I use to be undecided about birria tijuana. the beans and rice are fantastic. I think the problem that I originally had is that I didn't know what to order. Anyone who comes here needs to order the chicken soft (suave) tacos. they are amazing with so much chicken that one taco with sides is a full meal. I love this taco truck. Just make sure you know whether you are ordering fried tacos or suave street tacos. Also, you might want to add "queso blanco" to your tacos. Cheese isn't normally found on traditional Mexican street tacos. read more

I've already written about their brick and mortar Burien location, but it's great to have them on the Eastside; even if it's a food truck version. The cheese tacos are always my go to order, approx $4/taco, packed and dense with filling. Don't skip out on the green or red sauces either. My only gripe would be to eat the food fresh as it gets soggy being steamed up in a box. There's picnic tables, but the food truck is parked behind a gas station and auto collision shop; better off taking the food to a nearby park. read more

Our neighborhood FB group went bonkers that a Birrieria Tijuana taco truck opened in our area, their 9th location in WA. Naturally, I had to try them. To find the taco truck, drive to the address. The first thing you'll see is a Shell gas station at the triangle corner where 100th Ave NE forks to Juanita Woodinville Way NE. The taco truck is behind the gas station. I tried calling ahead to place the order before going, but I couldn't understand his question(s). We hung up and drove over instead. Luckily, there was no line, and we placed our order and was told a 10 minutes wait. Several cars arrived soon after us, but they appear to be quite fast. The Food: I couldn't decide what to order, so we ordered the Birria Pack for $50. The guy looked at us and said, "It is a lot of food." Ok. When we arrived home and open the container, it IS a lot of food!! The menu isn't specific about what is included in the pack, so here goes: 6 Crunchy Tacos, $3 each = $18 5 Cheese Tacos, $4 each = $20 Asada Fries, $14 (This is a BIG pile.) 2 Consome, $4 each = $8 value Churros filled with dulce de leche, 6 pcs, served with ice cream = $8.99 $68.99 total value for $50. It is a GOOD deal. We didn't specify the meat, and they gave us birria, shredded chucks of beef for all them, which is perfectly fine with us. The meat is a little dry as someone else mentioned. We dipped the tacos in the consome, but that was oily at the top so that just made the tacos oily. The best approach is using the included salsas; they added a lot of flavors and helped the beef. The grilled onions were passing, nothing special. The grilled peppers were surprisingly very spicy. I have a high spice tolerance, and that particular batch caught me off-guard. (Peppers naturally vary in spiciness; yours may not be as spicy. Just a heads-up and approach with caution.) All the above food items fit in the large foil pan in my photo. For reheat on day 2 and after, we microwaved tacos and then air-fried. They re-heated very well. Tip: If you are not eating the churros right away, consider bringing a clean produce type of small plastic bag with you to put in the entire churros cup. Along the drive home, the churros were banging against each other; I was holding the cup and was covered in sugar as a result. This review is closer to a 4.5 Stars due to the cost and fast service. But the meat could be slightly better - less dry. read more

Come here, get the "cheese taco" (birria and melted cheese) and you will be a happy camper. They come with a grilled jalapeño and grilled onions as well as raw red onions and a lime wedge. Two of them are quite filling and at $4 a pop it's a meal for under $10. The truck is at a gas station, and although they have a few picnic benches, it's not really the type of spot where you hang out and eat. We heard of this food truck from another Yelp Elite, and we had to try it. We got cheese tacos with chorizo and shrimp. All out tacos were great, we loved them. We also got consume, it was delicious. I finished the entire bowl with nothing left for my hubby. We also got churros, it came with strawberry ice cream. The churros were great, warm, and it had a caramel filling. Okay spot if you're in the area but I wouldn't return. Food was okay but a bit soggy as there was too much oil. I personally like some grease and oil but this was too much. Mulitas usually have avocado inside so I was a bit sad that was missing and the onions and cilantro are in a side bag and you aren't given enough. Meat was cooked well. I asked for extra salsa verde but received none in my to go bag sadly. Employees are friendly. Two tables outside with plenty of free parking. I won't be returning as I've had far better Mulitas elsewhere. read more

Today I finally stopped by Birrieria TIjuana Kirkland. Can I just tell you that the truck is pretty impressive to look at from the road. It definitely catches one's attention. I didn't really have anything in particular that I wanted to try, so I decided on a Birrieria Burrito and a beef Torta for my coworker. I didn't want to get my hopes up as this is a new experience. Can I just say that the service was very professional and expeditious. The truck and their workstation look to be very well kept and cleanly. Needless to say that the place is legit. Now, to be honest I did have a bit of sticker shock with my purchase. That was until i got back to work and unpacked my well packaged lunch. My coworker and I both were in utter shock with the portion sizes. You will be quite happy and realize that the money spent was/is a great value. I will be eating the other half as either dinner and or lunch the next day. The food is well prepared, great flavors and presentation will have you coming back again to try out the other menu items. I had seen this food truck many times, and I had an opportunity to stop and pick up lunch. The menu selection is very generous with selections. The crew in the truck are very polite and quick to take your order. They were extremely busy and a little bit of waiting is required. I selected the Birria Pack that came with 10 or so stuffed tacos, birria fries, consomme and a churro dessert. The price is very reasonable since it will easily feed 4. The ordering area has a canopy for waiting for your food. The only thing was the birria tacos were a little bit dry even after dipping them. I might have gotten an off batch, and I am sure that I will have to try them again. Just to make sure and taste the other selections as well. You can't miss the lights. They have lots of lights on their truck. They're tucked behind the gas station in North Juanita. The crew was polite and they answered our questions since this was our first time visiting them. My family and I ordered a Barilla Quesadilla, Barilla Pizza, and 1 Crunchy, and One Soft Taco. They forgot our Pizza, so we can't comment on the taste of that one. I highly recommend that you check your order before you leave if you are doing takeout. My husband and son ended up sharing the Quesadilla and it worked out because it was fairly large. My two tacos (one crunchy and one soft) were identical. I was almost wondering if they thought I wanted two soft tacos. If there was a crunchy taco, it was pretty soggy by the time I ate it and it was like a soft taco. The taste was good, but I had a terrible bout with food poisoning. It wasn't the Barilla because they had the same meat in my son's Quesadilla, but something in my tacos made me really sick. My husband said he would go there again, but I have to pass. I say be careful when going here but from all the other reviews, it seems like everyone else has been having a good experience. So this food truck is the same as the restaurant in Everette and Burien. I cannot explain how hyped I was to see them in Kirkland!! Took my family to one of their locations because, people they have the BEST birrieria tacos hands down. I've tried a few here and there but the portions, flavor and the consommé ooofff my goodness it is something else!! So yes they have a big big menu and I finally got to try the ramen it was so good and OMG such a big portion, flavorful and hits the spot. I usually rave about this place... they've had the best al pastor tacos in town for as long as I can remember. Perfectly grilled meat, rich dark-red color, crisp edges, with that smoky flavor that makes them unforgettable. I always get a side bag of onions, cilantro, lime, and some salsa -- it's part of the experience. But tonight was a total letdown. I ordered al pastor like I always do, but the moment I opened the box, I knew something was off. The meat looked pale, mushy, and completely waterlogged. The tortillas couldn't even hold together... they just tore apart from the moisture. I saw some pineapple in there, so I figured it was al pastor -- just barely recognizable. It honestly felt like a completely different recipe, or maybe it was just way over-marinated. Either way, the texture was so off-putting I couldn't even finish one. Out of six tacos, five ended up in the trash. I also ordered birria in my soft tacos (since they were out of chicken and carne asada), and I asked them to keep it simple -- just like their usual soft tacos, but with birria meat. Instead, they gave me birria-style tacos dipped in consommé and fried -- not what I wanted at all. No salsa. No cilantro/onion bags. And the staff tonight? Not the usual crew I see. Whoever was cooking tonight (August 27th around 8:00 p.m.) seriously dropped the ball. That batch of al pastor was the worst I've ever had in my life. Whoever made it needs to be retrained -- or replaced -- because this was completely unacceptable for a place that usually sets the bar. I'm honestly sick to my stomach right now. This is (or was) my favorite taco truck in town. I really hope this was just a one-time fluke... because tonight was awful. read more

Every birrieria food truck I've gone to is amazing so I came in with high hopes. All the food was very good, the birria pizza was HUGE, you can feed at least 2 people with it. It was dry as most are, but the consume made it perfect!! I recommend getting the consume no matter what you get, you can dip anything in it and it just gives it that juicy meat taste. The horchata was good as well! A little grainy which I don't love but it was very good and finished within 15 minutes. The churros were definitely one of the best churros I've gotten in Washington, they were soft Ik the middle not just hollow. The service was great, they were all sweet and very quick with our order. I tried the cheese tacos- one of each meat except chorizo since they ran out, and their consumè. That dip was the most overrated thing I had. I'll stick to just the free salsa next time. It was pretty expensive but the taste was alright for each meat and they didn't skimp on it. It does suck they don't list prices, so if you're a Walmart shopper you probably can't afford this place. 3 of the tacos will make you full. I liked that they packed the onions/cilantro separately. People complain about the greasiness, but what do you expect? They're effing cheese tacos, have some common sense. I'll be back to try the churros next. read more

I would have not ordered from here if I would have known that, the whole point of a birria taco is to dunk and wash it down with consome. Disappointed by Overcharging. I recently visited Birrieria Tijuana in North Kirkland drawn in by the great reviews and the menu on their website, which had reasonable prices. However, when I ordered at the truck, I was surprised to find that I was charged more than what was listed online. The difference wasn't huge, but it's frustrating when businesses don't show customers their prices. While the food was excellent, this kind of inconsistency leaves a bad taste in your mouth. We ordered 3 tacos, which were the only item with a listed price ($3 each), and a burrito. the total came out to $26. It's definitely a great spot, and I enjoyed the food, but next time I'll be sure to ask for the prices upfront. Lesson learned! read more

I ordered the cheese birria taco, a crispy birria taco, and the soft birria taco. I also ordered a side of beans and rice cause that's how i roll. Anyways, the birria was flavorful and juicy and definitely worth coming back for again. The cheese and the crispy tacos were my favorites and were perfectly crispy filled with warm, juicy birria. First off: Somebody needs to correct the spelling! It's BIRRIERIA TIJUANA. I too was browsing through local happenings on Facebook, and someone created a post about this place. It so happened, I was particularly hungry at the moment, and I needed to make/provide our dinner quickly. The pictures and description immediately got my attention, and as luck would have it, it's really close by! I wasn't exactly sure where, but I figured it couldn't be too difficult to spot. I slowly cruised the by the address, and the bright lights marked the spot. I was surprised that there was only one customer at the moment, but that soon changed. I asked a couple of questions, and was told that the consommé is the perfect accompaniment to the Birria Cheese taco.. I got two tacos and another open face thing that sounded good. The folks were really friendly and helpful, and my food was ready quickly. I was surprised at how reasonably priced for a healthy amount of food. It easily fed the 2 of us. The menu is pretty extensive. Plenty to try out in the future. By now, there were more customers arriving.. no doubt more Facebook readers! It was really a tasty meal.. Second time coming here and I'm genuinely surprised to why no one's here on a Wednesday evening. The food in my opinion is one of the best if not the best Hispanic food to get in WA. Coming from Texas I've been trying to find a place and this is it. It might be a food truck but who cares when the food is that good.
