Service tonight was beyond my expectations. Our server, Alexander, provided the best experience I have had in a restaurant in quite honestly several years. He checked in several times and ensured that everything was how we ordered. I would strongly recommend requesting him if you stop in. Everything served in perfect timing and no issues with ordering. As a former bartender I find that maybe my expectations are high, and Alexander met all of them. Extremely polite and courteous. On a side note my medium rare steak was FINALLY cooked perfectly so my compliments to the kitchen staff as well. Even higher end steakhouses have failed to properly cook a steak to this temperature so I was impressed. Portion sizes were great in relations to price. Overall a great experience. read more

This is the best Longhorn steakhouse, and one of the best steakhouses overall, I've ever been to. My previous experience with Longhorn was their South Plainfield location where the steak I ordered had more grizzle than should be allowed. They have a good selection of steaks and beverage choices to go with them. I normally go with a red wine with steak. The staff is very friendly. Our meal came out pretty quick too. Call me crazy for coming to a Longhorn and getting the salmon (multiple times) but I am just more of a seafood gal! And they do prepare a lovely salmon here. It comes with 2 sides which I try to mix up and I can tell you I will normally be taking leftovers home. The salmon is juicy, flavorful and never overcooked. And the stand out sides are the baked sweet potato and the broccoli. Ordering apps? The wings are tasty as are the cheddar stuffed mushrooms. Portions are big so save some room for your actual dinner and don't make the same mistake I always do. One thing I would love is to see more healthy-ish or just lighter items on the menu. For a chain restaurant, this is one of the best steaks for the money you can get. Keep in mind that this review is for this location only. Went here on a Friday night and had only a 20 minute wait. I got the strip medium, my wife got the ribeye medium well and my daughter got the 6oz sirloin medium well. All steaks were cooked to the proper temperature, none over, none under. I was worried mine was gonna come out over. We all got the broccoli side which is the best side of broccoli you'll get anywhere. I don't think I can prepare it that well myself. The service is fast and attentive. The restaurant is clean. Sometimes the bar side is a little cluttered, but still okay for seating. Much improved since we last came. Medium rare ribeye and prime rib were both very good. Update April 2016 - still a great choice for steaks but they tend to overcook - no bottled beer list - you are dependent on the servers memory - I prefer a printed list that I can choose from. Medium rare strip was only just medium rare but was tasty - medium rare prime rib was medium-well and was sent back - for some reason they said they couldn't cook it any less and it was the lighting which was rubbish. We've been ordering prime rib for decades in different places so we know what to expect. A replacement medium-rare ribeye came out looking perfect - so much for the lighting excuse. Got to give the manager credit though - he replaced the prime rib with an excellent ribeye and to our surprise comp'ed the prime rib and ribeye. read more

Took my family of 5 out to dinner. First time here. Abigail- our waitress was outstanding. We all ordered steaks and they came with a nice size salad. We didn't order apps and I was glad because we were full after tue meal. All of our steaks were cooked to order perfectly and the mushrooms and Brussel sprout sides were very tasty. The place was very busy and the staff was abundant. I can't believe I'm making this review. I never use names in my reviews when it's good or bad. However a manager named Paul made me feel so uncomfortable. He was more focused on my breasts then helping me fix my undercooked steak. He stared at my chest for the most awkward 5 seconds of my life. I was so uncomfortable that I just took my food Togo and left. I was in tears because of how he made me feel. My daughter who I was with kept asking me. Why are you crying Mom? I couldn't even tell her. Every time I pass this restaurant or any other of their locations I will have anxiety remembering how uncomfortable he had made me. I told all my family and friends about this and none of them will ever go to a longhorn again. I also realized that his whole wait staff are all pretty young girls. Change the dress code and this should be a Texas hooters and not a family restaurant. To the their corporate people, don't even try to message me. A good solid chain to visit. It may have Steakhouse in its name but at least for me there was enough on the seafood menu to keep me happy. On one visit I had the LongHorn Salmon: Fresh, hand-cut salmon, grilled using our secret bourbon marinade. Served over rice. It was not spectacular but I still walked away satisfied. On another visit I had the Redrock Grilled Shrimp: A dozen grilled shrimp glazed with our smoky tomato butter. Served over rice with garlic butter sauce for dipping. I found this to be a better choice than the salmon (at least how the two dishes I am comparing were prepared on my visits). The food was quite tasty and the service was attentive. The waitress was very friendly and checked in with us often. Only towards the end of our dinner which was around 7pm the place started to get busy and it was difficult to get a hold of our waitress. The food was fantastic, unfortunately the service was horrible. I'm very happy though that they do give a military discount. The restrooms were cleanish. I would understand the service if it was a Friday or Saturday night but on a Monday night it was pretty bad. I would expect better out of a higher-end restaurant like Longhorn. read more
