Visited this buffet for the first time on Friday for lunch. The reviews were somewhat mixed, but we decided to give it a try since it is relatively local to where we live. It was not crowded at all, given the time of day. We were immediately seated and able to begin building our plates. The restaurant is large, and enough space for a larger party. There is both booth and table seating. There are two main lines, and then one in the back with desserts. I thought there were a good amount of choices, with a lot of variety so that anyone would be satisfied with their meal. The food was hot, and they were attentive to refilling things as they were emptied. My personal favorites were the various chickens, and the Crab Rangoons. There were some more unique items that were fun to try as well, such as the Seafood Salad and even some sushi offerings. The wait staff was quick and kind. Our drinks were refilled frequently, and they came to check our table multiple times. It is a small operation, as the wait staff was also refilling the buffet trays as they were emptied. Overall, I thought it was an acceptable buffet. It is not the largest I have ever been to, but is satisfactory and provides a lot of choices, For two for lunch, including drinks, it was a little over $30, and I thought the value was there for the price. A lot of the negative reviews of this place come around eating there for dinner, so the experience might be different if visiting at that time. I went on a Tuesday evening around 6. The majority of the food was 3/4th empty. I tried a handful of different kinds and they were not even warm. The gentleman asked if he could help and I said, well all the food is cold. Another lady came running over and pointed out the full, hot, and fresh chicken they just put out. Obviously, yes, that will be fine. I pointed out the rest of the buffet that was not. They offered to make anything I wanted. I stated you can't make the entire buffet. The guy followed me back to my seat and apologized. He said he's been in the food industry for a long time and only helps when he can and keeps telling them that in order to keep a buffet business, you need to keep things going and fresh. I didn't pay for the few bites I had but left a more than generous tip and wished they did better next time but not sure I'll go back. The worst buffet I have ever ate, food was well done, over cooked, food appeared to be setting in the pans for hours, although the staff was friendly, they hovered over you as you ate. At the end the cost of the meal blew me away, we had a 4-year-old with us and charged us for adult meal. Look before choosing other options to eat at in Pittsburgh. read more

The food was terrible dry, over cooked, hard to bit into. Trays were pretty bare minimum. This place is gross and dirty. Kitchen looked dirty and place did not seem to have heat they had electric heaters in the bathroom.No prices listed for the buffet we never got straws or napkins I had to ask for them. The waitress was very rude acting the service sucked. We finished our food because we don't like wasting food. I found two good things to eat there out of 8 things I had. After we were done we decided not to go for seconds we went to checkout and pay and my friend paid for us. He asked for his change oh your not leaving a tip and he said no we are not she was very rude about everything and she did not even give him the right change back like she was gonna pocket it. The update for this review is well overdue. I just forgot I reviewed this in the forst place. Upon further inspection this place is NOT clean. I get that most buffets are kind of gross but you can see into the dish wash station if u go to the bathroom and my lord i wish i hadn't seen or heard what i seen and heard. to elaborate a little bit , those plates and utensils are NOT clean. It appears to be under new management / ownership. Food quality and variety has improved substantially albeit all chicken offerings that we had today were overcooked and dry. Service was the biggest improvement as our waitress was refilling our glasses before we even knew we were low whereas in the past, you had to go find your waitress to get a refill and your bill. That said, the soft music has been replaced by very loud Chinese pop music videos played on the TV with 20ish girls dancing and pole dancing in skimpy lingerie. So not a place to take the family especially if you have children. And as inevitably happens, the prices have gone up 10-15%. read more

This place is FILTHY! Dirty dishes and disgusting bathrooms are the norm. Food is mediocre at best. "Hostess" was rude when she seated me. I used to eat there often and they never minded if I took a tiny roll or cookie with me. This time they had some sugar-coated peanuts there and I put a few of them in a tiny paper container which was there for the condiments. There were maybe 10 peanuts in it and as I went up to pay the hostess, she started literally screaming at me, NO TAKE HOME! NO TAKE HOME! EAT FOOD HERE. NO TAKE HOME! I am updating this review. Since the other 2 close-by Chinese buffets I use to go to are now closed this is the main one I go to now. #covidproblems The price is just very affordable. When I went with my dad is was like 15 dollars for both of us. The food is also decent although some of it is kind of really too oily sometimes but still. I love the mussels and various other things and I go here to make sure they stay open. They get a lot of business so many also realize the good deal. I do not recommend all the food here so would suggest sampling before trying ... the spinach, sushi and various other things are not super great because not all the food is the same quality but I really do like the ice cream, the fresh fruit, some of the seafood options (like the cheesy mussels and imitation crab dish - was not a fan of the baby shrimp tho), the peanut chicken, the green beans and broccoli, the mushrooms, the very thin noodles, fried wontons with cream cheese and the fish. This use to be our GO TO buffet. It's been 6 months or more since we've been there. We went on 10/12/2024 at 12:30 p.m. (Saturday) EVERYTHING was cold. The chicken on a stick was so tough I couldn't chew it. The only thing that was passable and warm was the General Tso"s. After we got our first disappointing plate of food we thought the would replenish the food trays because they were close to empty. But, they didn't. I went up to try a few different thing and there wasn't even steam coming out from around the food trays. Not only that, when I looked at the ceiling the tiles were moldy and a thick stings of dust and cob webs was coming out of the air vents. This is the last time we will go there. read more

This was one of the most dustiest, greasy, dingy, gross buffets I have ever been too. The food was just gross, there was dust on everything, the walls were covered in greasy fingerprints and there was trash all over the front of the restaurant. My family used to love this place for lunch on Sundays....but now has new owners. Lunch price has greatly increased and while there are a few more food selections, most times when we went up to buffet, trays were empty and needed to be refilled. I visited a few weeks ago and go and thought maybe was a one off on the temperature, but it was not. They are using more shallow pans, and food is not staying hot. The customer service is terrible! The food is either watery, sticky, or the tray is just empty. The table is very sticky even if you try to wipe it down. The food is odd tasting. Honestly don't understand everyones negative reviews. Let me clear some things up. The place is not a mess or dirty. At least not at the time of me writing this. The price is fantastic. Me and my girlfriend come here specifically because its cheap. Rougly 26 dollars for dinner and 2 drinks. We would tell you the price for lunch but thats what we are getting now so dont know yet! I won't lie. Sometimes it doesn't taste all the flavorful, VERY rarely (we come every Saturday). But it usually is very good. If your coming in 30 minutes to close or after open, expect less choices and less quality. I back them up on this. Our first visit was 30 minutes to close. At first i was severly dissapointed in the quality but the manager was very kind and explained they were just closing but were happy to refill anything fresh if we would have asked. So we came back much earlier and it was MUCH better. In short, your paying VERY cheap. For its price, i think the food is beyond good! But overall, i know this isnt the best Chinese food. Ive had better. Im not coming for fantastic die hard ungodly great food. Im coming for some pretty good food thats extremly cheap. And thats what i get. The negative reviews are of people expecting more out of a roughly 13 dollar per person buffet. Hell thats cheaper and taste better then golden coral (17 per person). I don't understand all the positive 5 star reviews... The website is another story from what you actually walk into. Boasts a lot of shrimp and sea food choices, get there and only two. Sticky table, dirty walls, filthy ceiling, finger prints on everything that was at one time white, cracked vinyl seats, waitress brought the wrong drink, opened the plastic lid right in front of us to inspect it like we were trying to fool her. I get it, we're in a pandemic but to be served on styrofoam plates and cups with plastic utensils!? We walked in and my boyfriend said, "Let's go." but that website had me excited for all the shrimp so I gave it a go. Not even a plate later, we left with belly aches and disgusted we just paid $27 for grease, bland food on dishes and cups used for a batchelor or a family picnic. A beginner could cook a homemade meal better and cheaper than this food. Save your hand sanitizer and stay out of here. Go to Hokkaido for a buffet that is 100x better. I had a lot of bad food in my life but this place beats them all!!! I've never been this mad to write a review. First, the prices are wrong on line..add 2 more dollars for each order. When brought to managers attention she got mad and started screaming " u bring price I'm manager!" Then when we got the food home my order was wrong ( I order fried rice and got white). But the worse was the food had NO FLAVOR! I ordered beef and vegetables and only 2 vegetables didn't come from a can. The beef and gravy had no flavor at all. I'm not picky.... So I came despite the negative reviews. That was a mistake. I wasn't expecting great food.... But what I got was worse. Bland greasy gritty chicken in all the chicken dishes. Grease is they key here , even the green beans were soaked in grease. Shrimp was okay, but I have a feeling I'll regret it tomorrow. It just really was not good at all. Sorry to give this review because the folks that work this business are really nice. Actually this centers more around the establishment than the actual food. The darn place is filthy from front to back!! The restrooms are not useable as they are as nasty as can be. Anyway, I guess you get the point. I've been a customer here for years... eat in, takeout and even catered! The food is always fresh and delicious and you can't beat the price! Very clean establishment... they are constantly refilling items! I even had them make some catered items for my daughters graduation party...and it was fabulous!!! Used to frequent this restaurant for lunch a few times a month for several years back when I worked in a nearby office park. I haven't been here in 3 years or more, but finally returned after we are getting back to normal after the pandemic. The lunch experience was fantastic. All of the flavors were just like I remembered. Food is piping hot, and constantly being refreshed. Staff is very polite, I missed them.
