I had the diced chicken and shrimp combo which was exceptionally delicious and a bit unique- would be a special order at most other Chinese restaurants. I give this place 2 stars only because I asked for plain fried rice and I got vegetable rice and it was hard need to be cooked longer. I got lo mein noodles and they were a little dry, could use more sauce. Overall my food came up to $21 don't think it was worth that amount. Ignore all bad reviews over 6 months old because there are new owners and they are doing a fantastic job! Unlike the previous owner, you are greeted with a friendly smile and a helpful attitude. They have really cleaned up this place and made it comfortable- electric fireplace in the dining room to make it warm and cozy in the winter. Very clean. I was NOT impressed! Shrimp Fried Rice- bland and should have cooked a little longer, No fried taste whatsoever. The Hot Mustard, stiffed and tasted like poison was in it. The last thing I needed today was more aggravation from Fortune Hawaii, the restaurant catering my luncheon. I placed an order through delivery.com approximately 24 hours prior to the delivery time that I was requesting. This was the first time I used the website for a relatively large lunch order. My order was processed and I received the usual confirmation. I decided to call and confirm the order with Fortune Hawaii this morning to make sure everything was going to run smoothly. The woman that answered the phone at Fortune Hawaii around 11 am was very rude, told me she knew nothing about the order. I tried to ask her a follow up question and she proceeded to hang up on me. Well, I had an office of 10 people waiting and relying on me to bring them lunch. I called Fortune Hawaii right back and said if you do not have the order, can I place it with you right now? She again was extremely rude and said to call Delivery.com. Upon calling delivery.com, they told me the order was received and confirmed at 11:05 am and that I did not have to worry about the order not showing up. I then called the restaurant a third time around 11:40 and they said the order was being delivered. I was relieved. This was definite aggravation that I did not need to deal with this morning. I did not appreciate the attitude of the woman at Fortune Hawaii either. If only I called to confirm the order 5 minutes later.... The office enjoyed the food. I ordered two family packs and a bunch of egg rolls. It was a very large portion of food and was delivered hot. They had tons of left overs. The prices were very reasonable and the selection was large. It looked and smelled good but I was too irritated to try the food. Food and portion size are pretty good. It taste better than other places we tried. 2. Lady at the counter really needs to improve her customer service skills and attitude, constantly trying to rush customers out and speak really abruptly. I don't know if she's really burned out or just culturally indifferent, it just looks like she's being so obviously not caring (rude). I understand everyone gotta hustle for business. This is a very overlooked Chinese gem ! This is by far the best, very best Chinese take-out you will find around. The food here is excellent! I have ordered dozens of times from here and they have never screwed up my order once. Their menu is huge and they will customize things to your liking. Everything is prepared when it is ordered NOT sitting in buffet bins waiting for you to order.The place has a maybe 4 tables for eating in and always clean. Staying in Fayetteville for a family member's funeral and we needed to find a place that would deliver to our hotel. I'm not sure who the regular clientele of this particular restaurant but this was probably the most bland chinese takeout I've had. We ordered the crab ragoons, vegetable lo mein, shrimp chow mei fun, and the yang chow fried rice. The ragoons were probably the best thing we had, but it isn't too hard to mess that up. This restaurant also has Thai food, I hope that has much more seasoning then the regular chinese food they seem to turn out. Since the other reviews looked pretty good I had much better hope for our meal turning out somewhat tasty, all to no avail. Another relative went and picked up Lee's for their family and if you are able to go pick up your order, I would recommend you try there instead of this place. read more

This is by far the Best take out in Syracuse. Their Teriyaki beef strips as an appetizer are so juicy ,tender , mouth watering appetizer. The main course sesame chicken WHITE MEAT ONLY is stated right on the menu and it is one of my favorites. The Pad Thai Chicken is another delicious favorite of mine. My husband and I like to have Chinese food on Sunday nights. We have tried many places for delivery and was not very happy with what we had so many times we do the PF Changs from the grocery store. I was in the mood for delivery so we tried Fortune Hawaii again. Tonight was the 2nd time we were given the wrong order. I ordered something new for the appetizer and a combination plate. When the food came I started eating it and commented to my husband I liked the appetizer I ordered. My husband asked me what it was and I said I wasn't sure so I pulled out the receipt and saw it was someone else's order. I should of learned to look. I already ate part of the appetizer and started on the soup before this was realized. I was searching for my phone to call and in the meantime they called my husband. My husband passed the phone over to me and I was being yelled at by the delivery guy. Saying why did I eat someone else's food and it cost more than what I order and I owed him money. The difference 7 cents. He continued to yell and me saying this was all my fault. I tried to explain this was a new order for me and I didn't eat the food on purpose I would of rather had my combination plate that I ordered. Overall customer service HORRIBLE. I do not want to give my money to a restaurant to be yelled at when something was not my fault. So I was in the mood for some Chinese takeout for dinner and decided to head out to Fortune Hawaii. When I got there, I ordered a "bento box" which stated on the menu, came with "Thai fried rice, General Tso's Shrimp, dumplings and a spring roll". On the side, I also ordered a pint of boneless spareribs (my favorite) and scallion pancakes. I figured I'd have enough food to share. Fine. Sounds delicious. What I got was an order of unimpressive rice, two small dumplings, and what I considered somewhat unbelievable--THREE small shrimp swimming in a pool of sauce. This (the bento box) is what cost $8.95? To be fair, the shrimp I did get were decent, but I have definitely had better. As for the boneless ribs, they had a nice flavor and were fairly meaty, but I found them distinctly on the dry side. The scallion pancakes were also nothing to write home about, in my humble opinion - a little too bland and greasy for my taste. Bottom line, I can find better Chinese food in larger portions for much less than what was paid for my meal here. I don't find it necessary to pay nearly nine dollars for what is essentially a meal of three shrimp and a small portion of rice. :-( read more
