My car after the repair, which took 5 days.
Navin K.

It's never fun when one has to take a beloved vehicle in for repair, but if you take it to Chilton, you will likely leave a happy customer, like I did. Three things stood out for me in my recent experience: 1. Prompt same day response from Stacey Garcia when I came in for a repair estimate. The estimate was competitive with offers I received from other repair shops in the area. 2. Repairs were scheduled quickly, finished on time, and regular text updates were provided, plus Stacey called me a couple of times as well. 3. Isaac worked on my car repair and it was flawless, plus he did it $200 below budget. What more can you ask for? Thank you Stacey, Isaac, and the Chilton team for taking care of us.

I had a small dent on my bumper. They were able to fix it without changing the bump and did a great job can't even tell.

Don't do that. After I wisely had my car towed home instead, I took a deep breath, talked to my regular mechanic, and he recommend I send it to George at California Collisions. This was a very good choice. George and his staff did the grueling work of haggling with the insurance company, multiple times, over weeks. He also did an excellent job reconstructing my vehicle within the constraints of the insurance coverage. I got my adventure wagon back in good-as-new condition. Customer service and communication were excellent. About 15,000 miles later the rebuild has been tested and proven. Happy to support and rep this business.

Practically unheard of for an autobody shop! California Collision is one of those unicorns. My only regret is not hearing of them sooner. Reflecting back on my involuntary experience of being the receiving end of a rear-end collision on the freeway, California Collision was the clear stand out. Not only did they get my BMW back on the road like it never happened, they handled it like a concierge would. Take that from a regular business traveler that works in the private equity world. George and Team handled everything in my best interests. They are an honest to goodness family business; the real deal- they all share the same last name. The first thing George did during the drop-off process was insist on giving me a walk-thru tour of the *entire* shop and work area. Other shops hesitate and deflect with these requests but George volunteers it first thing without even being asked. After using the restroom on the way out, there was not a corner I didn't see. Communication and customer service is first class- my calls, messages, and emails were always returned in a timely manner. They dealt with insurance and the car rental. I didn't have to do anything besides provide approvals. The job was done exactly how I wanted and even exceeded expectations. My BMW is older now and I expected aftermarket parts but I ended up coming out with all OEM parts at 0 expense to me. Even my optional factory/ OEM+ M-division performance parts were handled. Color match and fit were factory perfect. George is a perfectionist and personally inspects your vehicle after work is done and only releases back to you after it passes his high expectations. I have never ever ever been spoiled by a body shop like this.

"Owner Paints Horse Trailer, Sleeps in Trailer to Confirm Quality"…read more The owner of this business insists upon top-quality. It doesn't matter if it's a car, boat, plane, or horse trailer. However, Mark does not like to paint locomotives. Anyway, this horse trailer was destined to become a mobile bar. Yes I know that sounds odd, but that's the gospel truth. Naturally if you want to convert your horse trailer to a bar, it must be impeccable. So when Mark painted this trailer, he had to be positive there were no drips. I mean, just imagine if you were guzzling a beer and paint drops started plopping from the ceiling. That would be no fun! Plus it would add an unknown flavor to your beer. So of course, Mark had no choice but to sleep in the horse trailer. That way he could be positive there were no paint drips or drops. (Sleeping in a horse trailer is like going to a YMCA Camp, but without the archery.) I hear Mark's wife was not pleased with this turn of events, but the customer always comes first. That's just the type of man he is. I have known the owner of this business for years. He is a person of great integrity and trustworthiness. Whenever I have horse trailers to paint I always bring them to Mark.
