Went here for the first time to celebrate my dad's birthday on a Saturday night, and overall we had a really nice experience. Right from the start, the hostess was very attentive to detail - she noticed our request for a brighter dining area near the window, and also acknowledged that we were celebrating my dad's birthday. We were seated in a spacious booth by the window, which was perfectly lit while still keeping the ambiance of a dim dining environment. The restaurant also offers complementary valet parking, which made arriving and leaving much more convenient on a rainy Saturday evening. (Alternatively, you can also self-park at the garage adjacent to the restaurant for a fee, or park at Tysons Galleria, walk through the Ritz-Carlton, and walk across the roundabout.) The restaurant was extremely busy for a Saturday night, and you could definitely tell the servers were constantly running around trying to keep up. Because of that, service was a bit slower at times, but the staff remained friendly, energetic, and attentive throughout the evening. We started with warm focaccia bread served with a side of olive oil/parmesan while waiting for our order to be taken. After kindly refilling our bread upon request, another server came by to take our order. We ordered the Tuna Crudo, Lobster Bisque, Shrimp Sauté, Wagyu Lasagna, 12oz Filet Mignon, 14 oz Prime New York Steak and Lobster Mac & Cheese. I thoroughly enjoyed the filet, which was tender, juicy and cooked to the perfect temperature; however, the tuna crudo appetizer was not as expected - it seemed more like a seared ahi tuna dish than an actual crudo. The shrimp in the Shrimp Sauté dish was very decently sized, although the linguine was overcooked for my liking. Also, my dad requested his New York Strip to be prepared medium-well, but it came out closer to medium-rare (though honestly,'it's much better for a steak to be undercooked than overcooked). The wagyu lasagna had an interesting presentation, but it could have benefited from a bit more seasoning, as the flavor came across somewhat mild. After dinner, our server surprised by dad with a complimentary dessert for his birthday, where he could choose any dessert on the menu. He chose the carrot cake, which was a bit too sweet for our liking, but it had real shredded carrot pieces throughout the cake, which was a nice touch. The staff also packed up all of our leftovers, and despite how busy the night was, our server never forgot we were celebrating. One of the sweetest details was that they even gave my dad a handwritten birthday card with "Happy Birthday" stamped on the envelope, which made the experience feel extra thoughtful and personal. Overall, this was a great first experience here for us. Despite the slower service due to how packed the restaurant was, the hospitality, atmosphere and quality of the food made for a memorable birthday dinner. Lovely Easter dinner with my daughter and granddaughter. Service was friendly and attentive. Food came quickly - almost too quickly, since they weren't busy. The menu is a fairly standard old-school steakhouse with some Italian dishes as well. Something for everyone. All the food was well-prepared and tasty. Caesar salad - generous and fresh; just what you expect from a Caesar. Calamari appetizer - generously portioned and plenty of fresh calamari in addition to some peppers and lemons. My daughter loved the aioli and my granddaughter the marinara. Filet with bearnaise sauce - perfectly cooked and tender, and the bearnaise was creamy and luxurious. Shrimp with pasta - a nice, lighter dish for my granddaughter who wasn't hungry from all the Easter candy she ate. The dish is quite simple but she liked it. Lobster - I had a 3 lb lobster. It was wonderful and perfectly broiled. They help you get the meat out of the claws and it is served with fresh lemon and drawn butter. It was more than I could eat; had I eaten the entire thing I would have needed more butter. Au gratin potatoes and bacon mac&cheese - rich and decadent. Tiramisu - huge portion and quite light and tasty. The girls lapped it up. I don't understand some of the recent negative reviews. I used to go to The Palm for work quite a bit, but it's been over a decade since I worked in Tysons. The high quality is still the same. Of course, if you are looking for trendy and inventive food, this is not your place. But if you like a traditional steak house, The Palm is quite good. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the restaurant is fairly pricey for the location in an office building, and the menu could use a bit of an update. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and all the friendly people who work in the restaurant. read more

Parking is complimentary valet or self parking at garage in the back for $$ (see picture). 1) food was bland and nothing special for the price point (parent compared it to Olive Garden -yikes). Out of the three entrees we got (Linguini with white clam sauce, shrimp sauté, and Sicilian Salmon), the shrimp sauté was the better one. I went to The Palm in Tysons Corner about a month ago for a work dinner, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Even without ordering appetizers, the meal more than delivered. For my main, I ordered the 22-ounce bone-in ribeye, and it was outstanding. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and exactly what you hope for from a classic steakhouse. Every bite was rich and satisfying. On the side, I ordered the smoked bacon mac and cheese and the asparagus, and both were absolute standouts. The mac and cheese was indulgent, creamy, and full of flavor, and the asparagus was cooked just right. Everything across the board was truly a 10 out of 10. The service really elevated the evening. Our server was attentive without hovering, very personable, and had excellent interpersonal skills. They made us feel genuinely welcome and taken care of, which is especially important during a work dinner. The food was so good that I am actually coming back this weekend with my parents, which says a lot. I would highly recommend The Palm to anyone looking for a high-quality steakhouse experience in the Tysons area. May be the best service we have ever had. Mishka is a true gem and makes you feel like one of the family. In what's a fun, old world feel, but certainly not stuffy dining experience you do feel like you have walked into an early twentieth century steakhouse/itlian restaurant for Sunday night dinner. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and seasoned well. The brussel sprouts and hashbrowns were excellent, and very large portions. The bacon Mac n cheese was also good but i think i would skip it next time. I'll tell you what's on my eye is the wedge salad and the chicken parm, both look incredible and like must try's. I was taken to the Palm for my birthday. It was our first time and we loved it! They handed me a birthday card when I walked in and we were seated shortly after. The atmosphere was classic and elegant, like "old money " (if that makes sense lol). The service was great. You can tell our waitress was busy but she made sure to stop in to check on us a few times. We didn't feel neglected or overwhelmed by her presence. She popped up the perfect amount of times. We didn't have to look for her and we didn't have to push her away lol. The food was great! Nothing we had was bad. I ordered the Bone-in ribeye with mashed potatoes and wild mushrooms. He had the lamb with tri-risotto and green beans with a side of creamed spinach. We had calamari and lobster bisque as starters. They also gave us a complimentary bread basket. It was really good! The pretzel was my fave The steak and lamb were cooked to perfection! The mashed potatoes were whipped and creamy and the mushrooms paired well with my steak. The risotto (which I don't usually like) was very tasty! The lobster bisque was velvety and flavorful, as well as the creamed spinach (it was some of the best I've ever had). My least favorite was the calamari HOWEVER, don't get me wrong, it was also good. I had the Paloma with reposado and he had the peachy keen, both drinks were good. We took desserts home, the chocolate cake and the carrot cake. Both was good, the chocolate was the better of the two. There was man there who seemed to be in charge of the floor who took our bill to comp my carrot cake for my birthday without me even asking. Starting with the valet parking, my friends and I were utterly spoiled at my birthday luncheon. We were greeted and escorted to our table where our waiter Alex recommended an incredible peach martini made to perfection. There was a shrimp appetizer special that melted in your mouth, accompanied by calamari, oysters on the half shell, lobster bisque and focaccia to die for. I had the surf and turf and definitely had the best of all worlds. I loved the Brussel sprouts in the pomegranate sauce almost as much as I loved the scalloped potatoes. The good things first - the food and the service is very good although pretty expensive, and I really appreciate the free valet service. Having said that, the place has poor acoustics making it very loud and unless you catch them on a slow day, it is very hard to carry on conversations without screaming at the top of your lungs. We had a really positive experience coming to the Palm for an early dinner. Our waiter as attentive and dealt with our indecisiveness and our banter. We started off with the shrimp casino and the prosciutto with sweet pear, both were great. They don't have any draft beers but they make a good dirty martini. I got the chicken parmigiana which was huge but had no pasta. That was ok as we had order a ton of sides for those who for steak- creamed spinach, hash browns, and au gratin were all sides that were definitely worth it. The steaks all looked great and were cooked to order- order the Pittsburgh style for a great crust. We finished the night with some awesome carrot and chocolate cake! Had a great experience at the Palm! Went for Mother's Day with my mom. All the food was good from the soups which were creamy and not too fishy for being lobster bisque and clam chowder, to the steak which was cooked to perfection (medium rare), to the tiramisu which was rich, creamy and delicious! The service was ourstanding. Even though it was crazy packed that evening, our server John was extremely attentive, nice, and took great care of us. When John was busy the other servers were also willing to step in for the smaller needs including more water, boxes, etc. Great experience overall and can't wait to go back to try more on the menu! read more

Dinner at the Palm was as notable for the service as for the steak.  Our servers could not have been more helpful or pleasant which made the meal relaxing and fun.  The Gigi salad was a generous portion and a great mixture of tastes and textures.  Both the prime NY strip and the center cut filet were great but we preferred the meatier flavor of the strip steak.  The fries were really good as was the creamed spinach (going for one sort of healthy and the other not but so worth it.)  The valet parking is an added bonus and the location is convenient.  The décor is fun to peruse with caricatures painted directly  on the walls all around.  Though we are not near important enough to be on the wall, we still felt as if we were treated as such by the team at The Palm. read more

I know it's pick up but the presentation was wild work, so so so unappetizing. Horrible experience. We reserved a private room. The host couldn't find our name. I asked him to read the names listed for the private rooms, to which he said we have many private rooms (you have 3, btw). He then realized our name was always there and then proceeded to point to the bar area and said that's our room. It literally was a space at the bar with a broken curtain that was meant to separate.
