Very clean albeit spartan place. Mainly takeout but there are 6 tables of 4 for dine in. I chose to fine in. Extremely friendly owners and waitress. The portions are huge and inexpensive so if I was eating solely for value I'd give them 5 stars. Got the Kung Pao Chicken and the Jumbo Shrimp with Garlic Sauce. The shrimp was my favorite of the two with the shrimp being cooked just right. The Kung Pao chicken was fine, just didn't have much spice to it (personal preference I guess). They do have a nice hot sauce on the side at each table. read more

Terrific food. Had the red curry shrimp (twice) with white rice. Perhaps the most savory Asian cuisine I've ever had. The shrimp and vegetables were fresh, the sauce (I just wanted to put a straw in it and be done with it!), and the rice cooked to perfection--that is, not starchy-sticky. The ambiance is adequate for a mainly take-out joint, and the staff is pleasant and efficient. Lots of dishes to choose from. I'd say this is a gem of a place for lunch or take-out. Tonight I was craving really good handmade Asian food, so tonight I decided to try this spot. I drive by it all the time, but never have stopped in before. I ordered online - truly a staple these days - for takeout. Two orders of stir fried pork and egg noodles, as well as some pan fried dumplings. Everyone inside the restaurant was so nice, and helpful. The entire drive home, the food was causing my mouth to water. The dumplings were crispy and tender with a great dipping sauce on the side. And the pork and egg noodles were definitely good, coming with a chili oil side incase we wanted heat. I would definitely try more off of the menu, there's also curries, as well as some other fun foods to check out so we will definitely be trying out more in the future read more

The new Asian Cafe, operated by Michelle Zheng, has opened in Fayetteville, in the space formerly occupied by Pita N' Wrap at 511 E. Genesee St., in the Fayetteville Square. I knew I had to go here when I saw the menu included Chinese and Thai entrees, teriyaki, and dishes with homemade Ramen noodles, including Lan Zhou Ramen and Ramen noodle soup. There is takeout, along with some seating inside. The inside looks like a much nicer, cleaner, more modern Chinese shop. So the wife and I stopped over the weekend. There's only a handful of booths and tables in the place, as it's a small place, but they're nice booths and we were able to sit right away. Only take out style menus right now, even if you're sitting. We looked it over quickly but pretty much already knew what we were getting. The wife ordered some crab Rangoon and their regular beef Ramen, while I got an order of pan fried dumplings and their red braised beef Ramen, with white radish, red chilli oil and cilantro. Our dumplings and Rangoon were brought quickly and were very good. I LOVE dumplings, but I like them a certain way, and some places make them the way I like them, and some don't. Asian Cafe makes them perfectly. They are home made, thin skinned, pan fried but tender, and full of flavor. The dipping sauce is also not the usual soy-based gyoza sauce most places serve, but a different home made tasty sauce. Our dishes were brought soon after and were great. Their home made Ramen noodles are definitely more Lan Zhou style than what a lot of Americans may be used to, but they're amazing. Perfect shape, size and consistency. They have great flavor and a wonderful chewiness to them. The braised beef in my Ramen had amazing flavor to it, and they do NOT skimp you on meat in your Ramen. There was a ton of meat, flavorful broth and while it seemed like a small bowl, it was extremely filling and I couldn't completely finish it. Everything was very affordable, and the family who owns it waited on us and were extremely nice. It is in a small plaza, so while there's a good amount of parking spots, there are a bunch of shops in a small space, so they can fill up quickly. I wish this place was closer to me so I could get it all the time. The noodles are amazing and I recommend any noodle lovers go and check them out! read more

Yeah, this place. Let me tell you. Fantastic. Hand-pulled noodles for their ramen soup. Hand-made dumplings. I didnt try anything else, but I'm not sure I ever need to with these items. Its really really good. I had the red braised beef ramen soup, which was a "rich broth" and it was perfect. There's little spice to it, but there is red chili pepper oil on the table if you want to spice it up. Oh, and thats real steak in the soup. Homemade, hand-pulled noodles in Fayetteville! Yes, please! The specialty of this place is the homemade noodles, which taste fresh and vibrant and delicious. You can get them in a variety of soups (including the famous Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup featured on the menu-cover) and stir-fries. They have meat, seafood, and vegetarian options, so everyone can try these wonderful noodles. The menu calls their noodle soup "ramen," but actually it's Western Chinese-style soup, so there's no egg (etc.) and the broth is clear rather than milky. And of course the homemade Lanzhou noodles are much better than any freeze-dried ramen noodles. Their Lanzhou-style noodle soups are garnished with cilantro and a touch of toasted chili oil-- just enough to add a bit of warmth and a pleasant shimmer, but far from searingly spicy. Extra chili oil is available at the table, so you can add heat if you want. I've seen folks in DC and NYC line up 10-deep at lunchtime for hand-pulled noodles that aren't as good as the ones here at Asian Cafe. I love coming here! Great location. It is always very clean and fast ACCURATE service. The hostess is very pleasant and welcoming. I enjoy the red curry tofu and my husband likes to get the the chicken version. It is very delicious, crispy tofu, lots of sauce and veggies. Their prices are reasonable and large portions. I always have enough for leftovers that tartare even better the next day. You can ask for spiciness level. I have tried other dishes here as well and not disappointed. Better than cookie cutter takeout! This is my new Chinese restaurant for sure. The pan seared dumplings were AMAZING. The dipping sauce was perfect; not too salty, not too sweet, it's the perfect flavorful dumpling sauce. The General Tso's chicken is a notch up in quality from the usual cookie cutter takeout version. It is served separate from the serving of fresh steamed veggies you get with it. It came with broccoli, carrots, and green beans. I really appreciated this because it allows the veggies to act as the perfect balance to the fried chicken without being covered in sauce. AMAZING difference. The egg roll was good, and they send you home with a cup of duck sauce for dipping, so you don't have to mess with the packets if you don't want to. I look forward to trying the hibachi, and teriyaki items. The woman at the counter was friendly and professional. My online order was ready very shortly after I arrived, and was correct.
