I always order through here on DoorDash, and it's so good. It's taken a while to find a good Chinese takeout restaurant. I like to switch up my order, but I usually keep it simple. I tried their hibachi items for the first time, and they were okay. It's not my favorite, but I like the noodles. I switch between the fried and steamed dumplings; fried is my favorite. Their crab Rangoons are pretty good, too. I also always have to get an egg roll and their wonton soup.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. We were pretty disappointed with this place. One of the worst tasting Chinese food we have ever had. We tried the sesame chicken and it tasted old, chewy & 3 days old. Tried the egg drop soup (how can you mess up egg drop?) tasted like sink water with egg. The wontons that come with it tasted 30 days old. The egg rolls tasted sour... actually it tasted like poison. The chicken with broccoli was edible... we wasted $70 on Ubereats because it was BOGO. It should be called BOTO (buy one, throw one)

YAY for finding my new favorite Chinese take out! The general tso and orange chicken is delicious. They cut the chicken into bite sized pieces and I have to say for the FIRST TIME EVER, there was no weird textures in a single bite of chicken. It was great quality! The only thing I'd say could be improved is the sauce. it was on the thicker, gloopier side but it still tasted fantastic! The crab rangoon is also great! Not a lot of crab flavor but I still enjoyed it. I felt it had more of savory and scallion flavor than some of the sweeter rangoons I've had at other places. I preferred these over the sweet ones. The general tso lunch special comes with a soup - not sure what kind it is but it tasted like straight up water. This is the only thing I didn't like.

It's really a shame, but it appears that China99 has made some changes in the past few months. We ordered about $50 worth of food and it was a disappointment. Lo Mein that was just spaghetti noodles, soy sauce, and pieces of pork. Curry Beef and they forgot to give us the white rice. Because our meal was over $35, we got a complimentary menu item. We thought we were going to receive crispy fried shrimp, but instead they forgot it and gave us the shrimp from their Sweet & Sour Shrimp. It was a good run, but I think we're going to be on the outlook for a different place to get our Chinese food from.

China 99 is without question, the cleanest Chinese takeout restaurant I've ever stepped foot in. Yeah, it's fairly new (opened within the last year), but I'll be damned, I saw my reflection in the floor! Wherever there's a Publix, there's a Chinese takeout joint nearby. After loading up the car with way too many groceries, we felt like we deserved a moderately decent Chinese takeout meal. As opposed to other comparable restaurants, they made our food to order. Eat fresh?! To me, there's nothing more satisfying than a combination plate packed tightly, with egg rolls and fortune cookies at the finish line. My mistress in life are in fact egg rolls, and these crisp delicacies hit the spot. The classic dish of Beef and Broccoli was full of flavors, without being oily are doused in soy. Fried Rice was very good, too. Don't expect a red carpet to be laid out when you walk in, but I guarantee you'll be surprised with your experience. Don't judge a book by its cover, folks. Life is short, eat more egg rolls!

Never again. I've been sitting here for 25 minutes waiting for my order. I'd ask for a refund but I'm afraid it would slow things more.

The vibrant, traditional Chinese murals painted across both the exterior and interior immediately caught my eye. I found them thoroughly captivating and beautifully artistic. Though the venue itself is intimate, the layout and decor are executed with exceptional taste and style. I was seated at a lovely table beside the glass window overlooking the street, which offered the most wonderful view for a relaxing afternoon. The staff greeted me with genuine, warm smiles and provided exceptionally friendly service throughout. To begin, I ordered the Thai Basil Paloma, which proved to be an absolute perfection of a beverage for a Sunday. For my main course, I was intrigued by their new duck option on the menu and it was an absolute triumph! Rich, exquisitely prepared, and utterly delicious. Also, thank you to Thomas for his service It made for a flawless Sunday afternoon from start to finish. Full marks to Hawkers for an outstanding culinary experience. I shall most certainly be returning!

The decor and vibe definitely give Asian street market -- I loved the neon signs. Thomas was our server and he was friendly, quick, and attentive throughout. We ordered the Twice Fried Korean Wings, Bonchon, and Chili Crisp Cucumbers to share. The wings were delicious with the best crunch, almost like candied chicken wings. My only complaint is I expected more heat from the gochujang. The Bonchon is essentially a flight of pickled sides: sweet pickled cucumbers, sweet pickled carrots and daikon (similar to what you'd find on a Vietnamese banh mi), and a well-fermented kimchi with mild heat and great flavor. We also ordered the Hong Kong Wonton Soup, and thought we ordered "Chow Fun" noodles -- but "Chow Faan" is actually their fried rice dish. Word of caution: if you want their take on Chow Fun noodles, order the "Beef Haw Fun" instead. The star of the show was the Hong Kong Wonton Soup -- the broth was authentically Asian, distinctly different from a classic French-style broth built on onion, celery, and carrot mirepoix. It was so good we ordered another one to go and took it to our mom to enjoy. We will definitely be going back to try some of their other dishes.

If I could say anything bad it would be that I wish some of the portions were smaller - there are so many things to try and I no longer each like a college student. Service - our server never left us wanting for anything. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I look forward to bringing more friends here in the future. The place is large and can accommodate larger groups - I think I saw one group of about 15. It may seem a little pricey for some but you have lots of options and it's worth it.

He mentioned wait times for tables, so I chose a Tuesday evening to try to avoid the crowds and it worked as I was immediately sat upon arriving. There are QR Menus on the table and my server directed me to view there. I spotted the Tokyo and was intrigued by the Ajitama Brûlée (signature torched seasoned soft boiled egg). What I Ordered: - Tokyo: For $16.95, I thought this was reasonably priced and excited to try as reading reviews raved about the umami flavor of their ramen. Without exaggeration, this was a life-changing ramen. The best ramen that I've had in my life!! The torched egg was genius and added a beautiful texture to the rich, and flavorful broth. The fried chicken thigh was a delicious protein and cooked so well. Honestly, every ingredient was crafted well and combined to make such a beautiful bowl. - Lychee Martini: What better way to toast to life, then with a martini! The popping bubbles were not my thing, but the flavor of the martini was delicious. I can see why many suggest trying it. This is my 1900th review on Yelp, and I couldn't pick a better place to review and RAVE about my experience. If you are in Jacksonville, RUN don't walk to this location for a stunning experience as it's a gorgeous location that is very cozy. Unfortunately, I did not receive a meaningful response or any indication that the concern was taken seriously. I'm sharing this here so others have a complete picture when deciding where to go, and so the business has another opportunity to reflect on how customer interactions are handled. With more attentive management and clearer boundaries for staff, this could be a much stronger experience.

We tried the crab rangoons 3/5, edamame 2/5, and chicken Pad Thai 3/5. The rangoons had a runny filling with not enough crab or cream cheese. The edamame was okay but a small portion for the price. The Pad Thai had good flavor, but the noodles were slightly overcooked and there was a strong fish-oil taste that didn't sit well with us. The chicken was cooked well, and the chef accommodated us by putting the peanuts on the side. The restaurant also had some cleanliness and maintenance issues, including holes in the booth cushions and dishes left on tables. Overall, 3/5.
