A night out for China food. It didn't turn out the way it should have. The food was just slightly warm. The teriyaki chicken was pale, no flavor. I had to put my own sriracha to give it some flavor. My family and I came here for lunch. There was plenty of parking available. The service was excellent...very friendly and patient as we were figuring what we're going to order, and there was starting to be a short line. We ordered the combo plate. When we first arrived, it seemed as if they were getting ready to close. We ordered three entrée to split between two people. We got half and half fried rice and chow mein. The three entrées were beef, green beans, barbecue pork and orange chicken. The food was phenomenal more than enough for two people to share. I'm normally not a fried rice person and I really enjoyed their fried rice. For the price and the amount of food I would absolutely recommend this to families to go or groups of people you can share the food is so absolutely wonderful. Now the service in the ambience are a little different in my opinion. Very straight to the point what can I get you pay here and I'm done with you kind of feeling. As we sat there and enjoyed our food they did have a lot of customers come in and leave like pick up orders or just grabbing the food themselves. I have always had good quality , fresh delicious food and polite service at the China Bistro restaurants. The portions are generous. I ordered the beef with green beans and a bowl of egg flower soup. The green beans are always a bit Al dente, which I love, served in a rich sauce with velveted tender beef. The egg flower soup is scrumptious and heartier than most. Along with the eggs & broth is has mushrooms, corn, peas, carrots & noodles. ( it is not gluten free here) . There is no ambiance, it is just basically a fast food restaurant. They are a simple takeout or eat in restaurant. There is no table service. You can order off their menu or go through the line to pick your meal. As I was leaving Envista Neck and Back Center, I was drawn to the fresh fragrance of Chinese food nearby. I saw China Bistro and walked in. The restaurant is spacious and clean indoors. It was a little reminiscent of Panda Express. There is an extensive a la carte menu. At the counter, there is a display of food dishes on moveable heaters. The gentleman behind the counter was very hospitable and friendly. I ordered three plates or combinations to go. The portions were generous and prices were reasonable. I really wanted to like this place but the food is so-so. For one, the fried rice and the chow mein were both bland. The pepper shrimp was ok but again, the shrimp was limp and not firm. I bought orange chicken and kung pao shrimp for my boys and they said both dishes were average, nothing to write home about. read more

If I could give a zero I would. I ordered noodle soup and literally got just unflavored noodles in a big bowl. The Chinese food I ordered was burnt. It obviously been under a heating lamp for a very long time. The beef was chewy. The taste of all the food was just awful. I spent over $60 and had to throw everything away. I have to say that this may be the worst Chinese restaurant I've ever been to in my life. I got the broccoli and beef. It was like broccoli with a few pieces of beef jerky. I got the chicken teriyaki that was like teriyaki jerky. They couldn't even get their rice, right. The place is a mess. There's boxes in seats not very clean. I ordered on Uber Eats. My husband had the combination fried rice and said it was ok. That's where the two stars come from but my sweet-and-sour chicken was the worst I've ever had. It was cold and dry and it was delivered 25 minutes after I ordered it so it didn't have time to get that cold. I ordered the sauce on the side and instead of a nice thick sweet-and-sour sauce, I got a little thin pink ramekin of what I can only assume is watered down sweet-and-sour but it had very little flavor. I did use some Chinese mustard to try and get some of it down and that was better than their sweet-and-sour. The steam rice was excellent. And surprisingly much warmer than the chicken read more

I am always satisfied with this place. They are quick and easy for a late lunch or dinner choice. Usually this is a dinner choice made by the kids, so I know I'm going to get a lot of food for your money. It's usually always freshly made. You can get some pretty good options, compared to just the usual hot and ready food at the counter. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The price point is very good as well. For the ambiance, I have never sat down and eaten there but it seems like they're always working on stuff in the corner of the restaurant, which just makes me feel like it's more authentic and better than the usual drive thru franchise. read more

We arrived really close to their closing time and felt really bad, but other people walked in behind us and the employees were very friendly. I went here for the first time a week ago as a stop-over from my drive from NorCal to SoCal for school. I needed something relatively cheap but filling and this place hit the spot! 10/10 recommend the chicken breast with black bean sauce. Very sweet customer service and they will PACK the plate. We were welcomed upon entrance and the lady who helped me, was extremely helpful and friendly. Honestly, I felt like we were catered to. The customer service was amazing. I ordered 3 plates for me and my coworkers, and two more of my coworkers ordered their own plates, as well. She offered a box to carry our orders, and threw in a lot of Sriracha, soy sauce, and fortune cookies. I ordered the Combo B plate with chow mein, fried rice, and a choice of two entrees. The Orange Chicken was tasty! The green beans in the Green Bean Beef were neither over or undercooked. She also filled my plate to the max! Totally opposite of Panda Express. Ive come here a total of 3 times, once when we first moved here, and now twice in the last 30days. Im thinking it was an out if sight out of mind issue, because i dont know why it took me so long to come back. The ready made selections are very decent, and the ala carte orders are mouth watering. Taste way better then Panda and the smells are a mouth watering over load. The egg flower soup is to die for, legit flavors and the people running it are beyond sweet. We couldn't visit our family in the SGV (626) area for CNY (Chinese New Year) eve dinner. So we choosed this place as we knew they had entree that you could order that was not on the hot trays. It was our first time trying off menu and it was very good. We ordered the Braised String Beans, nice and Al dente and flavor full of garlic and spice. The egg plant with garlic sauce and Tofu Pot is something we are coming back for again soon, everything about it was nice and saucy and cooked perfectly. They were out of salt and pepper squid so we opted for the shrimp. Wife said it was on point except for being spicier than most places. And the last is mapo tofu with minced pork. I ordered this extra spicy, which made pouring over rice soo worth it. This place totally saved my broken heart of not being able to be at our family Chinese New Year Eve dinner. Garlic tofu is delicious! It comes in a slightly spicy sauce. Huge portions. Love the combos. We got the combo C with two items of tofu and mixed vegetables as the third item. The vegetables were tender crisp And in a tasty garlic sauce. The combo also includes fried rice and chow mein. You can't beat it for $9.89. The two of us were able to share the combo with a little leftovers. They didn't have enough tofu on hot deck so the cook made us fresh tofu. The flavorful hot and sour soup is vegetarian, yay! I refuse to go here ever again. I usually don't like to go to places if they are closing soon because I don't like to be "that customer" but I arrived around 8:20 and they close at 9. I ordered two combos and one beef chow mein. The noodles on the steam tables looked like they had been there for a while (but since they were closing it was fine). They packed the combos and was fine but once they got to the beef chow mein order they took the chow mein from the steam table and recooked it with beef ! This is my go to Chinese food stop. They still make bbq pork the old fashion way. I asked them if they can make beef chow fun with gravy (Chinese version of rad na) and they delivered. It's so so good. I asked them if they can make salt and pepper pork chop. It's to die for! One of my favorite Chinese combo plate places in town. My go-to entree: beef with green beans. Beans are still crunchy and fresh prepared.
