    dumplings in a styrofoam container
    Nicole D.

YUMMY asian food - everything we had was so fresh and definitely homemade. The dumplings (and the dumpling sauce) were fantastic. My husband ordered the chicken fried rice, I got the chicken lo mein and we also got dumplings and egg rolls. The food came out fast and was hot. Definitely recommend!

Small restaurant with sit down booths. Order at the counter and they will bring you the food. They have a new additional Ramen menu. I ordered the spicy curry- light coconut, perfectly cooked noodles with veggies. Extra chili oil on the table. Yum!!! I'll try the miso broth next - definitely want to be back.

The new Asian Cafe, operated by Michelle Zheng, has opened in Fayetteville, in the space formerly occupied by Pita N' Wrap at 511 E. Genesee St., in the Fayetteville Square. I knew I had to go here when I saw the menu included Chinese and Thai entrees, teriyaki, and dishes with homemade Ramen noodles, including Lan Zhou Ramen and Ramen noodle soup. There is takeout, along with some seating inside. The inside looks like a much nicer, cleaner, more modern Chinese shop. So the wife and I stopped over the weekend. There's only a handful of booths and tables in the place, as it's a small place, but they're nice booths and we were able to sit right away. Only take out style menus right now, even if you're sitting. We looked it over quickly but pretty much already knew what we were getting. The wife ordered some crab Rangoon and their regular beef Ramen, while I got an order of pan fried dumplings and their red braised beef Ramen, with white radish, red chilli oil and cilantro. Our dumplings and Rangoon were brought quickly and were very good. I LOVE dumplings, but I like them a certain way, and some places make them the way I like them, and some don't. Asian Cafe makes them perfectly. They are home made, thin skinned, pan fried but tender, and full of flavor. The dipping sauce is also not the usual soy-based gyoza sauce most places serve, but a different home made tasty sauce. Our dishes were brought soon after and were great. Their home made Ramen noodles are definitely more Lan Zhou style than what a lot of Americans may be used to, but they're amazing. Perfect shape, size and consistency. They have great flavor and a wonderful chewiness to them. The braised beef in my Ramen had amazing flavor to it, and they do NOT skimp you on meat in your Ramen. There was a ton of meat, flavorful broth and while it seemed like a small bowl, it was extremely filling and I couldn't completely finish it. Everything was very affordable, and the family who owns it waited on us and were extremely nice. It is in a small plaza, so while there's a good amount of parking spots, there are a bunch of shops in a small space, so they can fill up quickly. I wish this place was closer to me so I could get it all the time. The noodles are amazing and I recommend any noodle lovers go and check them out!

Yeah, this place. Let me tell you. Fantastic. Hand-pulled noodles for their ramen soup. Hand-made dumplings. I didnt try anything else, but I'm not sure I ever need to with these items. Its really really good. I had the red braised beef ramen soup, which was a "rich broth" and it was perfect. There's little spice to it, but there is red chili pepper oil on the table if you want to spice it up. Oh, and thats real steak in the soup. Not some slimy sliced "beef" like you might find elsewhere. The dumplings were pork, and the filling was ridiculously good. Comes with dipping sauce. 8 to a plate.

Best place for the cleanest tasting Asian take out! Their ramen or beef fried rice is my go to order. Terrific food and service.

Very clean restaurant with good food. Very fresh ingredients. I little pricy if you're getting take out. Not your average Asian takeout

Good Jajjangmyeon in Ithaca!…read more My parents recommended this spot to me- and they are very particular about their Asian food. They absolutely hated Kimchi. I finally got around to trying Asia Cuisine though must admit I was a bit hesitant given their extensive menu (I feel like if a restaurant offers too many types of cuisines the quality takes a hit). However, I was pleasantly surprised! I had been craving jajjangmyeon (I had it once at Koko's but it was not good) and ordered Asia Cuisine's C3 green tea noodle w jajang sauce. The noodles were delicious! Al dente and the slightest hint of green tea flavor! The jajang sauce was a tad oily and not super traditional, though I still enjoyed it- especially the addition of onions! Service was okay. Nothing exceptional. While I haven't tried any of their other menu items, I would recommend their green tea noodle jajjangmyeon!

Pretty straightforwardly named Asian cuisine. They offer a combination of Chinese Japanese and Korean food. I had a tasty Bulgogi bento box which had tempura, a California roll, japchae, salad with ginger, purple multigrain rice and of course the delicious bulgogi. It's a casual atmosphere with friendly service. We honestly walked in cause we overheard several people saying it was better than "this", "this", and "that". But honestly the aroma from the kitchen was enough to draw me in. Definitely tasty, fresh, well portioned and highly recommended.

Dawn Light is an incredible gem. After much online search, my husband discovered this Burmese-run…read morerestaurant through its Facebook page and took the family there for lunch. What a treat! This was one of the best meals I've ever had in Utica. Although the menu is pan-Asian, with Indian, Chinese, Korean, Thai, and Burmese cuisine featured, we ordered five Burmese items: the tea leaf salad, coconut noodle, fish noodle soup, Burmese milk tea, and a coconut milk-based sticky rice dessert. Everything was terrific and authentic. The tea leaf salad was actually quite spicy, but wonderfully pungent and intense yet textured with the crunchy peanuts. I also loved the mohinga--this, too, was a slightly spicier version than what I've had in the past. However, I loved how flavorful it was. Milder in flavor was the coconut noodle soup, which our toddlers liked more. The milk tea was sweet and strong--a great accompaniment to our savory and spicy meal. To end our meal, we got a box of five pieces of sweet coconut milk sticky rice cake, which was chewy and very yummy! The food was all made fresh to order, affordably priced, and truly delicious. The restaurant itself was spacious and clean. It seemed like it was a bit of a hangout spot for Burmese in the community. Dawn Light is an absolute highlight in the Utica restaurant scene--I wish them longevity as I hope to return many times in the future!

I explained I was waiting for my train later that night. They initially thought I was asking if I could wait inside the restaurant without ordering, but even then, they were more than happy to let me wait there. Second, the food is AMAZING! I ordered the bento box, which came with fries, seaweed salad, miso soup, your choice of sushi (I got avocado & salmon), and your choice of chicken, beef, or shrimp tempura (I got shrimp tempura). If I'm being 100% truthful, these were one of the crispiest fries I've ever eaten! The seaweed salad was so crunchy and yummy, the shrimp tempura was very flavorful especially with the sauce. The miso soup was the right amount of salty and the sushi, well, it was sushi; it was AWESOMEE. I genuinely don't have any complaints about this place. I will say it was a bit cold in there, but that's what jackets are for :). It was spacious and well decorated. I would definitely visit again, there are so many options to choose from!!
