I'm so glad that I found Sure Flame online because not only were they willing to come out to our rural home, but Elijah also spent over 4 hours troubleshooting, tweaking, and cleaning up the fireplace as he ruled out all of the least expensive repairs. While we did end up having to replace an expensive part, I trusted that it was actually necessary because he really did try everything else first! In addition, It's apparently part of a regular service call for them to clean up the fireplace, wipe down the glass, and even spray the interior with fresh heat-safe paint, so our fireplace even LOOKS almost new again! They recommend the work that was needed to stop the leak and we agreed to proceed with their services. The pipe continued to leak and they did come back once to "fix" the leak. It never stopped leaking even after the follow up visit. Subsequent calls were met with excuses as to why they could not come out right away. Fast forward to "today"... we decided to have a new roof installed due to other issues so I had a real professional stove installer out to reassess the entire stove pipe from the stove itself all the way up to the weather cap. In his opinion, the repairs done by Jerry were "laughable" (his words, not mine) and that the telescoping pipe he used inside the house was totally wrong and installed upside down. At least it is done correctly now. I would not recommend Crystals service... what a total waste of money that was.

We were made aware that our…read morechimney was in rough shape through a home inspection and most of the chimney companies that came out wanted to knock the entire thing down and build a new one, some with partial rebuilds which would cost $$$$. You could tell most of these chimney companies just wanted to cash in. Integrity Chimney guys wanted to preserve the history and recommended a tuck point which turned out fantastic. They are experts in what they do and are trustworthy and fair. Their communication is also top notch, constantly communicating anything that comes up. They were timely, cleaned up, and the attention to detail was fantastic. We also had them install a chimney insert on the inside of the home which they helped us choose, schedule, and install. I highly recommend them, the before and after pictures speak for themselves. You can tell these guys care about what they do and it shows.

Called Phil again this year to have our gas fireplace serviced before winter blew in. Still a solid…read more5 stars. Exemplary customer service even though this is the beginning of his busy time of the year. We were scheduled two days after I called. On the morning of, Phil texted and said he and his assistant could arrive earlier than anticipated. That was just fine with us. As in previous years, our fireplace was cleaned and inspected and the interior and exterior was vacuumed, the glass removed and cleaned as well. The work area was kept clean and drop cloths were laid over the hearth and nearby furniture. Our nosy cats had to be in the thick of things and that wasn't a problem for Phil either. When all was said and done, we had a sparkling gas fireplace ready to be used. Phil promised -and noted on the invoice- that he would return in the summer to respray the inside of the fireplace as an extra perk and to spruce it up a bit. Servicing costs are still very reasonable and fair. He told us to call him right away if we had any issues. Thanks again Phil I still highly recommend Phil's Fireplace Service in Beaverton.
