Over half the broth left and there is nothing left of ingredients

This being the only Asian food in town, it's kind of pointless to review, but, I need to say that they closed and reopened shortly ago (under new management) and we are now getting far less food for what was already rather pricy. My main issue in this order was my hot and sour soup. It contained next to no ingredients! Seriously, it was a container of broth and a spoonful of tofu. It should have meat, mushrooms, sliced bamboo shoots, etc, and truly could have put all the ingredients onto one soup spoon. I splurged for this disappointment.

So, we decided to have some authentic Chinese food in Reno for celebration after finishing the dance festival this Sunday. We revisited The Wok Chinese Cuisine because we had wonderful experience in their food before. However, this time, we specifically ordered Sichuan style Chinese food because my wife love some spicy. We ordered two spicy and one non-spicy cuisine. Once again, this restaurant satisfy us completely. Whether the food is spicy or not, they all taste sooooo delicious and go very well with rice. We finished the rice we ordered and the owner gave us rice refill for free. We loved that. Overall speaking, the food are excellent, the service are exceptional friendly, and the price is very reasonable, especially for Californian like us. I wish they could open a branch in Sacramento soon. Before that happens, we will definitely visit this restaurant again next time we visit Reno

Some of our must-haves are the salt and pepper calamari - perfectly crisp with just the right hint of batter. It's flavorful and cooked to perfection. Janet and her team go above and beyond to make sure you're well taken care of. They're always accommodating with special requests and make you feel like part of the family. We decided to check out Louie's Mandarin Gourmet. Needless to say we were disappointed. We felt we had to order an appetizer of egg rolls because the lunch special only offered soup. The egg rolls themselves were disappointing. They contained only chopped cabbage and nothing else. I ordered the Mongolian Beef Lunch Special with the Egg Drop Soup. I upgraded the lunch special substituting egg chow mein for the rice side for $2. The lunch special is also supposed to come with steamed vegetables. The Mongolian Beef itself was tasty. What was disappointing were the sides. The steamed vegetables was steamed cabbage. What I would expect to receive for steamed vegetables in a setting like that would be broccoli and carrots at a minimum. The egg chow mein noodles that I received looked like rice vermicelli to me and not chow mein noodles and they were rather bland and disappointing. My dining companion ordered the chicken curry. He reported that it was disappointing because it had lots of potato and nothing else very much chicken at all. And the curry itself was rather bland. Needless to say this was a disappointing dining experience.

I didn't see anything but if you keep following the road, you'll go behind a plaza and lo and behold, you will see the restaurant. My first visit was very nice. My waiter was very polite and provided very prompt service. I do like that. They have a lunch special. I believe it's daily up until 3 PM. I believe so far I tried their Mongolian beef and their chow mein. My only gripe was the eggrolls. No meat just veggies. However the lunch specials are pretty kind to the old wallet. Both times I have ventured here. I have had great service from the staff. Also, I really enjoyed my main dishes.

The atmosphere was nice, clean, well decorated, and organized. I forgot the name of our waitress, but in the middle of me asking a question she walked off said I'll be right back. She was the youngest waitress there. She did come back and apologize, no issue was made, I accepted apology said it's alright and proceeded to order. Our order was Pho #9 with meatballs to go and one for the table, honey garlic chicken served with fried rice. While waiting for our order we were served water and our drinks. Along with the water a pitcher was placed in the table to refill the water cups, which was greatly appreciated. Son enjoyed a bottled Sapporo and added on some potstickers. The fried rice served with the meal was washed, but was on the mushier end, and any additions to the rice were missing. It was basically white rice, and soy sauce with a couple of pea sized speckles of egg, and I mean a couple, as you can see in the video. The pho was decent at best, the large portion was the small portion in other pho restaurants. Son loves it and enjoyed his meal greatly. The honey garlic chicken was fried to a crisp, and then sauced. The fry held up to the heavy thick sauce. The potstickers were good. They seemed almost deep fried or air fried as opposed to a traditional pan fry where one side is toasted and the rest it soft textured. However it was still pleasantly tasty and was served with a decent sauce! Would I return? Probably not, I have no doubt that it's good for this small town!!!

There's just something comforting about a warm bowl of Pho; it's basically a hug in soup form. So happy to finally have a place in Fernley that serves Pho. Looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu!

Dragon City is the one of the best dining establishments in Fernley, NV. There, I said it, and I stand by it. Inside, you will find a comfortable atmosphere with warm lighting and friendly service. Especially compared to other places in town, the seating is quiet, comfortable, and inviting. The food may be a little on the pricey side, but you get a TON of it with every serving and will have extra food to eat for the next day or two, easily, to the point it's like purchasing food for a family of three for three days. I usually order my food to-go, over the phone, and it's usually ready in ten minutes. Even if they say the wait will be 20-30 minutes, it's generally ready in 15-20. They'll even text you when the food is ready! Dragon City's food is flavorful and consistent, which cannot be said for the other Chinese food restaurants in town (and none of them have even close to the same atmosphere). What I especially appreciate about this establishment is that their meat is always tender, especially their Sesame Chicken. Wow, what a dish! It's my family's favorite. Our other go-to dishes are Broccoli Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, Pork Mu-Shu, and of course the trusted standbys, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Chow Mein, and an order of Pot Stickers. Their Sweet & Sour Pork and Orange (or Lemon) Chicken are pretty decent, too, but sometimes a little sweeter than we're in the mood for since we're also getting the Sesame Chicken nearly every time. All-in-all, Dragon City is one our favorite places to frequent in this little town. We had avoided even trying the place back when it was called, IIRC, "Louie's Chinese Bistro." I just couldn't picture a guy named 'Louie' running a Chinese place, and "Bistro", a French word for a place that cooks comfort food... yeah, I couldn't reconcile that as a place I wanted to go for Chinese cuisine. I don't know if they changed ownership or just the name, but once they became Dragon City, we gave them a shot and we are very happy we did. The quality was so far over the other Chinese places in town that we've never been tempted to go elsewhere again.

This one even had sweet, perfectly cooked carrots. The fried rice was also spot-on: silky egg, peas, carrots, and that familiar flavor so many of us love. Lunch specials run from 11-3 and come with soup, an egg roll, and your choice of rice or noodles. Portions are massive. My only issue, and unfortunately it's a big one, was the service. After taking my order, the gentleman serving me never returned to my table. I couldn't get sweet & sour sauce for my egg roll, and my water was never refilled. I raised my hand several times, but he walked by as if I wasn't there. Finally after waiting for over ten minutes when I was over it, I stood up hoping someone would notice and assume I was trying to leave without paying. That worked and I was immediately handed my check. Of course I still had to ask for a to-go container. The food alone is a 5 star rating, but the service brings the experience as a whole down to a 3. I love Chinese-American food, and this kitchen gets it. Not sure if my race or that I'm a woman was an issue, or if I just got the worst server they have. I hope this reaches the right person because I would like to come back but being ignored and feeling so unwelcome is disheartening.
