FLEMINGTON: Brie & Titan got to enjoy a nice lunch at Chimney Rock Inn, a great restaurant with dog friendly outdoor seating! Serving up New American food, their menu has great attention to allergens with vegan and gluten free options clearly marked. The menu is wonderfully eclectic offering salads, tacos, pizza, burgers, and seriously so much more. The bavarian style pretzel, vegan nachos supreme, and vegan pizza were made to perfection! The cocktail list stands out too along with a beer list and wine selection. The outdoor patio allows leashed dogs and is covered on top from the elements. It was lightly raining when we visited and were very comfortable sitting outside. Call ahead to make sure outdoor dining is open due to weather or other considerations. This is a great place for lunch or dinner after riding the dog friendly Black River Railroad. Chimney Rock Inn restaurant also has a location in Bridgewater and there is dog friendly outdoor seating.

Good burger that was cooked properly and pretty good onion rings

So disappointed in the pizza. I realize I am a victim of expectations and that can influence my reviews but I had heard such rave reviews about this pizza I was totally jazzed about it. The crust was chewy and very, very limp. The taste was OK but nothing to brag about. Just very run-of-the-mill. Would almost compare it to fast food delivery. I did hold off doing a review until I went back for something else. Next we got a burger, which was very good and the onion rings were nice as well. The loaded fries for an appetizer were OK. I'm basing the three stars solely on the pizza. Would give the second trip a solid four stars.

We came here with a large party after visiting the North Pole Express train in Flemington. Thankfully we called ahead, because it seems a lot of our fellow riders had the same idea! The restaurant was full at only 12pm, but the service remained friendly. I was disappointed not to receive the children's menu that is posted online for the four kids in our group, it would have given them something to do, and the kids menu is also not posted on the regular menu. We were also not offered the free dessert that the kids menu says you are entitled to but it was just as well because 2 of the 4 are vegan and likely couldn't have it. The vegans in our party were happy to have options on the menu to work with, and said they enjoyed their food. I had the peach cobbler mule to drink which was tasty and a generous portion. My mom and I shared our meals, we ordered the supreme nachos and the caprese salad. Both were tasty, I preferred the salad which had delicious garlic bread on the side and rigatoni noodles to mix in. The nachos were solid, almost every chip was covered which is important, I wish the Jalepenos would have been the pickled kind which carry more flavor and a little kick, these were fresh and SUPER spicy! All in all we had a good time and enjoyed our food. We were very grateful for the inclusive menu.

The food was good and the service was excellent! We had the chicken Pot Pie, Chipotle Pasta, French Onion Soup, and Pierogies.

There's too much fried food and tons of fries. To substitute fries for a veggie you can get broccoli. Salads are okay and could be improved.

The food here is to-die for, and is certainly one of the best restaurants in the area. I have friends who visit from out of town who specifically request to go to Blue Fish during their stay! The prices are great for the quality of the food. I always opt for the build-your-own entree. This time, I chose the brisket with a side of the caramelized plantains, but I also often go with the chicken, steak, or salmon with the pesto butter. No matter what you order, you can't go wrong. The staff are very kind and the service is quick. The interior is modern and up-to-date, paralleled by its brick historic vibe exterior, as the Stangl Factory building was once a pottery/ceramic factory. Now, the building is home to Blue Fish Grill, as well as a number of other businesses including an artist-owned gallery, a large pottery studio, a medium, and a yoga and physical therapy studio. Stangl also hosts a weekly artisan farmers' market and bi-monthly live music and art events. It really is a growing creative community. Blue Fish Grill doesn't have a bar, but they do allow BYOB. If you find yourself in the Flemington area, be sure to grab a bite at Blue Fish! It will surely be a meal to remember.

It's such a great local spot, and I don't think enough people realize what it is or how good it's become. My mom and I stopped in for lunch and sat outside on Main Street, which was honestly so lovely. It felt really special to just sit, enjoy a great meal, and be part of the community. We met Mo, who took such great care of us and made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. We started with the hummus, which was incredibly fresh and smooth, and you could tell everything was made with care. For our mains, we had the lamb chops and the lemon chicken, both of which were delicious. The lamb was tender and perfectly cooked, and the lemon chicken had such a bright, balanced flavor. The potatoes were a standout, roasted and finished in a lemon butter that made them unforgettable. If you haven't been in a while, or didn't realize there's been a change, it's definitely worth stopping in. Main Street businesses could really use the support, and this place is one that deserves it. Go say hi to Mo and give it a try.

The restaurant is tucked behind a Walgreen's and proximate to an urgent care on a side street off Rt 31, so that might explain it. We arrived for dinner on a random Thursday. The dining room is large, clean, bright, and had a lot of empty tables, but few patrons. They have a take-out business and it was sort of rainy outside, so that explained it in my head. The server came right away and took our beverage orders (it's a BYOB and I still can't get used to that concept). We ordered our meals after our drinks arrived. I like to keep it simple on a first visit. If you've seen my other reviews, it sorta makes sense. I got the linguine, with mushroom sauce and meatballs. It gives me a chance to see if the pasta is boxed or not, how fresh the ingredients are, the taste of the sauce, and if they can make a decent meatball. The linguine was made in the kitchen from scratch and the mushroom marinara was delicious. The meatballs are amongst the best I've had in the area, including two NYC Little Italys (Manhattan and Bronx). The salad was fresh and crisp and the bread came out warm and delicious. It's a bit of a drive from Clinton, but I am going to try their pizza at my next takeout opportunity.

The inside is quaint, with brick and stucco walls. My wife ordered the penne with broccoli. I ordered the linguini alla vongole (linguini with clams) in white wine sauce. Both entrees came with soup or salad. We both chose salad. They also brought some warm bread to the table with oil for dipping, though the bread did seem a little dry. I prefer my bread to be a bit more stretchy/chewy. We both enjoyed our meals. They were a good portion size, with nothing left to bring home. For dessert, I chose the affogato (special), my wife went with the fudge cake, and both of us had cappuccino. It is a BYOB but there is a liquor store next door if you want a bottle (or two) of wine.
