Live not too far from this place and have been wanting to try it and boy am I glad that I did! The pork ribs are delicious, rice tasty and the fries perfect.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch on the west home from a car show at the 4-H fairgrounds that turned out to be a dud. There are about six tables inside and a few outside. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. There were so many options on the menu, it was hard to decide what to order. My wife went with the pulled pork sandwich which comes with French fries. She said it's the best pulled pork she's had. It's not overly vinegary. I ordered the 1/2 BBQ chicken platter which comes with rice and French fries. The skin was crispy and the meat was so tender, it fell of the bones. When we're in the mood for BBQ, this is where we're going.

Had been jonesing for some Portuguese BBQ. I was between dr appts and lucky for me, this place was close enough! Got their one of their lunch specials: 2 kebabs of my choosing (beef, chicken, or pork), rice, and french fries for ONLY $10.50!! What a steal! The food was good. I got the beef and the pork. I favored the latter. The fries were perfect. The rice was too wet and tasted too much like celery to me. I HOUSED half of it and took the rest home for dinner. The staff was sooo nice but I do have a gripe about the a few things. This place was not express about anything so if you're in a rush, this is not the place or maybe put in your order before you get there. My food took a long time to come out but also, a lot of the folks who came in with pre-orders still had to wait so just a heads up. They are not quick. And another thing, the parrot. Maybe it's just me but it was like a smoke detector with a low battery.

Saw this place driving by and decided to check Yelp and the reviews look good so I turned around and came here for lunch. I had lunch inside. There is limited seating. I'd prefer to take out if I live close by as the people that are ordering are right in the middle of the seating area. Friendly staff running the place. I got the pork ribs with french fries and black beans and everything was very tasty and freshly made. It was a lot of food even though I got a half order so I took half to go. I was surprised that when I warmed it in the microwave it actually even tasted better warmed up.

Called in a takeout order on a Saturday night recently. This was my first time trying this restaurant. The food was very good. You have to understand and be prepared for what you're getting. This isn't fancy food and it's also not southern BBQ. It's Portuguese BBQ which is just simple marinated meats cooked over an open flame. We got a half portion of a variety of the entrees and each one was large enough for two meals, if you have an average sized appetite. Each comes with rice and French fries. We were able to substitute beans in place of the fries where we wanted that. However, the amount of beans that they gave us was kinda small. When you order takeout, remember, the fries get soggy. The amount of skirt steak in the entree was ample and it was cooked to order according to our requested doneness. The chicken cubes were very tender but I wasn't the biggest fan of the sauce and veggies that came with it. The beef ribs were cut in the same style as Korean short ribs and they were tasty. The pork cutlet had a delicious and tangy marinade but they were really thin and unfortunately very overcooked and dry. The person who took my order over the phone was very friendly and thorough. When I arrived to pickup the order, the staff were in a great mood and very attentive even though they were super busy. I need to come back to try the BBQ chicken.

Kind of felt the need to put that out there, it's not really a suburban location. That said, echoing some of the others I'm reading snippets of, WOW to everything - the service, the food, the ambiance. It's got charm when you walk in, looks old but not dated. The waitstaff is super friendly, has some jokes, multi-talented (they brought out the guitar a few times to wish some other folks happy birthday), and knowledgeable. The food is really good - everything I tried was just delicious. For the table, we ordered some calamari and empanadas, and both were good. Drinks were also tasty - that sangria was really good, and the mojito (love that they had it available, first of all!) was also a hit. I would double-click on that sangria, though. For my entree, I ordered their whole fish, which was not only delicious but HUGE. I ate about half of it and was full. Then my friend and I split an order of limoncello cake (I think that's what it was), which was on point, and ended w/ espresso, also good. Overall, everything about that place was great, and when I mentioned a Spanish place in Trenton the next morning to some guys I was with, one of them asked, was it Malaga? That was just another great review, for a local guy to know what I was talking about just by description. Bravo, I think some of us may be back sometime!

Everyone also enjoyed the fries, which is included in most meals. Also, the "white rice" is more of a pilaf (as it includes bits of carrot and peas), which was also tasty. The hot sauce by the table is sour and a bit hot. While I didn't personally enjoy it, I've tasted something similar at other BBQ joints, so it's more about personal preference. Note: the ribs don't need sauce as it uses a dry rub. I just tried the hot sauce as I was curious. Note: this placed used to be a restaurant called Brasa; hence, why you'll see "brasa" in their website's URL but not on the sign outside. Also, the portions are huge; no one finished everything. I ordered the full plat of ribs to share with someone else and we still had left overs. Will definitely return if I'm in the mood for BBQ. P.S. if you dine in and eat BBQ, you may want to take some napkins from the bathroom. The table has cloth napkins which don't so a good job at getting the oil off your fingers. Just don't use the napkins from the bathroom for anything other than getting the oil of your fingers before you wash your hands.

Come hungry because they are not playing around with those portions. The sandwiches are delicious, but I have to talk about the Portuguese treats. The classic pastel de nata was my FAVORITE! I was thinking the experience should be good since it should be more personal than that other hit-or-miss big chain Brazilian Rodizio. I was wrong. The decor was nice but the waiting area was oddly situated where people could be in the way of the food coming out of the kitchen. We were seated at the far end of the main dining hall. My 2nd son and I ordered the Rodizio. My wife and daughter ordered the Picaña steak, my eldest son had the Skirt steak. The first three Rodizio choices came out early. They were the chicken wing, the sausages and a BBQ Ribeye. The chicken and sausages were flavorful. The BBQ Ribeye was dry. Then, the other steaks came out. They did take awhile. They were supposed to be medium rare. My wife was medium, close to medium well. But, we were so hungry, we let it slide. Her steak was was under seasoned. Meanwhile, the Rodizio meats weren't making to our table. 10 mins passed since the last meat received and nothing came by. We'd see tables closer to the entrance and behind us receive the steaks on the skewers or the grilled pineapple, but not us. What kept on coming by were the chicken and the sausages again. There was a lamb brisket, that passed by. I tried it, it was bland and dry. I complained to the waiter about not getting any good meats. To his credit, he did say he'll do his best to get some to come. A manager came by and apologized and said that they were busy and they're trying to get them out as soon as possible. Another 10 mins and only shrimp came by. While the shrimp was being served, we saw a brand new batch of picaña come out and served to the table right next to us (who were just seated). Then, my table was skipped. It never circled back. I asked the waiter what's going on and mentioned about the Picaña skewer. He apologized again and said that he'll do something about it. But what was coming by us were the same chicken and sausages. We were almost two hours into our dining and still no good meats coming by. By then, I had enough and just asked for the bill. The waiter could tell I was far from pleased. By the time I signed the check, the Picaña and skirt Steak showed up. I tried them just for the heck of it. They were well done and dry. Afterwards, we stood up and left. $340 down the drain. No effort from management to try to appease a disappointed customer. We left utterly frustrated. If it weren't for our waiter who was doing his best, this place would have gotten a one star. Never coming back to this place.
