Good take-out food. You can get all white meat chicken if you request it. The staff is courteous and the food is cooked when you order so it is hot. We like the orange chicken, mixed vegetables, all of the noodles. read more

I love this little take out. It is not really a place where you eat in since all is served on tin and has that tinny taste. But the food is good and fresh. The family that runs this restaurant will cook to order. Less salt or oil. And will provide your choice of vegetables. I enjoy this place for lunch and a take home meal of good Asian food. read more

It's good, not anything fancy and what you would expect from a take out Chinese restaurant. You could do worse. The owners/staff are wonderful and very friendly. I mean, yeah, the restaurant area is not sparkly clean but the service is impeccable and food very good. Not sure if rating a take out restaurant's dining area is relevant. Two visits and you're on a first name basis. Sweet and sour chicken is a favorite of mine. Best part, unlike a lot of the local Chinese take out spots in St. Tammany, no yellow rice! Pork Fried Rice is very close to Trey Yuen's in Mandeville as well as the eggs rolls. However, the entrees are 1-2 stars at best. The beef and chicken are not very good and don't really look like beef or chicken. I go for the Rice, Egg Rolls, and soup mostly. They don't have AC so the door stays open and I swat a lot of flies when sitting at the small waiting area table. read more

I'm now a regular customer at China City, about once to twice a month. On a recent trip to New York, we had Chinese take out that was so bad, we wished it had been as good as China City's food. Reasonable prices and your food is prepared exactly how you tell them (all white meat, no msg, sauces on side, etc). My favorite place on the Northshore for Chinese take out. Oh and the employees there are very nice...always smiling when I pick up my order:) read more

Their lo mein is perfect. Everything is very fresh and yummy. The sesame chicken is also great.

Not bad, not great. Typical Americanized Chinese takeout, which I have to say is a bit on the pricy side for the quality. Defiantly wouldn't be my go to for Chinese, but in a pinch it works. read more

China city is the best China take out place around. They are always fast and the food is always so good and you get so much. The employers are the nicest. Nothing fancy. The food is fresh, excellent and plenty. Very nice people. Try the Shrimp Mai Fun or the General Tso Chicken and try the fried dumplings. Oh, the Won Ton Soup is good and they even have brown rice if you want it. Good Spring and Egg rolls. Overall excellent. I've been eating their food since they first opened around 2001. read more

We ordered (4) crab Ragoon, (2) vegetable egg rolls, & a large fried rice. Total came to just over $13 and we were pleased with everything we ordered. Crab Ragoon were small but tasty and priced well ($2.50 for 4) First time I ever ordered veggie egg rolls and I was very happy with that choice. Ate left over rice for the entire next day :) Employees were very nice. We will be back soon. read more
