Awesome staff and the inside was clean with a Christmas tree but the burger I ordered to go was just fried absolutely too hard. So tough to chew, it was fried like a pan sausage. I forgot to make sure they gave me lettuce, tomato and pickle but none of that would've helped the burger. The waffle I ordered alongside with it was very nice. read more

We went Saturday, April 25 around 12:30 PM. When we walked in, very few customers were seated, so we thought it would be a quick service meal. No one greeted us or said anything to us. The next thing we heard was loud arguing from the staff. This made us uncomfortable, but we decided to ignore it; however, shortly afterwards, several of the staff walked to the back and stood at the door right by our table. They proceeded to loudly use the "F" word. This is absolutely unacceptable. We put down our menus and got up to leave. One of the staff members who wasn't involved in the cursing told us they were sorry for our wait and realized no one even acknowledged we were in the building; however, it was too late for me. We love Waffle House however not This One. They have a totally incompetent staff!! They not only can't manage the cooking routine but they also completely ignore their customers! We have sat there for at least 10 minutes (not a crowded time) being totally ignored. We just walked out. This has occurred on one or more occasions. read more

Great breakfast served 24-7. Great prices and good chicken sandwich, actually all the sandwiches are pretty decent and the prices don't break the bank. Got here tonight and they were super short staffed. Only 1 server and 1 cook to do everything. All I can say was once I got a table my food was cooked fast and served piping hot, my server was excellent and she was the server for everybody in the place as well as the cashier and the person taking the to go orders. The cook was doing a great job. Neither of them had time to take a breath! It's a shame and sad that nobody wants to work anymore. But these two employees worked their asses off! read more

Typical WH location with the exception of the staff. Every time I ordered food to go it was always hot and fresh when I arrived. I probably ordered breakfast here six or seven times in my 13 months in the area. The food was always very good and the staff always very courteous and friendly. read more

Swore off Zachary Waffle House when it first opened because our waitress was bullied by other waitresses, causing our order to keep being pushed back to end of line of waitresses lined up to present orders to cooks. However, no other restaurants in Zachary serving breakfast so decided to try it again. Old system of getting order placed with kitchen changed, so we were served promptly and food served hot. Waitress pleasant and efficient. Crying baby not pleasant, but, after all, is Waffle House and seated elbow to elbow (next to nice couple). read more

Today my husband and I had an amazing experience at Waffle House. It's been a very long time since we've been but we decided to give them a try again. The restaurant was amazingly clean, the staff were all simply amazing and the food was very very tasty. I highly advise everyone to give them a shot again. You won't be disappointed! My latest visit to a House of Waffles...this one in Zak'ry, LA....just finished burning some powder and putting some rounds downrange with my children and niece...Great day shooting .22s, .38s, .357 Mags, 9 mms & .45 ACPs....REALLY works up a powerful hunger!!! Both kids, the niece and me were quite hungry after coming out of the woods of E. Feliciana Parish and when Yelp showed a WH in Zak'ry everybody was 1 voice on stopping for some tasty grub... Hit the WH on Main Street and filled our bellys with some tasty vittles...I got my usual (check the photo I put up) but them grits baby girl & the boy got looked damn tasty....the niece went with a waffle and we all chowed down and left satisfied!! Food was cooked to perfection & service was outstanding as I've come to expect from WH'S across the great state of LA!! If I'm back in Zak'ry I'll definitely be stopping in if I'm feeling the urge!! read more

Rude service and I will not be returning . The workers are even cussing in here in front of customers. Very unprofessional this place is also filthy . When I tried to order a chicken breast , large hash brown with cheese and jalapeños, and raw onions and pickles on the side. She put me for the chicken dinner $9.10 . I told her I wanted it al la carte she said it's the same price rudely . I said no Mam it's cheaper . She continued to repeat over and over it's the same price but she will do it however You want with a attitude. Finally I asked her how much the chicken breast was cost and it was $3.80she said I gotta do charge you for the raw onions and pickles . I told her I hAve never been charged but never mind I'll use my onions at home . Then she refused to give me a itemized receipt. Given one star just because the building was standing, but so was the staff so there's that. My wife and I walked in unacknowledged,stood for a few minutes in a mostly empty restaurant. I seen that every table had dirty dishes on them, but the staff was just kinda standing around. So we left, came down the road to a place called Vaqueros Bar and grill- we made a good choice. The Waffle House in Zachary is of their own! we're not from here. At least the people working nights really could care less if you're there or not, so don't go in the evening... Go to Vaqueros, these folks are great, the service was really good and our food was brought to us timely and was really good. Well, it's waffle house. Normally, I love waffle house but this location has some downsides. The staff isn't very friendly and are never in any kind of hurry. It isn't uncommon to be seated for up to 5 minutes before even getting a menu. You sometimes even have to ask for one. The food is good once it is done though. This place is one of only two places open 24 hours in Zachary, the other being Burger King. read more

I miss the staff that was there's 4 years ago. It was organized, clean and good friendly service and cooks. Now this place is always trashed out, cooks are quitting on them on the spot leaving one waitress by herself( poor girl) that was ridiculous. And where were management at that time?? Thank goodness for waffle house being open on this holiday. I spontaneously asked my family to go out and eat tonight and we were all having a "breakfast for dinner" moment. It was so good and it really hit the spot. I love to get the texas toast breakfast sandwich with a cheesy onion hashbrown. In the end I got a waffle too. It was all delicious, everyone liked their food. The service was also great. We did have a moment wondering if she'd forgotten the ham and bacon but all of that was still on its way. The Zachary Waffle House is one of the best waffle houses I've ever been too! The staff and waitresses are very friendly, nice and seem glad to see you! Food was gud! Service was great! Other apps had poor reviews due to dissension among the employees. The only evidence of that was only when the manger (Nettie) treated the employees in a unduly harsh manner. Then the employees still conducted themselves in a very professional manner it's just that the setup allows the customer to see what happens in the kitchen. Employees will follow the lead. Good service (imho) often is led by great managers. I've never worked in a Restaurant but I've been a worker, a manager, a GM, and I'm a service Nazi when it comes to any service related industry. I've given 5 stars instead of 4 Bc of the employees. I hope the owner and/or corporate reads this and takes steps to improve Bc this could be a great restaurant. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Service was absolutely horrendous - food was good - but this woman took almost 2 hours to get our order & bring food - had to remind her every step of the way - while she wandered around the store doing nothing. The other services and customers not in her assigned area did not receive this kind of treatment. It made us over 2 hours to get back to the job down the street - ridiculous. We reported her to the main office. She needs a new job. The food itself - when we got it - if it was correct - was good! For the first time in my life (and I have managed very nice restaurant/bar staff) left a $1 tip. Go to Walker - NOT here. They need to review wait staff and management. I gave only one star, only because its not possible to give negative stars. It was the worst experience. The service was awful, the food was awful. The cooks and manager yelled the entire time, when they weren't banging the plates and silverware. The ceiling was leaking on the tables. Staff was busy on their phones until the manager YELLED at them. We will never return! read more

Tried to call for a take out order and was on hold for 18 minutes. Since it is right around the corner I went there to place my order instead. They ended up giving me the wrong order.
