This is my spot when I go to Walking Horse Capital of the World. Ive had multiple cheeseburgers (all on point) and chicken fajitas here. I would literally eat everything in a few minutes it is so good. The servers are always very friendly. I usually like Chilis, but this one has the excellent service and top notch food that makes it stand out. The ambience is... well, its Chilis. Sports, wood trim, and all very clean. Everyone seems to have a good time here. Oh yeah, and it doesnt cost much more than any of the fast food restaurants down the street. read more

I've been coming to this location for 20 years now. The amount of time I have lived in Shelbyville. Never had a complaint or problem until recently. I had food splattered on me by a server who dropped a tray of food on the floor next to me and shattered the dishes. I didn't make a big deal to not add to the chaos that was going on. When I spoke to the manager about it she just dismissed me like if I had never been there before. I reached out to Chilli's but they have yet to reply. I will not be going back. read more

Went with my friend a couple months ago, waitress was great to us, food was fantastic, got the ribs and they were nice and fresh. Overall great service and food. Za did not affect any of the experience. The environment isn't the worst but it's Shelbyville so they can't help it. When we started out one server began cursing the hostess about she didn't want any more tables. She also made the hostess cry. So glad our party of 5 sat down with the very sweet server we did. The food was mediocre at best. I wanted to try the Nashville Hot mozzarella. They brought out the regular (which I should've kept in hindsight).. the hot mozerella was greasy and lacked hotness.. We then got our main entrees and to be honest mine was good (Cajun pasta) until I found the hair mixed in. They took my pasta off which really was no savings because I got the 3 for $16.99. I ended up paying over $6 for a cup of soup and over $3 for sweet tea. Definitely would not go back here. read more

We arrived before 5 pm, there was a couple of people standing there waiting to be seated but nobody there to seat them. After about 5 minutes someone came up and seated them then came back and just pointed to the bar area and told us to sit where ever we wanted. Heck we could have sat down 10 minutes prior to that if I would have know that. Waitress came over promptly took our drink order. Drinks arrived, mine came from the bar but it was delivered before my wife's lemonade. Her lemonade looked like just plain water and when she tasted it that's what it was. We had the waitress bring over another glass that was correct. My wife had the triple dipper for her meal and I had the Ribeye surf and turf. The wife's triple dipper was ok but as she stated it was just average. My Ribeye and Shrimp were bathed in garlic, my medium steak was well in some spots and well done in the others. There was absolutely no way that the cook or chef had any clue what so ever on what a medium steak was. The flavor of my total meal was completely overpowered by the amount of garlic that they used on the steak and on the shrimp. The only thing that didn't have garlic on them was the loaded garlic mashed potatoes. When I asked for the check, I was directed to the electronics on the table to pay my bill. When I saw how much it was, the first thought that I had was the quality of the food did not warrant the price. The place was clean and well lite, but understaffed. I have probably ate my last meal at Chili's. It's pricing does not represent the quality of food, it represents the lack of quality in my opinion. read more

I went to this Chili's today (Sunday) at about 1:15 p.m. The hostess, (Caitland) was very nice. I asked her for a booth and she seated me in the bar. The bartender, became my server. She asked me what I wanted to drink and I ordered an unsweet tea with lemon. Once she brought me my tea the server asked if I was ready to order. I said not yet please give me a few minutes. Once I decided what I wanted to eat I waited and waited and waited and no one came to take my order. I finally asked the hostess if someone would take my order. The bartender took my order. Once I received my order I soon ran out of tea and I waited and waited for a refill. Finally, when the hostess walked by, I asker her for a refill. Went for diner tonight and it was absolutely horrible. Service was terrible food was just as bad. Ordered our food and waited and waited and waited some more. We waited for over 30 minutes for our dinner. They weren't busy at all. Several empty tables. Once we were finished trying to eat what was ordered we were once again waiting and waiting and waiting some more just to try and pay for our order. This is a decent Chili's, but it's definitely not the best. However, in Shelbyville there are obviously not a lot of good options when it comes to exciting restaurants. We came here for a lunch on my daughter's 5th birthday, and it was not too disappointing. However, we had a bad waitress that didn't seem to remember anything we had said. I mentioned to her that it was our daughter's birthday, and please bring out a dessert for her. However, the waitress seemed to always be in a hurry and didn't seem to listen to what we were saying. I even tried to ask her again to bring my daughter a small dessert, but she was literally walking away as I was trying to talk to her. Overall, the food was pretty good, and I would come back here again in the future. We went in tonight at 9:10 and they close at 10. We ordered as soon as we got in there and we order the bottomless soup, salad, and chips. We were told we couldn't get that because it's only during lunch time which we know but have had a conversation with the general manager before and she said we could order that and she had no problems with it. Tonight however the server had to ask the GM and she came to our table and said the bottomless was being removed from the menu in September and she wanted to let us know so we wouldn't think the servers were lying to us. I asked can we still get the bottomless tonight and she said yes but this is the last time. They closed the kitchen at 930 so we couldn't get bottomless after we were told we could. They couldn't even make a Caesar salad because they put it all up. The had all of the tvs off and another gentleman complained as well. The Air was not on. If closing time is 10 they shouldn't be rushing people at 930. Tonight was it for me. I have given them so many chances ....... Shelbyville TN is the worst chilis I've ever been to. I really Chili's's in the south. 2 for one drinks and free chips and salsa if you eat in the bar area. There is very good service at this location. Friendly and attentave if you drink adult beverages prices are great. I love the burger sliders (big mouth bites) my wife loves the soups and salads. This facility is clean and well run. read more

They manage to screw up our orders every time. The food is usually good, they just never get the orders right. Service is usually a bit below average. One ribeye was dry but another party member ribeye was good. (No longer have 'skillet' potatoes, which is disappointing as they were delicious) 'Fajitas were tough, unseasoned, rice undercooked and black beans fresh from can with no seasoning at all', another party member said. He didn't like them at all. Another had pasta with chicken and said it was good and creamy. Chocolate cookie was delicious! They said they were cutting down in menu items soon, which maybe a good thing so they can really season and serve a few good items than a lot of items which aren't as good as they could be. I called ahead on Labor Day to ensure they were open when they said they were open till 10 pm for dine in. We drove there and arrive before 9 and the rude hostess told us they are not seating customers and out of food. Basically she's lazy and they don't want to work and to close early. This restaurant is horrible!! The salsa was like a bowl of tomato juice, not salsa. Asked the waitress about it and was told 'that's how they make." Poor fit a Mexican restaurant. The onion petals were overdone, bordering on burned. Asked waitress for new ones; never got them. Ordered butter with my broccoli; never got it. I have went to this Chilis for years and here recently something has changed. We went last night, and I had previously ordered our to-go order. We had arrived about an hour after we had placed the order and had to wait another 45 minutes to get the food. When we got home we ate the food for supper and went straight to bed. This morning we had gotten food poisoning. The whole first half of our morning we were both throwing up and other very disgusting things. We have attempted to dine at the Chili's in Shelbyville 3 times in the last 6 weeks. Today I even went to the app and Join The Wait list. Stated 21 minute wait. Arrived at restaurant and was told by the host wait was 45 minutes. He first said short handed in Kitchen. I asked you mean after we are seated approximately 45 to receive our meal. He said yes, then preceded to tell me 45 minutes to get seated, then the wait for your meal. I asked for a manager. Empty tables everywhere. Facility: I walked in right behind another group - it took about 5 or so minutes before anyone even greeted us. There was nobody at the hostess stand and employees were just walking around not paying any attention to us. The restaurant had a lot of dirty tables. This was around 2:00 on a Sunday and staff again was just walking by tables not worrying about them being dirty. The Food: I started with the usual chips and salsa. I mean it's bottomless so why not. Well the chips were rough. Super greasy. Like bad! The salsa was cold - like had pieces of ice in it. No idea what temperature salsa freezes but this Chilis figured it out. I ordered the prime rib tacos - I'm pretty sure the meat was not prime rib. It looked more like chuck stew meat. Overall this is pretty below average for a Chilis - even the service left a lot to be desired (I had to ask for napkins and refills - that's right they brought me silverware but no napkins). read more

Not to bad, love the honey chipotle chicken and the corn on the cob is really good for a chain restraunt. Ribs are good and my son loves the shrimp tacos. The service can be iffy, they have some really good waitresses and some that should find another line of work. I have eaten at several chili establishments. Every time I eat at the Shelbyville location I have gotten sick. I am a strict vegan so if I get meat, dairy, or eggs in my food it makes me very sick. The last time I ate at the chili's in Shelbyville I only got chips, guacamole, and salsa. By the time I made it home I was sick. I called the manager at chili's and asked how they fry their chips. They fry all foods in the same fryer so if you have any sort of allergens don't eat at that location. When I brought up allergens all the manager would tell me is that there is a disclaimer on the menu. They obviously aren't going to make eating there easier for customers. read more
