Does this look like a $44.00 rib eye to you? My guess is 6-7 ounces and thin. Comes only with broccoli so the French Fries were $9.00 more. This is a weak effort and very poor value in my humble opinion. read more

Ok this was my first time actually eating at the restaurant. I usually eat at the bar just having apps. Came here for dinner on New Year's Eve and was blown away by the food. Pre fixe menu with lots of options. Had the sweet and spicy calamari for appetizer. Really different but excellent. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection! The peanut butter pie was heavenly!! Our server was very nice but definitely new. But she got all our orders right!!! Place was full, but still able to talk. Looking forward to coming back ! read more

Not too busy for a Saturday night. Not too loud and the inside is updated, modern. Started with the steak and cheese egg rolls, pretty good! Good size for an app, comes with two egg rolls. I ended up getting the Parker vodka cream pasta dish, wish it had protein in it other than prosciutto. Was a good bite but I'd try something else next time. The coolest part about this place it's two restaurants in one, one is the bar and sit down dinning. Then there's the beer tap and personal pizzas in the front. I came here for dinner with my wife. We ordered their riffs on a Cosmo and a Mule for cocktails, the French onion soup for an appetizer, and the filet mignon and the short rib for entrees. The Cosmo was much sweeter than one would hope, and the mule was served in a highball glass instead of a copper mug. The ginger beer was non existent, so they were both disappointing. The French onion soup was quite good, we enjoyed that. The fillet was so disappointing. It wasn't seared, it completely lacked flavor. We would have been happier getting a steak at the supermarket and making it at home. Also, it was served with three measly florets of what seemed to be frozen broccoli. This was up there as one of the most disappointing steaks at a restaurant I can remember. The short rib was tender and the port sauce was quite good. An improvement over the filet, but the sides were similarly disappointing. Overall, it seemed like plenty of people were ordering the burger or sandwiches. It's possible this place is better when ordering those items. They should take the steaks off the menu in their current state. Very disappointing. read more

Stopped in for dinner with a friend. The restaurant is so beautiful. I love how there's an area where you can sit in a nice setting and have dinner, or you can sit in the bar area for a more relaxed setting. The bar area is beautiful as well. The bread they served with the white bean hummus was delicious! It's very different from anything else I've experienced. We ordered the Crispy chicken sandwich - spicy slaw, tomato, avocado, and provolone. With parmesan fries. Also, the French dip - daily roast, provolone, and horseradish cream. With onion rings. My family and I went to Parker on a Sunday as we received a text message that there would be free appetizers during football. My aunt called ahead to make sure that the appetizers would be served and the hostess indicated that they would be out. When we got to the restaurant, we were seated in the bar. Thinking the appetizers would be out soon, we ordered our entrees. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich which was extremely juicy and tender! I also ordered Parmesan fries, which were packed with flavor and delicious. My fiancé ordered the Parker burger and Cajun fries, which he said was really good, although he said the fries could have packed a little more of a punch. My cousin ordered the Turkey club with Cajun fries, which he was really impressed with. Although, he also indicated that the fries needed some more flavor. Before our food came out, my aunt asked again about the free appetizers and the waitress said they would be out in the 4th quarter. But the free appetizers did not arrive until after 4th quarter was over and we all finished our meals, so we were all full and did not eat them when they finally arrived after we received our bill. Overall, I think Parker had great food and a good atmosphere but they need to update their advertisement to be more realistic. It seems like they are using free appetizers to entice customers and not fully committing to the promotion. read more

Ok... First, allow me to explain that my husband and I go out with our friends and are basically critics at this point Unfortunately, this place had a too many missed opportunities. - Nobody at hostess stand or anywhere to be seen to greet. I had to venture into the dining room to find somebody to seat us -the lighting was terrible and almost had a depressing blue gray hue to it, not warm and comforting. It was too bright, and the electronic candles on the table were broken. -The menu was all over the place and the food was average. They serve bread only if asked, and it came with a cold dry hummus, which made no sense. Bread and hummus at a bar-like place? It just did not add up. -The bourbon drink was OK but it needed to have a solid ice cube, not to melt as fast, which is a staple to any bourbon drink -The carrot cake itself was good, but the frosting was not cream cheese frosting, which destroyed the whole thing. -The pencil cup to mark your salad remind me of a sushi restaurant not of a dynamic experience that was a little hacks.. but I guess it would be good for lunchtime On a good note , the entire staff was very kind and attempted and knowledgeable. The sides the lighting the place was cute. Not the most original, but it did the job. this place has potential, but needs a better menu and better lighting for sure !...the parking is great. That was the prime reason I went there on this particular day (Mother's Day 2025 ) but service was terrible and the restaurant was not busy. Received an offer for extended happy hour prices so my wife and I headed over to Parker. It's always a great atmosphere and the food was excellent. We spilt a Short rib Mac and Cheese app, I had the Parker Burger and my wife and the short rib dinner with a butternut squash hash. Food was perfectly cooked, tasted great . And service was prompt. We sat at the bar and the bartender was wonderful, helpful and took great care of us. We will be back. Back tonight, had the filet, duck and the Banana Custard. Awesome once again. read more

After dining several times at the Westport restaurant, I decided to give this one a try and I was pleased to see it did not disappoint. This restaurant has a dining area and a bar area with plenty of tables at both. To start they serve you some toasted bread with hummus which is delicious. A nice start to the meal. In our case we chose not to have any apps although they have plenty of options. I had the ribs and my girlfriend had the duck breast. Both of our meals were cooked perfectly. My ribs fell off the bone and were packed with plenty of flavor. It was served with onion rings which were ok, not necessarily the best choice. The duck was delicious as well. A nice sized portion packing plenty of flavor as well. The service was excellent, attentive but not overbearing. We really liked the place and look forward to going back to try other items as well. read more

We were doing work around the house all day and we had planned on cooking this night but when everything was all done we were too tired. My partner said let's go here because it's been several years since we've been here. We were immediately seated when we arrived. We both started off with a glass of wine and we skipped appetizers. Brian, our waiter brought focaccia and white bean dip to start off. The focaccia was good, and the white bean dip was tasty. My partner decided on the rigatoni and I had the meatloaf, you know me I have to try meatloaf everywhere I go. He liked the rigatoni. I thought the meatloaf was very tasty. It was a huge portion. The only thing we wish is if they had a few more selections on the menu. The menu looked about the same since the last time we were there. Been on the road for work for the last 6 months and I still have 2 more months before I can go home. It's to the point where I'm never quite sure of the state or city I'm in. That being written, I found myself in Connecticut on an overcast Sunday afternoon and I was hungry. After perusing YELP for ideas, I finally decided on this place after reviewing their menu. The venue is in a mini mall and most of the places seemed closed. I got there just as it opened - 4 pm and was offered a seat in the bar area or the dining room. Hardwood floors, wooden tables and metal chairs set a very cozy and casual tone. Large windows supplied ambient light from outside on this cloudy day. My server took my drink order and asked if I wanted bread. I did. The bread was warm and was delivered with a spread of white beans and both were delicious and welcomed since I was hungry. I ordered a pear salad to accompany my entree of meatloaf and mash. The pear salad was a delightful mix of varietal lettuces, walnuts and slivers of pear dressed with a vinaigrette. The dressing was a bit vinegary for my taste, but the salad was otherwise quite good and paired well the the meatloaf. THE MEATLOAF! This was the most elegant and delicious meatloaf I've ever had at a restaurant. It was covered with a savory and much elevated brown gravy full of mushrooms and on a bed of perfectly creamed mashed potatoes. About a tablespoon more of potato would have gotten me to the end of the meal with an equal amount of meat and potato. That is my ONLY complaint about this entree. This dish will remain with me as my "go to" comparison for meat loaf. I absolutely loved it - seasoned perfectly, a perfect portion (except for the potatoes ) and the gravy/sauce deserves its' own rave! Often, with meatloaf, one finds inedible pieces of gristle, but not this one. I had the perfect slices. I decided to go for dessert and opted for the Key Lime pie. Sorry, but no raves for it. The pudding part had undissolved granulated sugar bits which I found off putting. I could not finish it. However, my overall experience experience here was very good. My server was attentive and offered to get me another dessert but I declined because I was about to be full at this point. If you are ever in the area and like meatloaf, I highly recommend the one served here. If I were here longer, I would return to try other menu items. read more

We ordered to go. It was my first experience with this location but I love the Trumbull one. I got the bacon burger and my dad got the fish and chips sandwich. We both enjoyed our food. I thought the burger, as always was great. I was afraid that this location would not serve the tasty burgers I love and crave at the Trumbull location but mine was very good and they cooked it medium which is what I asked for. Way to go! Fish and chips which I tried were a teensy bit of a letdown. My dad liked but did not love it and I'd have to agree. Still Parker though! This establishment makes the best Burgers in Connecticut and I am not exaggerating. Both my dad and I agree and as for my friends, the ones who I have taken here love the burgers as well. But like I said, that is the Trumbull one. I did not see a difference in taste of the burgers which reassures me about the Shelton one and now I am eager to come here and see the inside. read more

After a hard time of finding a restaurant with a 4 course meal, I was recommended i come here. We were extremely surprised when driving up to the location on a Friday night that it wasn't crowded at all. We were the only people in the dining area. But because of that, it was more intimate. Our waiter saw us walking up, and had the door open ready for us which was nice. He was very attentive, direct, and nice to us. I only had one major issue and that was the drink i ordered. I got a pear refresher and my husband got an apple margarita. I was expecting the refresher to be refreshing but that was silly of me. even my husband didn't like it. It tasted watered down and too much like alcohol. I asked to order an apple margarita as well and was very thankful that they took it off the bill. I ordered the 4 course meal for myself which consisted of the bruschetta, wedge salad, sea bass, and raspberry ice cream with a lava cake. The bruschetta was delicious. The wedge salad was very good. My waiter said the sea bass was a new item and for it being new, it was cooked very nicely. Seasoned perfectly, crusted nicely, and although I had maybe 2 chewy pieces, it was still very delicious. I just wish there were a bit more tarter. My husband got the prime rib and that was SO delicious the Au ju made it soo good. My dessert was okay. The chocolate cake would not have been palatable without the ice cream though, and my husband agreed. Although because the cake was super moist, dense, and rich, it was almost too rich and gave an almost dry taste to it. It was still delicious but the texture was just all wrong. although when we come back, I will definitely order that peanut butter pie if nothing else catches my eye. My husband ordered it and it was absolute perfection. It wasn't too peanut buttery and the texture was spot on. Over all our experience was very great, and our waiter Bryan was very good. I have been to Parker quite a few times, normally for lunch with clients. The food is decent, but not exactly inexpensive. The atmosphere is rather sterile in the rear of a small upscale strip mall across the parking lot from a Yale Medical building. I decided to come in today (Sunday) to meet a friend to watch a game. They have a bar menu with no prices. I asked the bartender, who apparently was in charge about the prices. His response was "they're all different." I asked him about a couple of items, and he had to actually look them up on the register. Didn't like that, but ok. Then I ordered boneless wings and they were $6 more to order 20 than 12. But I wasn't that hungry. When they came, they were very small cuts of chicken breast and decent. But my main complaint and reason for writing this review was that before I even touched them, I told the bartender that they were much smaller than expected and asked him to change the order to 20. He refused and told me that he would not (or could not). I expressed my displeasure a couple of times and to no avail. This is not the kind of service I am used to. And I certainly don't appreciate it, especially for what they charge to eat here. Please put your prices on the menu and be reasonable. That's all I ask. read more

One of my favorite local places to have a spread of appetizers for a meal. The new Shelton location is beautifully decorated and spacious. Lots of tables inside and outside including a huge bar area. Usually you don't need a reservation and can walk in without a wait. Huge parking lot right outside the restaurant. Some of my favorite items to order are the lamb lollipops (sauce it comes with is amazing!), boneless wings, garlic parm fries, and pear and goat cheese pizza. I almost always opt for the build your own salad if I order an entree because you can customize exactly what you want. The cocktails here are also great and usually made strong. They also have a decent wine list with various options. Perfect spot for a get together with friends and family or a date night! You can also opt to join their text updates and they will send you a text when they're offering happy hour specials or freebies. read more

Came to try the new Parker location. We did not have reservations. That turned out to be no problem as the restaurant was no where near full. The dining room had two or three small tables occupied. The bar had a decent crowd of older people. The restaurant physical presence is a bit sterile, no real theme just glass stainless etc. our server was great. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable. We started with a martini. Drinks were good but don't expect a large pour even at the price they charge. The onion soup was very good. Wings were boneless and ok. The filet tips were very good. I chose the prime rib. While I appreciate chefs who recreate classic dishes with their own spin, the prime rib fell short. It was cooked to temp but weakly seasoned and the portion was small. It was served atop roasted veg including Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. The cauliflower was burnt. The small potatoes were good but there were only two halves lol. No au jus. The horseradish cream was decent although it was quite loose. In short, we probably won't go back due to the pricing for what you get. read more

Have eaten at Parker many times, until last night though always at the Oronoque Plaza location before they moved to River Rd. The new building is much larger than before with a classy industrial feel, which is very spacious and comfortable. I've never eaten a bad meal here but I think my favorite dishes are the custom salads that you select via a checklist of greens, proteins, cheeses and other extras. Their salmon is particularly good; crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and a generous portion. Their sweet potato fries are excellent as is their short rib grilled cheese. Last night I had their Cajun salmon and spinach which was delicious. No pictures unfortunately as it was a business dinner and it didn't seem appropriate. One star lost for slow service and the fact that they don't offer the awesome ciabatta and hummus that they have as appetizer for the table unless you ask, which I heartily suggest you do! read more

We went to dinner here on a Saturday night, it wasn't to crowded and we didn't have to wait. We sat at a high top in the bar. The food was good, Steak egg roll appetizer was phenomenal, I kept thinking about even while eating the deli out peanut butter pie! Entrees were devious, well cooked. Mash potatoes fell short of the mark though, a bit bland. Service was spotty, attentive at times, and lazy at others. All in all, good food, good time. read more

Updating my review for their new location. Bumping it up to 4 stars due to the great service and the nice outdoor seating. The food we ordered was great but it bit pricey. If you are familiar with the salads they serve at Temple Grill in New Haven they have the same thing here which is what we went for. The salad was great and I'll go back again but I just wish they were a little less expensive. They give you a salad card and you choose what you want for $18.00 and it's large, a full meal but still $18.00 really? I ordered mine with flank steak which they did not ask how I wanted it cooked. It was served medium well I would have ordered medium if I had been asked. It was good anyway. My girl had the grilled chicken which I don't usually like but I found it to be very good and very moist. We each ordered a drink, she ordered bourbon and I a vodka and the drinks were $12.00 each which again I thought $10. Would have been a more fair price. Two large salads Two drinks with alcohol and it cost $ 63.00 before a tip. I would visit again but if cheaper I would visit more often. One of my BFFs works for Sikorsky...so we often end up here after work (or on a Sunday....more on that in a bit.) VERY small place. The bar is definitely the focal point of the whole restaurant--with the out of place disco ball over it (who knows.) Anyways...solid bar, nice bartenders decent food. They have duck on the menu...and when it came out correctly cooked, moist and delicious, I was a happy girl. My friends have had the burgers and always seem happy with those. Sundays....they do half price bottles of wine. They have a small wine list, but if you are looking to have a nice little girls night (or chill date night), it's worth checking out. read more

I came prepared to like this place. But what a strange lunch experience I had. I ordered a French Dip sandwich for $12. Then it came out. Without any accompanying side. No fries? Cole slaw? Anything? Bueller? Nope. Apparently, fries don't come with that PARTICULAR sandwich but with others. Won't find that on the menu though. My server neglected to tell me too or offer to add them. And I didn't need fries coming out 5-10 minutes after I was done eating the sandwich. As to the sandwich, it was just ok. It was served on what seemed to be foccacia bread. It didn't hold up to the sauce of the dip and was already soggy at the bottom. There's a reason hard rolls are used for this type of sandwich. The meat was fine, but at that point, I lost interest. My companion's chicken caesar salad should have been a "salad mix" for $12, but somehow got charged $14 for it even though its not on the menu. It's not a $14 salad. Just saying. And what's disappointing is that this place appears to have much potential despite its strip mall placement. But experiences like this will leave me checking out others places. No one wants to feel like they're being used at the restaurant. read more

I will kickoff this review by saying our server Brianna was marvelous....TOP NOTCH. she was attentive and considerate of our dining experience, RARE these days. SHE gets 5 Stars First off we ordered the private reserve wine, a Pinot and it was first rate. Starter was grilled shrimp delish and complimentary foccacia and white bean hummus YUMMY. After that we split a pear salad it was dressed flawlessly and was refreshing. Entrees were crab cakes and French dip sandwich really pleasant. Overall the food is great and my family & I enjoy eating here often. However, this isn't the best restaurant for takeout. Recently they have included a 10% service fee on their takeout which is uncalled for, especially that it is not mentioned on their website or over the phone when placing a takeout order. Secondly, their menu online is incorrect which the staff isn't aware of. Hopefully things change, just beware of these things when ordering takeout. read more

Just ate here tn after stopping by for Business and I wish I Hadn't. Got sold by decent yelp reviews and a good sounding menu. The steak was the worst steak I've ever been served period. Asked for medium rare and got a microwaved well done steak. Aw man it was awful. I almost called them to voice my dissatisfaction and see if they'd bring me another steak to the hotel but i knew they wouldn't bother and I was too tired to go back out. Thankfully there is yelp so I can tell travelers not to waste their time here. There's a pizza place right down the rd with much better food. My husband and I were invited to dinner at the Parker Eatery last Friday night with friends. We had a reservation, which really wasn't needed. The place was pretty empty at 8:00. The host was very friendly and the service was great. We were seated in a cozy booth in the corner. The atmosphere was casual/trendy. We ordered calamari and the macho nachos. I thought the calamari was a little too fishy for me, but the rest of our group liked them. The nachos were fabulous. For my entree, I ordered the duck with risotto. The duck was delicious, but I didn't care for the risotto. Two people ordered the ribs, which were fall off the bone. They both raved about them, so I had to try. They were the best ribs I've ever had at a restaurant. They all had the sweet potato fries, which were very good. They have a good selection of beers on tap. I would definitely go back and I recommend it to others. I'm surprised it was so empty. Maybe people were preparing the the snow storm coming the next day. read more

I started with a clam casino pie and then had The Parker burger. Had only two slices of the small pie to leave room for the burger. It was very difficult since it was so good but I kept to 2 slices. I had sweet potato fries with the burger. The burger was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The fries seemed fresh cut but likely not since they were not as sweet as expected but still good. I would suggest a sweet dipping sauce be available but that's just me being picky. read more
