Came by here before seeing a movie and it was a very enjoyable experience. No wait to get seated and the staff were all very quick and friendly. There's nice areas in the place from the bar to the booths in the dining area where we sat. Ordered a blue cheese salad which was very good, as well as the Scotch egg which I loved but was super filling. My main dish was the corned beef and cabbage which is my favorite dish ever, which ended up being good but not quite what I expected. I guess it was a pretty wet dish than what I'm used to, which I'm thinking was due to the cheesy potato side that came with it. Well I used to love Hooleys and taking people who are visiting there, not anymore. They have chosen to align themselves with MAGA and the ill-informed MAHA. Switching to beef tallow is the newest dog whistle and Hooleys is showing their true colors. Their food used to be great, but they have been backsliding for a while. read more

The service was very slow - we sat in a booth that was kind of out of the way and barely ever saw our server. Food was actually even worse. The "Irish Stew" is literally a bowl of brown gravy a few chunks of boiled carrot, potato, and beef in it. Clearly nothing was cooked together, just glopped together in a bowl. Eating or drinking here is an enjoyable experience as the ambience is authentic Irish pub (I believe they actually brought an Irish pub over here and had it reassembled). They have a decent selection of Irish beers (Kilkenny is my personal favorite). Their White Wine Boxty with a side of tater tots is the ultimate comfort food and most tasty. The corned beef tacos are a popular choice, while the Shepherd's Pie, Irish Stew and Donegal Salad with added protein are all also delicious, as is just about everything else on the menu. We went to Hooleys for a few drinks and listen to some music in a relaxing atmosphere. The place was a replica of the other one with a very faux authentic feel which is appreciated in an Irish pub. We ordered light fare such as the sampler and a bowl of the Guinness onion soup. I recommend the soup and the potato skins/wings were large and generous with good flavors. The Long Island iced tea was a hit and miss depending on the bartender. Guinness is Guinness so I was pleased. The only negative was the service, we wound up getting our drinks from the bar after watching them for many minutes without wait staff coming to serve them. She also didn't notice her error of disappearing for so long. She will learn hopefully. Overall, a very good experience with quality music. read more

Went with my husband as per my sisters recommendation...needless to say we were utterly disappointed, the alcohol was fine. Got small mac n cheese, small salad, 4 for $3 wings and jalapeño poppers... all of that was $66 which is insane on its own. Now he's the problems. 1. Mac n cheese, Tasted like runny cheese water. No flavor, and my husband needed to add a TON of pepper to even get it down, still couldn't change how runny it was. 2. Salad was okay it's salad but the most flavorful thing on the menu and that says A LOT. 3. The jalapeño poppers, At first we were thrilled by the portion size, then we took a bite, they tasted watery, absolutely no spice and the cheese inside was as watery and flavorless as the mac n cheese. Had to smother them in sirracha and only ate two and for $18.50 i expected at least some flavor. Lastly and most disappointing, 4. The damn wings. "Suicide habanero" I was excited, I live spicy food. I genuinely thought that I had the wrong wings! My waitress got me a new order for free because I didn't taste any heat and they were sweet? She brought me the new ones and I didn't have the heart to tell her...they tasted the same. Absolutely no heat. No give something that name, and my mouth didn't burn one bit. Disappointed was an understatement. Overall we were really really disappointed that when our waitress came back we just got the check. After that disaster of appetizers we couldn't bring ourselves to eat an entree. We left and went to our fav taco shop bc we needed flavor. The kids Mac n cheese penne pasta the cheese was separated and gritty. We told them we had a discount card from our baseball team they said don't worry about it we know this, no discount had to tell them again. Would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Can not believe something can be so terrible and have such a famous name. I am amazed how food can be so cold when the place was not busy at all. It's always our favorite go to restaurant. It doesn't matter what you order the food is perfect. From their fish and chips to the rib eye steak. Never been disappointed. The service is as great as their food. My siblings and I were there recently to celebrate what would have been our fathers 80th birthday. Daddy passed away earlier this year. Rowan was out server and she was terrific. She was so kind and nice to my family and a fantastic server. Visited 8/27/2022 I've been to both Hooleys and they are great places to grab a tasty bite and enjoy a cold one. The food at this store Is very well done. I Recommend The Tempura Shrimp and Fish and Chips. Both are excellent and not on the menu but available for the asking a Combo of Fish & Shrimp And Chips. Fantastic Choice. The 3 Item Appetizer Platter is also a great way to start your meal. Temperature Zucchini, and Potato Skins were excellent and the Calamari was a little over cooked and tough. The people next to me at the bar ordered onion rings and they were huge and very delicious looking. The size of donuts. The Half And Half Burger was tasty too. Sadly the Cadillac Margaritas were very weak with not so tasty mix and a bit Overpriced for having very little liqueur. Tried a couple So called Shots of Jack Daniels and got about a 1/2 shot in a glass. I do know what a SHOT looks like. Ambience was nice and service was good gives this place 3 1/2 to 4 Stars.
