With that, he promptly hung up on me. Ten minutes out, I called again and tried to order eggplant in garlic sauce and fish in chili oil. The same man I had spoken to before had tried to get me to just place the order when I arrived at the restaurant, but I again told him that we were trying to avoid waiting for our food since we had young children (now screaming) in the car. He reluctantly took my order (I was told that my third request--vermicelli with spiced minced pork--was not available). Frustratingly, when we arrived at the restaurant, they had not even started cooking our food, so we had to wait about 15 minutes. The food itself was superb. The eggplant is some of the best I've had. The fish in chili oil was also wonderfully tender, though there was a slightly higher ratio of Napa cabbage to fish than what I've usually experienced for this dish at other restaurants. The interior of the restaurant was modest and cafeteria-like. I can't comment on the service quality for dining in. Customer Feedback…read more The reason I'm leaving this feedback is because our host, Sunny, was very respectful, kind, and welcoming. Everything was clean, and the food was served hot. However, our waitress, Lisa, was very disrespectful and unprofessional. When we were speaking to her, she would walk away, and her attitude came across as rude. She was also very quiet but had a smart mouth when responding to us. We did not appreciate the way we were treated. We understand that everyone can have a bad day, but customers should still be treated with respect and professionalism. If someone does not want to work, no one is forcing them to, but that should not result in customers receiving poor treatment. We hope Lisa understands how her behavior made us feel and takes this feedback seriously. We truly appreciate Sunny for being kind and respectful and hope management recognizes the difference in our experience.

I gotta say, it's one of the best deals in the 315. Does Firudo serve the best sushi I've ever had? No, not even close but it's definitely good enough for the price you're paying. The AYCE also comes with a couple caveats. You're limited to 10 pieces of sashimi and 10 pieces of sushi- you can get as many maki/hand rolls as you'd like. So keep that in mind. I've never had a wait at Firudo and the staff is attentive. It's very clearly a family run business, which I appreciate. As long as you don't go expecting Jiro dreams of sushi, I think you'll have a great meal.
