Over the years, Julia has designed both professional (logo) and personal cookies for me. I ordered amazing zoo-themed cookies for my kiddo's 1st birthday (at the zoo), Mickey-inspired cookies for his 3rd birthday, as well as custom-designed cookies for each child at an adoption party and Game of Thrones and Little Prince cookies. In all cases, I was able to pick from a variety of flavors (celebration and gingerbread are my favorites), and I was absolutely blown away by the attention to detail in the designs, as well as the freshness. I recently placed a larger order of cookies with my company's logo, which I took to a work trip, and they were a huge hit. Julia also made sure to individually package each cookie in a box with bubble wrap so they wouldn't get destroyed in my suitcase! Ordering is so simple and done through the website, and someone contacts you about details and pick-up and/or delivery. I opt to pick them up from their Redmond location. I have never had any issues with an ordering not being completed by the date promised; in fact, I am surprised at how quickly they are made! I highly recommend Raining Cookies to all of my friends and colleagues. The people I've recommended to Julia have always been very satisfied. Orders prices are very reasonable for what you get. I did order 50 assorted soft drinks and water which were $2 each. That seems reasonable. They should be ashamed of themselves. If anyone thinks I'm wrong please let me know. Now, Mang loves vanilla cake with vanilla icing. Yes. Plain ol' vanilla done right is amazing. I wrote to LDC and asked if they could make an all-butter, vanilla cake for me, seeing that the people I'd be celebrating with have allergies and butter is the safest oil. They assured me that it would be no problem. I went to pick up the cake, and was surprised that the process was disorganized. Okay, well, I'll just take my cake. After a long wait, I got said cake. I was so excited when I got it home--it was beautiful! They took great care in decorating it. We cut it, and then began the disappointment. The cake tasted burnt, though it only was a deep brown. It was overdone, for sure. If I'd baked it, I would have trimmed off the top, bottom, and sides. The buttercream was decent, but the burnt flavor overwhelmed everything else.
