My aunt and I met a friend for dinner at 5:30pm on a Wednesday. We were welcomed and seated right away in a booth (as requested), then our server and a server in training came to get our drink orders. I wish I'd written down their names, both were wonderfully attentive and friendly. We had the chips and salsa (free thanks to the app) and I had the Santa Fe burger without jalapeños (mild not spicy for me!). Everything was great, we enjoyed ourselves and our meals. I was super bummed to find out the crispy buffalo chicken salad was taken off the menu. That was my fave item on the menu. I came here w/ my bf & niece. I ordered mozzarella sticks for the table. For my main course I ordered a made up salad since they didn't have the buffalo chicken one anymore. My bf ordered a cheeseburger w/ fries. My niece ordered the half a rack of bbq ribs w/ mashed potatoes. The mozzarella sticks were humongous & had so much cheese inside. They had a good cheese pull. My salad was ok. I felt like it was not enough. It was a really small portion than what I'm used to. We all always share our food so I got to try my bf's & niece's food. Cheeseburger was delish! Ribs fell off the bone & mashed potatoes were creamy. Overall, good! It seemed as if our waitress had half of the house. She had too many patrons to fully pay attention to our table. My kids love to go here but for me it's super mediocre. Service started slow as there was no hostess upfront upon entering. Or server was nice but it looks like the person sitting across from us was mad at him because her chips didn't come. When he went in the back I could hear a man yelling at him. I tried their new spicy Rita, but it hurt my tummy, only bottom self liquor does that; I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't really use Espolón. I got their Sizzling fajita with chicken and steak. The steak came out over cooked for my liking. This platter just wasn't great for me. My daughter ordered a kids meal, she didn't like the cheese quesadilla but she liked her pizza. My other daughter loved her baby back ribs, she says they came right off the bone and that next time she's getting a full order. We had a solid experience at Chili's during our last visit. The restaurant was mostly full when we got there but we were quickly seated within a few minutes. The server we had was nice and promptly brought us our drinks. I have a Chili's less than ten minutes away from me, yet I travel the twenty-five minutes to this one when I want Chili's! The staff is always free friendly (shoutout to Michele! She was fabulous!) It is clean and the employees are actually working, unlike the Waterbury location where they all stand around and talk while they have huge lines and dirty tables that just sit. During this trip, my husband and I ordered a few new things to try. My husband loved the Cajun shrimp pasta and actually had some leftover which is rare! The honey chipotle crispers & waffles were amazing. I was hesitant to order these, but I am SO glad I did! It came with a honey chipotle sauce and it literally had me salivating. I will definitely be getting this again on my next visit. The pictures don't do it justice. I also had dug right into them before remembering to take a picture! I also tried the bacon avocado grilled chicken sandwich. This was surprisingly good as well. It was also a very large portion. The chicken was much bigger than the bread. It was cooked well and very tasty. It was a great visit to this Chili's. It was busy, but very spread out in between the tables. Our company card was some how used at this location, "attempted 5times" for the amount of $422 around 9:25pm 04/25/25 and just finding out why our card has not been working by our bank today. You'd think calling the location where your card was used may be a bit helpful in figuring out how this may have occurred or get some kind of help or concern, but no it'll just turn into argument with their store manager ? I called first time was placed on hold and it turned to their voicemail. I had to call again for the staff to basically chuckle that that happen and they'll get me the manager. I was told by this manager go speak to your bank nothing we can do and if it didn't go through why even care basically. I did speak to the bank and they gave me every detail as to what happened and as a general manager myself you have cameras recording, you're able to go back on your transactions from a year ago, you can check online orders and pin point exact transaction I'm talking about. I have date, time and amount. I felt so helped and I actually used to come to this location as a customer but definitely not anymore. I had people lose a scarf at my location and I went up and beyond for them, I hung up on him because he kept saying you're not listening to me, there's nothing I can do, I have more than 1,500 transactions, go talk to your bank. How rude and unprofessional! I guess they support scammers trying to use card info that doesn't belong to them and chilis just cares how their transactions are paid! read more

A year later. Tried again! Customer service still sucks!! The online ordering was not available (8pm on a Saturday night). I called. Chris hung up on me. I called back. He took my $50 order. He said the wait would be about 30 minutes. I got there in 25 minutes. I called from "curbside / To go" area. They asked me what number spot I was in. There IS no spot numbers. She sighed and said she'd send someone out. I waited 7 minutes. Still nothing. I called again. A different girl asked my name. She said the order was "right here" and brought it out. This place was packed and had a 25 minute wait so I opted for the bar where we were met by Karena and some other great staff. She was so funny and inviting. Worn interior devoid of any atmosphere, let-alone the original intent of chili's. On to the food..over salted, over cooked, devoid of authenticity.. a parody , a cartoon, of southwestern food. My ribs--their famous baby back ribs were cooked to a rubber-like tire consistency. The fries, while tasty, were limp and soggy. My son's fajita's looked like they were just steamed -- no not sizzling, steamed, right out of the microwave. Bright spots? Coleslaw was pretty good, drinks were not bad. And oh god, I feel for the brave folks that were doing their best to serve this "food" with an up-beat attitude. Come on chili's.... You can do better.. bring back your roots! I am pulling for you. I don't see the hype about Chili's, it's not good at all. Every single appetizer we got was disgusting. The guacamole for the bottomless chips were bland and chips were bitter. The cheese fries were soggy and not appetizing at all. The chicken and waffle appetizer was too heavy and overly sweet and the chicken was artificial. Just nasty. The only thing that was pretty ok was my burger but the fries were bitter. I will never ever be back Chili's solely because of the food.
