    Dirty soup spoon
    Verl H.

We ordered the sweet and sour chicken lunch special with egg drop soup and fried rice. The soup came with a dirty spoon and was lukewarm. The wanton was not crispy and the egg roll was plain. The rice had so much soy sauce in it that it was black. We also had the potstickers and those were good.

Over half the broth left and there is nothing left of ingredients

This being the only Asian food in town, it's kind of pointless to review, but, I need to say that they closed and reopened shortly ago (under new management) and we are now getting far less food for what was already rather pricy. My main issue in this order was my hot and sour soup. It contained next to no ingredients! Seriously, it was a container of broth and a spoonful of tofu. It should have meat, mushrooms, sliced bamboo shoots, etc, and truly could have put all the ingredients onto one soup spoon. I splurged for this disappointment.

The Wok is one of those places, and Sichuan/Chongqing food is one of those things that I'm jealous of people who get to experience it for the first time. Here's how to have an epic time at The Wok: Step 1. Get 4 to 8 people total that aren't afraid to try something a little different and maybe slightly spicy (seriously though it's not actually that spicy). If you need help with this step message me, I'd share a meal with some random people if it's at The Wok. Step 2. Flip to the back page of the menu, and order a few things that sound good to the group. Don't waste your time with the American Chinese menu (even though what I've had off of that menu is actually really good too). Make sure to get a decent mix of stuff like appetizers, veggies, noodle, soup, and meat dishes. Also don't be afraid to order multiple times. This gives you more time with the menu, and you can judge what sounds good in the moment. Step 3. Share the food family style with everyone until you are all full. I think at this point I've eaten everything on the Sichuan menu, and can say that if it sounds good to you, it is! Some of my favorite dishes are: Wontons in Chili oil, Bone in chicken wings, Spicy boiled fish fillet, Beef noodle soup, Green beans, Salt and Pepper tofu, Dan dan noodles, and Mapo Tofu. Finally, Janet (the manager) is amazing, and always willing to give a recommendation.

We were sat quickly, we ordered shortly after looking over the menu. We were told the sushi would be 20-30 minutes because they had one chef and a big party sat down before us, not a problem we understood and ordered anyway. I got my son an order of plain chow mein .... It was very bland and the noodles were overcooked. Luckily my toddler ate it anyways. My hubby and I both got their sushi dinner special A which was 2 rolls an order of nigiri and came with soup, edamame, or salad so I got the miso soup and a side of edamame and my hubby got miso soup. We got waters to drink. And their water tasted weird like dirty tap water or something so we were gonna order sodas and a juice for our son.... Waited for our server to come to the table so we could order.... He didn't come check on us at all. So I went up to their to go counter and ordered our drinks. They were out of apple juice so we chose orange juice for our little and it was lukewarm. He didn't drink it. We got our appetizers... the edamame tasted like dirt, covered in table salt. The miso soup was actually delicious but the cups were so full they were spilling. My son spilled my husbands soup all over so we cleaned it up, had to go back to the to go counter to ask for more napkins.... Because our server never came back to check on us. We got it cleaned up so crisis averted... Our sushi came out and one of the rolls I ordered was HUGE so much rice! The smaller roll I ate one piece and the crystal shrimp in it tasted like it was cooked awhile ago maybe that morning I'm unsure but it tasted off and wasn't a good thing. I didn't eat anymore of that roll as my instinct told me not to. The other roll was good, the nigiri was good but lacked flavor. I got the upside down shrimp with crab. My hubbys nigiri looked old and smelled off so he didn't eat his yellowtail. The rolls he got were small and again lacked flavor. We waited and waited for our server to come back to the table and it took about 20 minutes for him to come back- bring us 2 boxes and the check. No refills, no taking or any dishes. So we paid and left. We clean up after our kiddo when we go out and do our best to ensure the table is easy to clean for them. But we will not be back. It's a shame because it used to be so delicious and the staff used to be so nice! Unsure what happened but if you are looking to go I would recommend going elsewhere. Not worth the drive or hype these days.

Some of our favorites are the Sichuan Chicken or Shrimp, Mandarin Chicken, Sesame Chicken, BBQ Pork appetizer, Chicken Salad, and Won Ton Soup. There's definitely something for everyone! Whether we order takeout or dine in, we've never been disappointed. The food has consistently been good, the prices are reasonable, and there's plenty to choose from. Definitely a place we're happy to keep coming back to! Sorry forgot to take updated pix

The lady (I…read morebelieve she was the owner) who took my order informed me that soup wasn't included in the combination dinner plates - but the price was the same. ??? She was fairly argumentative, but she smiled the whole time. Asked if I could order soup to go (just to see what the reason was for no soup on the combos) and she said I COULD order soup...so my theory of "no soup because they didn't have containers for it" went out the window. I did NOT order soup. Ordered extra beef in the beef and broccoli plate $4 extra. Well I would hate to see what it would have looked like without the extra beef. There is NO way extra beef was added. The general's chicken was mostly breading, as was the sweet and sour pork. The rice was awful. Very mushy and not tasty. All in all, the food was awful. Asked for a glass of Chardonnay while I waited. I was informed I could have white zin or red wine. Most definitely will not be patronizing this establishment again due to poor customer service, unfair pricing, and low-quality food.

The food was authentic and not too greasy, making for a very pleasant dining experience. Sitting there, you naturally want to eat and chat slowly. This one even had sweet, perfectly cooked carrots. The fried rice was also spot-on: silky egg, peas, carrots, and that familiar flavor so many of us love. Lunch specials run from 11-3 and come with soup, an egg roll, and your choice of rice or noodles. Portions are massive. My only issue, and unfortunately it's a big one, was the service. After taking my order, the gentleman serving me never returned to my table. I couldn't get sweet & sour sauce for my egg roll, and my water was never refilled. I raised my hand several times, but he walked by as if I wasn't there. Finally after waiting for over ten minutes when I was over it, I stood up hoping someone would notice and assume I was trying to leave without paying. That worked and I was immediately handed my check. Of course I still had to ask for a to-go container. The food alone is a 5 star rating, but the service brings the experience as a whole down to a 3. I love Chinese-American food, and this kitchen gets it. Not sure if my race or that I'm a woman was an issue, or if I just got the worst server they have. I hope this reaches the right person because I would like to come back but being ignored and feeling so unwelcome is disheartening.
