Steak Frites, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Chop House Salad with Salmon
    Lynda D.

I don't know what it is about the GAR, but I am always craving their salads. Patsy's is one of my favorites of the restaurants and they give you a very big portion. My favorite here is obviously the chop house salad that I always get with a added protein. I prefer the salmon as a protein but their chicken here is very crispy. A great spot to take friends and family, I always suggest this restaurant as a recommendation when asked.

Short Smoked Salmon Filet and a side of spinach

I've been to several restaurants in the Great American Restaurants (GAR) group, and I have to say that they are so very consistent! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great Food, Great Service, and a lively atmosphere to enhance your dining experience![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was in Tyson's and couldn't resist stopping in to grab my favorite salmon dish. I decided to sit at the bar and ordered a sweet iced tea, the smoked stack salmon and a side of spinach. The service was fast and the foot came out perfectly just like it does every single time! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fortunately I was able to get in and out before the crazy Saturday night crowd rolled in and it was PACKED when I left.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Always a good meal here at Patsy's!

Stopped by for dinner this evening. Despite being busy for pre-Mothers Day, I was able to find a seat at the 2nd bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you've never been, this place is Huge: I believe there are 3 bars, in addition to the various dining areas[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. House Old-fashioned- im not a fan of very sweet cocktails, so I requested the maple to be lessened. Very good. House margarita- very good. Standard. Lobster Crabcake - sooo good. Juicy chunks of lobster throughout the Crabcake. The accompanying light salad was zesty and refreshing. Seasonal cheesecake- blueberry compote as a topping. Aauuughhhllll, Homer Simpson drool. Everything was tasty and the service was Excellent.

Ordered the French Dip which was 9/10. Delicious prime rib with a couple chewy bits . The service was attentive and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is nice but it is loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice booth seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lots of parking but busy parking lot. The menu is ok- pretty limited in my opinion. Could use some new ideas. Lots of salad choices.

Popped in for lunch as this was recommended by a friend. Arrived around 12:30pm on a Wed and the wait was 15-20. Asked for phone number to text when table was ready and it took closer to 30 not a big deal. Nice menu with various options. Went with the short stack salmon salad and it was amazing! Salmon cooked well and the salad was crisp and fresh. My colleague got the fried chicken sandwich and they were Happy. Just note it comes with pickles. Service was ok, nothing to write home about. After taking the order we weren't checked in on again amd a different person assisted with closing out the check. I loved the decor as the mural I was facing had a bunch of famous people painted - or at least their likeness. Whoopi Goldberg, jack Nicholson, Sarah Jessica Parker and many more. The restrooms were also super nice, loved the decor and the locks that clearly state occupied or vacant. And it's full floor to ceiling wall coverage. I'd recommend for lunch and enjoyed the meal. If in the neighborhood I'd stop back in to try other items.

This is my go to suggestion for folks new to the Vienna/Tysons area; I frequent Silverado too--one of their sister restaurants in Annandale. I suggested a friend, new to the area, meet me here for lunch. She really liked it. Of course, we got the Ozzie rolls which are legendary; basically fried donuts. Everybody loves them. It's a lovely idea that they only charge a dollar and it goes to animal welfare. I wasn't very hungry, so I got the pasta primavera with vegetables, not expecting much. It was delicious! I ate more than I expected because it was so good. My friend got the crabcakes and enjoyed them. Two are served and she took one home because she couldn't finish her meal. They usually have a fish of the day, which is always nice. This time they had a fish I had not heard of, so I elected to choose the pasta. I have ordered drinks here before and the alcoholic beverages are very good. As I recall, they're also pretty reasonably priced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is lovely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ladies' room is really very nice an odd comment, but worth stating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only thing I don't like is the restaurant seems to use team waiters. They're all very nice, but it's a little disconcerting to have different people all the time and you don't know who to ask for something if you need to. It usually works out, it's just a little odd. Yes, this is a local chain, but it is consistent and one of the few all American restaurants in the area.

After a busy morning we stopped in here for lunch. We were able to make a reservation but opted to sit at the bar, it's March madness! We were greeted rather promptly, overall the service was pretty good! The espresso martini was good, I love baileys in mine so it was no doubt I wasn't not gonna order this. He had the margarita, I recall him uttering it was perfect! The fritters were excellent. I mean, the most delicious sauce, texture, chunks of seafood. Each bite with the salsa? A party. You're inclined to lick the plate. The salmon entree was so amazing. The most beautiful grill, warm center, flavor was out of this world. I was disappointed in two pieces of asparagus, what I'm supposed to do with that? There should've been at least 4 pieces, help me meat my vegetable quota for the day! The mash was good too, it didn't give box. To wrap up our meal, we had the bread pudding. Wow wow wow, the edges were crispy and the raspberry syrup tangy and sweet profile made every bite irresistible. We would absolutely return. Aside from the food being grate, the prices are wonderful. Like whose cocktails are less than 15 bucks these days? THESE GUYS!

Great food and service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the restaurant decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A reservation is a must as it can get full. Going to keep coming back

[[HIGHLIGHT]]They have an amazing happy hour and a separate dining area for events.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We went on Easter Sunday and they did an amazing job with food and service. They are consistently good with food, service, and Ozzie rolls. Would recommend for any occasion

Service and hospitality from the heart thank you Henry for a great experience

Even though I live in the DMV, I'm not very familiar with the Tysons Corner area, so I reached out to a former boss who lives nearby to get her recommendation. She suggested Patsy's and I'm really glad she did. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and clearly on top of everything, which immediately set the tone for a great experience. The food was excellent definitely top-notch, though a bit on the pricey side but worth it overall. What really stood out, though, was a young man named Henry, who was working as a food runner. As someone who's naturally outgoing, I struck up a conversation with him, and he left a lasting impression. For just 18, he carried himself with confidence, warmth, and professionalism. You can tell he has a bright future ahead of him. Places like this should hold on to people like Henry he truly elevated the entire experience. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Can't rave about it enough. Staff was so exceptionally nice and pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was absolutely gorgeous.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And the food was sublime. The hickory bbq burger was a perfect blend of sweet and smoky. My waiter suggested the brussle sprouts for an are and he was right! Even the goat cheese salad couldn't have been better, I cleaned the plate.

As always, Patsy's did not disappoint! The food and drinks were on par & delish! They were crazy busy but our party of four still had excellent service from Stefanie! We started off with drinks: wine, beer, Bourbon Smash & an Espresso Martini, my bev du jour! With our cocktails we had ahi tuna sushi & ahi tuna tartare from Randy's menu, Tex Mex egg rolls & of course, some infamous Ozzie rolls. For our entrees we go crab cakes, mahi mahi, drunken ribeye with a chopped salad, and a hickory smoked bbq burger. Deeeeeelish! For dessert we shared the chocolate waffle & the Pavlova. Great food, great drinks & excellent service all the way around & a most wonderful time was had by all!

Checking off another GAR restaurant off our list. Very similar to other GAR spots, they have their signature Drunken Ribeye, Crab and Shrimp Fritters and bread basket that was great as always. I switched it up and also tried the Roasted Chicken which was juicy and tender with a delicious brown butter sauce. Service is always great as always. Another good GAR spot but my only complaint would be parking is a little more hectic here. Apps: Crab and Shrimp Fritters and Famous Bread Basket Entrees: Drunken Ribeye and Roasted Chicken

Ask the Community - Patsy's American

Is the restaurant located in the Tyson's mall?

No, it's across the street in Fairfax Station. It's next to Randy's steakhouse. Patsy's is more casual than Randy's. Both are part of Great American Restaurants (they have an app too)

Do they offer a military discount?

No at least not the location in Vienna

When does the dinner menu starts on a Saturday?

Dinner probably starts at 4 or 5pm.

    Is there covered outdoor seating?

There sure is, all the way out back beyond bar #2 😃

    Is there Happy hour?

Number 8 listed in "Happy Hour" Yelp search in Tysons. Back bar.

They have a few tables with umbrellas for cover during the day and even some lighting for nights. Food: The steak and sushi combo was interesting. The sirloin bites were small, but good, the sushi was mid - just not enough tuna on the crispy tuna rice and not enough flavor. The pesto spaghetti (Shrimp and Scallop Spaghettini) was good, but came with only two shrimp and a handful of the smallest scallops I've ever been served. The salmon entree was cooked well. Drinks: The cocktails were the highlight of the night. Several good margarita and martini variations on the menu that were perfect for the weather. Service: This was the worst part of the meal. Our server seemed to be frazzled the whole night. Twice during the meal we had our drinks delivered to the wrong table. The manager verbally apologized, but took nothing off the bill. It wasn't just our table though - we saw several of our server's tables get the wrong food or drinks. It also took a really long time to get water refilled at the table which was an issue in the heat. Verdict: 6/10. If they ironed out the kinks with service and dropped their prices by 10% on select dishes (tiny sirloin bites and subpar crispy tuna rice for almost $50 is madness), they would probably be an 8/10. I'll probably give them one more try and just avoid some dishes.

Delicious Indian restaurant - great happy hour and brunch spot!…read more The happy hour from 4pm-7pm Monday-Fri is an amazing deal. I ordered 2 dishes and a cocktail for under $20! I requested for the Paneer Tikka Flatbread (not on the menu)- vegetarian version of the Chicken Paneer Tikka Flatbread. The naan pizza was delicious, it was stuffed with cubes of paneer with a side of Tikki Masala dipping sauce. Highly recommend it! You can get the Paneer Pizza next door too! The Paneer Tacos were filling and fun to try, but large chunky blocks of paneer. While I enjoyed the spicy mayo sauce, I wish the paneer was cut up into cubes. It just felt a bit heavy with the paneer. The Spinach Artichoke Fritters (4) were tasty. The Mango Mojito and the Mumbai Mule cocktail weren't that good, but it honestly it's hard to complain when it's only $6/drink. The unlimited weekend brunch at $38 is a great deal and well worth it! You can choose from over a dozen Indian fusion dishe - as a bonus mango lassi, chai, and soft drinks are included! You can order 2 dishes/person at a time and the servers hastily swing by to clear your plates and place your next order! Between the 3 of us, we ordered almost conquered the full brunch menu and had a delightful brunch feast! The food had a spicy kick, but not overpowering and wasn't greasy. The portions range from small, bite-size apps to full, large entree size. There's a lot of vegetarian dishes on the menu with a few non-veg as well. There's a good balance between traditional Indian dishes and Western fusion with a hint of American flavors/presentation. My favorite stand-outs: - Aam Chat Papri with crispy Papri pita like chips with mango, chick peas, and potatoes smothered in yogurt and chutney, and topped with spicy garam masala mix - Chana Bhatura with chick pea curry and fluffy, bubbly fried bread. Large portion. - Spinach and Artichoke Fritters - Crispy bite-size balls filled with creamy spinach artichoke dip, 4 come in an order and perfect for sharing! - Aloo Bravas - Crispy, diced potatoes very reminiscent of the Spanish Patatas Bravas with aioli sauce and mild masala spicy kick - Butter Chicken - My friend enjoyed it, solid full entree size. I didn't order or try it in, but it looked pretty tasty and could easily why she made a happy empty plate! - Nutella Bread Pakora - Tastes like a bites-size Nutella fried donut! So good we ordered another one! - Helluva Hallawa Trio - I enjoyed sampling the 3 types of Hallawa, ranging in savory (carrot) to more sweet and milky (my favorite). - Mango Lassi - The sweetness of the mango lassi helped to balance out and absorb the spiciness of the food. - Masala Chai - Great ending to a meal, perfectG caffeine pick me up! Paired well with the Nutella bread Pakora. The other dishes on the menu were fun to try, but would probably skip and save room for my faves: - Aloo Sabzi and Katchuri - The dense hollow shell katchuri (similar to a round empanada) made of dhal lentil smothered in Aloo potato curry sabzi was very filling and dense. After a couple of bites, I threw in the towel. - Egg Burgi and Paratha - The masala spicy scrambled egg on paratha flatbread was kind of bland and a very small portion. - Mango Mimosa - While the mimosas were only $4, it was quite tangy and didn't pair well with the meal. I wish fresh mango juice was used instead of mango flavored juice (tastes like Izzy). The lunch buffet (Mon - Fri 12pm - 2:30pm for $23 wasn't the best experience. Admittedly, I came to the buffet at 1:30pm and the food was tepid and sadly overcooked under the heat lamp. The plates were very small and it was hard to fit a bunch of food. I went to the buffet at least 3 or 4 times to try out the dishes in search of the perfect bite, which I sadly couldn't. There were 5 main standard dishes with 3 vegetarian dishes (Dal Makhani, Aloo Ghobi, and Mehti Paneer) and 2 non-veg featuring both chicken dishes (Butter Chicken and Chicken Curry) and a galore of fried fritters/pakoras (spinach, onion, potato) with a couple of new rotating stations with Pani Puri (not much going on) and Spinach Tikki and Fish Pakora fried fritters. The Mehti Paneer was quite greasy with a coat of grease at the top and the paneer was pretty stiff. It wasn't tender. The Dal Makhani was bland. The potato aloo potatoes were brittle as they were sitting under the heat lamp too long. The best part about the meal was the fluffy naan, which was made-to-order. I enjoyed 2 rounds! Order the Masala Dosa crispy! When we got it the 1st time on the lunch special, it was a bit rubbery and soggy. After the server asked us a few times whether we liked it, my hubby relented and told him the honest answer. The server got the dosa re-made to go extra crispy, which did the trick! The masala potatoes paired well with the dosa. I wasn't a fan of the Sambar. Based on the glowing brunch and happy hour experience, I would come back to try the lunch buffet with an early start right when it opens!

I figured I'd like masala lemonade, and hadn't seen it on a menu before, the server cautioned me and offered a sample before I order it. sorry to say ew yuck but we tried it respectfully. I was verrryy shocked by the taste, almost tasted ritualistic it was so oddly gross. Lol Best service I've ever had at an Indian restaurant and food was delicious per usual of Indian food. One of my top 5 foods. Go, enjoy!!!

I usually am enamored with speakeasies, but it was really hard to love this one…read more 1. Reservations - I've been with OpenTable and other restaurant online booking systems for decades but this is a first for me. They have two separate OpenTable listings (as noted in other reviews). I was clear in that i just wanted an after work chill happy hour. I booked for 4:30. After promptly showing up at the wren for my 4:30 appointment I was told, Naisho room doesn't open until 5 pm.... So why did you let me book for 4:30?!?! No explanation. No apology just "you're early..." 2. I promptly dropped $70 for drinks and an appetizer at the Wren bar to hold me and my guests over. It wasn't bad but that's not what I was hoping for... at 4:30. 3. The service to the speakeasy was great. The "gym stag" had our 4:30 and let us in at... 5:03 pm... 4. The waitress inside the speakeasy was super awkward and off putting. She really needs a class on etiquette. I ordered quite a bit right off the bat but my guests slow roll throughout the experience and she didn't seem too happy with that. Taking away our menus doesn't encourage us to order either. You charge $22 for one tea sandwhich but can't afford to print out more menus? The menus were also pretty dingy and I hand sanitized after using them. 5. Food. Was mid at best. Not at all authentic Japanese. I had the oyster shooter, temaki, Wagyu toast, Wagyu quesadilla, and mocktail. The oyster shooter was too sweet. And you could only taste the oyster and caviar at the end. Mostly as an aftertaste. There was a "too sweet" aspect to most of the food. The temaki was okay and I liked the crunchy bits but they went too far with the plastic wrap on the seaweed. The plastic wrap gave me Japanese 7-11 onigiri vibes. You do that if you aren't efficient enough to get the food out to guests at once and the seaweed will get soggy. I'm not sure if it was for a "fun factor" for people who are unfamiliar with grocery store onigiri in Asia but in a restaurant it should be done for you. The Wagyu toast was a HUGE disappointment. It was Sooooo sweet. I filet barely taste anything except the gross, sweet jam. And the toast was soggy and the texture of the bread felt prepared the day before and like refrigerator. It was not toasted at all. The star was the Wagyu quesadilla with beef tendon chips. It was the cheapest item on the menu and the most filling and delicious. 6. Drinks were very good. Expect about $20 a pop... $50 for the Japanese whiskey is highway robbery. Nothing really "rare." I have most bottles on the kitchen counter from the Virginia ABc or DC Costco. You can buy an entire bottle of the Japanese whiskey at Costco for the cost of one serving here. Overall, the Naisho room felt like all hype. For over $100 I was still pretty hungry. If the food tasted good I would have ordered more but I didn't think it was worth it. You get a nice view but it's the same from most of the capital one building. Same view from the brewery. Don't waste your money. Go elsewhere. Plenty of better happy hour spots for much much less considering if you stay for more than two hours you have to pay for parking (we did becuase, well, our reservation was at 4:30...)

I thought I had booked the omakase experience, but realized I accidentally selected the wrong…read moreoption, which was disappointing at first. The staff explained they prepare omakase for a set number of guests, so they couldn't accommodate us last-minute. That said, the manager and his staff, our wonderful server completely turned the experience around with their kindness. They comped part of our meal, brought out desserts for my husband's birthday, and even treated me to a mocktail. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the night feel really special. The service was warm and attentive, and we still had an amazing time. I've already booked omakase for next week and can't wait to come back! The place has great vibes. Highly recommend!! And the HANDROLLS WERE THE BEST WE'VE EVER HAD!!! forgot to mention how amazing the food was. Yummy!

O my! I don't know where to start…read more.. Chris L. was our serve on this trip and he had wonderful recommendations, like: 1. Golden hour cocktail - It was just lovely! It tastes like the best rum punch you've had. It was perfectly sweet, but not too sweet. Beautiful in color. So good I had to sip this one very slowly...like it was the last or only one ever made. DELICIOUS! He also recommended the: 2. Smoked Old Fashioned and it was served to perfection as well. Nice and smoky and smooove. Then...we had the lobster tacos. I don't like lobster. Well, I didn't like lobster until I tried these tacos. To be honest, the lobster tasted like crab legs and the taco was dressed in all fresh ingredients (avocado, charred corn, cilantro, and a fresh flour tortilla) Alright...then next up was the Panko Crusted Sole. It is not filleted tableside because it is pan seared in the kitchen. It was very filling. I think I had three nice-sized filets. It came pretty much with a light and fresh tomato salad. You should do it! Then there was the Crab Cake, which was good. It was in the sweeter end. It was a large portion. It does not have jumbo lump crab meat, but don't let that deter you. Christ also informed us that the "Accompaniments" (sides) could be ordered in half sizes and indeed we - I - had a half size of the Au Gratin Potatoes. They were very smooth, flavorful, and creamy. Also, shouts out to Oscar who held down the water service and the other little things in between that also made this evening even better. The ambiance...I can't wait to head here again on Friday! I went in Saturday evening and the 3 Bears (band) was the live musical entertainment. They were AMAZING! To be honest, I just want to drop in and get a salad and drink...but everything else was so wonderful that $300 later, I'm writing this review. It was worth every penny - and don't forget to tip the band yall! That's it.

The food is always exceptional at Eddie V's no matter the location…read more This is my first time at the VA/Tysons location and I just wanted to highlight the kids menu. My son is very particular about what he eats, and the fact that a mini filet with French fries was an option made this an easy dinner outing with a 4 year old. He had a fruit plate starter then the fillet and finished with a vanilla ice cream! Top tier! Bravo and Thank you Eddie V's!
