My wife and I lunched at family-operated Non La in Covington and were quite pleased. Non La features Vietnamese-Asian Fusion cuisine, with a focused offering of original takes on traditional favorites, along with some truly innovative new dishes as well. Don't let the somewhat mundane strip mall location fool you, as there are some very good things going on here! We shared the fried calamari and crispy pork dumpling appetizers, while she followed with hot and sour soup and I, with the tasty Japanese pepper beef. All were very good, but the star may have been the dumplings, which were some of the best I've ever had. Service was friendly and efficient and prices were extremely competitive. If you like contemporary Asian fusion, you should really try Non La in Covington. read more

This lunch was exceptional! Even though their AC was not working at full capacity (which several workers apologized profusely for), it was a very enjoyable meal. The food was all delicious. The service was wonderful. And we even got personalized chopsticks to take home! We ordered: a side of pho broth, a hot and sour soup, 2 chargrilled pork vermicelli bowls, the three meat rice plate, a hot Vietnamese coffee and iced tea. The coffee was delicious! Both soups were great, rich in flavor. The chargrilled pork bowls were fresh and flavorful and the egg roll that came with them was very good. The fish sauce was a little too sweet but that's a minor issue. The rice plate was also great, with a very savory sauce. I would love to come back and try some different dishes. read more

Clearly, the five star reviews were written by the owner. This place is far from being five stars. Ordered takeout. I should have known while sitting there looking at the inch layer of dust on seats/chairs. Eggrolls were completely saturated in oil and very small. Pad Thai had a strange flavor, had cubes of something that could not identify saturated in oil. Combination fried rice was anything but fried rice more like old vegetables in white rice no flavor with huge chunks of chicken on top and only a couple of shrimp. Something is very fishy that this place has a five star rating. Complete waste of money all of it went in the trash immediately. Diners beware... read more

Just moved to the Northshore from Memphis TN a couple months ago. We've been having trouble finding Korean food in the area. Found Non La on Yelp and tried it out. Even though their Korean options were limited, our Korean short ribs and pork belly was delicious. The staff are friendly and professional. Currently their business has been slow because of the construction on the bridge and road in front of their location. It's a bit of a challenge to get there but well worth the trip! Stop by sometime for lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed! read more

Amazing!! Loved everything we ate. Restaurant is comfortable and clean. Staff is super sweet and attentive. Best milk tea ever. We ordered the chicken bao sliders and pork kushiyaki for appetizers and they were delicious. Cucumber salad is complementary. We got the Korean L.A. Galbi and Japanese Pepper Beef as entrees. I read through the previous reviews, and the review by Giovanni couldn't be more accurate. Strange flavor, indeed - I couldn't finish the meal and wasted my money. Also, please don't come here for tofu - it's very problematic. In fact, if you're a vegetarian, this restaurant is a bad option. I blame myself, because I kept trying a different dish each time, and I believed the other reviews. At least they are very kind. We kept giving them chances on their deliver food. Gross gross! we have tried at least 4 times with them. Never again.. trust me! Maybe if you ate there it might be different. But UGH! Service was great. The tom kha gai was not good. The soup was this khaki brown color with no trace of coconut flavor. Plenty of mushrooms and chicken, though. The pork Vietnamese bowl was decent, but big chunks of fatty meat. But, service was excellent. The young lady who waited on us couldn't have been kinder or more efficient. This place is a hidden gem. With all the construction, it's easy to pass Non La without seeing it, but it's worth seeking out. My husband and I have been traveling/driving from Los Angeles on our way to Florida and I have been missing Asian food. Boy were we overjoyed to find Non La! I had the meatball Pho and it was the most flavorful broth (and we confirmed it did not have MSG in it - which I'm allergic to). It was delicious! Delicious. For our entrees we e had Vietnamese bowls. One with chargrilled beef and one with chargrilled pork. Both equally delicious. Fish sauce was very tasty. Not your average fish sauce.
