Chilis to me is like an overpriced fast food experience. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. The drinks are good and the monthly special for $6 is a good deal. The food though is not great especially for the price. This is Zachary though and there aren't many food options or sit down restaurants to choose from. I stopped by to watch the Cowboys Vs Eagles SNF game. One huge problem with this chilis is it's ambiance. As I walk in to a restaurant of 2-3 other parties at the time, there is no hosstess...and the young lady at the bar who ends up being one of my waitresses tells me that I can sit anywhere I'd like after standing at the door for about 5 minutes. Looking around the restaurant, there are 4 empty tables with a bunch of empty plates and trash indicative of people dining there. They had seemed to be sitting there for a long time and even seemed to be previously meddled with by staff members because the trash was sitting on the table very organized. I was at this chilis for about an hour and a half and this trash and tables didn't get cleaned until maybe the one hour and 10 minute mark. Chilis, this restaurant already prefers to sit people on the side of the restaurant near the bar (smaller side) and if you guys aren't cleaning up tables when parties leave, it makes for a very trashy and almost claustrophobically trashy experience. I truly do appreciate an employee coming to clean these tables at all after such a long time during my visit. Even with this trash gone, the entire restaurant just looked a little dirty in different places. If a day is taken to just clean the payment tablets, floors, get new sauce bottles and utensils, and then you guys advertise all of these things to the community....I'm sure upon reopening after this deep cleaning there will be a whole lot more people comfortable with eating in the restaurant. It doesn't smell or look the worst but it also doesn't smell or look the best. But it's at a point now to where I overhear workers in the back complaining when people show up at the door, so maybe they don't want more people eating inside. Do they leave the trash on tables to discourage people entering from trying to get a table? The takeout option for this chilis is quite popular upon observation. There is one lady I would say she is the manager or someone dealing with quality control but she comes around at points now to ensure that parties have drinks, utensils and that orders were placed correctly. So I do appreciate that lady visibly holding things together and cleaning up awkward encounters that workers may have with customers. At about 9 pm, employees just began telling people that a 45 minute wait was in affect because waiters already were dealing with enough tables. Besides myself, there were 2 at one table, 2 men at another, and 2 more sets of young people at two more tables. At the very last set of mentioned young people, they didn't even order anything besides drinks. Call it weird but I'm trying to paint an accurate scene for people looking to spend money and time here. This chilis has proven over and over to not be able to handle a high frequency of parties and waste your time. Texas cheese fries were slightly less overdone than last time and good. The fajita trio is good value and was seasoned wonderfully. The beans were a little cold upon receiving. The rice was super salty. Santa's stache is a great drink for $6...chilis has always had good seasonal drinks. This chilis is risky business...but after getting comfortable I can say that the food was pretty good today. Much appreciation and love to the staff. I'm saying 2/5 but it's a hard 2.7/5 today. read more

Chili's has definitely stepped up their menu over the recent years. I enjoyed my experience at the Zachary location. Our waitress was extremely generous and attentive. I ordered the honey chipotle chicken crispers which was divine. The sauce was the perfect touch to the chicken crispers. I ordered the loaded mash potatoes and asparagus as my sides. The asparagus were delicious. They had the perfect amount of flavor. I can't wait to visit again. read more

I am done with Chili's. I am tired of the ever shrinking portions and ever climbing prices. I only ordered Southwest Egg Rolls today, which have risen another dollar within the past few weeks, and have shrunken in girth and length again. I asked for extra dressing like usual, and was forced to pay $2 more for way more dressing than I needed, when adequate dressing should be included with the egg rolls. They know that giving 2 of the tiniest size ramekins of dressing is not enough for 4 egg rolls, but they do it because they can. Just an order of Southwest egg rolls cost me over $18, when I could have had an entree and sides at an actual nice restaurant.Then, I always go to take-out and order on the spot to make sure that I get hot food, but I got a text within 5 minutes, because they obviously gave me some egg rolls that had been sitting around. They were lukewarm, with no crunch left at all. I just cannot deal with the low-quality, low-effort greed anymore. I could not get my horrible decision to waste my money at Chilis off of my mind once I paid the $18. The only thing that was nice was the courteous male employee who handed me my bag. Chilis Southwest Egg Rolls come pre-rolled and frozen, they are not worth $18. read more

I ordered 3 for me meal and asked for double patty Oldtimer w/Cheese I'll pay the up charge for extra meat . omgosh! looks like a breakfast sausage patty. It did not look like the photo on menu. I sent my order back , the manager tried to explain that it does not come as two full size meat Patties unless I request two full size meat patty I said well what I ordered is what I see is on the menu and it should look like what is advertised and it does not specify request for full patty sizes. Then she changed the story and said because I ordered a 3 for me meal deal , patty sizes are different. If it's different then why he has the same meat I have? I showed manager my brother burger that he ordered the Alex Santa Fe. (Which is the third photo I posted ) I said our burger has the same thin patty the Menu does not specify patty sizes and I should request for sizes. She said " Oh ! You are right they look the same, I'm sorry " 10 min later manager offered to remake it with full Patty sizes but I declined bec I was full from disappointment. SMH! read more

Oh my God! This is the worst place to order food from. I don't know if they can't read what you put in for you order or they just don't care(putting it nicely). I know that sometimes one may be off but this is ridiculous. And when you call back to tell them that the order was not done correctly he gets an attitude and leave you on hold for 20 minutes. Ridiculous. Things need to be done better than this. Food not that good, service is horrible, and they need to be shut down. They would not want to be treated like this if they go somewhere to eat. read more

My party of two was told we would have a 45 minute wait to be seated when there was no line at the door and there were numerous open tables. The restaurant had two large parties (15+ people) at the time, but I feel the restaurant should have been able to accommodate a normal customer load. As I said, there were numerous open booths and tables. I question the management of this establishment. I did ask the manager, and he complained that he only had three cooks on shift. This is the best pasta I've had this far. I'm from NOLA & chilis out here don't even do it this good. The wait time tho was a problem. Surprisingly we had good service we sat in the bar area. I haven't been in years . Our server was very attentive. The food has changed a bit since I've came . I ended up ordering the appetizer where you get your choice of three items which I choose bone in buffalo wings , southwest rolls , and cheese curds. My mom got the $10 lunch deal that came with your drink and choice of meal and side. She choose a chicken pasta and a bowl of chili. My food was good I didn't really enjoy the cheese curds but my mom loved them . I should have got double wings lol. My mom liked the chili she didn't care for the pasta that much . But she brought it home for her grandson and he loved it! I will be back before the service has improved and the food was pretty good as well. read more

I've eaten at several "Chili's" over the years from Alaska to Florida to California, not a big fan of the chain. Just ate at the one in Zachary, Lousiana, this one has to be the worst. 2 for $25 right, yeah, not worth it! Then they tried to charge us for everything separately. I walked in at 12:36pm for lunch and there was no one at the front door to greet guests. After waiting almost an hour, at 13:36pm, someone finally made their way to check on me and 2 other people that were waiting to get seated, even though the place was relatively empty. The level of cleanliness wasn't great, but it could have been better. I ordered a Coke, and at 13:40pm, I still hadn't received it, and didn't get it until 13:50pm. We have visited the Zachary Chili's several times and have never been impressed. The food is good, but the service is bad, and apparently they share their women's restroom with a truck stop (so I have been told several times, though I can only vouch for the men's room, which is ok). Yesterday was a prime example of our experiences there. I enter the restaurant and there is no one to greet me. I wait. I wait. I open the door for some ladies as they leave. I wait. I open the door for another departing lady. I wait. Finally someone comes and seats me...even though I have watched as several employees with their "MARG Madness" shirts went by. Then we were seated for a goodly while before our waitress came. Then we got a good wait for her to come back. Then she got our order wrong. Then we got to wait some more for our check and some to go boxes. This isn't a one time thing, it has been fairly consistent with our visits there. Even ordering ahead to pick up has been bad. Once I placed an order to pick up, ready in 30 minutes--30 minutes later I was at the restaurant and was treated to an hour long wait. Again, we like the food. And they participate in an airline loyalty program that I belong to, so I get miles to eat there. Otherwise I would not be going back. read more

My waiter was great, the food was ok but not good enough for more than 3 1/2 stars. I think but the price was great though. I had the 3 for $10 and you can't beat that price it included my unlimited sweet tea, a bowl of chili topped with lots of cheese then a bigger bowl of Cajun chicken pasta Alfredo so I'm giving it 4 stars. I always come to this chilis the food is great but the black manager with braids touches the french fries with her bare hands after I watched her several times touching her ear and rubbing her eyes. YUCK. After watching everyone else scoop the fries with the fry scooper I was just disgusted. Not to mention she stuck her hands in the customers plate's eating there fries before bringing it to them. The wait at Chili's is always insane. The only thing that they have going for them is their good food and occasionally nice service. I've waited 2+ hours dine-in and a little less than 1 hour when doing even take-out (and ordering ahead of time). The food is mediocre compared to other options nearby. However, if the wait time was less, I'd probably give Chili's 4 or 5 stars. If you have several hours to wait and truly want Chili's, then go for it. However, don't go out of your way for this and see other nearby options. read more

Do not order pick up from this location... they had me waiting 30 minutes on a cheesecake. Someone else said they had been there for an hour waiting for their order. I left the restaurant without my cheesecake and I won't order from here again. read more

So we arrived at 10:00 pm and stood at the front were there was no hostess or greeter for at least 20 mins then a lady came from the back stating they were cleaning tables and it would take 15 mins. The management apparently can't get help at any price because we were served by a woman with the worst case of meth mouth I've ever seen. The service is incredibly slow, the restaurant is not particularly clean and the number of people on a Friday night indicates that word has gotten out that you never get your food and when you do it will be cold and dreadful. What is going on with restaurants these days? The workers at this particular chili's location apparently do not care or have pride in their work. I went in 45 minutes before closing...the first thing I hear is a comment from the expediter referring to customers saying, "omg, they are still coming in." The bar server was friendly. I placed my order with her, but she brought me microwaved, thick and tasteless queso dip, brown chips that were stained from dirty fry oil, and soggy chicken 'crispers'. The food was terrible and made me lose my appetite. I really hope that this is addressed and they get their stuff together. As a long time customer and past employee of Brinker, I am really put off. I have been here countless times and sad to say I have rarely gotten excellent service either the menu has been drastically altered because they were out of this item or out of this item and if they had food when I got it either it was cold or warm at best so I can't give high praise like I would love to, because when I first starting coming her last year the food was great always hot, well seasoned and the customer service staff was great now not so much. I want to love this restaurant but the decent to bad experiences have not allowed me to do so. NEVER AGAIN! We really didn't have high expectations to begin with, based on previous visits, but damn! Brinker Corp. needs to shut down this location. I'm a former Chili-head and my husband is a chef (not at Chili's) so we know the restaurant industry. We're on 3 strikes with this place. Waited forever today even though we were an early table. Had to ask a manager to check on our order. When the food finally came, we could tell it had been sitting under the heat lamp for a long time. The plates were scalding - couldn't even touch them, the one piece of lettuce on my husband's burger was wilted, my son's burger was too hot to hold and the ranch that came with my egg rolls was curdled from the heat. You know the score when you go to Chili's. The menu is always the same no matter where you go. But this location is notorious for having poor service and inconsistent food. Once got a chicken dish and rhey forgot the chicken. Oops. Though not every experience has been bad, the lack of consistency makes me unlikely to go back. The Good: The location is convenient. The restaurant is always clean. The Bad: Food is inconsistent. Service is often poor. Wait staff are slow.
