Ok, so it's not exactly like the east coast Chinese food. BUT it's pretty good for the southwest. We tried the hot and sour soup (it was quite good after we added a bit more soy sauce). The chicken chow mein with rice noodles was tasty (and there were zero peas and carrots! Shocking!) There weren't any bean sprouts and there was so many rice noodles that it was kinda dry, but if you go at it with no prior expectations, it's good. The BBQ pork is quite good and the crab puffs are tasty. We noticed there are deep fried chicken fingers that we didn't try cause the disappointment would be too much to handle without the Apple ish fruity ish duck sauce like the east coast. I've been eating at China Chef for quite a while, mogolian beef is one of my favorite choices. It is listed as a spicy dish. The heat of the dish had always been right for me. They must have a new cook, because now the dish is burning hot, I returned the mongolian beef, after 2 bites, my mouth was burning, and started sweating. Some weeks later I tried another order same thing. Too hot. If you order a dish that is listed as spicy, be warned that it may be too hot for you to eat. China Chef. The worst of all worst in customer service. Just dont go there. Orders are always late. Sitting in there you hear everyone complain. We as a family spend $55. to $110. a week there. Our order was 15 minutes late. We know to always check it before you leave. They rang in one item wrong.They gave us Shrimp fried rice not Shrimp lo mein. They had to remake it. 15 minutes later its done. They charged him for the item we didnt order and the new order .I called they said bring in the receipt .I took it in last night. Manager is terrible, She says you have to bring food back. Thats not what they told me. She is arguing with me. No refund. So I am arguing with her. I was there also getting a 55. order again. On a friend's recommendation I tried this place out. I can only speak for two of the dishes General Tso chicken and beef and broccoli. Let me first say I'm so happy that they didn't put carrots in the beef and broccoli. The General Tso chicken could have been spicier. The beef and broccoli had tons of garlic which was tasty. Both dishes come with broccoli and it was steamed to perfection... Still crunchy!! I really wanted Mongolian beef but their picture turned me off with the added veggies and look of it. read more

Moved here not to long ago. During the pandemic decided to order from this place. They told us our order would be ready in 45 mins. Got there and it wasn't ready so waited in the car for another hour. Finally got our meals, brought it home and the order was completely wrong. Still ate it since it took so long to get. There is really not much to say about Chinese Food. My experience is they are all about the same. I usually look toward my regular wherever I go. Some type of Orange Chicken and a Combo Fried Rice. I also added Hot and Sour Soup. The meal was only slightly satisfying. It was lacking flavor. The soup had very little except broth. The Chicken was just average. And the Fried Rice was lacking flavor as well. There are other locations closer to my house in this area I would drift to. Not a place that I would tend to want to go back to. read more

Easily the best Chinese in the San Tan area! For the past two years I have been disappointed in an area where most consider PandaExpress the height of Oriental eating and am happy now that I have found a place for me. It is one of the few places around where all of the Chinese dishes don,t taste the same. The business here is mostly take out. I ordered the rice noodles with Chicken. Food was hot and fresh but really nothing special, actually could have used more chicken and more vegetables would be a big improvement. BF had the Orange Chicken and the Hot and Sour soup. Both of these items are indicated as spicy on menu but were not even close, even bordering on bland. Perhaps they are catering to their customer base, although this has not been my experience with other Chinese restaurants in the area. Service was quick, food was hot, price was reasonable, but on the whole, just ho-hum. Plenty of other Chinese places to choose from, so probably would not go back. read more

Located in the Fry's shopping plaza just down from Dance Matrix, China Chef is where I order Chinese from in Queen Creek. The quality of the food is excellent and the wait time is short. I have always phoned in and picked up the order, although there are seats available if you choose to eat in the restaurant. I am basically a creature of habit and always order the same thing - General Tso (comes with rice & egg roll) and a small hot & sour soup. The combo dinner is $7 and the soup is $1.50. I typically finish the soup, but can only make it through half of the entree. Save it for a follow-up lunch and it is economical for 2 meals. The service and food quality has never let me down and I will continue to make this my primary choice in Queen Creek. read more

I have never had any issues with the quality of service and all the food I have tried there has been good or excellent.
