This is a late review but I wanted to make sure this restaurant received the recognition they deserve! We ordered for delivery on Wednesday. I called around 4:00 to have our food delivered by 6:30-7:00 and they were right one time. I Have never called the Police but that was exactly what happened today May 2025. I was ordering from the LUNCH menu at LUNCH TIME. I was bringing home some lunch for TWO. I handed my credit card to pay as I walked away I thought how much did she charge me??! $57.00 for LUNCH. I came up to the counter and saw this huge box of food!! You needed two hands to pick it up. It was packed. I simply replied I ordered from the lunch menu each entree is $8.80 it was 2:00 2:15 LUNCH time. She said "You didn't tell me". I said what didn't I tell you? "It was lunch time"? I asked for her to fix the mistake And fix her error. She refused. SCREAMING at me while others were there eating. This altercation went on for 20 minutes Calling me "crazy" and ordering me out of the restaurant. I could not believe her attitude towards me and her behavior . She kept pushing the big box of food at me. I kept saying "no I want a refund. After a few long minutes I asked for a complete refund. She kept saying NO you should have told me you were ordering lunch!! Ha! No way, I finally called the Police. 3 police officers came in minutes and I got my $57.00 back! Chen's is our goto Chinese restaurant near our house. We get takeout here regularly. The staff is always super friendly and very fast. Usually takes about 15 minutes for our food to be ready. The restaurant has a classic American Chinese food feel to it. Food is always delicious. Wonton soup is my wife's favorite. I love the orange beef and chicken chow mein. read more

A very unfriendly Chinese woman controls the counter and doesn't really seem like she wants you there. After eating the food, i don't want to be there either. First off, the soda was flat. The sesame chicken was drowning in a tasteless soy colored sauce and the pieces of chicken were too big and chewy. Food was edible but the taste of the beef was low quality and was slightly slimy and tasted boiled in the Mongolian beef. Very disappointed.

Not so good...none of the 5 fishes we ordered. The noodle dish was way over cooked and the thick noodles were gummy. I ended up throwing it out. There was no spice in the kung poa chicken or Mongolian been. Darn! With the 4 point review score, I was counting on this being good. read more

My son wanted some Chinese food yesterday while we were in between sports so we saw Chen on the way and stopped by. He had orange chicken and I had a cup of egg drop soup and shrimp with lobster sauce. It was pretty good. The Food is served in pretty plates (China) which I thought it was nice touch too. The portions are big so we have left overs each for probably two meals but we also normally don't eat a lot in one sitting. Still found the portions very generous/huge. The egg drop soup was good too but I think I needed a bit of soy sauce, which I didn't ask nor was offered. Service was quick and they weren't too busy. Awful food. Vegetable Chop suey came on lomein noodles. No rice. Vegs were 1 mushroom, 4 broccoli florets and some celery. I know stir fry is always lightly cooked but this was raw. My husband ordered chicken and rice .he got the same kind of noodles as mine with some very thin pieces of brown meat. Never will we go back. Overall the flavors are delicious and perfect but unfortunately the ratio of meat to vegetables is way out of balance. After eating all the meat in my dish, my plate still looked full but it was entirely vegetables that remained. Don't get me wrong, I love vegetables but I am also not a vegetarian! I'm not sure if it's the items I ordered or what, but I had extreme food poisoning!!! I ordered online for pickup , driving out of my way to go here after reading the reviews and wanting to try a new establishment. They forgot one of my items ordered so I called them, in which she remembered me and told me that she'd issue a credit for next time, since she knew. Needless to say, I'm scared to eat here again now! Here it is 2:45 AM and I'm seriously ill! The front staff is wonderful so this is no reflection to the staff. I ordered the sweet n sour chicken, fried dumplings and egg rolls(which were forgotten) but, something didn't sit right with it. If I decide to give them a second chance I'll try something different but at this point I'm not sure that I'd return other then to get a refund for my missing item. Once I've had a bad experience eating at an establishment, it takes me years to return, if at all. The staff is super friendly and nice and since I'm not sure if they are the owners I wouldn't recommend that you didn't eat here because they do have good reviews but, I'm just not happy with my personal experience eating from this establishment. This is hands-down one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in town. The way they treat everyone like family is truly heartwarming. You can tell they have a loyal group of regulars, and even when they're busy, they go out of their way to make every customer feel special. The food is consistently delicious. I highly recommend the orange or lemon chicken, egg foo young, hot and sour soup, and Singapore noodles--though honestly, I've never had a dish here that wasn't fantastic. This is a hidden gem. Some of the best Chinese food we've had in the area! The prices are reasonable as well. The only things I wish they would do better, but I almost don't want them to because I like that it's not very crowded. But if they want to take it to the next level, they need to get servers that will actually bring you more than one or two drinks before they bring the Bill to rush you out. Sometimes we like to have a few beers and not get the bill after one or two. Also, there are family members or children of the family always there and they are very loud and distracting. Post Christmas Kung Pao chicken sounded like the perfect dinner and it was absolutely perfect. Hot ,freshly made with lots of ingredients and the portions are ample. . I got egg rolls also and they were crisp and tasty. The steamed rice was cooked well . They included a serving of egg drop soup and it had me going yum over and over- it was the best I have had in a long time. We love the Singapore Rice Noodles with Shrimp (go Mild on the Curry if you want less spicy). And Egg Drop Soup. Definitely an excellent go-to if you feel a cold or flu. The good thing about this place is that they prepared our food quickly, and the portion sizes were abundant. The food however left a lot to be desired. We ordered a few non meat items, but one of them I'm pretty sure had meat in it. The other dish was seafood, but it too tasted like it had been fried in the same oil as the other meats. I have been eating here as well as takeout for many years, but never again! My wife and I came in for dinner tonight, and they were apparently slammed. We ordered, but the woman who took our order did not write anything down. Everything was fine until the mains showed up, and mine was wrong. I clearly ordered Mongolian Beef and she brought Kung Pao Beef. When I told her it was incorrect, she actually argued with me.... said I ordered Kung Pao Beef! I told her that I always order the Mongolian Beef and my wife and I were sure I ordered it tonight. She stated that I didn't, but "this time" she will order Mongolian Beef, like she was doing me a favor as I was obviously wrong. I have been ordering and eating Chinese food for over 60 years, I know what I ordered. So, since she was "right" and tried to make me "wrong", she ended up losing a good customer. First time getting food from this restaurant. Placed the order over the phone - the lady on the phone was very pleasant and ordering process was easy and accurate - we're off to a very good start! The food was ready shortly after we arrived at the restaurant- paid at the door and a few minutes later everything was ready. We ordered four dishes - Kung Pao chicken, Kung Pao beef, pork Lo Mein, and beef with string beans. The Kung Pao dishes were both very good. We ordered both dishes extra spicy and they had a good flavor and heat level. We also liked the generous amount of peanuts with each Kung Pao dish. The pork Lo Mein was just ok, it seemed to be lacking brightness and an element of fresh vegetables that we have had from other Chinese restaurants in the region.
