyfriend and I went to have lunch and as usual when we finished we paid cash and walked out. The waitress, Alex, rushed outside and when I saw her I immediately got out of my truck and asked her what's wrong. She then accused us of NOT paying. I assured her we left everything in full cash including a tip. She repeatedly told us that we did not, with a terrible attitude. I got mad and told her fine let me go see with you what's going on. I walked inside to our table and there it is, the cash with the receipt! Not only did she assume and give us attitude over something she failed to see, she made this restraunt lose a regular customer. I highly recomend you don't pay cash in here unless you want to be accused of dine and dash. read more

I said no cooked medium as it should have been, What did they meaning waitress and cook not chef cook, threw my meat back on the grill, already sliced mind you and well can you guess how it came back. yep WELL DONE. well never going back to that one. Food is good but this place needs a good cleaning. I love their lunch menu and my favorite is the fajitas. They bring out a little holder with small cups of sour cream, salsa and cheese and this thing was caked with dried food. I mentioned to the server that they might want to give a good scrub before using it again. Also a couple of weeks ago the vent by where we were sitting was caked with grease etc. My husband mentioned it to the manager. We noticed that nothing had been done and still looked gross. If they can't keep the front of the resturant clean then I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. I love Chilis but I think we will go to another location until they get the cleaning crew out there. read more

The four of us came to eat here for a birthday celebration. The waitress forgot to put in an order for one of our entrees. She did state it was her first night by herself without help so we understood as she profusely apologized. She stated she would comp our dessert. We didn't feel that was enough so we patiently waited for a manager to come by and see if they would come by to check if we were satisfied with the comped dessert? Nope. When we finished our meal we requested the manager. The manager came over and said in a sarcastic voice, " hi I'm the manager you requested my presence (with a rainbow waive)". We stated a dessert was not good enough for a comp. To sum it up she comped our appetizer, kept giving us an incorrect bill and then once the bill was settled she left our table without even acting like she cared about the service. I would expect more from a corporation chain and I would have given the person a $25 gift card stating, "I apologize for this misunderstanding and I would like you to come back and try our service again". read more
