The time came and went with them not showing up and no phone call. I had to call them. They claimed they were busy with emergencies due to some storms that had rolled through the area. I was given a new date and time frame for July. Again the date and time came and went with them not showing up and again no phone call. I did not waste my time calling them. I found a new contractor to come and clean the chimney. The contractor performed an inspection and recommended that do not use the chimney. This company was supposed to fix a missing flu tile and never did. Luckily they did not charge us for that but it was definitely discussed when we originally hired them. The company agreed to rebuild the top courses of brick and repour the crown. This was done very poorly per the new contractor. Please do not waste your time with this company.

They looked very professional, and their work looked very professional, so I stopped and talked to them. As a result, I engaged them to Work on my chimney. To my surprise, they scheduled my job on Wednesday. When they showed up it was not hard to see they knew what they were doing. They had all of the right equipment and all of the brick and supplies that they needed. Five hours later the job was done. The chimney looked great, and the work area was completely clean. Olson Concrete poured my driveway using materials from Messina Concrete, Inc in July 2017. Less…read morethan a year later, there were visible issues with the concrete. I have contacted Olson several times and through multiple formats (email, phone, text messaging) and still have not received a resolution to the issue. I have even gone as far as contacting the Canton Township Building Inspector, who came to my home to view the work done and his calls were also ignored by Olson. It will be two years this coming July, and I still have not received an answer and no one has taken accountability of the poorly finished product that my family is left with. I have even reached out to Messina Concrete, who supplied the material for Olson, and they were not able to give any answers. Stay far away from this company unless you want a crappy job and poor communication. I wish I would have done my research before getting involved with this unprofessional business. Going into the second year, the driveway has deteriorated even further. As a business owner in the community for 43 years the lack of response by both companies has left me no other alternative but to warn others of there poor business practices. See below for a detailed timeline to understand all the effort I have made to get this issue corrected: 7/21/2017- Driveway poured Prior to Easter 2018 - First noticed the driveway flaking and spalling Middle of April 2018- Contacted Roberto (Bobby) from Olson 4/30/18- Roberto came to home to look at the driveway and agreed that there was a problem with it. He told me that he would contact Dave Olson and Vince Messina. He told me that it would be at least 10 days before someone would contact me back. 5/4/2018- I contacted Roberto via text message. He said he would call me back. Never happened. 5/22/2018- Text messaged Roberto because his voicemail box was dull. He said he was busy and that he would call me back. He did not call back. 5/29/18- Contacted office and spoke with Charlotte. She spoke with Roberto and he told her that he had emailed Messina but had not received a response back. 6/6/18- Left message for Roberto. No response 6/7/18- Left message for Roberto. No response 6/8/18- I called and explained the issue to Vince Messina. He knew nothing about my issue which means that Roberto never contacted him. I sent him an email with pictures of the driveway which he told me that he would forward to Dave Olson. 6/9/18- Received email from Stefanie with Olson to schedule a meeting with the owner Dave on June 25th. 6/25/18- Dave did not show up for the meeting. He sent a guy named John in his place. John tells me that the issue is normal and was from salt and water in the winter where the vehicles were parked. I was not satisfied with this response. 6/27/18- I sent an email to John Dodson (Canton Township Building Inspector) explaining my problem and requesting an evaluation from him. I also sent an email to Stefanie requesting a call from Dave Olson. No response from Olson. 7/19/18- John Dodson met me at my home to inspect the driveway. He agreed with me that there was an issue with the driveway. He said he would reach out to Dave Olson. During this time, I also had two other concrete contractors look at the driveway for their opinions on the issue. All agreed that it was a problem and not normal. As of 8/2/18- Still no contact from Olson to either myself or John Dodson. 4/16/2019- Sent a text message including pictures of the driveway to Vince Messina and Roberto. Vince texted me back to ask who I was and if I was a contractor and after telling him who I was, I received no response to this date 5/7/2019.

I just got busy with other projects) I asked for them to re-quote the work as it had been so long. It was essentially the same price ( give or take 20 bucks). Which was considerably less than half (almost a third the price) of the other three companies that quoted the job. They were great to work with! Very considerate and kind while on the job. Very professional, came when they said they would, and were always on time. Our new porch is so nice! We love the work done, very high quality! There are not enough good things to say. Great Job!! Will definitely use them for anything else that comes up in the future.
